Description
[0001] The technical field concerns floor panel supports, trunks including such supports, and vehicles equipped with such trunks.
[0002] Motor vehicles generally have a trunk delimited at the bottom by a floor, laterally by two side trunk trims, at the front by a transverse partition separating it from the passenger compartment - usually made by the back of the seats - and at the rear by a trunk panel or a tailgate.
[0003] The diversity of items to be transported and stored in a car trunk, as well as the various uses of these items, leads manufacturers to offer storage solutions or ways to divide the trunk space into several compartments. For this purpose, some vehicles are equipped with a false floor that separates the trunk into two distinct volumes: a volume located below the false floor for storing valuables or items that should not be in contact with other items, and a volume located above the false floor. The systems used to date that allow for this trunk modularity can be placed in two categories: the first category includes removable false floors that slide into grooves in the side walls of the trunk, and the second category includes non-removable false floors that can be moved by sliding or pivoting between different positions.
[0004] In the case of a removable false floor, handling it is not easy, and replacing it requires the use of both hands without a guide. Handling is even more difficult when the false floor can be positioned in several different locations. Furthermore, car manufacturers' customers are very sensitive to vehicle features and finishes, which includes, among other things, the fit and finish of the various vehicle components. In this context, ease of handling, on the one hand, and the fit and finish of a false floor with other trunk components, on the other, are essential to providing the user with a satisfactory impression of quality.
[0005] Document WO 2014 / 198721 describes a support device for a motor vehicle boot panel according to the preamble of claim 1, comprising a front post and a rear post, the rear post comprising means for guiding the boot panel in translation.
[0006] Document WO 2021 / 259531 describes a system for fixing a loading floor in a motor vehicle, comprising a loading floor support and a loading floor having a notch on a lateral edge.
[0007] Thus, there is a need for a solution that facilitates the handling of a false floor while offering a satisfactory adjustment of the latter with the rest of the trunk.
[0008] The present invention aims to overcome the problems described above. In this technical context, one objective of the present invention is to provide lateral support for a floor panel, including guide means to facilitate the movement of the floor panel between two positions.
[0009] To this end, the present invention relates to a lateral support for a floor panel of an automobile trunk according to claim 1, designed to extend along a side trim of the trunk, the lateral support being designed to support, when the support is installed along the trim, the floor panel in at least two distinct positions, including a raised position, the floor panel being of the type having a notch formed on a lateral edge of the panel, the support comprising guide means projecting from the support and designed to guide the movement of the floor panel between two positions by sliding a periphery of the notch on a sliding plane of the guide means, the guide means extending, on the one hand, from a base to an upper edge shaped to extend the floor panel, when the latter is supported in the raised position, and extending, on the other hand, between the sliding plane and an opposite edge, the opposite edge having a concave shape between the base and the upper rim.
[0010] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle trunk according to claim 5, comprising at least one side support according to the invention, each mounted on a side trim of the trunk and a floor panel having at least one notch formed on a lateral edge of the panel, each notch being dimensioned and positioned to cooperate by sliding of a perimeter of the notch with a sliding plane of the guide means, when the panel is moved between two positions, the upper edge extending the floor panel into the space delimited by the perimeter of the notch when the panel is supported in the upper position.
[0011] The invention finally relates to a vehicle according to claim 7, comprising at least one trunk according to the invention.
[0012] Thus, the lateral support according to the invention makes it possible to create a storage box according to the invention comprising a floor panel that can be positioned in at least two distinct positions. The presence of guiding means allows the lateral support according to the invention to facilitate movement, while the upper edge provides, when the floor panel is in the raised position, a satisfactory fit by extending the floor panel into the space delimited by the perimeter of the notch, the concave shape of the opposite edge allowing the floor panel to move around the raised position.
[0013] According to one embodiment of the support according to the invention, the support extends from a front end, designed to be positioned in the trunk near passenger seats, and a rear end, designed to be positioned in the trunk near a rear panel of the trunk, the sliding plane being provided between the front end and the opposite edge.
[0014] Advantageously, the front end has a plurality of bearing surfaces designed to support the floor panel, each bearing surface corresponding to a distinct position of the floor panel in the trunk.
[0015] According to one possibility, the sliding plane extends the upper edge to form a continuous sliding surface.
[0016] According to one possibility of the chest according to the invention, the upper rim occupies at least 50% of the space delimited by the perimeter of a notch, preferably at least 80%.
[0017] The invention will be better understood upon reading the detailed description that follows, given solely by way of non-limiting example and made with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: [ Fig. 1 ] there figure 1 , represents a perspective view of a chest according to the invention showing a floor panel supported by two lateral supports according to the invention; Fig. 2 ] there figure 2 , represents a schematic view of a lateral support according to the invention supporting the floor panel in the raised position; [ Fig. 3 ] there figure 3 , represents a schematic view of the lateral support of the figure 2 with the floor panel being moved from the upper position to a lower position; Fig. 4 ] there figure 4 , represents a schematic view of the lateral support of the figure 2 supporting the floor panel in the lowered position; [ Fig. 5 ] there figure 5 , represents a view from the trunk of the side support of the figure 2 when the floor panel is in the raised position.
