Abstract

Tape dispenser with a storage structure, including: a base ((10)) with a bottom ((11)), wherein a housing element ((12)) covers the base ((10)), the housing element ((12)) is concavely provided with a receiving groove ((13)), the receiving groove ((13)) is pivotably provided with a pivot axis (14), the base (10) has an end which is provided with a cutting section (15), and the cutting section (15) is provided with a cutting blade (16); and a protective cover (20) designed to cover the cutting tool (16) of the cutting section (15) of the base (10) so that the cutting tool (16) is protected from being exposed by the protective cover (20); the tape dispenser is characterized by the fact that: the underside (11) of the base (10) is provided with a storage section (30), the storage section (30) comprising a storage groove (31) and an actuation groove (32), and the actuation groove (32) being provided on one side of the storage groove (31) and being connected to it, the storage groove (31), so that a user's finger can protrude into the actuation groove (32) to facilitate the removal of the protective cover (20) from inside the storage groove (31).

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an adhesive tape dispenser and in particular an adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure. 2. Description of the state of the art

[0002] Tape dispensers are common stationery items in our everyday lives and are used in various environments. A tape dispenser typically consists of a large, stable base, a rotating shaft around which a roll of tape is mounted and which pivots on the base, and a cutting device at one end of the base for cutting the tape. While the above structure provides the basic functionality, the cutting device remains exposed on the tape dispenser, which raises some safety concerns.

[0003] If a protective cover is provided to cover the cutting device, it must be removed before the tape dispenser can be used. However, if the protective cover is haphazardly placed or even lost after removal, it cannot protect the user from the cutting device. Therefore, providing a protective cover is still not an ideal improvement over the state of the art. BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0004] The main object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive tape dispenser or unwinder with a storage structure that serves as a fixed storage location for the protective cover described above and prevents the protective cover from being lost due to an arbitrary arrangement.

[0005] To solve the main problem, the adhesive tape dispenser / dispenser with a storage structure, as disclosed in the present invention, comprises a base and a protective cover. The base has a bottom surface, and the housing part is arranged on the bottom surface. The housing part is concave and provided with a receiving groove, and the receiving groove is pivotably provided with a pivot axis. One end of the base is provided with a cutting section, and the cutting section is equipped with a cutting blade. The protective cover is designed to cover the cutting blade of the cutting section. Furthermore, the bottom surface of the base is concave and provided with a storage section, and the storage section comprises a storage groove and an actuation groove.The actuation groove is located on one side of the storage groove, is connected to the storage groove, and is designed so that when the protective cover is stored in the storage groove, a user's finger can be inserted into the actuation groove to facilitate removal of the protective cover from the storage groove. The protective cover does not protrude from the underside after insertion into the storage groove.

[0006] According to the structure described above, the present invention forms the storage area from the large empty space in a lower region of the base, in order to provide a fixed, suitable storage location for the protective cover. This prevents the protective cover, when stored in the storage groove, from obstructing the operation or placement of the tape dispenser, and furthermore, by providing a fixed storage location for the protective cover, prevents it from being lost through accidental placement. Consequently, the object of the invention is achieved. [0008] Referring to all the drawings, the adhesive tape dispenser disclosed in the present invention comprises a storage structure, a base 10 and a protective cover 20.

[0009] The base 10 has a bottom surface 11 that allows the tape dispenser to be placed on a flat surface. A housing part 12 covers the base 10. The housing part 12 is concave and has a receiving groove 13, and the receiving groove 13 is pivotally mounted on a pivot axis 14. The pivot axis 14 is designed so that a tape roll (not shown) can be mounted around it. One end of the base 10 has a cutting section 15, and the cutting section is equipped with a cutting blade 16.

[0010] The protective cover 20 is designed to cover the cutting blade 16 of the cutting section 15 of the base and thereby protect the cutting blade from exposure.

[0012] The underside 11 of the base is concave and provided with a storage section 30. The storage section 30 comprises a storage groove 31 and an operating groove 32. The storage groove 31 has a greater length than the operating groove 32 in at least one axial direction. The storage groove 31 matches the protective cover 20 in shape and size. In this embodiment, the protective cover 20 is an elongated body and has a side surface provided with a projecting tab 21 to facilitate operation by the user. Furthermore, there are two insertion pins 22 extending from the protective cover 20 in a common direction along one side of the protective cover. The storage groove 31 in this embodiment matches the protective cover 20 in shape and size and is designed as an elongated groove, with one side of the elongated groove having an arcuate shape that fits the tab 21.It should be noted that the protective cover can exist in several configurations and that the configuration shown in this embodiment is only exemplary and not limiting. The operating groove 32 is provided on one side of the storage groove 31 and is connected to the storage groove 31. A user's finger can be inserted into the operating groove 32 to facilitate the removal of the protective cover from the storage groove.

