Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a sash profile with fitting fastening, in particular for window sashes and door sashes made of wood. STATE OF THE ART
[0002] State-of-the-art wooden sash profiles with hardware attachments are known, where the hardware must be screwed to the sash profile using wood screws of at least 30 mm in length. This length is necessary to prevent the wood screws from tearing out. Therefore, a profile thickness of more than 30 mm is required in the area where the hardware is attached, which precludes the production of sash profiles with thinner profile thicknesses.
[0003] WO 2008 / 152100 A1 shows a wing profile according to the preamble of claim 1. DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0004] An object of the present invention is to provide a sash profile with fitting fastening, which can also be used for sash profiles with profile thicknesses of less than 30 mm.
[0005] This object is achieved by a sash profile with fitting fastening having the features of claim 1. Further embodiments of the sash profile with fitting fastening, of a sash frame with such sash profiles with fitting fastening, of a sash with such sash profiles with fitting fastening, and a method for producing such sash profiles with fitting fastening are defined by the features of further claims.
[0006] A sash profile with fitting fastening according to the invention comprises a sash profile which has a substantially T-shaped cross-section and, in a direction perpendicular to the cross-section, a length which is a multiple of the cross-sectional dimensions. The length can in principle be any desired length. For very large window or door sashes, for stability reasons, the profile thickness must be large enough to allow the use of conventional fitting fastenings. However, the use of sash profiles with fitting fastening according to the invention is not excluded. The cross-section has a base part and a transverse part oriented at right angles to the base part. The base part has a first surface which forms a frontal glazing stop, and the transverse part has a second surface adjacent to the first surface and oriented at right angles to it, which second surface forms a lateral glazing stop.On a side opposite the first surface, a recess is provided in the base part, which extends at least partially along the length of the sash profile and in which at least one fitting is arranged. The at least one recess can extend from a free end of the sash profile or it can be arranged at a distance therefrom. Multiple fittings can be arranged in the at least one recess, or one fitting can be arranged in each recess. If there are multiple recesses, these can be arranged evenly distributed over the length of the sash profile.
[0007] Adjacent to the recess, in the direction of the first surface, a groove is provided, which extends at least partially along the length of the sash profile. The groove has a groove opening whose width is smaller than that of the recess, and the groove has a groove base whose width is greater than that of the groove opening. At least one clamping element is provided in the groove, and at least one screw is provided, which protrudes through the fitting and is screwed to the at least one clamping element.
[0008] This design has the advantage of having a low overall height and thus also allowing the production of sash profiles with lower profile thicknesses in the area where the fittings are attached.
[0009] In one embodiment, the recess extends along the entire length of the wing profile.
[0010] In one embodiment, the groove extends along the entire length of the recess.
[0011] In one embodiment, the width of the groove decreases from the groove base in the direction of the groove opening either continuously or in a stepped manner. For example, a dovetail or trapezoidal groove can be realized with a continuous decrease. A T-slot is an example of a stepped decrease.
[0012] In one embodiment, a groove neck of a constant width is provided adjacent to the groove opening. The groove neck allows the distance between the groove base and the groove opening to be increased, allowing the use of longer screws and providing more material between the clamping element and the fitting, increasing the stability of the sash profile in this area.
[0013] In one embodiment, the clamping element has a base body with a substantially trapezoidal or substantially rectangular cross-section. Furthermore, the clamping element has at least one through-hole into which the at least one screw is screwed. Alternatively, the clamping element can have a blind hole.
[0014] In one embodiment, the clamping element comprises a sleeve that is connected to the base body and arranged in an extension of the at least one through-hole. The sleeve can be formed integrally with the base body or it can be firmly connected to it.
[0015] In one embodiment, the at least one through hole is designed as a threaded bore.
[0016] In one embodiment, the clamping element has a width that substantially corresponds to the width of the groove base and has a depth oriented perpendicular to the width, which substantially corresponds to the width of the groove opening. Thus, the clamping element can be inserted into the groove through the groove opening toward the groove base when the clamping element is rotated 90 degrees relative to its final screwed orientation. By tightening the screw, the clamping element is rotated until it abuts laterally in the groove. By further turning the screw, the clamping element is tightened.
