Cooling system, motor vehicle equipped with cooling system, and control method of cooling system

A cooling system of the invention mounted on a motor vehicle has a damper configured to switch over an air blow mode between an inside air intake mode of taking in the air from a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle via operation of a battery blower fan and directly blowing the intake air to a battery and an A / C intake mode of taking in the air cooled down by an air conditioner (evaporator) via operation of the battery blower fan and blowing the cooled intake air to the battery. In response to a switchover demand of the air blow mode, when a vehicle speed is not lower than a preset reference speed, a switchover of the damper is immediately performed to switch over the air blow mode. When the vehicle speed is lower than the preset reference speed, the switchover of the damper is prohibited to keep the air blow mode unchanged. At the higher vehicle speed, the drive-related noise (background noise) sufficiently masks the wind noise occurring in the course of the switchover of the damper. The damper is thus switched over only at the vehicle speed of not lower than the preset reference speed. This arrangement effectively prevents the driver and the other passengers from feeling odd and uncomfortable.

Personal breathing filter

A personal air filtration device has a cylindrical exhalation tube, with a one-way valve thereon. Concentric around the periphery of the exhalation tube and integrally connected to the exhalation tube rearward (proximate the user's mouth) of the one-way valve is a filter media housing. Filter media is contained between the housing and the tube. A plurality of perforations in the exhalation tube, rearward of the one way valve but forward from the housing connection ring, provide inhaled air ingress to the exhalation tube. Inhaled air forces the one-way valve closed, so that air is directed through the filter media, passes through the perforations and into the exhalation tube where the user can take in the cleansed air. The pressure of the exhaled air through the exhalation tube causes the one-way valve to open, so that exertion by the user is minimized.

Personal air filter with amplifier and vibrator

A personal air filter with amplifier and vibrator having a mouthpiece and housing, incorporating filter media, with amplifier and vibrator. Inhaled air flows into the housing through the rearward vent end, past the amplifier and vibrator then through the filter media, and then out the forward end vent mouthpiece for inhalation of cleansed air by the user. The device is held to the mouth by the user's lips for the duration of the inhalation, without using hands or attachments to face. During inhalation and exhalation, the device is retained between the lips with the air flow moving through the housing in either direction past the amplifier producing audible sound for monitoring the duration of inhalation and exhalation facilitating controlled breathing. During vocalized respiration, the air flow moving past the oscillating vibrator produces oscillation vibration for internal massage or communicating said vibration to another person. A method of controlled breathing results from a sequential order and equivalent duration of breathing through abdominal, chest and thoracic regions of lungs, by the user monitoring the duration and rate of audible respiration. The device results in relaxation, rather than contraction, of muscles. Increased proficiency results in longer intervals of inhalation, retention and exhalation. Concentration on breathing cycle is achieved via the audible respiration effected by the resonant device housing. An oscillating membrane also transmits vibration to user's facial and cranial areas and internally massages body, as well as transmitting and communicating said vibration to another person facilitating educational, training leisure, pleasure, health, fitness and therapeutic use. Thus a considerably more versatile personal air filter is invented which can be conveniently, efficiently and effectively placed to the mouth for inhaling air, and is suitable for using during a variety of normal daily activities to filter inhaled air, audibly control breathing and vibrate to stimulate, optimize and enhance circulation.
