Description
[0001] The invention relates to an electrical coupling device for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system. Furthermore, the invention relates to an electrical system comprising an electrical installation, a power line device, and an electrical coupling device. Finally, the invention relates to a method for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system.
[0002] From European patent application EP 1 696 517 A1, a device for connecting a cable to an electrical system in the medium or high voltage range is known according to the preamble of claim 1. A plug part is made of an elastic material, preferably silicone rubber, over its entire length.
[0003] Various power transmission devices are known for transmitting highly transformed current. Known power transmission devices, particularly for installation on ceilings, walls, shafts, ducts, or underground, comprise, for example, a flexible current conductor arranged within the interior of a relatively rigid insulating tube. Such power transmission devices are also known as "power transmission conductors" or, for short, "PTCs."
[0004] While the conductor is flexible and can therefore be wound onto a reel, the insulation tube is usually difficult to reversibly deform, making it impractical to wind the insulation tube onto the reel. For this reason, the conductor and insulation tube are usually only joined together to form the power line at the final installation location. The conductor is usually provided coiled on a reel, while the insulation tube is usually produced at the installation site using a specially designed device, often as a continuous tube. During installation, the conductor is unwound from the reel and inserted or pulled into the interior of the insulation tube.
[0005] A major problem when installing such power conduction devices is connecting the power conduction device to an electrical installation, such as a gas-insulated switchgear (GIS), a transformer, or the like. Several factors must be taken into account here. First, an electrical connection must be established between the power conductor and an electrical terminal of the electrical installation. In this case, sufficient control of an electric field of the power conductor must be provided, particularly to prevent damage to the electrical installation. Furthermore, a mechanical connection must be established between the insulation tube and the electrical installation in order to fix the power conduction device to the electrical installation and to seal an installation housing of the electrical installation from the environment of the installation. This is particularly important for gas-insulated switchgear, for example to protect an explosive environment from short-circuit sparks in the switchgear.
[0006] It is therefore an object of the present invention to eliminate, or at least partially eliminate, the disadvantages described above in an electrical system. In particular, it is an object of the present invention to provide an electrical system and a method for coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system, which improve the electrical coupling and / or mechanical coupling of the power line device and the electrical installation in a simple and cost-effective manner.
[0007] The above object is achieved by the patent claims. Accordingly, the object is achieved by an electrical coupling device for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system, having the features of independent claim 1, by an electrical system having the features of independent claim 8, and by a method for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system, having the features of independent claim 9.
[0008] Further features and details of the invention emerge from the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings. Features and details described in connection with the electrical coupling device according to the invention naturally also apply in connection with the electrical system according to the invention and the method according to the invention, and vice versa, so that with regard to the disclosure of the individual aspects of the invention, reference is always made to each other.
[0009] According to a first aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by an electrical coupling device for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system. The electrical coupling device comprises an electrical conductor device with a first electrical conductor section for electrically connecting to an electrical conductor connection section of a power conductor of the power line device and a second electrical conductor section for electrically connecting to an electrical installation connection section of the electrical installation. The electrical conductor device comprises a connecting conductor for electrically coupling the first electrical conductor section to the second electrical conductor section.Furthermore, the electrical coupling device comprises an insulating cone with a central feedthrough, wherein a portion of the electrical conductor device is arranged in the central feedthrough. Furthermore, the electrical coupling device comprises a mechanical connection device with a first mechanical connection section for mechanically connecting to a pipe connection section of an insulating pipe of the power line device and a second mechanical connection section for mechanically connecting to a housing connection section of a system housing of the electrical system.
[0010] To conduct the electrical current between the power line device and the electrical system, the electrical coupling device comprises the electrical conductor device. The electrical conductor device comprises the connecting conductor. The connecting conductor is preferably rod-shaped and preferably has a round or oval cross-section. According to the invention, the connecting conductor can have a rectangular, in particular square, cross-section. The connecting conductor preferably comprises a material with particularly good electrical conductivity, such as copper, aluminum, or the like, or is formed from such a material.
