Description
[0001] The invention relates to a riflescope with a zoom adjustment device having the features of claim 1.
[0002] DE 10 2018 125142 A1 describes a comparable rifle scope.
[0003] Rifle scopes are used in conjunction with instruments or firearms, especially hunting rifles. Especially for hunting rifles, which are usually used at dusk, handling must be ensured even in poor light conditions.
[0004] The problem is solved by a riflescope having the features of claim 1.
[0005] The riflescope includes a zoom adjustment device with at least one marking that is at least partially provided or coated with a luminous color. The luminous color allows the magnification levels of the zoom adjustment device to be clearly visible even in dim light.
[0006] The zoom adjustment device for adjusting the magnification has a ring that can be rotated around the optical axis of the rifle scope.
[0007] The luminous color has a fluorescent color or a phosphorescent color.
[0008] Typically, the zoom adjustment device allows magnifications between 1x and 50x, in particular 6 to 24x.
[0009] The invention is explained in connection with the exemplary embodiment shown in the figure. The figure shows a detailed view of one embodiment of a riflescope.
[0010] The figure shows a portion of a riflescope 10, which includes the eyepiece 1. Through the eyepiece 1 arranged on the tube of the riflescope, a user can view the magnified image of the target captured by the lens (not shown here).
[0011] A reticle, e.g., in the form of a crosshair, is arranged inside the riflescope 10 as an aiming device. A reticle adjustment device 3 enables adjustment of the aiming device in the vertical and horizontal directions.
[0012] The riflescope 10 gives the user a straight line of sight from the reticle to the target.
[0013] To enable targeted magnification of the target image, the illustrated embodiment includes a zoom adjustment device 2, which here is designed as a ring that can be rotated around the tube of the riflescope. Markings 5 for individual magnification levels—here, for example, from 6 to 24—are arranged on the circumference of the ring.
[0014] In principle, other magnification levels and other mechanical designs of the zoom adjustment device 2 are of course also possible.
[0015] The markings 5 on the zoom adjustment device are generally difficult to see in twilight, so they are coated with a luminous color. In the present embodiment, all numerical indications of the marking 5 are filled with luminous color, although it is also possible for only some of the numbers to be filled. The marking 5 can also consist entirely or partially of lines or other symbols representing different magnification values.
[0016] A fluorescent paint can convert UV light in daylight so that it is emitted at a longer wavelength.
[0017] A phosphorescent paint (also called afterglow paint) stores incident light and releases it with a time delay. Typically, alkaline earth sulfides (CaS, SrS, or BaS) are used in phosphorescent paints or coatings. These paints can glow for several hours (e.g., up to 4 hours) after external illumination, then in the dark.
[0018] However, this afterglow can be adjusted so dimly that it is only visible at a relatively short distance (e.g., 1.5 m). The good visibility of Mark 5, limited to short distances, is desirable for hunting. List of reference symbols
