Description

Technical area

[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of electronic candles, in particular to the use of a modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle, the modified paraffin wax as such, a process for producing the paraffin wax, and an electronic candle comprising the modified paraffin wax. State of the art

[0002] Electronic candles are safe, environmentally friendly, energy-saving, and practical, and are becoming increasingly popular with more and more people. There is a trend toward replacing traditional candles with electronic candles. CN10 8570 234 A refers to a wax for electronic candles with improved temperature resistance. The wax is based on paraffin wax, polyethylene wax, and a polarizing agent.

[0003] The paraffin wax used on the exterior of existing electronic candles currently uses a standardized refined paraffin wax, which has a temperature resistance range of -5~60°C and lower strength. When used in higher temperatures, it will melt, making it unusable. When used in lower temperatures, the paraffin wax will become hard and brittle, causing problems such as cracking or deformation when pressed or subjected to shock. The invention

[0004] The present invention aims to overcome the deficiencies of the prior art and to provide a modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle and a corresponding electronic candle, with which the temperature resistance range is increased and the strength is improved, thus expanding the range of applications.

[0005] In order to achieve the above object, the present invention uses the following technical solution: a modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle comprising a prepared wax, a refined Fischer-Tropsch wax, hard wax consisting of a paraffin content of > 96% and a polyethylene content of < 4% (K512), and a polyethylene wax as an additive, the respective compositions having a percentage content as follows: the prepared wax 40-50%, the refined Fischer-Tropsch wax 35~45%, K512 8~12% and the additive 4~6%.

[0006] Preferably, the paraffin wax comprises a microcrystalline wax having a percentage content of 2~5%.

[0007] Preferably, the prepared wax has the model number of TUDACOAT 1001 (modulated wax), which has a trophic melting temperature of just under 100°C and a needle penetration strength value of 11 mm 10 at 25°C according to ASTM D 1321 (2004-01).

[0008] A method for producing the modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle comprises the following steps: a. Heating and melting the prepared wax, refined Fischer-Tropsch wax, and polyethylene wax separately, followed by mixing and stirring to form a mixed wax; b. Adding the hard wax to the mixed wax, followed by stirring to form a modified paraffin wax; c. Pouring the modified paraffin wax into a mold for the electronic candle; d. Cooling at a temperature of 5~35°C; e. Demolding to form the electronic candle.

[0009] Compared to the prior art, the modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle according to the present invention has the following advantages: The prepared wax and refined Fischer-Tropsch wax are used as raw materials. This ensures a melting point of 120°C. At the same time, the hard wax is added to increase the strength. The addition of the polyethylene wax improves the low-temperature performance of the paraffin wax thanks to its cold resistance. With these compositions, a temperature resistance range of -30–120°C can be achieved for the paraffin wax. Examples of the modified paraffin wax

[0010] In connection with the content of the present invention, the technical solutions in the embodiments of the modified paraffin wax are explained clearly and completely below.

[0011] A modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle according to the present invention comprises a prepared wax, a refined Fischer-Tropsch wax, a hard wax, and an additive, the respective compositions having a percentage content as follows: the prepared wax 40~50%, the refined Fischer-Tropsch wax 35~45%, hard wax 8~12%, and the additive 4~6%.

[0012] For the prepared wax, a prepared wax (English: "Blending Wax") from Hansen&Rosenthal with the model number of TUDACOAT 1001 is preferably used, which has a high melting point of almost 100°C and good stability with a needle penetration strength value of 11 mm 10 at 25°C according to ASTM D 1321 (2004-01); the refined Fischer-Tropsch wax is manufactured by Sentaiyuan Company; and K512 as hard wax is manufactured by PLOYETHYLENE Company of Korea, which effectively improves the strength of the paraffin wax; the additive is a polyethylene wax.

[0013] In order to increase the strength value at low temperature, a small amount of microcrystalline wax can be further added during use, which has a percentage content of 2~5%.

[0014] A method for producing the modified paraffin wax for an electronic candle according to the present invention comprises the following steps: a. Heating and melting the prepared wax, the refined Fischer-Tropsch wax, and the polyethylene wax separately, followed by mixing and stirring to form a mixed wax; b. Adding the hard wax to the mixed wax, followed by stirring to form a modified paraffin wax; c. Pouring the modified paraffin wax into a mold for the electronic candle; d. Cooling at a temperature of 5~35°C; e. Demolding, thus forming the electronic candle.
