This invention relates to the field of functional
regenerated cellulose fiber technology, and more particularly to a pH-adaptive, weakly acidic, antibacterial modified
regenerated cellulose fiber composition and its applications. The composition includes: pH-adaptive, weakly acidic modified
regenerated cellulose fiber, which is a fiber in which weakly acidic groups and a
citric acid-
sodium citrate buffer system are covalently grafted onto the molecular chain of the regenerated
cellulose fiber; the weakly acidic groups are
citric acid groups and / or
lactic acid groups; and non-irritating antibacterial modified regenerated
cellulose fiber; the weight ratio of the pH-adaptive, weakly acidic modified fiber to the non-irritating antibacterial modified regenerated
cellulose fiber is 3-8:2-5. The advantages of this invention are that the
fiber composition preparation process is simple, the raw materials are readily available, and it can be directly adapted to existing spunlace
nonwoven fabric production lines without the need for additional equipment, making it suitable for large-scale industrial production. The resulting
nonwoven fabric for wet wipes and flushable spunlace fabric for wet
toilet paper have excellent pH adaptability, long-lasting weak acidity, and non-irritating antibacterial properties, and can be widely used in
infant care,
sensitive skin cleansing, and
personal hygiene fields.
