Abstract

An external extension device for a humanoid robot, suitable for a humanoid robot capable of performing a regular first operating mode, the external extension device comprising: a base body detachably attachable to the torso of the humanoid robot; a computing unit, a data and power transmission interface, an environment sensing extension module, a power extension system, and a database for the second operating mode, each arranged in the base body, wherein the data and power transmission interface, the environment sensing extension module, the power extension system, and the database for the second operating mode are electrically connected to the computing unit; and several environmental sensors arranged on the base body and electrically connected to the environment sensing extension module;wherein the base body is located on the torso of the humanoid robot and a data and power connection is established between the data and power transmission interface and the humanoid robot, so that the humanoid robot can read the information about the second operating mode stored in the database for the second operating mode, the power supplied by the power extension system, and the environmental information received by the environment sensing extension module, so that the humanoid robot executes the second operating mode.
