Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a sanitary fitting with a two-way valve. Such sanitary fittings are used in particular for the on-demand supply of liquid to washbasins, sinks, showers, or bathtubs.

[0002] Sanitary fittings are known, for example from US 5,937,905 A and US 5,184,777 A, with which a liquid can be dispensed with different jet types, for example in the form of rain jets, full jets, massage jets, or pearl jets. Switching between the individual jet types can be achieved using manually operated actuating elements on the sanitary fittings, which can be used, for example, to control valves in the liquid channels of the sanitary fittings, so that the liquid can be fed to a jet generator for the desired jet type. The known valves require a lot of installation space, meaning that they either cannot be integrated into the sanitary fittings or the sanitary fittings have to be particularly large. However, this limits the design freedom of the sanitary fittings and also increases their material requirements. In addition, other sanitary fittings with valves have become known, for example from DE 1 193 752 B and DE 27 25 047 A1.

[0003] The object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to provide a sanitary fitting whose valves have a small installation space requirement.

[0004] This object is achieved with a sanitary fitting according to the features of the independent patent claim. Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent patent claims. Furthermore, the features specified in the patent claims are further specified and explained in the description, with further preferred embodiments of the invention being presented.

[0005] A sanitary fitting that has at least the following components contributes to this: a valve housing, a first jet former, a second jet former, and a two-way valve with which a liquid can be selectively supplied to the first jet former or the second jet former, wherein the two-way valve is arranged in the valve housing and has a valve body which is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation in a valve housing of the two-way valve between a first valve seat of a first outlet of the two-way valve and a second valve seat of a second outlet of the two-way valve.

[0006] The sanitary fitting is used in particular for the demand-based provision of liquids, such as water, to sinks, wash basins, showers and / or bathtubs. For this purpose, cold water at a cold water temperature and hot water at a hot water temperature can be supplied to the sanitary fitting. The cold water and hot water can be mixed by the sanitary fitting, in particular, for example by means of a mixing valve or a (thermostat) mixing cartridge, to form mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature. The cold water temperature is in particular a maximum of 25 °C (Celsius), preferably 1 °C to 25 °C, particularly preferably 5 °C to 20 °C and / or the hot water temperature is in particular a maximum of 90 °C, preferably 25 °C to 90 °C, particularly preferably 55 °C to 65 °C.The mixing valve or the (thermostatic) mixing cartridge can be actuated by a user by means of a first actuating element of the sanitary fitting, for example in the manner of a lever, and / or can be arranged in a fitting housing of the sanitary fitting. The fitting housing is made, in particular, at least partially of plastic and / or (cast) metal, such as brass. The fitting housing can be attached to a support, for example a worktop, sink, washbasin, bathtub, or shower. Furthermore, the fitting housing has a (protruding or branching) outlet that is rigidly or movably connected to the fitting housing. The outlet can be at least partially tubular and / or part of the fitting housing.

[0007] The liquid can be dispensed through the sanitary fitting in a plurality of jet types. For this purpose, the sanitary fitting has at least a first jet former and a second jet former. In particular, the sanitary fitting has only the first jet former and the second jet former, so that the liquid can be dispensed in the first jet type and / or the second jet type. The jet types can be, for example, rain jets, full jets, massage jets and / or pearl jets. In particular, when using the sanitary shower, the liquid can be dispensed either in a single jet type or in two different jet types simultaneously. The sanitary fitting can have one jet former for each jet type. The first jet former and / or the second jet former can have at least one nozzle and / or at least one outlet opening for the liquid, through which at least one spray jet of the liquid specific for the respective jet type can be formed.

