Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a portable ski pole holder that allows a skier to temporarily attach a pair of ski poles to a chairlift bar, so that the hands are free and the ski poles do not fall off and get lost.
[0002] The holder consists of a plastic body for holding the ski poles and a flexible loop attached to the holder, which allows it to be attached to the lift bar. The loop can be available in various designs, particularly as a Velcro strap or a strap with a magnetic attachment, and is designed to release automatically when a defined tensile force is exceeded to prevent falls or hazards, while also allowing the skier to release it manually with a short pull.
[0003] The plastic body can be made of rigid, elastic, or semi-flexible plastic. The ski poles can be held in place by fully open, partially open, or slotted cylinders, with different cross-sectional shapes available to accommodate various ski pole diameters.
[0004] The webbing loop can be permanently or detachably attached to the plastic body and can be provided in various lengths, widths, and material finishes. The release of the loop upon exceeding a defined tensile force can be achieved through material properties, predetermined breaking points, or detachable connecting elements.
[0005] The product is portable and carried by the skier (e.g., in a jacket pocket) and is universally compatible with different lift handles. The plastic holder and strap are designed for one-handed operation, even with gloves.
[0006] An embodiment of the invention is described with reference to the Fig. 1 to 2 are explained. The figures show the plastic holder for the ski poles 1, the grip area for easy release 2, and the flexible strap for attachment (Velcro or magnet) 3. Reference symbol list: 1 plastic holder for ski poles 2 Grip area for easy release 3 Flexible straps for attachment (Velcro or magnet)
Claims
[1] Portable ski pole holder for temporarily attaching two ski poles to a chairlift bar, comprising a one-piece plastic body with two tangent, forward-opening receiving cylinders for self-centering the ski poles and a rear-mounted, flexible strap loop, wherein the strap loop is designed for detachable attachment to the chairlift bar and releases automatically when a defined tensile force is exceeded. [2] Ski pole holder according to claim 1, wherein the receiving cylinders each have an arc-shaped opening with rounded edges to allow the ski poles to be inserted and removed with one hand. [3] Ski pole holder according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the strap loop is arranged perpendicular to the rear of the plastic body. [4] Ski pole holder according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the strap loop is designed to be adaptable for different bar diameters, so that the holder can be used universally on different chairlift bars. [5] Ski pole holder according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the strap loop has an end piece by which the loop can be manually released by short pulling.