[0011] The first electrical conductor section is arranged at a first end region of the connecting conductor. The first electrical conductor section can, for example, be formed integrally with the connecting conductor or held on the connecting conductor as an additional component of the electrical conductor device. Preferably, the first electrical conductor section is held on the connecting conductor by means of a press connection, clamp connection, screw connection and / or welded connection. Preferably, a section of the first end region of the connecting conductor is inserted into a central connecting conductor receptacle of the first electrical conductor section. According to the invention, it can be provided that the first electrical conductor section is arranged or held rotatably on the connecting conductor.
[0012] The first electrical conductor section is designed for electrical connection to the electrical conductor connection section of the current conductor of the power conduction device. For this purpose, the first electrical conductor section can be designed, for example, according to a union nut with an internal thread, a ferrule, a screw terminal for clamping the electrical conductor connection section, or the like. Preferably, the first electrical conductor section comprises a particularly highly conductive material, such as copper, aluminum, or the like, or is formed from such a material. Thus, a mechanical and electrical coupling between the electrical conductor device and the current conductor can be easily established.
[0013] The second electrical conductor section is arranged at a second end region of the connecting conductor. The second electrical conductor section can, for example, be formed integrally with the connecting conductor or be held on the connecting conductor as an additional component of the electrical conductor device. Preferably, the second electrical conductor section is held on the connecting conductor by means of a press connection, clamp connection, screw connection, and / or welded connection. Preferably, a section of the second end region of the connecting conductor is inserted into a central connecting conductor receptacle of the second electrical conductor section.
[0014] The second electrical conductor section is designed for electrical connection to the electrical system connection section of the electrical system. For this purpose, the second electrical conductor section can be designed, for example, according to a union nut with an internal thread, a crimp sleeve, a screw terminal for clamping the electrical system connection section, or the like. Preferably, the second electrical conductor section comprises a particularly highly conductive material, such as copper, aluminum, or the like, or is formed from such a material. Thus, a mechanical and electrical coupling between the electrical conductor device and an electrical system of the electrical system can be easily established.
[0015] The electrical conductor device is at least partially arranged in the central passage of the insulating cone. According to the invention, it can be provided that the second electrical conductor section is arranged entirely within the central recess. In this case, it is preferred according to the invention that the second electrical conductor section is spaced from an adjacent opening in the central passage. Thus, the second electrical conductor section is shielded by the insulating cone, in particular radially outward. The diameter of the insulating cone increases from the region of the second electrical conductor section towards the first electrical conductor section. The insulating cone preferably comprises an electrically non-conductive material, such as a thermoplastic, in particular PP or PE.
[0016] The first mechanical connecting section of the mechanical connection device is designed for mechanical connection to the pipe connecting section of the insulating tube of the power line device. Such a connection allows the electrical coupling device to be fixed to the power line device. Furthermore, this connection preferably seals off the central passage of the insulating cone from the environment. The first mechanical connecting section is preferably annular. In this way, the first mechanical connecting section can be particularly advantageously connected to an annular pipe connecting section. Alternatively, the first mechanical connecting section and the pipe connecting section can have complementary wedge-shaped cross-sections. This has the advantage of increasing the connection surface between the electrical coupling device and the power line device.
[0017] Within the scope of the invention, a mechanical connection is understood to mean, in particular, a material-to-material and / or form-fitting and / or friction-locking connection. Butt welding, in particular mirror butt welding, is a mechanical connection within the scope of the invention. According to the invention, it is preferred that the mechanical connection be fluid-tight, preferably at least watertight.
[0018] The second mechanical connecting section of the mechanical connection device is designed for mechanical connection to the housing connection section of the system housing of the electrical system. Such a connection allows the electrical coupling device to be fixed to the electrical system. Furthermore, this connection preferably seals off an interior space of the system housing from the environment. The second mechanical connecting section is preferably annular. In this way, the second mechanical connecting section can be particularly advantageously connected to an annular housing connection section.
[0019] An electrical coupling device according to the invention has the advantage over known types of connections between power line devices and electrical systems that a mechanical and electrical coupling between the power line device and the electrical system can be established using simple means and in a cost-effective manner. The number of manual steps required to connect these components is significantly reduced compared to conventional applications. This significantly reduces assembly effort and time, and thus assembly costs. Furthermore, the electrical coupling device according to the invention has the advantage that disassembly of the power line device from the electrical system is made much easier.
