Description

Technical area

[0001] The invention relates to a hinge for a door or a window comprising a frame hinge part which can be mounted on a fixed frame and has a mounting section and a substantially cylindrical receiving bush, a sash hinge part which can be mounted on the sash of the door or window and has a mounting section and a hinge flap, and an axle element which articulates the two hinge parts which are arranged one above the other in the vertical direction in the assembled state, said axle element having an axle bolt section which can be inserted into the receiving bush and a section arranged at the opposite end with a receptacle for the hinge flap, wherein the hinge flap can be adjusted via an adjusting device within the receptacle in the axle element normal to the direction of the longitudinal axis of the axle element. State of the art

[0002] Door hinges designed as roller hinges comprise a frame hinge section and a leaf hinge section, with each hinge section having a mounting section and a section connected to a pivot element. The mounting sections can be screwed to the frame and leaf within the door rebate, leaving only the pivot element and the pivot element mounts visible from the outside as a so-called "roller." It will be understood by those skilled in the art that the terms frame hinge section and leaf hinge section do not necessarily refer only to the installation state in which the frame hinge section is mounted on the frame and the leaf hinge section on the leaf. Depending on the application, these two parts can also be installed in reverse or can serve as a hinge between two leaves in a series of multi-leaf or split doors.

[0003] In order to finely adjust a sash relative to the frame, it is also desirable to provide an adjustment device within the door hinge. In the simplest case, the adjustment screws for the position of the sash relative to the frame are located in the area of the mounting sections of the sash hinge part or frame hinge part. This has the disadvantage that adjustment can only be carried out when the sash is open, whereas the correct position can be checked when the sash is closed. In addition, providing the adjustment devices in the area of the mounting sections requires more space, which means that corresponding recesses must be provided inside the door rebate. This leads to higher costs in the production of these components and, depending on the application, is not feasible in every case.

[0004] Designs in which the adjustment devices are located near the pivot element offer the advantage of being accessible even when the sash is closed. However, this often results in an offset between the sash hinge and the frame hinge, which is perceived as visually disturbing. The increased complexity of the pivot element also often results in a less stable design for the pivot axis and in play during use, requiring the sash to be repeatedly readjusted.

[0005] WO 00 / 66863 A describes a hinge in the form of a roller hinge, in which the lateral axial offset during fine adjustment between the frame hinge part and the sash hinge part is concealed by a slip-on sleeve that is connected in alignment with one of the two parts. For this to work, the cross-section of the part of the respective hinge part located within the sleeve is reduced by the adjustment travel of the axial offset. The reduced cross-section also weakens the element in this area with regard to force transmission, whereby the final setting is always only fixed by the adjusting device itself. Adjustment over time is therefore not prevented, and it is precisely the increased load in this area that leads to adjustment of the sash over time and / or play within the hinge.

[0006] EP 2186980 A describes a very similar hinge, but in which the adjustment range is adjusted within the hinge tab. Here, too, the final adjustment is secured solely by the adjustment device, which gives rise to the problems mentioned above. DE 42 19 681 A1 and US 2016 / 060930 A1 also disclose adjustable hinges. Description of the invention

[0007] The object of the present invention is therefore to improve the hinge mentioned above in such a way that it allows adjustment options within the hinge's "roll," so that no externally visible axial offset occurs between the sash hinge part and the frame hinge part, and so that the stability within the hinge is increased, preventing automatic adjustment or the development of play. The stability and optimized force transmission between the sash hinge part and the frame hinge part should be achieved in the simplest possible way, thereby also keeping the production costs of such a hinge low.

[0008] This object is achieved according to the invention in that at least one clamping block, preferably two clamping blocks, are connected to the axle element in the receptacle for the hinge plate via a connecting element, each clamping block having an undercut running in a direction normal to the longitudinal axis of the axle element, which undercut engages in a corresponding, oppositely undercut groove on the hinge plate, and each clamping block being movable by means of the connecting element between a clamping position and a release position. By providing the clamping block, a stable, play-free connection is created between the hinge plate and the axle element. As a result, the forces that occur do not have to be transmitted via the adjusting device alone. To adjust the strap, the clamping blocks are brought into the release position, which enables adjustment of the hinge plate within the receptacle via the adjusting device. After adjustment, the clamping stones are returned to the clamping position, which means that further adjustment is no longer possible.

[0009] According to a preferred embodiment, the receptacle in the axle element has a width in the direction normal to the longitudinal axis that is wider than the hinge plate by the lateral adjustment range of the hinge plate. The adjustment device is an adjusting screw guided in a threaded bore in the hinge plate, which extends through the width of the receptacle and is supported by it. In this preferred embodiment, the axle element can be designed to be correspondingly stable and can also absorb higher forces.

[0010] As a further preferred feature, the clamping blocks also have the width of the receptacle, with clamping screws being provided as connecting elements that connect the clamping blocks at the base of the receptacle to the axle element. In the release position, the clamping blocks with the undercuts also serve as guides for the hinge plate in the adjustment direction, since the undercuts and counter-undercut grooves run parallel to the adjustment direction of the adjustment device.

[0011] Another advantageous feature is that a front surface section of the hinge plate and a surface facing it adjacent to the receptacle and / or within the receptacle in the axle element are flat, so that the two surfaces lie flush against each other in the clamped position. This ensures a large-area, play-free connection between the hinge plate and the axle element in the clamped position. The adjustment device is thus completely relieved of load in the clamped position, which also prevents automatic adjustment.

[0012] An additional advantageous feature is that the cylindrical mounting bushing in the frame hinge part can be adjusted in height relative to the frame hinge part via an adjusting screw that can be adjusted along the longitudinal axis of the axle element. It is also advantageous to easily accommodate vertical adjustment in the axle element.

