[0006] In contrast, the invention is based on the object of creating a seating furniture chassis with a side part that can be easily attached to the base body
[0007] This object is achieved by a seating furniture chassis according to claim 1. Embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.
[0008] The seating furniture chassis comprises a base body, fastening means, and a side part. In the context of this description, a base body is understood in particular to mean a structure that includes a seat frame and one or more feet with which the seating furniture chassis can be placed on a floor surface. It is also possible for the base body to include a backrest attached to the seat frame. The seat frame can surround a seat. Once the seat has been upholstered, a user can sit on the upholstery.
[0009] The fastening elements are arranged on the base body. For example, they can be located in a lateral edge area of the base body.
[0010] The side panel can be removably attached to the fastening elements. In this description, a removably attached element is understood to mean that the side panel can be attached to the fastening elements without tools and can also be removed from the fastening elements without tools. It is important to ensure that neither the side panel nor the fastening elements are damaged during both the attachment and removal process.
[0011] For the purposes of this description, a side part is understood to mean a part that is attached to the side of the base body. This refers in particular to the sides that extend approximately perpendicular to the front and back of the base body. The front side can be the side to which a user's legs extend beyond the base body during intended use of the seating furniture chassis. The back side can be the side on which a backrest is located on the seating furniture chassis.
[0012] The fastening means comprise a spring element and a fastening element. The spring element exerts a force on the fastening element. When the side part is fastened to the fastening means, the fastening element is moved against the spring force. In the context of this description, fastening refers in particular to the process of attaching the side part to the base body. In this way, the side part can be fastened to the fastening means by utilizing the spring force and released again by overcoming the spring force.
[0013] The removable side panel has the particular advantage that the base can be transported separately from the side panel. This eliminates the need to transport two separate, less bulky items, rather than a single, large, bulky item. It's also advantageous that users can attach the side panel to the fasteners at home, allowing them to select a side panel that best suits their needs and not be restricted to a specific side panel already attached to the base. Replacing the side panel is also simplified.
[0014] Furthermore, handling the seating frame during production is simplified. Due to occupational health and safety regulations, it may be unacceptable for a single worker to carry both the base frame and the side frame simultaneously. Since the side frame and base frame can each be carried separately, a single worker can transport the entire seating frame without the need for additional equipment.
[0015] The side panel includes a receiving area. When the side panel is attached to the fasteners, the fastening element is arranged in the receiving area and is held in place by spring force.
[0016] The receiving area is designed to exert a clamping force on the fastening element when the side panel is attached to the fastening means. This ensures a particularly secure attachment and ensures that there is no play between the fastening element and the receiving area.
[0017] The fastening means comprise a support element. The side panel comprises a support area. The support area is designed to rest on the support element when the side panel is attached to the fastening means. This can mean, in particular, that the support area rests on the support element during the pivoting movement of the side panel. This makes it particularly easy for the user to perform the pivoting movement correctly. The support element and the support area serve as a positioning aid.
[0018] The fastening means comprise a first positive-locking element, and the side part comprises a second positive-locking element. The first positive-locking element and the second positive-locking element are designed for a positive connection with one another. The positive connection limits or prevents vertical movement of the side part relative to the fastening means. This allows the side part to be securely attached to the fastening means.
[0019] According to one embodiment of the invention, the side part can comprise an armrest. In this context, an armrest is understood to mean, in particular, a component that is designed to be padded and, when padded, to serve as an armrest for a user sitting on the seating furniture chassis.
[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, the side panel can be designed to be attached to the fastening means with a pivoting movement. This is a particularly simple method of attachment that can also be carried out intuitively by a user, without tools, and without great effort.
[0021] According to one embodiment of the invention, the side part can have a sliding surface. The fastening element can be designed to slide along the sliding surface when the side part is attached to the fastening means.
[0022] According to one embodiment of the invention, the sliding surface can be designed to trigger the movement of the fastening means against the spring force when attaching the side panel to the fastening means. For example, this movement can occur automatically during the pivoting movement. This makes attaching the side panel to the fastening means particularly easy.
[0023] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support area can have a shape adapted to the external shape of the support element. For example, the support area can have a curve whose radius approximately corresponds to the radius of a curve of the support element. This further simplifies the execution of the pivoting movement.
[0024] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support element can define a pivot axis for the pivoting movement. In this description, the pivot axis is understood to mean, in particular, a geometric axis that does not necessarily have to be present as a component.
