Description

[0001] The invention relates to a press membrane according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] Dewatering presses equipped with a press membrane are used in commercial laundries to dewater all types of laundry. The press membrane presses out as much liquid as possible from washed laundry. If necessary, the press can also be used to rinse washed laundry.

[0003] EP 0 310 842 B1 discloses a device with a press membrane. This device has a press ram that can be moved up and down by a hydraulic cylinder. The press ram has a ram plate, beneath which the press membrane is detachably attached. The washed laundry is dewatered in a press basket of the device located beneath the press ram. As the press ram is lowered by the hydraulic cylinder, the press membrane attached beneath it compresses the laundry in the press basket. The press membrane, made of an elastically deformable material, flexibly adapts to the laundry in the press basket. A disadvantage of the known device is the fastening of the press membrane beneath the ram plate of the press ram. This fastening is achieved with a fastening ring, also known as a "mounting ring," to which the press membrane is screwed tightly beneath the ram plate. For this purpose, the mounting ring, in particular, must be precisely positioned by the technicians under the raised stamping plate so that it can be pre-assembled with screws underneath. Due to the large diameters of press membranes, approximately one meter and possibly even more, the mounting rings are very heavy and therefore difficult for the technicians to handle.

[0004] DE 20 2019 002 021 U1 discloses a device for draining laundry, in which the fastening ring is vulcanized into the upper edge of the membrane collar of the press membrane. A disadvantage here is the permanent connection of the fastening ring to the press membrane, which means that when the press membrane is replaced, the fastening ring must also be replaced, even though it is not subject to wear.

[0005] Another device for dewatering laundry using a press membrane is known from DE 10 2014 211 460 A1. Here, an upper edge area of the membrane collar of the press membrane is surrounded by an outer fastening ring, which allows the press membrane to be secured beneath the stamping plate. Due to this outer fastening ring, the upper edge of the membrane collar must have a seal, which allows the press membrane to be sealed against the stamping plate so that the fluid inside the press membrane, which is required for elastic expansion, cannot escape from the press membrane. Such an additional seal is complex and can lead to leaks.

[0006] The invention is based on the object of creating a press membrane which can be easily fastened under a stamping plate of a dewatering press using a separate fastening ring without requiring great effort from the fitters.

[0007] A press membrane for solving this problem has the features of claim 1. This press membrane with a lower membrane base and a membrane collar formed thereover is provided with at least one projection protruding from the inner wall of the membrane collar or has at least one projection on its inner side. The at least one projection serves as a temporary support for the fastening ring. The at least one projection is located below an upper free edge of the membrane collar surrounding a full-surface upper opening in the press membrane. As a result, the fastening ring can be inserted and / or inserted into the membrane collar from above and is then supported at least temporarily on the at least one projection. It is sufficient if the fastening ring is supported on the at least one projection only until the fastening ring is connected, preferably by screws, to the underside of the press punch, in particular its punch plate, because the presence of a support of the fastening ring on the at least one projection of the membrane collar is only necessary until the initial connection of the fastening ring to the punch plate.

[0008] The support remains in place at least until the connection between the fastening ring and the stamping plate is established. This allows the fastening ring to be inserted into the press membrane from above, but only until it is stopped by the at least one support of the membrane collar. Preferably, the fastening ring is held in the upper end or edge area of the membrane collar. Then, after inserting the fastening ring into the upper end area of the membrane collar, the stamping plate of the device can be lowered completely or at least to just before the top of the fastening ring so that at least an initial and / or partial connection can be established between the fastening ring and the stamping plate. The fastening ring therefore no longer needs to be handled separately after it has been inserted into the upper end or edge area of the membrane collar of the press membrane.Rather, it rests together with the press membrane on a base of the device, so that only the stamping plate needs to be lowered in order to connect the fastening ring and with it the press membrane to the stamping plate.

[0009] Preferably, the at least one projection forms a support for the fastening ring, at least for the initial connection of the fastening ring to a bottom side of the stamping plate. The bottom side of the fastening ring then rests on this at least one support in the upper end region of the membrane collar until the latter is connected to the stamping plate, but not yet permanently secured thereunder.