[0018] In these figures, the same references are used to designate the same elements.
[0019] A lateral support 1 according to the invention, illustrated in the figures, allows a floor panel 2, illustrated in the figures, to be supported by a car trunk 3, illustrated in the figure 1 The lateral support 1 is designed to extend along a side trim 4 of the trunk 3, illustrated on the figure 1 The trunk 3 according to the invention comprises the floor panel 2 and two lateral supports 1, each fixed to a left or right side trim panel 4. The lateral supports 1 are mirror images of each other, depending on whether they are intended to be installed on the left or right side of the trunk 3. As illustrated in the figures, the lateral support 1 extends from a front end 5, designed to be positioned in the trunk 3 near passenger seats 6, and a rear end 7, designed to be positioned in the trunk 3 near a rear panel 8 of the trunk 3. The lateral support 1 is designed to support, when the support 1 is installed along the trim panel 4, the floor panel 2 in at least two distinct positions, as illustrated in the figures. figures 2 And 4 , including a high position, illustrated on the figure 2 .
[0020] The front end 5 has a plurality of bearing surfaces 9 designed to support the floor panel 2, each bearing surface 9 corresponding to a distinct position of the floor panel 2 in the trunk 3. The lateral support 1 is, for example, made by molding plastic material.
[0021] To cooperate with the lateral support 1, the floor panel 2 has a notch 10 formed on a lateral edge 11 of the floor panel 2. As illustrated in the figure 1 , the floor panel 2 thus has two rectangular notches 10, each located near the middle of each lateral edge 11 and each delimiting a space 12.
[0022] The lateral support 1 includes guide means 13 projecting from the support 1 and designed to guide the movement of the floor panel 2 between two positions by sliding a perimeter 14 of the notch 10 on a sliding plane 15 of the guide means 13. Thus, in the box 3 according to the invention, to allow the panel 2 to slide between two positions on the guide means 13, each notch 10 is dimensioned and positioned to cooperate by sliding each perimeter 14 of each notch 10 with a sliding plane 15, as illustrated in the figure 3 .
[0023] The guide means 13 extend, on the one hand, from a base 16 to an upper edge 17, illustrated in the figures, shaped to extend the floor panel 2 when the latter is supported in the raised position. The guide means 13 extend, on the other hand, between the sliding plane 15 and an opposite edge 18, the opposite edge 18 having a concave shape between the base 16 and the upper edge 17. As illustrated in the figures, the sliding plane 15 is provided between the front end 5 and the opposite edge 18. Advantageously, the sliding plane 15 extends the upper edge 17 to form a continuous sliding surface 19.
[0024] Finally, the lateral support 1 includes a support plane 20 arranged in line with the base 16 and allowing the floor panel 2 to take support during its changes of position.
[0025] As illustrated on the figure 5 The upper edge 17 occupies at least 50% of the space 12 delimited by the perimeter 14 of a notch 10, preferably at least 80%. Thus, when the floor panel 2 is positioned in the raised position, the upper edge 17 fills the space 12 left between the perimeter 14 of the notch 10 so that the user perceives a continuous floor surface.
[0026] When floor panel 2 is positioned in the lowered position, as illustrated in the figure 4The transition from this position to the upper position is achieved by sliding the floor panel 2 along a support plane 20, as explained previously, while the rim 14 of the notch 10 rests on the sliding plane 15. The concave shape of the opposite edge 18 allows the notch 10 to pass when the panel 2 is inclined relative to the upper edge 17. The size of the notch 10 must be chosen to allow sufficient clearance for the rim 14 of the notch 10 to pass over the upper edge 17 when the floor panel 2 is inclined. Conversely, when the floor panel 2 is moved from the upper position to the lower position, the rim 14 of the notch 10 may come into contact with the opposite edge 18.For this purpose the concave shape of the opposite edge 18 makes it possible to avoid the blocking of the panel 2 during the transitions between two positions while maintaining dimensions of the notch 10 sufficient for the upper edge 17 to sufficiently occupy the space 12.
[0027] In the example illustrated in the figures, the opposite edge 18 has three inclined faces 21 forming a recess 22 on the opposite edge 18, so as to make the opposite edge 18 concave and to reduce the minimum width of the guiding means 13 measured between the sliding plane 15 and the opposite edge 18.
[0028] Thus, the lateral support 1 according to the invention, thanks to the guiding means 13, facilitates the movement of the floor panel 2 between the upper position and another position. The upper edge 17 extends the floor panel 2 and provides an optimized adjustment of the floor panel 2 with each lateral support 1. The concave shape of the opposite edge 18 allows movement around the upper position of the floor panel 2.
[0029] The invention is not limited to the embodiment of the lateral support described above, only by way of example, but other embodiments can be devised by a person skilled in the art without departing from the scope and extent of the present invention.
