Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a connecting arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Such a connection arrangement is known from DE 20 2017 101 274 U1.

[0003] The problem with connection arrangements for the passage of aqueous media is that at low temperatures, the aqueous medium freezes, expanding in volume. Examples of such aqueous media include aqueous urea solutions, which are known to be used in so-called SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) processes in motor vehicles to reduce the nitrogen content of exhaust gases. Due to the volume expansion caused by freezing and the associated ice pressure, the distributors and / or fluid lines can be damaged or even completely destroyed. It is generally known to heat such connectors and / or the connected fluid lines. Nevertheless, an additional remedy is desired if the solutions freeze.

[0004] In the above-known connecting arrangements, the holding means is supported via a spring element on a fixing element arranged in the housing, which is designed as a transverse wall in one leg of the housing, wherein the holding means can be displaced in the direction of the fixing element against the restoring force of the spring element. In this known connecting arrangement, assembly and manufacture are relatively complex, since the various spring elements must be placed onto the fluid lines together with the fluid lines before the connector body is inserted into the housing and must be held under pretension during insertion of the connector body with the inserted fluid lines so that they can be supported on the fixing element in the assembled state in the housing. In addition, the heating conductors of the fluid lines must each be guided through a central opening through the fixing element and along the spring element. In addition, both the fluid lines with the retaining element relative to the connector body and the connector body relative to the housing are movable within the housing between the fixing elements and the spring elements, respectively. This can cause unwanted vibrations in the connection arrangement.

[0005] The invention is based on the object of providing a connection arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset in which the problems and disadvantages described above can be effectively avoided and which is designed in such a way that it can withstand, without additional compensation means, an ice pressure arising when a liquid to be passed through freezes in a non-destructive manner.

[0006] The object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1. The invention is based on the fact that the ice pressure generated in the inner channels is so low that destruction of the connecting part is avoided. For SCR fluids, the volume expansion upon freezing is approximately 10%, from which the respective ice pressure can be calculated depending on the dimensions of the inner channels.

[0007] According to the invention, the connecting elements are cylindrical sleeves into which individual lines are inserted, with the inner channels of the connecting part extending to the transitions from the connecting part to the cylindrical sleeves. Accordingly, the first alternative of the invention is that the total length of the inner channels of the connecting part divided by the inner diameter of the channel line of the connecting part of the distributor is less than or equal to 9 according to the following formula: Gesamtlänge der Innenkanäle Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser ≤ 9

[0008] According to a further alternative, the invention provides that one connecting element is a cylindrical sleeve into which a single line is inserted, and two connecting elements are plug-in connectors, each of which is inserted into the plug-in sleeves (28) of the other two single lines (6), with the inner channels of the connecting part extending to the connection-side end of the plug-in connectors and ending at the transition from the connecting part to the cylindrical sleeve. According to the invention, in this second alternative, the total length of the inner channels of the connecting part is designed according to the following dimensions: Gesamtlänge der Innenkanäle Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser ≤ 23

[0009] It is furthermore according to the invention if the connecting part of the distributor has a duct line inner diameter which is smaller than or equal to a minimum connection line inner diameter of a connected individual line.

[0010] In particular, it is advantageous if the plug-in connections of the distributor have sealing areas, and sealing means, in particular O-rings, are arranged circumferentially in the sealing areas, which have a sealing outer diameter. Preferably, the diameter ratio at a connection point between the plug-in connection and an individual line is designed according to the following formula: Dichtmittelau ß endurchmesser Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser ≤ 6

[0011] In particular, the plug connections of the distributor have a wall thickness which corresponds all the way around to at least the smallest inner diameter of the sewer line.

[0012] Accordingly, an advantageous design, for example, exists when the connecting pipe's inner diameter is 2 mm with a wall thickness of 1 mm, and the sewer pipe's inner diameter of the connecting piece is 1.5 mm. This creates a favorable ratio between wall thickness and sewer pipe's inner diameter, which serves to protect the pipe from freezing.

