Abstract

Heat storage system (1) for storing heat, comprising a water storage tank (2) which has an inlet (Z_K) for cold water and an outlet (A_W) for drawing off hot water, wherein the heat storage system (1) comprises a storage charging system (3) which includes a pump (4) and an electrically operated, potable water-suitable instantaneous water heater (5), wherein the storage charging system (3) is connected to the water storage tank (2) by an outlet (A_K) for drawing off water to be heated or by the inlet for cold water and an inlet (Z_W) for the heated water or by the outlet for drawing off hot water, wherein the pump (4) and the instantaneous water heater (5) can be operated by means of renewable energy, characterized in that a control unit (6) is assigned to the instantaneous water heater (5) which is configured to receive data from an intelligent energy management device (7),which relate to the excess energy provided by an energy source (8), in order to control the storage charging system (3) depending on the evaluated data, which is designed to heat water withdrawn through the outlet (A_K) of the water storage tank (2) or the inlet for cold water depending on a target temperature value (T_Set) of the heat storage system (1) and to supply it to the water storage tank (2) via the inlet (Z_W) or the outlet of the water storage tank (2) for hot water withdrawal.
