Method of delaying space allocation for parallel copying garbage collection

The present invention relates to a method of delaying space allocation for parallel copying garbage collection in a data processing system comprising a memory divided in a current area (from-space) used by at least a program thread during current program execution and reserve area (to-space), and wherein a copying garbage collection is run in parallel by several collector threads, the garbage collection consisting in stopping the program threads and flipping the roles of the current area and reserved area before copying into the reserved area the live objects stored in the current area. Such a method comprises the steps of checking (12) by one collector thread the live objects of the current area to be copied in said reserved area, the live objects being referenced by a list of pointers; storing for each live object, a record into an allocation log, this record including at least the address of the object and its size; adding (14) the object size to a total_size which is the accumulated size of all the checked objects for which a record has been stored in the allocation log; and copying (20) all the checked objects into the reserved area when the value of total_size reaches a predetermined allocation bound.

Block storage algorithm applicable to multiple paths of concurrent-written stream media data

The invention relates to a block storage algorithm applicable to multiple paths of concurrent-written stream media data. In the security and protection monitoring industry, requirements on the storage property of a video server are higher and higher as the project scale is continuously expanded and a high-definition front-end camera is used. A bottleneck formed by concurrent writing of hundreds of external video data of the camera into a single storage server is analyzed. A file system breaks down easily and the data is seriously lost under the abnormal condition of the server. After a disk is repeatedly covered and written, a large number of disk fragmentations are generated and the storage property is also reduced. According to the invention, the problems are analyzed, and a strategy for establishing a self-cache system through bypassing a file system layer, as well as a block storage idea and an available block searching algorithm on the basis of the block storage idea are provided. Through the online use of a practical product, the feasibility and the reliability of the block storage algorithm are verified.

Optical transport system and resource optimization method

In the optical transport system a transport frame generator divides a transport frame accommodating plural client signals into plural transmission signals. Subcarrier transmission units convert the signals into optical signals using different optical carriers and transmit the converted optical signals. Subcarrier reception units receive the transmitted optical signals and convert the optical signals into reception signals. A transport frame termination unit combines the reception signals to restore the transport frame. A time-demultiplexing processor time-demultiplexes the restored transport frame to be separated into the client signals. A time slot control unit determines a new time slot allocation when time-multiplexing the client signals in the transport frame and stops supply of electric power to a subcarrier transmission unit and a subcarrier reception unit that transmit and receive an optical signal to which the client signals are not allocated.