[0020] According to a preferred further development of the invention, an electrical coupling device can be provided with a thread for screwing together with a mating thread of the electrical conductor connecting section. The thread is preferably designed as an internal thread, and the mating thread is therefore preferably designed as an external thread. According to the invention, the first electrical conductor section can be designed as a separate component, in particular as a union nut. In this case, it is preferred that the first electrical conductor section has two opposing threads and the connecting conductor has an external thread.By turning the union nut in a first direction, the connecting conductor and the current conductor can be moved toward each other, and by turning the union nut in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the connecting conductor and the current conductor can be moved away from each other. Alternatively, the first electrical conductor section can be designed as a compression sleeve, screw terminal, or the like for clamping the current conductor. This has the advantage that a connection between the electrical conductor device and the current conduction device can be established using simple means and in a cost-effective manner.
[0021] According to the invention, it is preferred that the second electrical conductor section has a form-fitting section for positively mating with a mating form-fitting section of the electrical system connection section. The form-fitting section preferably has at least one bevel, chamfer, or the like to improve the joining of the form-fitting section and the mating form-fitting section. This has the advantage of improving the electrical connection of the electrical conductor device to the electrical system of the electrical system using simple means and in a cost-effective manner.
[0022] More preferably, the connecting conductor is held on the insulating cone via a holding device. The holding device is preferably annular or polygonal, in particular octagonal. Alternatively or additionally, the holding device can, according to the invention, comprise holding blocks for holding the connecting conductor. The holding device is preferably designed to support the connecting conductor radially against an inner wall of the central passage of the insulating cone. Alternatively or additionally, the holding device is preferably designed to hold the connecting conductor on the insulating cone against axial displacement in at least one direction, preferably in two opposite directions. This has the advantage that the electrical conductor device can be fastened to the insulating cone using simple means and in a cost-effective manner.
[0023] In a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, an electrical coupling device can be provided with the second electrical conductor section closing the central feedthrough. This closure is preferably watertight. This closure is preferably fluid-tight. This means that fluid exchange between an interior of the electrical system and the central feedthrough of the insulating cone, and thus also between the interior of the system and a pipe interior of the insulating pipe, is prevented. This has the advantage of ensuring sealing of the interior of the system using simple means and in a cost-effective manner. This is particularly advantageous in potentially explosive environments.
[0024] The first mechanical connecting section is designed for welding to the pipe connecting section. The first mechanical connecting section therefore comprises or is formed from a weldable material. The material of the first mechanical connecting section preferably corresponds to a material of the pipe connecting section. The material is a thermoplastic. A particularly preferred material is PP or PE. The first mechanical connecting section is preferably designed for connection to the pipe connecting section using a butt welding process. For this purpose, the first mechanical connecting section preferably has an annular and plate-shaped end face as a connecting surface for connection to a corresponding end face of the pipe connecting section.Preferably, a fluid-tight welded connection can be created, preventing fluid exchange between the interior of the pipe and the external environment of the electrical coupling device. This has the advantage of improving the mechanical connection of the electrical coupling device to the insulation pipe using simple means and in a cost-effective manner.
[0025] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the first mechanical connecting portion is formed integrally with the insulating cone. Thus, an extension is formed on the insulating cone, on which the first mechanical connecting portion is formed. The insulating cone and the first mechanical connecting portion can thus be manufactured together in a single process. This has the advantage of reducing the complexity of manufacturing the electrical coupling device using simple means and in a cost-effective manner. Furthermore, the stability of the electrical coupling device can be improved.
[0026] Particularly preferably, the second mechanical connecting section is designed for flange-mounting on a housing flange of the housing connection section. For this purpose, the second mechanical connecting section preferably has an angled portion that can be brought into contact with the housing flange and fixed thereto. For fixing purposes, a plurality of bores can be provided in the second mechanical connecting section and the housing flange, which bores can be arranged in pairs in alignment with one another and into which screws, bolts, rings, or the like can be passed. The second mechanical connecting section preferably rests on one side, in particular an oblique side, of the insulating cone. This has the advantage that the electrical coupling device can be mechanically connected to the electrical system using simple means and in a cost-effective manner.
