Description

The invention relates to a device for applying joint tape.Walls and ceilings in the interior of buildings are frequently lined with gypsum wallboards, joints of the gypsum wallboards being spread. In order that the split joint joints do not tear open on account of, for example, temperature fluctuations, a so-called joint strip is inserted into the joint joints during the splitting. The joint tape is usually supplied on rollers and then rolled off manually on site and pressed onto the joint joints in a connecting manner between adjoining gypsum board panels. This can be expensive, especially at room ceilings, since work must frequently be carried out standing on ladders. The object of the invention is to provide a device which facilitates and accelerates the application of joint tapes. This object is achieved with the features of claim 1. further developments and advantageous embodiments are specified in the subordinate claims. The device for applying joint tape is characterized according to the invention in that it has a base part on which at least one roller holder is arranged, that the base part has a longitudinal extension which protrudes beyond a joint tape receiving space defined by the roller holder with at least two end regions of the base part, that a first end region is assigned a handle part and that a second end region is assigned a joint tape application unit.A joint tape roll inserted into the device with joint tape threaded into the joint tape application unit can be easily guided along such a joint joint, wherein joint tape adheres to the gypsum board panels by pressing the joint tape application unit against the latter. The grip part thereby enables a one-handed guidance of the device. In order to be able to press the joint tape uniformly and flatly, it is provided according to a further development that the joint tape application unit has at least one press roller. The pressure roller is guided along its entire length on the wall or the ceiling, wherein the joint tape rolls between the pressure roller and the wall or the ceiling. In a further embodiment of the invention, the pressure roller is advantageously oriented axially parallel to the roller holder. The roller holder and the pressure roller thus have parallel axes of rotation or center axes, so that the joint strip is not twisted during rolling and therefore does not stick to one another.According to a further development, at least one joint strip clamp is also assigned to the pressure roller. With the joint tape clamp, the joint tape rolled off from the roll holder is guided on the pressure roll. The device can thus also be attached to joint joints several times in order to be able to process different joint joints one after the other without the joint tape having to be newly threaded into the joint tape application unit.In order to be able to separate the joint strip after reaching the end of a joint and to be able to begin with the next joint, the joint strip application unit according to a further development has at least one joint strip cutting device. In a further embodiment, this joint tape cutting device is arranged downstream of the pressure roller in the direction of a joint tape guided through the joint tape application unit.In a further embodiment of the invention, the joint tape cutting device is formed by a fixed blade, the cutting edge of which is aligned in particular parallel to an axis of rotation of the pressure roller. The joint tape cutting device can thus be arranged at the smallest possible distance from the pressure roller, so that advantageously no further means for guiding the joint tape are to be provided in the joint tape application unit.In order to be able to apply joint tape to butt joints, in particular also on ceilings and other sections which are difficult to reach, it is provided according to a next development of the invention that the grip part is formed by a rod, in particular a telescopic rod is formed. Depending on the length of the rod, walls and ceilings that are at a greater distance or are difficult to reach can then also be easily reached without auxiliary means such as ladders or the like and time can also be saved since no auxiliary means have to be re-aligned again and again. Suitable lengths of the rod can be between 1.5 and 6 m, in particular between 2 m and 4 m.In a further embodiment, the grip part is pivotably connected to the base part. The grip part formed by a rod can thus be aligned at different angles to the base part with the roller holder and the joint tape application unit, while the base unit is guided along the joint in a predetermined manner.Alternatively or additionally to the pivotable connection of the handle part and the base part, the handle part can also be connected rotatably to the base part. This allows for further freedom in guiding the device. In a further embodiment, the roller holder has surfaces angled towards one another, on which a roller can be clamped by joint tape and which can be rotated about the central axis of the roller holder. This ensures that the joint tape on the roll holder can be unwound in a simple manner and can be held under tension. At the same time, the roll with joint tape is held securely on the roll holder without slipping off the latter. An exemplary embodiment of the invention, from which further developments essential to the invention can be obtained, is illustrated in the drawing. The same parts are provided with the same reference numerals in all figures of the drawing. The following are shown: FIG. 1 : a first side view of a device according to the invention, and FIG. 2 : a second side view of the device according to the invention according to FIG. 1.FIG. 1 shows a device with a base part 1 and a handle part 2, which are connected to one another in a detachable manner from one another and pivotable relative to one another via a hinge 3 of the handle part 2. The base part 1 carries a roller holder 4 with a central axis oriented at right angles to a longitudinal extension of the base part 1. The roller holder 4 defines a joint tape receiving region in which a roller with joint tape can be pushed onto the roller holder 4 in the direction of the central axis A. The base part 1 protrudes beyond the joint tape receiving space on both sides in the longitudinal extension, wherein on the one hand an end region 1 aof the base part 1 is detachably connected to the hinge 3 of the grip part 2 and on the other hand a free end region 1 bof the base part 1 carries a joint tape application unit 5.The joint tape application unit 5 has a pressing roller 6, a joint tape clamp 7 and a joint tape cutter 8. The pressure roller 6 is aligned parallel to the axis A of the roller holder 4. The joint tape clamp 7 abuts the pressure roller 6, wherein the joint tape clamp 7 presses against the pressure roller 6 with a predetermined prestress and forms a joint tape holder on the pressure roller 6. The joint tape cutting device 8 is arranged directly downstream of the pressure roller 6 in the direction of a joint tape threaded into the joint tape application unit 5 and has a cutting edge 8 aparallel to an axis of rotation B of the pressure roller 6.It can further be seen from FIG. 1 that the axis of rotation B of the pressure roller 6 and the central axis A of the roller holder 4 are each rotated through 90° with respect to a hinge axis C of the hinge 3. In addition, the hinge axis C is oriented at right angles to the longitudinal extent of the base part 1 and a longitudinal extent of a rod 9 forming the grip part 2. In order to prevent an undesired pivoting, the hinge 3 can also be fixed by an associated securing means 10, wherein the hinge 3 is blocked. It can additionally be seen from FIG. 2 that the roller holder 4 and the pressure roller 6 have the same width, which corresponds to the width of a joint strip to be applied. It can also be seen that the roller holder 4 is formed from surfaces 11 angled relative to one another, on which surfaces a roller can be clamped by joint tape. The angled surfaces 11 are rotatable about the central axis A in order to allow joint tape to be unwound from the roll.