[0025] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support element can be rod-shaped. The term "rod-shaped" in this description refers in particular to an elongated configuration in which the length of the support element exceeds its width and height by several times. For example, the length can be more than 10 times the width and height.
[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, the support element can have a round cross-sectional shape. This round cross-sectional shape is particularly advantageous for smoothly performing the pivoting movement of the side part.
[0027] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening element can be rod-shaped.
[0028] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening element can have a round cross-sectional shape.
[0029] According to one embodiment of the invention, the fastening means may comprise a guide element. The guide element may be designed to guide the fastening element during movement against the spring force.
[0030] According to one embodiment of the invention, the guide element can be designed to hold the fastening element in a first position against the spring force. The fastening element can be designed to be moved from the first position to a second position during movement against the spring force.
[0031] For example, the guide element can have an elongated hole in which the fastening element is guided.
[0032] According to one embodiment of the invention, the side part can be fastened to the fastening means without tools and can be detachable from the fastening means without tools.
[0033] In the method according to claim 11, a side part of a seating furniture chassis according to one embodiment of the invention is attached to the fastening means of this seating furniture chassis. First, the support area of the side part is placed on the support element of the fastening means. Subsequently, the pivoting movement is performed about the pivot axis defined by the support element. During the pivoting movement, the fastening element is moved against the spring force.
[0034] The fastening element is then inserted into the receiving area by the spring force and clamped in the receiving area.
[0035] Further features and advantages of the present invention will become clear from the following description of preferred embodiments with reference to the accompanying drawings. The same reference numerals are used for identical or similar components and for components with identical or similar functions. In the drawings: Fig. 1 shows schematic sectional views of the process of fastening a side part to fastening means in a seating furniture chassis according to an embodiment of the invention; Fig. 2 shows a schematic perspective view of fastening means of a seating furniture chassis according to an embodiment of the invention; Fig. 3 shows a schematic plan view of the fastening means from Fig. 2 ; Fig. 4 is a schematic plan view of a seating furniture chassis according to an embodiment of the invention; and Fig. 5 is a schematic perspective view of the seating furniture chassis from Fig. 4 .
[0036] In the Figures 1A to 1Donly a section of the side part 100 is shown. This is the section with which the side part 100 is attached to the fastening means 101. In Figure 1E is a with D in Figure 1D marked section shown enlarged.
[0037] The fastening means 101 comprise a fastening element 102, a guide element 103, a spring element 104 and a support element 105. The side part 100 has a support area 106, a receiving area 107, a sliding surface 108 and a clamping means 109. The spring element 104 exerts a spring force on the fastening element 102, so that the fastening element 102 in the Figure 1A shown first position is held.
[0038] To attach the side part 100 to the fastening means 101, the support area 106 is first placed onto the support element 105. To facilitate assembly for the user, the support element 105 and the support area 106 can be designed in the same color. This makes it easy for the user to understand that these two components must be connected to one another. Additionally or alternatively, the support element 105 and the support area 106 can each have a shape marking. This facilitates assembly, particularly for blind people. The shape markings can be identical or correspond to one another, so that it is palpable that the two components belong together. Figure 1BThe support element 105 and the support area are shown in the connected state. The side part 100 is then pivoted about a pivot axis defined by the support element 105. During this pivoting movement, the sliding surface 108 comes into contact with the fastening element 102 and moves it against the spring force. During this movement, the fastening element is guided into a slot in the guide element 103. This state is shown in Figure 1C shown.
[0039] During the pivoting movement, a projection 110 of the side part 100, for example, a bolt or rivet, engages with a recess 109 on the fastening means 101. The projection 110 and the recess 109 form a positive connection in a vertical direction. Thus, vertical movement of the side part 100 relative to the fastening means 101 is limited or prevented.
[0040] In Figure 1DIt shows how the side part 100 is attached to the fastening means 101. The fastening element 102 is again in the first position and is held there by the spring force. Furthermore, the clamping means 109 exerts a clamping force on the fastening element 102 in this position, so that a particularly good fastening is achieved and mechanical play of the fastening element 102 in the first position is reduced.
[0041] From the Figures 4 and 5 It can be seen that the seating furniture chassis has a seat frame 400 on which the fastening means 101 are arranged. The side part 100 is thus attached laterally to the seat frame.