[0027] According to a second aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by an electrical system. The electrical system comprises an electrical installation with an electrical installation connection section and an installation housing with a housing connection section. Furthermore, the electrical system comprises a power line device with a current conductor having an electrical conductor connection section and an insulating tube having a tube connection section, a tube longitudinal axis, and a tube interior. The current conductor is arranged in the tube interior.Furthermore, the electrical system comprises an electrical coupling device according to the invention, wherein the first electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device of the electrical coupling device is electrically connected to the electrical conductor connection section, and wherein the first mechanical connection section of the electrical coupling device is mechanically connected to the pipe connection section.
[0028] The second electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device of the electrical coupling device is preferably joined to the electrical system connection section, for example, plugged together, and thus electrically, preferably also mechanically, connected thereto. The second mechanical connection section of the electrical coupling device is preferably mechanically connected to the housing connection section. The insulating cone preferably extends at least partially, preferably predominantly, into the system housing.
[0029] The electrical system according to the invention offers all the advantages already described for an electrical coupling device according to the first aspect of the invention. Accordingly, the electrical system according to the invention has the advantage over conventional electrical systems that a mechanical and electrical coupling between the power conduction device and the electrical installation can be established using simple means and in a cost-effective manner. The number of manual work steps for connecting these components is considerably reduced compared to conventional applications. This significantly reduces assembly effort and assembly time, and thus assembly costs. Furthermore, the electrical system according to the invention has the advantage that disassembly of the power conduction device from the electrical installation is considerably easier.
[0030] According to a third aspect of the invention, the object is achieved by a method for electrically and mechanically coupling a power line device of an electrical system to an electrical installation of the electrical system. The method comprises the following steps: Providing a power line device with a power conductor having an electrical conductor connection section and an insulating tube having a pipe connection section, a pipe longitudinal axis and a pipe interior, wherein the power conductor is arranged in the pipe interior, providing an electrical coupling device according to the invention, bringing together and electrically connecting the first electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device of the electrical coupling device to the electrical conductor connection section, bringing together and mechanically connecting the first mechanical connection section of the mechanical connection device of the electrical coupling device to the pipe connection section,Bringing together and electrically connecting the second electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device to an electrical system connection section of the electrical system arranged in a system housing of the electrical system, and mechanically connecting the second mechanical connection section of the mechanical connection device to a housing connection section of the system housing.
[0031] According to the invention, when providing the power conduction device, a current conductor wound on a reel and a separate insulation tube are initially provided. The current conductor is drawn into the insulation tube. Alternatively, the current conductor can be inserted into the insulation tube during its manufacture.
[0032] The first electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device of the electrical coupling device is brought together with the electrical conductor connection section of the current conductor and electrically connected. The electrical connection is preferably established by direct contact between these components. Preferably, a mechanical connection is also established between the electrical conductor device and the electrical conductor connection section. According to the invention, this can be achieved, for example, with a current conductor arranged in the insulation tube or outside the insulation tube, preferably coiled. The electrical and mechanical connection can be achieved, for example, by plugging, screwing, clamping, crimping, welding, or the like.
[0033] Subsequently, the first mechanical connecting section of the mechanical connection device of the electrical coupling device is brought together with the pipe connecting section of the insulation pipe and mechanically connected to each other. The mechanical connection is preferably achieved by welding, gluing, or the like.
[0034] The second electrical conductor section of the electrical conductor device is brought together with the electrical system connection section of the electrical system and electrically connected. The electrical connection is preferably established by direct contact between these components. Preferably, a mechanical connection is also established between the electrical conductor device and the electrical system connection section. According to the invention, this is preferably carried out when the electrical coupling device is already electrically and mechanically connected to the power conduction device. The electrical and mechanical connection can be carried out, for example, by screwing, plugging, clamping, crimping, welding or the like. In this case, the insulating cone of the electrical coupling device is at least partially introduced into the interior space of the electrical system.
[0035] Finally, the electrical coupling device is mechanically connected to the system housing of the electrical system. This is achieved by mechanically connecting the second mechanical connection section of the mechanical connection device to the housing connection section of the system housing. The mechanical connection is preferably watertight and particularly preferably fluid-tight.
[0036] The method according to the invention results in all the advantages that have already been described for an electrical coupling device according to the first aspect of the invention and for an electrical system according to the second aspect of the invention.