[0010] As a result of the at least one projection inside the diaphragm collar, the fastening ring no longer needs to be held once it has been inserted into the diaphragm collar. The at least one projection then holds the fastening ring in the area of the upper edge of the diaphragm collar of the press diaphragm. The punch plate of the press cylinder can then be moved down onto the upper edge of the press diaphragm and the fastening ring inserted into it until the fastening ring can be connected to the punch plate, in particular with screws. The connection of the press diaphragm to the fastening ring under the punch plate can be made in this way without the fastening ring and / or the press diaphragm having to be held under the punch plate by fitters and without a permanent connection between the fastening ring and the press diaphragm, which would make it necessary to replace the fastening ring when replacing a press diaphragm.

[0011] Preferably, the at least one projection is configured such that it projects into an interior space surrounding the diaphragm collar, in particular, protrudes radially in the direction of a vertical longitudinal center axis of the diaphragm collar relative to the inner wall of the diaphragm collar. As a result, the interior space of the diaphragm collar is constricted below its upper edge and / or at least one step is formed in the press diaphragm by the at least one projection, upon which the fastening ring can be supported, at least until the initial connection of the fastening ring to the underside of the punch plate of the press punch.

[0012] Preferably, the at least one projection extends into an interior space of the press diaphragm surrounded by the diaphragm collar. In particular, the at least one projection extends radially into the interior space in the direction of a vertical longitudinal center axis of the diaphragm collar and / or the press diaphragm. The fastening ring can be supported on at least one such projection until it connects to the die plate without sliding completely into the press diaphragm.

[0013] In an advantageous embodiment of the press diaphragm, the at least one projection inside the diaphragm collar forms an upper support surface of the single projection or of the respective projection. This support surface of the single projection or the support surface of all projections preferably lie in a plane that intersects the longitudinal center axis of the press diaphragm and / or its diaphragm collar at right angles. As a result, the fastening ring supported on the at least one support surface is held in the plane of the upper edge of the diaphragm collar or just below it, with this plane running parallel to the plane of the stamping plate, whereby the fastening ring is held precisely aligned in the upper end region of the diaphragm collar for easy connection to the stamping plate at least until the connection of the fastening ring beneath the stamping plate is established.

[0014] According to an advantageous design option for the press diaphragm, the at least one projection is arranged so far below the upper edge of the diaphragm collar that the contact surface of the projection or the contact surfaces of several projections are located at a distance below the upper edge of the diaphragm collar, wherein this distance preferably corresponds at least to the height of the fastening ring. As a result, the fastening ring is held ready in the upper end region of the press diaphragm or its diaphragm collar, so that the stamping plate can be lowered close to the fastening ring or down to the fastening ring in order to subsequently establish the connection, in particular a screw connection, between the stamping plate and the fastening ring.

[0015] It can be provided that the at least one projection of the diaphragm collar is arranged at the lower end of an upper edge section of the diaphragm collar and / or the at least one projection delimits a lower end of the edge section of the diaphragm collar. The at least one projection thus determines the insertion depth of the fastening ring into the press diaphragm, in particular the diaphragm collar thereof. This insertion depth is preferably selected such that the upper ring surface of the fastening ring coincides with the plane of the upper edge of the diaphragm collar or lies slightly below it. The fastening ring is thus held precisely aligned and positioned by the press diaphragm for connecting the fastening ring to the stamping plate.

[0016] Preferably, a single circumferential projection is provided in the diaphragm collar below the plane of its edge. This represents a circumferential constriction in the diaphragm collar of the press diaphragm and thus forms an annular, circumferential contact surface for the underside of the fastening ring inserted into the press diaphragm from above. Alternatively, however, several separate projections can be provided within the press diaphragm at a distance from the upper edge of the diaphragm collar. Each of these projections has a contact surface for the underside of the fastening ring. The contact surfaces of all projections lie in a common plane that intersects the longitudinal center axis of the diaphragm collar and / or the press diaphragm at right angles. In the case of several projections, this plane runs parallel to the plane of the underside of the stamp plate, just as in the case of a circumferential projection, so that the fastening ring is aligned parallel to the stamp plate by the projections and thus a connection of the fastening ring to the stamp plate, in particular with screws, can be easily established without any additional alignment measures.