[0013] Additionally, the push-in sleeves can include a baffle that's adapted to the reduced inner diameter of the sewer line. Advantageously, the baffle acts as a flow brake, preventing a developing ice column from pushing against the front face of the distributor and thus forcing the connection apart, even with a larger inner diameter.

[0014] Advantageously, the media-carrying pipe is made of unfilled PA and can therefore easily absorb ice pressure. Since the connecting part according to the invention has only a small internal volume and a relatively large wall thickness, the connecting assembly is protected from damage caused by ice pressure.

[0015] Advantageously, the distributor and / or the insert sleeves can be electrically heated. For this purpose, the distributor can be wound circumferentially with at least one heating wire. The insert sleeves can be provided with at least one heating wire on at least one side. In this case, the media-carrying pipes are also electrically heated, and a heating wire applied to the media-carrying pipe is continued, in particular, on the distributor and / or the insert sleeves.

[0016] It is advantageous if the distributor and the push-in sleeves have integrated guides and holders for the respective heating strands. Since the heating strands are located in the connection area of the push-in sleeves, uniform heating of the distributor / push-in sleeve and plug-in connection / push-in sleeve combination can be achieved. It is also advantageous if the housing has pocket-like recesses to accommodate the distributor and its associated guides and holders.

[0017] Preferably, the manifold and the push-in sleeve also include means for mutual anti-twist protection, which protrude beyond the push-in sleeves in the form of tabs and engage in corresponding grooves on the manifold. The tabs for the anti-twist protection on the two push-in sleeves are preferably offset by an angle, e.g., 90°, on the outer wall of the push-in sleeves. This ensures that the push-in sleeves and their connected cables can only be mounted on the plug-in connections assigned to them (poka-yoke). In the event of incorrect assembly, the housing can no longer be fully closed because the retaining means for the heating strands are located in housing areas that are unsuitable for accommodating them.

[0018] In particular, the electrical heating strands are connected to one another within the housing by electrical plug-in connections, separate from the fluid-carrying connections. For this purpose, the housing contains receiving chambers that accommodate the electrical plug-in connectors. These receiving chambers preferably contain fastening means that secure the electrical plug-in connections.

[0019] Preferably, the housing consists of an upper housing half and a lower housing half, wherein the housing halves are detachably and reconnectably connected via locking means.

[0020] Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are contained in the subclaims.

[0021] The invention is explained in more detail in the following description of the figures.

[0022] They show: Fig. 1 is a plan view of a connection arrangement according to the invention with the housing open, Fig. 2 is an exploded view of a connection arrangement according to the invention in the unconnected state of the distributor arrangement, Fig. 3 is a plan view of the connection arrangement according to the invention in the unconnected state without the housing, Fig. 4 is an exploded view of a connection arrangement according to the invention according to Fig. 2 without electrical and media-carrying lines, Fig. 5a a plan view of a distributor according to the invention in the unconnected state with the associated connection means, Fig. 5a a sectional view along the line AA of the distributor according to the invention according to Fig. 5 , Fig. 5b a sectional view along the line BB of the distributor according to the invention according to Fig. 5 , Fig. 5c a sectional view along the line CC of the distributor according to the invention according to Fig. 5a . Fig. 6a view of the insertion direction according to Fig. 4facing side of a distributor according to the invention in the unconnected state with the associated connection means, and Fig. 7 a plan view of a lower housing half of a two-part housing according to the invention.

[0023] In the various figures of the drawing, identical parts are always provided with the same reference symbols.

[0024] In the following, the distributor 2 according to the invention is shown in the Fig. 1 to 7 T-shaped. It is also within the scope of the invention if the distributor is designed, for example, Y-shaped.

