Description

[0001] The invention relates to a plastic closure of a tubular outlet nozzle of a container with a closure cap which is detachably fastened to the nozzle in particular via a thread, wherein the cap is permanently connected to the nozzle via a retaining band, wherein, with a vertical nozzle axis, the retaining band is fastened to the nozzle with a first lower end and from there runs upwards with a first band region laterally of the closure cap, and when the closure cap is closed has a bend in the upper region in order to run downwards again with a second band region to its second lower end, which is fixed to the closure cap.

[0002] Such a closure is known from WO 99 / 65791 A1. Publications WO 98 / 45190 A1, US 7 591 398 B2, EP 1 953 093 A1, JP 2006 335416 A, WO 2004 / 108554 A1, EP 0 810 952 B1, and US 2008 / 197135 A1 disclose further closure caps with a retaining band.

[0003] It is known to attach a closure cap to the screw neck of a container using a retaining band, ensuring that the cap remains inseparably attached to the container even when the cap is unscrewed and the liquid can be removed from the container (EP 0 810 952 B1). This ensures that the cap, when screwed on, does not move away from the container and does not pollute the environment. However, the short retaining band only allows a small angle of rotation for unscrewing.

[0004] The object of the invention is to improve a closure of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that, with simple construction and handling, a secure hold of the screwed-on cap on the container is ensured even if the thread between the cap and the outlet nozzle has a larger angle of rotation.

[0005] This problem is solved by the features of claim 1.

[0006] Such a design results in a longer retaining band, allowing the thread to rotate at a large angle to open the cap. This makes manufacturing, construction, and handling particularly simple.

[0007] According to the invention, it is provided that the two band regions run parallel to each other with a large part of their lengths and that the two band regions run parallel to the nozzle axis with a part of their lengths.

[0008] Any desired angle of rotation can be achieved if the first end of the retaining band connected to the nozzle is fixed to a ring that is coaxial to the nozzle axis and rotatably mounted on the nozzle, so that the ring rotates along with the cap.

[0009] The first opening of the lock can be displayed if the retaining strap is connected to the cap between its ends via at least one tearable web, if the two strap areas are connected to each other by at least one tearable web, if the strap is connected to the cap or a cap gripping surface via a tearable web.

[0010] A particularly secure hold of the cap on the container is achieved if a retaining strap is arranged diametrically opposite each other on both sides of the cap.

[0011] A slight opening rotation of the cap is necessary if the cap is attached to the nozzle via a bayonet connection (bayonet connection) and if the thread between the cap and the nozzle is so steep that the cap comes off the nozzle after just one rotation of the cap by 90 to 180 degrees.

[0012] The cap is easy to grip if the cap has wing-shaped gripping surfaces protruding from the sides at its upper end.

[0013] When the cap is closed, the retaining strap is in a protected position because, when closed, its upper, bent portion nestles against the underside of the wing-shaped grip surface. A protected and visually appealing position of the retaining strap is achieved when the retaining strap conforms to the outer contour of the cap. For this purpose, it is also suggested that one or both portions of the retaining strap be inserted into an outward-opening recess or groove in the cap.

[0014] It is preferably proposed that for bag packaging, a boat-shaped weld-in part is formed onto the lower end of the nozzle.

[0015] Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings of Figures 1 and 2 and are described in more detail below. Figures 3 and 4 show embodiments not covered by the invention. Fig. 1 shows a first embodiment according to the invention with a closed cap with grip wings and a retaining strap, Fig. 2 shows the first embodiment according to the invention with an open cap with grip wings and a retaining strap, Fig. 3 shows a second embodiment not according to the invention with a closed cap without grip wings and two retaining straps, Fig. 4 shows the second embodiment not according to the invention with an open cap without grip wings and two retaining straps.

[0016] A plastic container for holding liquids has a vertically upwardly projecting cylindrical outlet nozzle 1 with an external thread 3 on its top. A closure cap 2 with its internal thread is screwed onto the outlet nozzle, closing the upper opening of the tubular nozzle 1. At the upper end, two wing-shaped gripping surfaces 2a, 2b are formed on the plastic cap 2, which project beyond the cap on diametrically opposite sides.

[0017] In the execution according to Fig. 1 and 2 The cap 2 is connected to the nozzle 1 via a retaining band 4. For this purpose, the retaining band has two superimposed, mutually parallel band areas 4a, 4b, of which the lower end of the first band area 4a is fastened to the nozzle 1, in particular to a ring 5, which is rotatably mounted on the nozzle coaxially to the nozzle axis 8. At the upper end of the first band area 4a, the second band area 4b is fastened or formed via a bend (bending point) 4c, the lower end of which is fixed to the cap 2, as shown in FIG. Fig. 1 with the cap screwed on and the closure closed.

[0018] Thus, the two band areas 4a, 4b form when the cap 2 ( Fig. 1) a vertically upwardly projecting loop with two band regions 4a, 4b which run parallel to one another over most of their length and which also run parallel to the nozzle axis 8. In the closed state, the retaining band 4 nestles with its upper bent region 4c against the underside of the wing-shaped gripping surface 2a, 2b, whereby the gripping surface 2b has a recess on its underside into which the bend 4c projects. The retaining band 4 thus nestles against the outside of the cap 2. In an embodiment not shown, one band region 4b or both band regions 4a, 4b of the retaining band lie in an outwardly opening recess or groove in the cap 2, so that the retaining band is protected against damage.

[0019] To detect whether the closure has ever been opened, the closure has a guarantee function. For this purpose, either the retaining band 4 is connected to the cap 2 between its ends via at least one tearable web, or the retaining band is connected to the cap or a cap grip surface 2b via a tearable web 6, or the two band regions 4a, 4b are connected to one another by at least one tearable web 7.

[0020] The Fig. 3 and 4 The non-inventive embodiment shown differs from that shown in Fig. 1 and 2 This is achieved by attaching a vertically arranged retaining strap 4 with two superimposed strap sections 4a, 4b to each of the diametrically opposite sides of the nozzle 1 and the cap 2. This ensures that the cap 2 is held even more securely and captively to the outlet nozzle 1. Furthermore, in this design, the cap does not have a protruding gripping surface.

[0021] In further embodiments not shown, the cap 2 is connected to the nozzle 1 not via a thread, but by a bayonet connection (bayonet connection). Furthermore, a boat-shaped weld-in part 7 can be formed onto the lower end of the nozzle 1 for bag packaging.