[0017] In one embodiment, the clamping element comprises, in a sectional plane oriented perpendicular to a direction of extension of the through-hole, two rounded edge regions diagonally opposite one another with respect to the through-hole and two angular edge regions diagonally opposite one another with respect to the through-hole. The rounded edge regions are provided on a front edge of the clamping element with respect to a screw-in direction of the screw. The rounded edge regions prevent premature engagement of the clamping element in the groove and allow engagement after a 90-degree rotation of the clamping element after insertion into the groove.
[0018] In one embodiment, the sash profile is made of wood and the clamping element is made of plastic or metal. The sash profile can be made of solid wood or laminated veneer lumber. For example, softwoods such as pine, spruce, hemlock, fir, pine, larch, Douglas fir, fir, and cedar, or hardwoods such as afzelia, oak, eucalyptus, framire, iroko, mahogany, makoré, mengkulang, meranti, merbau, niangon, robinia, teak, and seraya can be used.
[0019] The screw is a metal screw, a sheet metal screw, or a self-tapping sheet metal screw. With a self-tapping sheet metal screw, the clamping element does not need to have a through hole.
[0020] The mentioned designs of the sash profile with fittings can be used in any combination, provided they do not contradict each other.
[0021] A casement according to the invention comprises at least one casement profile with a hardware attachment according to one of the preceding embodiments. Typically, a casement comprises four casement profiles, of which two, three, or all four may be casement profiles with hardware attachment according to the invention.
[0022] A wing according to the invention comprises a sash frame according to the invention and a glazing which abuts the first surface at the front and which abuts the second surface at the side.
[0023] A method according to the invention for producing a sash profile with fitting fastening comprises the steps: Providing a sash profile, at least one fitting, at least one screw, and at least one clamping element according to one of the aforementioned embodiments; passing the at least one screw through the at least one fitting; partially screwing the at least one screw into the at least one clamping element; jointly inserting the at least one fitting into the recess and the at least one clamping element into the groove in the direction of the length of the sash profile; jointly positioning the at least one fitting and the at least one clamping element; tightening the at least one screw (4).
[0024] An alternative method according to the invention for producing a sash profile with fitting fastening comprises the steps: Providing a sash profile, at least one fitting, at least one screw, and at least one clamping element according to one of the aforementioned embodiments; inserting the at least one clamping element into the groove in the direction of the length of the sash profile; positioning the at least one clamping element; positioning the at least one fitting in the recess; passing the at least one screw through the at least one fitting; screwing the at least one screw to the at least one clamping element. SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE CHARACTERS
[0025] Embodiments of the present invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the figures. These are for illustrative purposes only and are not to be interpreted in a restrictive manner. Fig. 1 a sectional view of a conventional sash profile with a low profile thickness and conventional hardware fastening; Fig. 2a sectional view of a first embodiment of a sash profile according to the invention with fitting fastening; Fig. 3 a sectional view of a second embodiment of a fitting fastening according to the invention; Fig. 4 a sectional view of a third embodiment of a fitting fastening according to the invention; and Fig. 5 a sectional view of a sash with sash profiles with fitting fastening according to the first embodiment. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0026] The Figure 1shows a sectional view of a conventional sash profile 300 with a low profile thickness and conventional fitting fastening 2. The sash profile 300 has a substantially T-shaped cross-section. The cross-section has a base part and a transverse part oriented at right angles thereto. The base part essentially corresponds to a functional side 30 of the sash profile, which is arranged on the left side in this figure, and the transverse part essentially corresponds to a visible side 31 of the sash profile, which is arranged on the right side in this figure. The base part has a first surface 32 which forms a front-side glazing stop and the transverse part has a second surface 36 adjacent to the first surface and oriented at right angles thereto, which second surface forms a lateral glazing stop.On a side opposite the first surface 32, a recess 37 is provided in the base part and in which a fitting 1 is arranged. The fitting 1 is screwed to the sash profile with a wood screw 2. The sash profile shown has a profile thickness in the area of the fastening point of the fitting 1 which is less than the prescribed minimum length of the wood screw 2. In an outermost end face at a free end of the base part, a profile groove 33 is provided which extends parallel to the first surface 32 and in which a corresponding end profile can be inserted. In an end face set back from the outermost end face, a first sealing groove 34 is provided which extends parallel to the first surface 32 and into which a corresponding first seal can be inserted. In an end face set back from an outermost end face of a first free end of the transverse part, a second sealing groove 35 is provided which extends at right angles to the first surface 32 and into which a corresponding second seal can be inserted.
