Description

The present invention relates to a system for real-time monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and for automatically generating alerts using self-service business intelligence (BI) platforms. It enables seamless integration of data sources, dynamic dashboard updates, and smart notifications based on predefined thresholds. This system also allows non-technical users to configure, visualize, and utilize KPI insights without having to have advanced programming intelligence. In today's fast-lived business world, companies rely heavily on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track their performance, make informed decisions, and quickly respond to changed conditions. However, conventional KPI monitoring systems are often static, very technical, and require special IT interventions to change dashboards or to generate reports. This lack of flexibility results in delayed decision making, missed chances and inefficiencies, particularly when real-time look-up into critical metrics is required. Moreover, conventional business intelligence (BI) tools often operate in a reactive mode in which the participants analyze the data only after events have occurred. These tools do not typically have real-time warning mechanisms, making it difficult to detect anomalies or threshold crossings immediately. Moreover, technically unverified users have difficulty in setting up complex data integrations or configuring alerts because there are no intuitive self-service functions. This leads to a dependence on the IT teams, increases the operational complexity and slows down the responsiveness of the company. The present invention addresses these challenges by introducing a system that utilizes self-service BI platforms for real-time tracking of KPIs and generating smart alerts. By allowing users to define KPIs, set thresholds, and obtain immediate alerts via intuitive interfaces, the system enables all participants to proactively monitor performance, regardless of their technical knowledge. The invention increases agility, ensures timely intervention and improves the data-controlled decision making in the entire company. An object of the present disclosure is to enable monitoring of KPIs in real time, allowing immediate insight into enterprise performance.Another object of the present disclosure is to enable non-technical users to configure and track KPIs without relying on IT teams.Another object of the present disclosure is to automate data integration from various sources to obtain a comprehensive overview of performance.Another object of the present disclosure is to process and analyze data in real time to enable proactive decision making.Another object of the present disclosure is to provide customizable dashboards and visualizations for intuitive and effective KPI tracking.Another object of the present disclosure is to provide multiple channel automatic alerts to ensure a timely response to critical events.Another object of the present disclosure is to improve data security and control by role-based access management and user permissions.Another object of the present disclosure is to increase operational efficiency and flexibility by enabling faster responses to changing business conditions.Other objects and advantages of the present disclosure will become apparent from the following description, which is not intended to limit the scope of the present disclosure. The present invention generally enables companies to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) in real-time using self-service business intelligence (BI) platforms. It provides continuous, up-to-date insight into critical business metrics and allows users to track performance as they take place. An embodiment of the present invention is that the system integrates data from various sources such as third party databases, cloud services, and APIs. This data is consolidated into a single, contiguous view to ensure that the users have access to all the necessary information for comprehensive KPI tracking.Another embodiment of the invention is that non-technical users can easily define, configure and adjust KPIs via an intuitive interface. The system allows users to set thresholds, time frames, and metrics tailored to specific business requirements without requiring special programming skills.Another embodiment of the invention is that customizable visualizations, including graphics, charts, and gauges, are generated in real-time to present KPIs. Users can interact with these visualizations, break down certain data points, and adjust the views to obtain deeper insights.Another embodiment of the invention is that the system automatically triggers warnings when KPIs exceed predefined threshold values or anomalies are detected. The warning messages are sent over a plurality of channels, so that the relevant interest groups are informed promptly about critical changes.Another embodiment of the invention includes a robust user management system that allows administrators to assign roles and permissions. This ensures secure access to sensitive data and ensures that only authorized users can configure KPIs, view data, or receive alerts. The present invention relates to the system for real-time KPI monitoring and alarm generation using self-service BI platforms and is divided into several key modules, each of which handles a particular aspect of the invention. The modules cooperate to provide seamless KPI tracking, proactive monitoring, and smart alarm generation, all in a user-friendly environment.Data integration and aggregation module:This module is responsible for connecting and aggregating data from various sources, including internal databases, cloud services, third party applications, and external APIs. It supports a wide range of data formats, including structured and unstructured data, and ensures that all relevant information is accessible for analysis. The module uses connectors to seamlessly integrate data from various systems such as CRM, ERP, or financial platforms, allowing real-time data synchronization and eliminating manual data input. By providing a consolidated view of the data, companies can monitor KPIs from all relevant touch points without having to navigate multiple systems.Module for Defining and Configuring KPIs:In this module, the users can define and adjust the KPIs they wish to track in real time. It offers an intuitive interface that also allows technically unfriended users to select and configure relevant characteristics from prefabricated templates or to define their own formulas. The module also supports dynamic KPI adjustments based on changes in business priorities, where the users can easily change thresholds, time frames, and the granularity of the monitored data. The self-service character of this module ensures that users without advanced programming skills can effectively set up and maintain their KPI monitoring system, thereby reducing dependency on IT resources.Data Processing and Analysis Module:This module is responsible for processing the incoming data in order to obtain findings in real time. Using advanced algorithms and statistical models, it analyzes the data and applies the user-specified KPI definitions. It is equipped with real-time analysis functions such as trend analysis, pattern recognition and anomaly detection. This allows the system to track not only standard KPIs, but also detect emerging trends, outliers, and potential issues before impacting the enterprise. The module ensures that only relevant data is displayed to the users, thereby optimizing the efficiency of monitoring and decision making.Visualization and dashboard module:The visualization and dashboard module provides users with an intuitive, customizable interface for display and interaction with their KPIs. It supports various types of visualizations such as bar charts, line charts, heat maps, and gauges that facilitate users interpreting complex data at a glance. The dashboard is dynamically updated in real time and reflects the most current available data.