[0017] In an advantageous design option for the press diaphragm, its diaphragm collar is provided to taper towards the edge. Alternatively or additionally, an outer side of the diaphragm collar can be provided to taper, at least in the upper edge area, towards the upper free edge. This allows for elastic pretensioning of the upper edge area of the diaphragm collar between a correspondingly ring-like outer collar under the stamp plate and the fastening ring when the fastening ring is screwed tight under the stamp plate. This creates at least a clamping connection between the press diaphragm and the stamp plate.

[0018] Preferably, the fastening ring is inserted from above into the press membrane, in particular its membrane collar, until the fastening ring rests on the at least one projection, in particular the support surface thereof, and the fastening ring is held by the at least one support in the upper edge region of the membrane collar, so that it cannot slide into the press membrane down to the membrane base.

[0019] A preferred embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, in which: Fig. 1 a schematic side view of a device for dewatering laundry with the press membrane according to the invention, Fig. 2 a detail II from the Fig. 1 with the press membrane and a fastening ring supported in the upper edge area of the same before mounting on a stamping plate of the device, and Fig. 3 a detail analogous to Fig. 2with the press membrane completely fastened with the fastening ring under the stamp plate.

[0020] The device shown in the figures is a so-called dewatering press for dewatering laundry 10 of any type, in particular washed laundry 10. During dewatering, the device presses out as much of the liquid still contained in the laundry 10, in particular the so-called bound liquor, as possible. The device can also be used to rinse the laundry 10 before dewatering.

[0021] The device has a frame with a partially liquid-permeable base plate 11. The frame also has a press yoke 12 arranged at a distance above the base plate 11. Furthermore, the frame of the device has several, for example four, upright columns 13 provided between the base plate 11 and the press yoke 12 for the rigid, spaced-apart connection of the base plate 11 to the press yoke 12.

[0022] A hydraulic cylinder 14 is located in the center (relative to the base area) of the press yoke 12. A cylinder body 15 of the hydraulic body 14 is firmly connected to the press yoke 12 above the latter. A piston rod 16 of the hydraulic cylinder 14, which can be retracted into and out of the cylinder body 15, extends through the press yoke 12 and projects downward relative to the latter.

[0023] The device further comprises a press ram 17 with a ram plate 18. A lower end of the piston rod 16 of the hydraulic cylinder 15 is firmly connected to the ram plate 18 of the press ram 17. A press membrane 19 made of a flexible, particularly elastically deformable material, preferably rubber or another elastomer, is attached beneath the ram plate 18.

[0024] The Fig. 1 shows the press ram 17 in its raised starting position, in which the piston rod 16 is retracted into the cylinder body 15 of the hydraulic cylinder 14.

[0025] In the embodiment of the device shown in the figures, the press ram 17, namely both the ram plate 18 and the press membrane 19 thereof, are cylindrical. Accordingly, a Fig. 1The press basket 20 shown is cylindrical in shape, specifically in such a way that the press ram 17, in particular its press membrane 19, can dip into the press basket 20 through the open top thereof and thereby compress or press the laundry 10 and dewater and / or rinse it.

[0026] The press membrane 19 is in vertical cross-section, of which the Fig. 2 and 3 show a part, hat-shaped. For this purpose, the press diaphragm 19 has a lower, circular diaphragm base 27 and a tubular or cylindrical diaphragm collar 28 adjoining the diaphragm base 27 above the diaphragm base 27. The underside of the diaphragm collar 28 is integrally formed on the diaphragm base 27, specifically such that the outer side of the diaphragm collar 28 is flush with the outer edge of the diaphragm base 27.

[0027] The diaphragm base 27 of the cylindrical press ram 17 shown here has a circular base. The diaphragm collar 28 is designed as a circumferential ring or tube with a free, upper, circular edge 29. An upper edge region 30 of the diaphragm collar 28 extends from the upper, free edge 29 of the diaphragm collar 28 toward the diaphragm base 27. This edge region 30 extends over approximately 20% to 60% of the height of the press diaphragm 19. In the exemplary embodiment shown in the figure, the height of the edge region 30 is approximately 40% to 50% of the total height of the press diaphragm 19. The upper edge 29 of the diaphragm collar 28 surrounds a circular upper opening 31 of the press diaphragm 19.

