Abstract

A system for recording neurophysiological states and providing feedback, comprising: at least one sensor unit configured for body-like placement in or on the ear and comprising at least electrodes for recording neurophysiological signals; at least one feedback unit that can be arranged spatially separately from the sensor unit and configured for free positioning on the user's body, wherein the feedback unit is configured to output feedback via at least two sensory channels, one of which is haptic; wherein the system is configured to process the recorded signals using a trained classification model that determines at least one state value from at least three distinguishable state categories based on features of the neurophysiological signals; and wherein the feedback unit is configured to output feedback dependent on the state value.and wherein the system is configured for repeated coupling of state values with feedback over multiple acquisition and feedback cycles, thus supporting a structured mapping between physiological signals and perceptual feedback.