[0027] The Figure 2 shows a sectional view of a first embodiment of a sash profile 3 according to the invention with fitting fastening. The illustrated sash profile according to the invention is essentially identical to the conventional sash profile of the Figure 1. However, it is designed differently in the area of the fitting attachment. Adjacent to the recess 37 is a groove which extends in the direction of the first surface 32. This means that the groove 38 extends at a right angle to the first surface 32 towards the latter. In the embodiment shown, the groove depth corresponds essentially to half the profile thickness in the attachment area of the fitting. The groove 38 has a groove opening 381 whose width is smaller than that of the recess 37, and the groove 38 has a groove base 380 whose width is greater than that of the groove opening 381. The decrease in the width of the groove 38 from the groove base 380 in the direction of the groove opening 381 is continuous, resulting in a trapezoidal groove section. Between the trapezoidal groove section and the groove opening 381, a groove neck 382 is formed which has the same width as the groove opening 381.A wedge-shaped clamping element 5 is provided in the groove 38. The clamping wedge 5 comprises at least one threaded bore. The clamping wedge has a length that is a multiple of the diameter of the threaded bore. A short clamping wedge can have a length that is three times the diameter of the threaded bore. A long clamping wedge can have a length that essentially corresponds to that of the fitting. A long clamping wedge can comprise several threaded bores that are matched to the corresponding bores of the fitting. A screw 4 is provided which projects through the fitting 1 and is screwed to the clamping wedge 5. By tightening the screw 4, a bracing between the fitting 1 and the clamping wedge 5 can be achieved.
[0028] The Figure 3shows a sectional view of a second embodiment of a fitting fastening according to the invention, wherein the sash profile 3 is only schematically shown as a rectangular profile. In this embodiment, the groove 38 is designed as a T-slot and comprises a groove opening 381 whose width is smaller than that of the recess 37 and comprises a groove base 380 whose width is greater than that of the groove opening 381. The decrease in the width of the groove 38 from the groove base 380 in the direction of the groove opening 381 is stepped, resulting in a T-slot with a groove neck 382, wherein the groove neck 382 has the same width as the groove opening 381. A clamping element in the form of a T-slot nut with a clamping plate 50 and with a threaded portion 500 aligned at right angles thereto is inserted into the groove 38. A threaded bore is provided in the threaded portion. This clamping element can also be used in a short or long version. In the long version, a single clamping plate 50 can be provided, on which several threaded sections 500 are arranged. In this case, the threaded sections 500 can be designed as threaded sleeves. A screw 4, which protrudes through the fitting 1, is screwed into the threaded section 500. By tightening the screw 4, a clamping force can be achieved between the fitting 1 and the clamping plate 50.
[0029] The Figure 4 shows a sectional view of a third embodiment of a fitting fastening according to the invention, wherein the sash profile 3 is again shown only schematically as a rectangular profile. In this embodiment, as in the embodiment of Figure 3 , the groove 38 is also designed as a T-slot. In contrast to the design of the Figure 3However, the clamping element is designed as a clamping plate 51 into which a sheet metal screw 40 is screwed, which protrudes through the fitting 1. A short embodiment of the clamping plate 51 has a length that corresponds to its width. A long clamping plate 51 has a length that is a multiple of this and can be the same length as the length of the fitting. The clamping plate can have holes that are aligned with the holes in the fitting. With self-tapping sheet metal screws, the clamping plate does not need to have any holes.
[0030] The Figure 5shows a sectional view of a sash with sash profiles 3 with fitting fastening according to the first embodiment. A glazing 6 abuts the respective first surface 32 at the front and the respective second surface 36 of the corresponding sash profile 3 at the side. An end surface seal 80 is provided between the first surface 32 and the glazing 6, and a side surface seal 81 is provided between the second surface 36 and the glazing. An overlap seal 8 is inserted in the second sealing groove 35 of each sash profile 3. An end profile 7 is inserted in the profile groove 33 of each sash profile 3. LIST OF REFERENCE SYMBOLS
