Description

[0001] The invention relates to a winding machine for winding a thread into bobbins according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] In the production of synthetic fibers, the fiber produced from a polymer melt is wound onto a spool after drawing and treatment. The spool serves to store the fiber and is then fed into a further processing stage. To ensure that extrusion and fiber production in the melt spinning process can proceed continuously, the fiber is wound onto the spools without significant interruption. This is achieved using winding machines that have two winding spindles projecting from a rotatably mounted winding turret. By rotating the winding turret, the winding spindles can be alternately moved into an operating area and a changeover area. In the operating area, the fiber is wound onto the respective winding spindle to form the spool. Once the spool reaches a predefined final diameter, the winding spindle with the full spool is moved into the changeover area.In this situation, the thread is wound around the circumference of the full bobbin into a final winding and then caught and severed by the winding spindle held in the operating area. The thread is then wound into a new bobbin in the operating area.

[0003] The full spool, held in the changeover area, is removed from the spool spindle after the spindle has slowed down and fed into a further processing step. Any loose thread end that forms at the end winding must remain as close to the circumference of the full spool as possible to prevent unwanted unwinding during removal of the full spool from the spool spindles and during transport.

[0004] In order to fix the loose thread end on the full bobbin directly to the circumference of the full bobbin during a bobbin change, a winding machine of this type is known from DE 44 13 885 A1, in which an auxiliary device is assigned to the winding spindles, which has a nozzle for wetting the thread with a water or a preparation medium. During a bobbin change, the nozzle is guided to the thread wound as the final winding. The thread is then wetted before being severed in order to achieve as much adhesion of the thread to the circumference of the full bobbin as possible. To assist this, the auxiliary device can optionally have a pressure roller that is placed on the circumference of the full bobbin. However, it has been shown that only an insufficient amount of fluid can be applied to the circumference of the full bobbin. In addition, the film of fluid applied to the circumference of a pressure roller leads to very superficial wetting of the final winding. This meant that only short-term adhesion of the loose thread end to the full spool could be achieved.

[0005] EP 0 544 614 B1 discloses an embodiment in which an application device is designed in the form of a stamp. For this purpose, the stamp is slidably mounted in a guide and has an absorbent sponge at its front end. The sponge extends into the interior of the stamp, in which a chamber is provided for receiving the adhesive. The operating principle is such that the sponge becomes saturated with the adhesive. The sponge is then placed with slight pressure onto the last turn of the coil, causing it to release adhesive to the adjacent turn and thus crosslink.

[0006] DE 175 013 C describes how an outer end of the final winding, protruding from a spool, can be laid against the final winding using brushes. The thread end is then held together on the spool with adhesive.

[0007] It is therefore an object of the invention to further develop the generic winding machine for winding a thread into spools in such a way that intensive wetting of the final winding and the loose thread end on the circumference of the full spool becomes possible during a spool change.

[0008] This problem is solved according to the invention by the fact that the auxiliary device has a means cooperating with the fluid dispenser with a shape-variable discharge area, wherein the discharge area wetted with a fluid can be guided on the circumference of the final winding of the full coil.

[0009] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are defined by the features and combinations of features of the dependent claims.

[0010] The invention has the particular advantage that the final winding, created with parallel windings, is particularly intensively wettable. Due to the shape variability, and in particular the flexibility of the delivery area, contact is optimally adapted to the surface structure of the full coil, so that the delivery area wetted with a fluid applies the fluid evenly. Furthermore, compressive loads and thus mechanical impairments at the circumference of the full coil are avoided. The flexibility of the delivery area prevents any compressive loads from occurring at the circumference of the full coil.

[0011] To cover as much of the circumference of the full spool as possible where the loose thread end is to be held, a preferred embodiment of the invention features a dispensing area that is flat towards one contact side and has a width at least three times its thickness. This allows for a relatively large contact zone for applying the fluid around the circumference of the full spool.

[0012] It has proven advantageous if the shape-variable dispensing area has a large number of dispensing elements, which are preferably each independently shaped and variable.

[0013] A brush is particularly preferred as the means with a shape-variable dispensing area. In a further particularly preferred embodiment, each dispensing element of the plurality of dispensing elements is designed as a bristle or as a flexible strip. The fluid is applied by the brush via a plurality of bristles, which are preferably formed from horsehair.

[0014] To apply a fluid through the brush, the fluid dispenser is connected to the medium, preferably the brush, via a hose. In an unclaimed embodiment, an open end of the hose is connected to the medium. This allows the fluid to be continuously supplied directly to the dispensing area, even when in contact with the full coil.

[0015] The design according to the invention has proven particularly effective, in which the hose end of the hose line opens into a pipe section closed on one side, and in which the pipe section extends transversely to the medium, in particular the brush, and has several outlet holes on a long side facing the brush. This ensures a uniform supply of fluid across the entire width, in particular the brush width.

