(Main claim) Display device for a vehicle (1), in particular for a diplomatic vehicle, a state carriage or an official service vehicle, comprising: - an electronic surface display (10) designed for the digital display of sovereign symbols and information content, - a holding device (20) for attaching the surface display (10) in the exterior of the vehicle (1) at a position provided for a vehicle standard, - a control unit (30) for interchangeable digital control of the surface display (10), characterized in that the surface display (10) is weatherproof with a protection class of at least IP65.