[0028] The upper edge region 30 of the diaphragm collar 28 of the press diaphragm 19 is detachably connected, in particular, to the underside of the dimensionally stable and / or rigid stamp plate 18 made of a metallic material. This connection between the press ram 17 and the stamp plate 18 is achieved by means of a fastening ring 32 (also referred to in technical jargon as a "mounting ring"). Like the stamp plate 18, the fastening ring 32 is made of a rigid, dimensionally stable metallic material. The fastening ring 32 is detachable or separable from the diaphragm collar 28, so that it does not need to be replaced when the press diaphragm 19 is replaced. This makes the fastening ring 32 reusable.

[0029] The fastening ring 32 is dimensioned such that it can be pushed and / or inserted through the upper cylindrical opening 31 of the press membrane 19. According to the embodiment of the Fig. 2It may be necessary to slightly elastically widen the upper edge 29 of the membrane collar 28. The height of the fastening ring 32 is dimensioned such that it is slightly lower than the height or length of the edge region 30. However, the fastening ring 32 can also have a height that corresponds to the height or length of the edge region 30.

[0030] After the fastening ring 32 has been inserted into the press membrane 19 from above, the fastening ring 32 is surrounded by the upper edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28. In this case, both a longitudinal center axis of the fastening ring 32 and a longitudinal center axis of the press membrane 19 lie together, overlapping each other. This common longitudinal center axis of the fastening ring 32 and the press membrane 19 lies on a longitudinal center axis 33 of the device ( Fig. 1 ).

[0031] The fastening ring 32 is designed so that it can be detachably connected to the stamp plate 18. Preferably, the fastening ring 32 is screwed to the stamp plate 18 from below using several screws 34 distributed around its circumference, after which it hangs beneath the stamp plate 18, just like the press membrane 19. For this purpose, the fastening ring 32 has several appropriately positioned, preferably identical, threaded holes 35.

[0032] On the inside, a single annular projection 36 is assigned to the membrane collar 28 at a distance from the upper edge 29. Preferably, the circumferential projection 36 is positioned inside the membrane collar 28 at the point where the edge region 33 of the membrane collar 28 extending from the upper edge 29 ends. Furthermore, the distance of the circumferential annular projection 36 from the upper edge 29 of the membrane collar 28 is selected such that this distance corresponds to the height of the fastening ring 32 or is slightly greater ( Fig. 2 ).

[0033] In cross-section, the projection 36 is wedge-shaped, tapering towards the inner end in the direction of the longitudinal central axis 33. An upper boundary of the projection 36, which has a wedge-shaped cross-section, runs horizontally, whereas a lower boundary is inclined. The horizontal boundary of the projection 36 lies in a plane that is intersected perpendicularly by the longitudinal central axis 33. As a result, the horizontal boundary or wall of the circumferential projection 36, which has a wedge-shaped cross-section, forms a flat support surface 37 on which the underside of the fastening ring 32 rests or is supported, at least prior to its connection to the stamping plate 18, thereby preventing the fastening ring 32 from falling into the pressing membrane 19. Furthermore, the circumferential projection 36, with its support surface 37, also limits the insertion depth of the fastening ring 32 into the pressing membrane 19.The fastening ring 32 is thus held by the circumferential projection 36 of the press diaphragm 19, in particular its diaphragm collar 28, preferably in the upper edge region 30 of the diaphragm collar 28. The circumferential projection 36 also serves to position and / or align the fastening ring 32 between the support surface 37 of the circumferential projection 36 and the upper edge 29 of the diaphragm collar 28.

[0034] The plane intersecting the longitudinal central axis 33 at right angles, in which the support surface 37 of the circumferential projection 36 is located, runs parallel to the circumferential upper edge 29 of the membrane collar 28 and thus also parallel to the upper opening 31 of the press membrane 19.

[0035] The circumferential projection 36 constricts an interior space 38 of the press diaphragm 19, which is surrounded by the diaphragm collar 28, to such an extent that it forms a sufficiently large support surface 37 for the underside of the fastening ring 32 inserted from above into the diaphragm collar 28. The cross-section of the circumferential projection 36 is also formed such that the circumferential projection 36 has sufficient stability to support the fastening ring 32.