[0008] To change the jet type, the sanitary fitting has a two-way valve, by means of which the liquid can be fed selectively to the first jet former and / or the second jet former. The two-way valve is in particular arranged at least partially in the fitting housing and / or the outlet of the fitting housing of the sanitary fitting. Furthermore, the two-way valve in particular has an inlet for the liquid or the mixed water and two outlets. The inlet is in particular fluidly connected to the mixing valve or the (thermostatic) mixing cartridge. The first outlet can be fluidly connected to the first jet former via a first drain line and the second outlet can be fluidly connected to the second jet former via a second drain line. The two-way valve can also be electrically actuated. For this purpose, the sanitary fitting can have a second actuating element, for example in the form of a push button, by means of which the set jet type of the sanitary fitting can be changed. The second actuating element can be connected in a data-conducting manner to a control system of the sanitary fitting, by means of which an actuator of the two-way valve can be controlled. The control system can comprise at least one microprocessor. The two-way valve can be actuated by means of the (electrically operated) actuator. The actuator can comprise at least one electromagnet and / or at least one wire that is at least partially made of a shape memory alloy. Actuators with wires made of a shape memory alloy can be made particularly small, thereby further reducing the installation space required. When the two-way valve is actuated, a valve body of the two-way valve is rotated about a rotation axis in a valve housing of the two-way valve between a first valve seat of the first outlet and a second valve seat of the second outlet. For this purpose, the valve body is rotatably mounted in the valve housing about the rotation axis. The valve body can be rotatable between the first valve seat and the second valve seat, for example with a rotation angle of 10° to 180°, preferably 10° to 90°, particularly preferably 30° to 60° and most preferably 40 to 50°. If the valve body is rotated against the first valve seat, the first outlet is closed. If the valve body is rotated against the second valve seat, the second outlet is closed accordingly. If the valve body is in a rotation position between the first valve seat and the second valve seat, the first outlet and the second outlet are at least partially open. The valve body can be designed like a flap. This allows the two-way valve to be particularly small and integrated into the valve body or the outlet of the valve body.

[0009] The valve body has a first sealing surface for the first valve seat and a second sealing surface for the second valve seat. The first sealing surface is, in particular, the surface of the valve body with which the valve body contacts the first valve seat when the valve body is rotated relative to the first valve seat. Accordingly, the second sealing surface is, in particular, the surface of the valve body with which the valve body contacts the second valve seat when the valve body is rotated relative to the second valve seat.

[0010] The first sealing surface and the second sealing surface can run parallel to the axis of rotation of the valve body.

[0011] The first sealing surface and the second sealing surface form a first angle.

[0012] The first angle can be 10° to 170°. Preferably, the first angle is 30° to 120°, or particularly preferably 30° to 60°.

[0013] The first sealing surface is arranged on a first valve body arm of the valve body, and the second sealing surface is arranged on a second valve body arm of the valve body. The first valve body arm and / or the second valve body arm extend from the rotational axis, in particular at least partially in a radial direction. The first sealing surface is oriented in particular in a first direction of rotation of the valve body, and / or the second sealing surface is oriented in particular in a second direction of rotation of the valve body.

[0014] The first valve body arm and the second valve body arm can span a second angle. The second angle can be in particular 10° to 170°, preferably 30° to 120°, or particularly preferably 30° to 60°.

[0015] The valve body can be V-shaped. The V-shape is formed in particular by the first valve body arm and the second valve body arm. If the valve body is rotated with its first sealing surface against the first valve seat, the valve body can be held against the first valve seat by the V-shape, in particular solely by the fluid pressure of the fluid flowing in via the inlet. If the valve body is rotated with its second sealing surface against the second valve seat, the valve body can be held against the second valve seat by the V-shape, in particular solely by the fluid pressure of the fluid flowing in via the inlet. This can reduce the electrical energy required to actuate the two-way valve.

[0016] The rotation axis can be arranged between the first outlet and the second outlet. In particular, the rotation axis can be arranged between a first outlet channel of the first outlet and a second outlet channel of the second outlet.

[0017] The first outlet and the second outlet can run parallel to each other. In particular, the first outlet channel of the first outlet and the second outlet channel of the second outlet run parallel to each other within the valve housing. This can further reduce the installation space required.

[0018] The invention and the technical environment are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. It should be noted that the figures show a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, but are not limited thereto. Identical components in the figures are provided with the same reference numerals. They show, by way of example and schematically: Fig. 1: a sanitary fitting; Fig. 2: a two-way valve of the sanitary fitting; Fig. 3: the two-way valve in a first operating position in a sectional view; Fig. 4: the two-way valve in a second operating position in the sectional view; Fig. 5: the two-way valve in a third operating position in the sectional view; and Fig. 6: the two-way valve in the first operating position with the actuator shown.

