This invention discloses an antibacterial and mosquito-repellent
composite material based on
plant extracts, its preparation method, and a latex paint. The method includes: providing a
zinc ion solution and an alkaline precipitant solution, wherein the alkaline precipitant solution is selected from at least one of
sodium hydroxide solution,
potassium hydroxide solution, or
ammonia water; mixing and reacting the
zinc ion solution and the alkaline precipitant solution, controlling the final pH value of the reaction to be 8-11, and then post-
processing to obtain nano-
zinc oxide particles; dispersing the nano-zinc
oxide particles in an L-
cysteine solution, adding a stabilizer to obtain an L-
cysteine-modified nano-zinc
oxide dispersion; adding β-
alanine and
plant extracts to the nano-zinc oxide dispersion, homogenizing and
drying to obtain the antibacterial and mosquito-repellent
composite material; wherein the
plant extract is selected from at least one of
thymol or
geraniol, nocaketone, physalisol,
citronella oil, and lemon
eucalyptus oil, combined with
thymol. This invention can produce an antibacterial and mosquito-repellent
composite material with long-lasting antibacterial and mosquito-repellent effects.