[0025] Figure 1 shows a connection arrangement 1 according to the invention, in particular for carrying out aqueous urea solutions. As in the Fig. 1 to 6As can be seen, the connection arrangement 1 according to the invention comprises a distributor 2 with three connection elements 4, 18, 20 and a connecting part 3 located between the connection elements 4, 18, 20. A media-carrying individual line 6 is connected to each of the three connection elements 4, 18, 20. The three individual lines 6 have connection means 8, 28 at their ends for this purpose. The connection means 8, 28 are detached from the individual lines 6 in Fig. 4 Accordingly, the individual lines 6 are connected by means of the connecting means 8, 28 to the connecting elements 4, 18, 20 of the distributor 2, as shown in Fig. 1 shown. A housing 10 encloses the distributor 2 and a part of the individual lines 6 in their connection area. The housing 10 consists in particular of two housing halves 10a, 10b, see Fig. 2, and the distributor 2 is inserted with the connected media-carrying individual lines 6 into one of the housing halves 10b in the open state of the housing 10.

[0026] The Fig. 5 to 6 show the distributor 2 according to the invention and the connecting elements 4, 18, 20 according to the invention as well as the connecting means 8, 28 according to the invention, wherein the connecting elements 4, 18, 20 and the connecting means 8, 28 are not connected to the individual lines 6 in these figures. In particular, the sectional views according to Fig. 5a to 5c show the connecting part 3 according to the invention. Fig. 5b and 5cshow inner channels 5 of the distributor 2, a channel inner diameter d of the inner channels 5, a total length I g of the inner channels 5 and a wall thickness t of the connecting part 3. The channel inner diameter d of the inner channels 5, the total length I g of the inner channels 5 and the wall thickness t of the connecting part 3 are dimensioned such that an ice pressure arising when a liquid in the distributor 2 freezes does not cause destruction of the distributor 2. In particular, the total length I g of the inner channels 5 of the connecting part 3 is determined from the sum of the individual branched channel sections I n , as in Fig. 5c represented, determined.

[0027] As in the Fig. 5 to 5cAs shown, one connection element 4 is in particular a cylindrical sleeve 18 into which an individual line 6 is inserted, and the two other connection elements 4 are plug-in connections 20 which are / are inserted into plug-in sleeves 28, said plug-in sleeves 28 being fastened to the media-carrying individual lines 6.

[0028] For example, in Fig. 5c As shown, the plug-in sleeves 28 have a sleeve-like insertion section 60 on the side facing away from the plug connection 20 for inserting the individual lines 6. The cylindrical sleeve 18 of the distributor 2 has such an insertion section 60, as in Fig. 5c shown, too.

[0029] Advantageously, the individual lines 6 are introduced in particular into the inlet sections 60 and connected to the inlet section 60. In particular, an individual line 6 is integrally connected to the cylindrical sleeve 18 of the distributor 2 and / or the plug-in sleeves 28 are integrally connected to the individual lines 6.

[0030] Preferably, a single line 6 is connected to the cylindrical sleeve 18 and / or the single lines 6 are connected to the plug-in sleeves 28 by laser welding. For this purpose, the cylindrical sleeve 18 and / or the plug-in sleeves 28 of the single lines 6 can be partially made of laser-transparent plastic. The fully assembled state of the connection arrangement 1 is shown in Fig. 1 In particular, the inner channels 5 of the connecting part 3 extend to the connection-side end of the plug-in connections 20 and end at the transition from the connecting part 3 to the cylindrical sleeve 18.

[0031] According to the invention, if the connecting part 3 has a duct line inner diameter d which is smaller than or equal to a minimum connection line inner diameter D, shown in Figure 2 , a connected single line 6.

[0032] According to the invention, the total length I g of the inner channels 5, which is determined from the inner channel sections I n, divided by the channel line inner diameter d of the connecting part 3 of the distributor 2 as a result is less than or equal to 23. This means: Gesamtlänge l g der Innenkanäle 5 Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser d ≤ 23

[0033] According to an alternative embodiment of the invention (not shown), in which the connecting elements 4 of the distributor 2 are exclusively three cylindrical sleeves 18, into each of which an individual line 6 is inserted, the inner channels 5 of the connecting part 3 extend to the transitions from the connecting part 3 to the cylindrical sleeves 18. According to the invention, the total length I g of the inner channels 5 of the connecting part 3 divided by the inner diameter d of the channel line of the connecting part 3 of the distributor 2 in this embodiment is in particular less than or equal to 9 according to the following formula: Gesamtlänge l g der Innenkanäle 5 Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser d ≤ 9

[0034] As in Fig. 5b As shown, the distributor 2 has a wall thickness t. In particular, the wall thickness t of the distributor 2 corresponds at least to the inner diameter d of the sewer line.