[0019] The Fig. 1shows a sanitary fitting 1. The sanitary fitting 1 comprises a fitting housing 2, the outlet 34 of which has a first jet former 3 and a second jet former 4. A mixing valve 18 is arranged in the fitting housing 2, to which cold water at a cold water temperature can be supplied via a cold water line 19 and hot water at a hot water temperature can be supplied via a hot water line 20. The cold water and the hot water can be mixed by the mixing valve 18 to form mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature. To actuate the mixing valve 18, the sanitary fitting 1 has a first actuating element 21, which here is designed like a lever. The mixed water temperature and a volume flow of the mixed water can be adjusted by means of the actuating element 21. The mixing valve 18 can be fed to a two-way valve 5 via a mixed water channel 22.The mixed water can be fed selectively to the first jet former 3 and / or the second jet former 4 via the two-way valve 5. For this purpose, a first outlet 8 of the two-way valve 5 is connected to the first jet former 3 via a first outlet line 23, and a second outlet 10 is connected to the second jet former 4 via a second outlet line 24. The sanitary fitting 1 has a second actuating element 33 for actuating the two-way valve 5, which is designed here in the manner of a push button. The second actuating element 33 can be connected in a data-conducting manner to a control (not shown here) of a device included in the . Fig. 2 and 6 shown actuator 26.

[0020] The Fig. 2shows the two-way valve 5 in a perspective view. The two-way valve 5 comprises a valve housing 25 with the first outlet 8 and the second outlet 10. A valve body 6 (not visible here) is arranged in the valve housing 25 and is mounted by an actuator 26 for rotation about a rotational axis 11 (also not shown here).

[0021] The Fig. 3shows the two-way valve 5 in a first operating position in a sectional view. The valve body 6 arranged in the valve housing 25 can be seen. The valve body 6 has a first valve body arm 15 with a first sealing surface 12 and a second valve body arm 16 with a second sealing surface 13. The first sealing surface 12 and the second sealing surface 13 span a first angle 14, which in this case is (approximately) 45°. In addition, the first valve body arm 15 and the second valve body arm 16 span a second angle 17, which in this case is also (approximately) 45°. The valve body 6 is therefore V-shaped. In the first operating position shown here, the valve body 6 is rotated about the axis of rotation 11 (clockwise) against a first valve seat 7 of the first outlet 8, so that the first sealing surface 12 closes a first outlet channel 27 of the first outlet 8. The valve housing 25 of the two-way valve 5 has an inlet 29 which is connected to the Fig. 1 shown mixed water channel 22, so that the mixed water can flow into the valve housing 25 via the inlet 29. However, due to the closed first outlet 8, the liquid can only leave the two-way valve 5 via a second outlet channel 28 of the second outlet 10, so that the mixed water in the first operating position of the two-way valve 5 can flow via the inlet 29. Fig. 1 The second outlet line 24 shown can be fed to the second jet former 4. The first outlet 8 and the second outlet 10 are mirror-symmetrical, so that the first outlet channel 1 of the first outlet 8 and the second outlet channel 28 of the second outlet 10 run parallel to one another. The rotation axis 11 is arranged between the first outlet 8 and the second outlet 10 or between the first outlet channel 27 and the second outlet channel 28.

[0022] The Fig. 4shows the two-way valve 5 in a second operating position. In the second operating position, the valve body 6 is in a central position in which the valve body 6 closes neither the first outlet 8 nor the second outlet 10. As a result, the mixed water flowing into the valve housing 25 via the inlet 29 can leave the two-way valve 5 via both the first outlet 8 and the second outlet 10. Thus, the mixed water is discharged via the Fig. 1 shown first drain line 23 and the second drain line 24 are fed to both the first jet former 3 and the second jet former 4.

[0023] The Fig. 5shows the two-way valve 5 in a third operating position. In the third operating position, the valve body 6 has been rotated counterclockwise against a second valve seat 9 of the second outlet 10, so that the second sealing surface 13 closes the second outlet channel 28 of the second outlet 10. As a result, the mixed water flowing into the valve housing 25 via the inlet 29 can only leave the two-way valve 5 via the first outlet 8. Thus, in the third operating position of the two-way valve 5, the mixed water is Fig. 1 shown first drain line 23 can be fed (only) to the first jet former 3.

[0024] The Fig. 6shows the two-way valve 5 in the first operating position in a sectional view with the actuator 26 shown. The valve body 6 has a valve body axis 30, with which the valve body 6 can be rotated about the rotation axis 11. The valve body axis 30 is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a rotary lever 30, which has a link 31. A link block 32 of the actuator 26 engages in the link 31, so that the valve body 6 can be rotated by the actuator 26 between the first valve seat 7 and the second valve seat 9.

[0025] The present invention enables in particular a particularly compact design of a sanitary fitting. List of reference symbols
