Remote current sensor monitoring system and GPS tracking system and method for mechanized irrigation systems

A wireless interface remote monitoring system for self-propelled irrigation systems (center pivot and lateral move sprinklers) includes a remote terminal unit (RTU) mounted on an outer drive tower of the irrigation system. The RTU includes a radio transceiver capable of sending and receiving data packets over a satellite or terrestrial telemetry backbone to and from a central control computer. The RTU further includes a current sensor and a GPS receiver both for detecting movement or non-movement of the sprinkler, a microprocessor with nonvolatile memory for storing current data and GPS coordinate data from readings taken in series over time, and a pressure or flow sensor for detecting the presence or absence of water flow at the outer drive tower of the sprinkler. The current sensor connected between the RTU and a tower drive motor, allows the RTU to calculate the “movement” or “non-movement” of the irrigation system over a specified time period. Redundantly, the GPS receiver records changes in position to indicate movement or non-movement within the GPS error tolerance. Once a change from movement to non-movement or vice-versa is determined, the RTU transmits the data by satellite or radio telemetry to a central control computer which logs the movement or non-movement of the monitored drive tower, the GPS coordinate data and the water status readings, all with time and date stamp. The central control computer creates “page message” and “text message” updates as necessary on the status of individual irrigation systems and “groups” of irrigation systems that are in turn delivered to wireless devices and computers for sprinkler operators.

Mist Generator and Mist Emission Rendering Apparatus

[OBJECTS AND PROBLEMS] Relating to a mist generator capable of emitting any of chemical substances used in life, such as perfumes, pharmaceuticals and pesticides, in the form of fog or vapor. An object of the invention is to attain means for efficiently atomizing liquid, means for easily and rapidly switching the type of chemical substance emitted and a compact apparatus of good maintainability. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] An apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transducer; an ultrasonic propagation medium disposed so as to fill a plane of vibration of the transducer; liquid retaining means disposed so as to be in contact with an end face of the medium; and an ultrasonic focusing reflecting mechanism (concave reflection mirror) disposed in an ultrasonic propagation path, thereby the apparatus attains discharging into air and atomization of the liquid by means of ultrasonic waves. Atomization efficiency is enhanced by the use of an ultrasonic reflection tube, and mist emission is carried out. Use is made of a compact liquid container equipped at its bottom with an ultrasonic transmission membrane. Various types of liquids can be atomized by changing the direction of ultrasonic course. Mist can be emitted by means of a thermal current as heating means. IC tag is attached to the liquid retaining means or liquid injection means.

Nanofibrous nonwoven membrane of silk fibroin for guided bone tissue regeneration and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention relates to a membrane for guided bone tissue regeneration and, more particularly, to a membrane for guided bone tissue regeneration having a structure that silk fibroin nanofibers obtained by removing sericin from silk fibers are formed as a nonwoven, and a manufacturing method thereof. A membrane for guided bone tissue regeneration according to the present invention has a predetermined strength, biocompatibility, and biodegradability, and may maintain a sustained drug release system, when drugs are added in the manufacturing process. Additionally, a membrane for guided bone tissue regeneration according to the present invention may be modified corresponding to the condition of usage, because a thickness of the membrane may be adjusted by controlling fineness of nanofibers, compactness of nanofibers, and pore size of a multiporous structure may be adjusted, in a nonwoven manufacturing process. A nanofibrous membrane for guided bone tissue regeneration according to the present invention is manufactured by freezing rapidly, drying a silk fibroin solution obtained by removing sericin from silk fibers, and by electrospinning after dissolving the dried silk fibroin in an electrospinning solvent. The membrane according to the present invention has excellent adhesion and air permeability, and is thereby effective in regeneration of damaged periodontal tissues.