[0035] Preferably the plug connections have 20, as shown in the Fig. 5 to 5cSealing areas 22 are shown. The sealing areas 22 each have a circumferential sealing means 24, in particular an O-ring. In particular, the O-rings have an outer sealing diameter dm. The diameter ratio at a connection point between the plug-in sleeve 28 and the plug-in connection 20 is less than or equal to 6 according to the following formula. Dichtmittelau ß endurchmesser d m Kanalleitungsinnendurchmesser d ≤ 6

[0036] In particular, the sealing area 22, as for example in Fig. 5a shown, a sealing groove 26 for the sealing means 24.

[0037] According to an advantageous embodiment, and as in Fig. 5a to 5cAs shown, the plug-in sleeves 28 of the individual lines 6 can contain a cover 16 that reduces the connecting line inner diameter D to the duct line inner diameter d of the connecting part 3 of the distributor 2. Furthermore, such a cover 16 can form a stop for the plug connection 20 of the distributor 2 and a stop for the media-carrying individual line 6.

[0038] According to Fig. 5 to 6 the insertion sleeves 28 preferably have tab-like anti-twist devices 30a and guide webs 30b projecting from an outer wall 36, which fit into corresponding grooves 32a on the distributor 2 and guide grooves 32b on the housing 10, shown in Fig. 7, engage. The tab-like anti-twist devices 30a can be arranged in particular at an angle offset by 90° on the outer wall 36 of the plug-in sleeves 28, wherein the corresponding grooves 32a on the distributor 2 are also arranged offset by 90° and the guide webs 30b on the outer wall 36 and the guide grooves 32b in the housing 10 are always in the direction of a, in Fig. 2 shown, insertion direction M and are axially aligned to a, in Fig. 3 and 7 shown, connection direction A.

[0039] According to a further embodiment, as in Fig. 1 to 3As shown, the distributor 2 is electrically heatable. For this purpose, the distributor 2 is wound circumferentially with a heating strand 38. The insertion sleeves 28 are provided on one side with a heating strand 38. In this case, the media-carrying individual lines 6 are also electrically heated, and a heating strand 38 applied to the media-carrying individual line 6 is continued in particular on the distributor 2 and / or the insertion sleeves 28. As in Fig. 1 As shown, the individual lines 6 are wound with two heating strands 38, in particular guided in parallel.

[0040] Advantageously, the distributor 2 and / or the plug-in sleeves 28 as in Fig. 2 As shown, integrated guides and holders 42 for the heating conductor strands 38. In particular, the housing 10 has pocket-like recesses 58 for receiving the distributor 2 with its associated guides and holders 42.

[0041] Fig. 2 , 4 and 6 to 7show that the housing 10 advantageously has holding means 12a, 12b for the distributor 2 and the connecting means 8, 28, wherein at least a part of the holding means 12a for the connecting means 8, 28 in the housing 10 is designed in particular in a C-shape and fixes the connecting means 8, 28 in a locking manner, and a further part of the holding means 12b for the distributor 2 is a stop tab 12b for the distributor 2, which is aligned in particular at an angle of 45° to the connecting elements 4, 18, 20, against which the distributor 2 rests with a contact tab 12c arranged corresponding to the stop tab 12b of the housing 10. As in Fig. 2 and 4As shown, the C-shaped holding means 12a are opened in particular opposite to the insertion direction M, so that the distributor 2 and the individual lines 6 connected to the distributor 2 can be inserted into the housing 10 in the insertion direction M and the connection means 8, 28 are encompassed by the holding means 12a. Advantageously, the holding means 12a engage behind the insertion sleeves 28 and form a stop for the insertion sleeves 28 opposite to the Fig. 3 marked connection direction A, so that when inserted into the housing 10, as shown in Fig. 1 shown, the individual lines 6 with the plug-in sleeves 28 cannot be detached from the plug-in connections 20 of the distributor 2.