[0036] The circumferential projection 36 is formed in one piece on the inside of the membrane collar 28, preferably at the lower end of the upper edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28, which is spaced from the edge 29. As a result, the projection 36 is made of the material of the press membrane 19, so that the projection 36 is also slightly flexible, but due to its dimensioning, in particular its cross-section, has sufficiently great stability to ensure reliable support of the fastening ring 32, without there being a risk of the fastening ring 32 slipping past the circumferential projection 36 into the interior 38 of the press membrane 19.

[0037] An alternative embodiment of the press membrane 19 is conceivable in which, instead of a single circumferential projection 36 projecting into and / or constricting the interior 38 of the press membrane 19, a plurality of preferably identical projections are provided, distributed evenly over the inner circumference of the membrane collar 28. These projections can be positioned in the same way and / or have the same cross-section as the circumferential projection 36. So that these plurality of smaller projections can bear the weight of the fastening ring 32, it is conceivable for these projections to have a larger cross-section, in particular to be enlarged in the direction of the longitudinal central axis 33 and / or to have a greater height.

[0038] The fastening ring 32 is profiled on its outer circumference. For this purpose, it has a lower projection 39 with a preferably substantially rectangular cross-section and, spaced therefrom, an upper projection 40 with a preferably wedge-shaped cross-section. In the exemplary embodiment shown, an outer edge of the lower circumferential projection 39 on the outside of the fastening ring 32 has a slightly larger diameter than the outer circumference of the upper projection 40. Both a lower boundary surface of the lower projection 39 and an upper boundary surface of the upper projection 40 run flush with the lower ring surface 41 and the upper ring surface 42 of the fastening ring 32, respectively. The projections 39 and 40 thus contribute to enlarging the ring surfaces 41 and 42 of the fastening ring 32.

[0039] Between the lower projection 39 and the upper projection 40 on the outside of the fastening ring 32 there is a circumferential groove 43, which is thus delimited by the projections 39 and 40 at the top and bottom.

[0040] The membrane collar 28 of the press membrane 19 has, starting from the upper edge 29, an inner circumferential projection 44. This is arranged at a distance above the projection 36 to form a support for the fastening ring 32, this distance being somewhat greater than the height of the lower projection 39 on the outside of the fastening ring 32 ( Fig. 2). In cross-section, the inner projection 44 extending from the upper edge 29 of the diaphragm collar 28 is designed to correspond to the groove 43 in the outer side of the fastening ring 32, wherein the cross-section of the projection 44 on the inner side of the diaphragm collar 28 is preferably smaller than the groove 43 of the fastening ring 32. As a result, when the fastening ring 32 is inserted into the press diaphragm 19 but not yet mounted under the stamping plate 18, there is play between the fastening ring 32 and the diaphragm collar 28.

[0041] In the exemplary embodiment shown, the circumferential projection 44 in the upper region of the membrane collar 28 constricts the opening 31 of the same to such an extent that the circumferential end of the projection 44 has a diameter which is slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the lower outer projection 39 of the fastening ring 32. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the projection 44 constricts the interior 38 of the membrane collar 29 to approximately the same extent as the projection 36 located at a distance below it for forming the support surface 37 for the fastening ring 32 ( Fig. 2 ). However, it is also conceivable that the constriction of the inner diameter of the membrane collar 28 by the upper projection 44 is less than that by the projection 36 for forming the support for the fastening ring 32. The fastening ring 32 is then lighter and can be inserted into the membrane collar 28 with only a slight widening of the upper end region thereof.

[0042] At least in the outer diameter, an upper part of the outer wall of the diaphragm collar 28, facing the edge 29, is tapered toward the edge 29. This tapered part extends at least over half the height of the press diaphragm 19.

[0043] The stamp plate 18 is provided with a circumferential groove 45 open towards its underside. This circumferential groove 45 is located in the outer peripheral area of the stamp plate 18 ( Fig. 3), so that an outer annular wall 46 of the groove 45 is slightly spaced from the outer circumferential surface 47 of the stamp plate 18. The stamp plate 18 then has an annular wall - albeit a narrow one - for the outer boundary of the groove 45. The groove 45 is further delimited by an inner annular wall 48 and an annular wall to form a groove base 49. The annular groove base 49 lies in a plane that is intersected perpendicularly by the longitudinal center axis 33 and runs parallel to the underside and / or the top side of the stamp plate 18. The inner annular wall 48 of the groove 45 runs perpendicular to the groove base 49 and parallel to the longitudinal center axis 33.The outer annular wall 46 of the groove 45 is slightly inclined so that it has a frustoconical shape concentrically surrounding the longitudinal central axis 33, wherein the inclination of the outer annular wall 46 is directed such that its distance from the cylindrical outer circumferential surface 47 of the punch plate 18 increases slightly towards the groove base 49 (. Fig. 3 ).