[0013] According to the above structure, the protective cover 20 in the present invention is normally positioned to cover the cutter 16 of the tape dispenser and protect it from being exposed, thus preventing accidents. When the tape dispenser is to be used, the user removes the protective cover 20 and inserts it from the underside 11 of the base into the storage groove 31 of the storage section 30. Since the storage groove 31 is recessed into the base, the protective cover 20 does not protrude from the underside 11 after being inserted into the storage groove 31. This keeps the underside 11 flat, so that its original function is not impaired.

[0014] Once the protective cover 20 has been stored in the storage groove 31, the tape dispenser can be positioned and used like a conventional tape dispenser. When the tape dispenser is no longer in use, the protective cover 20 can be removed from the storage groove 31 to cover the cutting device 16 again. This allows both the tape dispenser and the protective cover to function as intended without interfering with each other.

[0015] To ensure the stability of the protective cover 20 both when stored in the storage groove 31 and when covering the cutter 16, the present invention has the following technical features: The two insertion pins 22 protrude from one side of the protective cover; the storage groove is provided with an opening 33 to allow the insertion of the two insertion pins 22 into the opening; and the cutting section 15 of the base is further provided with two recesses 17, each corresponding to one of the two insertion pins 22, to allow the insertion of the two insertion pins into the recesses when the protective cover 20 covers the cutting section 15. It is clear that the protective cover 20 can engage and be secured in the storage groove 31 in various ways, e.g., by a tight fit or by engagement points.The insertion pins provided in this embodiment are only one example of such insertion and fastening methods, but are not limiting.

Claims

[1] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure, comprising: a base ((10)) with a bottom ((11)), wherein a housing element ((12)) covers the base ((10)), the housing element ((12)) is concavely provided with a receiving groove ((13)), the receiving groove ((13)) is pivotably provided with a pivot axis (14), the base (10) has an end which is provided with a cutting section (15), and the cutting section (15) is provided with a cutting blade (16); and a protective cover (20) designed to cover the cutting tool (16) of the cutting section (15) of the base (10) so that the cutting tool (16) is protected from being exposed by the protective cover (20); where the tape dispenser characterized by is that: the underside (11) of the base (10) is provided with a storage section (30), the storage section (30) comprising a storage groove (31) and an actuation groove (32), and the actuation groove (32) being provided on one side of the storage groove (31) and being connected to it, the storage groove (31), so that a user's finger can protrude into the actuation groove (32) to facilitate the removal of the protective cover (20) from inside the storage groove (31). [2] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 1, wherein the storage groove (31) has a greater length in at least one axial direction than the actuation groove (32). [3] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 2, wherein the protective cover (20) is an elongated body and has a side surface which is provided with a protruding tab (21), wherein the storage groove (31) corresponds in shape and size to the protective cover (20) and is designed as an elongated groove and wherein the elongated groove has a side which has an arc-shaped form corresponding to the tab. [4] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 3, wherein the protective cover (20) has two insertion posts (22) extending from one side of the protective cover (20). [5] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 4, wherein the storage groove (31) is formed therein with an opening 33 into which the two insertion posts (22) can be inserted. [6] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 4, wherein the cutting section (15) of the base (10) is provided with two recesses (17) which each correspond to one of the two insertion pins (22), so that the two insertion pins (22) can be inserted into the recesses (17) when the protective cover (20) covers the cutting section (15). [7] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 1, wherein the protective cover (20) has two insertion pins (22) extending from one side of the protective cover (20). [8] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 7, wherein the storage groove (31) therein is formed with an opening 33 into which the two insertion pins (22) can be inserted. [9] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 7, wherein the cutting section (15) of the base (10) is provided with two recesses (17) which each correspond to one of the two insertion pins (22), so that the two insertion pins (22) can be inserted into the recesses (17) when the protective cover (20) covers the cutting section (15). [10] Adhesive tape dispenser with a storage structure according to claim 1, wherein the protective cover does not protrude from the underside after insertion into the storage groove.