[0013] Another advantageous feature is that a lower cover cap is provided on the frame hinge part. This cap covers the adjustment screw for height adjustment and can be connected to the adjustment screw or the mounting bushing via a fixing screw. The cover cap, secured by a fixing screw, simultaneously creates a counter screw for the adjustment screw, which secures it in its set position against unwanted rotation.

[0014] Finally, a further preferred feature is that a cover in the form of a cylinder jacket section is provided, which can be pushed over the section of the axle element containing the receptacle for the hinge tab, wherein the clear width of the opening in the cylinder jacket corresponds at most to the width of the receptacle for the hinge tab. In principle, the solid axle element means that the hinge can also be used without a slip-on sleeve, without any visible axis displacement occurring. However, to ensure that the adjusting screws and connecting elements for the clamping blocks are not visible and are protected, a cover can be provided. This cover only requires a small amount of clearance for the hinge tab to pass through. Depending on the adjustment of the hinge tab to the axle element, the cover can be rotated accordingly in order to enclose the axle element as completely as possible. Short description of the drawings

[0015] The invention will now be described in more detail using an embodiment and with the aid of the accompanying figures. Fig. 1 a schematic perspective view of the essential components of a band according to the invention, Fig. 2 a partially sectioned view of the band from Fig. 1 in assembled condition, Fig. 3 a further schematic longitudinal sectional view of a band according to the invention, Figures 4 to 6 Cross-sectional views of a belt according to the invention in the different setting positions. Way(s) of carrying out the invention

[0016] In the Fig. 1The main elements of a hinge according to the invention are shown schematically. The frame hinge part 1 and the sash hinge part 4 are shown one above the other. The axle element 7 is shown separately next to it for a better view. The frame hinge part 1 comprises a mounting section 2 that can be mounted on the frame in the rebate, as well as the receiving bushing 3 for the axle bolt section 8 of the axle element 7, which is received in a corresponding cylindrical part. The sash hinge part 4 also comprises a mounting section 5 that can be mounted in the rebate on the sash, as well as a hinge tab 6 that can be inserted into a receptacle 10 in the upper section 9 of the axle element 7. The hinge tab 6 is designed to be narrower than the receptacle 10 in the axle element 7 by one adjustment path.

[0017] When inserted, the hinge plate 6 can be displaced perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the axle element 7 via an adjustment device 11. Furthermore, clamping blocks 12 are provided, which are guided by undercuts in a correspondingly oppositely undercut groove 14. The undercuts are aligned parallel to the displacement direction of the adjustment device 11. The clamping blocks 12 are connected to the axle element 7 by means of connecting elements 13, here in the form of screws.

[0018] The longitudinal axes of the screws, the displacement direction of the adjustment device 11 and the longitudinal axis of the axis element 7 are each perpendicular to each other.

[0019] In the Fig. 2is a partially sectioned view of the assembled state. The clamping blocks 12 are held in the receptacle 10 in the axle element 7 by the connecting elements 13. The clamping blocks 12 can be moved between a release position and a clamping position by loosening or tightening the connecting elements 13. In the clamping position, an end surface of the hinge tab 6 comes to rest with a surface facing it on or in the receptacle 10 in the axle element 7. In the exemplary embodiment shown, this is a surface section at the top and bottom of the hinge tab, which rests on a surface section on the top and bottom edge section adjacent to the receptacle 10. In the release position, the position of the hinge can be adjusted using the adjusting device 11.After tightening the connecting elements 13, the hinge flap 6 is secured within the holder 10 without play and the adjusting device 11 is thus relieved of the load with regard to the transmission of forces in the hinge.

[0020] In Fig. 31 shows a schematic view of a further sectional view of a hinge according to the invention. In the frame hinge part 1, the receiving bushing 3 for the axle bolt section 8 is arranged so as to be adjustable in the axial direction of the axle element 7. The adjustment is effected via an adjusting screw 15 which is accessible from below and via which the vertical distance between the frame hinge part 1 and the sash hinge part 4 can be adjusted. To ensure that the adjusting screw 15 is also secured against undesired twisting, a lower cover cap 16 is provided which can be connected to the receiving bushing 3 via a fixing screw 17. The fixing screw 17 serves as a counter screw for the adjusting screw 15, since it presses the receiving bushing 3 against the adjusting screw 15 and secures it in the respectively set position. It would also be possible for the fixing screw 17 to directly counter the adjusting screw 15.

[0021] In the Fig. 4 to 6Different adjustments of the frame hinge part 1 to the sash hinge part 4 are shown in a schematic cross-sectional view. As can be seen, the receptacle 10 for the hinge flap 6 is wider than the penetrating section of the hinge flap 6 by the possible adjustment range. Fig. 4 a position is shown in which the hinge plate 6 is moved completely to the left in the holder 10 via the adjusting device 11. In the Fig. 5 the hinge flap 6 is located exactly in the middle of the holder 10 and in the Fig. 6Far right. In addition to the guidance via the adjustment device 11, which here is implemented in the form of a worm screw mounted in the holder 10, the clamping blocks 12 in the release position also serve as a guide for the hinge plate 6, allowing it to be moved linearly within the holder. The clamping blocks 12 are located above and below the adjustment device 11, and the undercuts on the clamping blocks and in the undercut groove 14 run parallel to the adjustment direction of the adjustment device 11.

[0022] A cover 18 in the form of a cylinder jacket section is placed externally over the axle element 7 to cover both the adjustment device 11 and the connecting elements 13 of the clamping blocks 12. Depending on the position of the hinge plate 6, the cover 18 can be rotated accordingly to allow the hinge plate 6 to pass through.