[0044] The circumferential groove 45 in the underside of the stamp plate 18, which is open at the bottom, has a depth that corresponds to the height of the fastening ring 32 or - as in the illustrated embodiment - is somewhat less, and alternatively can also be somewhat larger. The width of the groove 44 is dimensioned such that when the fastening ring 32 is fully mounted under the stamp plate 18 and screwed tight by the screws 34 below the stamp plate 18, both the fastening ring 32 and the largest part of the upper edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28 fill the groove 44 and preferably at least a part of the edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28 is held firmly pressed in the groove 44 with prestress. The inner upper projection 44 engages under the edge 29 of the membrane collar 28 into the outer groove 43 of the fastening ring 32 and preferably fills it completely ( Fig. 3). This results in a positive connection of the press membrane 19 with the stamping plate 18 by the fastening ring 32. In addition, by compressing at least a part of the upper edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28 in the groove 45, an additional force-locking connection can be created between the press membrane 19, the stamping plate 18 and / or the fastening ring 32 ( Fig. 3 ).

[0045] The method for mounting the previously described press membrane 19 under the punch plate 18 proceeds as follows: With the press basket 20 pivoted away, the press membrane 19 is positioned under the raised punch plate 18, preferably such that the longitudinal center axis of the press membrane 19 lies on the longitudinal center axis 33 of the device. The fastening ring 32 is then inserted and / or pressed into the press membrane 19 from above through the opening 31, to such an extent that the fastening ring 32 rests on the support surface 37 of the projection 36, preferably at the lower end of the edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28. This can be done manually or, if necessary, with the aid of a lifting device.

[0046] Subsequently, the fastening ring 32 and / or the press membrane 19 are positioned and aligned under the punch plate 18 such that the longitudinal center axes of the threaded holes 35 of the fastening ring 32 are aligned with the longitudinal center axes of the through holes of the punch plate 18. The hydraulic cylinder 14 then lowers the punch plate 18, only far enough so that it does not yet touch the top of the fastening ring 32, but the screws 34 can already be initially screwed into the threaded holes 35 in the fastening ring 32 from the punch plate 18.

[0047] After the screws 34 have initially been screwed into the fastening ring 32, the punch plate 18 is moved further down by the hydraulic cylinder 14, namely until it is just above the edge 29 and / or the fastening ring 32 or until it rests on the edge 29 and / or the fastening ring 32. The upper edge 29 of the diaphragm collar 28 then touches the groove bottom 49 of the groove 45 in the underside of the punch plate 18. The screws 34 are then tightened until the upper side of the fastening ring 32 also rests against the groove bottom 49 and is pressed against the groove bottom 49 by the screws 34 with preload.During this screwing, at least a large part of the upper edge region 30 of the membrane collar 28 and / or the projection 44 of the membrane collar 28 is clamped between the stamping plate 18, in particular the outer frustoconical annular wall 46 of the groove 45 in the stamping plate 18, and the fastening ring 32, whereby an at least positive, preferably also force-locking, connection of the fastening ring 32, which is not permanently connected to the press membrane 19 by gluing, vulcanizing or in any other way, is created.

[0048] After the pressing membrane 19 has been fastened under the stamp plate 18 in the manner described above, the assembly process of the pressing stamp 17 is completed.

[0049] Disassembly of a worn press diaphragm 19 or one to be replaced is carried out in reverse order. After disassembly of the press diaphragm 19, the fastening ring 32 is pulled upwards out of the press diaphragm, with the fastening ring 32 resting on the projection 36 at the lower end of the edge region 30 of the diaphragm collar 28 until it is pulled out of the press diaphragm 19. The fastening ring 32 originating from the press diaphragm 19 to be replaced can then be reused for a new press diaphragm 19 to be mounted under the stamping plate 18.