[0016] In order not to impede the movement of the spool spindle and the winding of the thread, a further development of the invention is provided in which a bristle holder of the brush is attached to a carrier, and in which the carrier can be guided between a rest position and an operating position by a pivoting arm. Thus, the brush can be moved into the operating position only when needed to wet a full spool.

[0017] Particularly advantageous in this regard is the development of the invention in which the pivoting arm can be positioned by a controllable motion actuator such that the means, in particular the brush, is held on the circumference of the full bobbin until the full bobbin has come to a standstill on the circumference of the winding spindle. This simultaneously allows the contact of the delivery area and the means to brake the full bobbin, while ensuring that the loose thread end is guided through the delivery area, in particular the brush, into the final winding. This allows the loose thread end to be guided even into the gaps in the final winding.

[0018] To ensure a controlled supply of fluid for wetting the final winding and thread, the fluid dispenser features a metering pump connected to the hose, allowing fluid to be delivered intermittently. This enables the fluid to be supplied as needed.

[0019] Since such winding machines are preferably used for winding multiple threads whose spools are held one after the other on the winding spindles, a further development of the invention is preferably implemented in which the winding spindles are assigned several winding points for winding multiple threads to a spool, and in which several means, in particular brushes, are assigned to the winding points, which are connected together with the fluid dispenser. This makes it possible to wet a plurality of full spools on one of the winding spindles in order to guide their loose thread ends to the final windings.

[0020] For this purpose, the carrier is aligned parallel to the spool spindles and holds several holders arranged at a distance from each other, in particular bristle holders of the brushes.

[0021] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an embodiment of the winding machine according to the invention and the accompanying figures.

[0022] They represent Figure 1 schematically shows a front view of an embodiment of the winding machine according to the invention, Figure 2 schematically shows a side view of the embodiment. Figure 1 Figure 3 schematically shows a top view of an unclaimed embodiment of the auxiliary device of the exemplary embodiment. Figure 1 and 2 Figure 4 schematically shows a section of a side view with the auxiliary device according to the invention for the embodiments according to Figure 1 and 2 .

[0023] In the Figure 1 and 2 an embodiment of the winding machines according to the invention for continuously winding a thread into bobbins is shown in several views. Figure 1 shows the embodiment schematically in a front view and in Figure 2The exemplary embodiment is shown schematically in a side view. Unless explicit reference is made to one of the figures, the following description applies to both figures.

[0024] The illustrated embodiment of the winding machine according to the invention has a winding turret 2 which carries two cantilevered winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2. The winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2 are arranged on the winding turret 2 offset from each other by 180°. Two spindle motors 7.1 and 7.2 are assigned to the winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2 on a rear side of the winding turret 2. The winding turret 2 is rotatably mounted in a machine frame 1 and coupled to a turret drive 10. By means of the turret drive 10, the winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2 can be alternately pivoted by the winding turret 2 into an operating range and a changeover range.

[0025] In this operating range, the winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2 interact alternately with a pressure roller 5 and a winding station. In this exemplary embodiment, a total of three winding stations 4.1 to 4.3 are arranged next to one another in a machine frame 1. The winding stations 4.1 to 4.3 are identical, so that the winding station 4.1 is described in more detail in the following description.

[0026] The winding station 4.1 has a changing device 8, which is arranged upstream of a head thread guide 11 for feeding a thread 12 in the thread path. Between the changing device 8 and the spool spindles 3.1 and 3.2, the pressure roller 5 is rotatably mounted on a roller carrier 6. The roller carrier 6 is pivotally coupled to the machine frame 1.

[0027] In order to lay the thread 12 in the winding station 4.1 on the circumference of a bobbin 13, the traversing device 8 has traversing means (not shown in detail here) for guiding the thread 12 back and forth. For this purpose, the traversing device 8 is coupled to a traversing drive 9.

[0028] Between the winding spindles 3.1 and 3.2, a changing device 14 is provided on the machine frame 1, through which the thread of the winding station 1 as well as the adjacent threads of the winding stations 4.2 and 4.3 are guided and cut during a bobbin change. Figure 1 and 2In the situation shown, the bobbin change is carried out between the bobbin spindles 3.1 and 3.2, so that the bobbin spindle 3.1 is in the changeover area with several full bobbins 13, and the bobbin spindle 3.2 is in the operating area for winding new bobbins. The changeover device 14 is pivoted between the bobbin spindles 3.1 and 3.2 and has already severed the thread, so that a loose thread end 31 forms on the full bobbins 13. Such changeover devices 14 are generally known and are described, for example, in DE 102009007759 A1. In this respect, reference is made to the cited document at this point, and no further explanation is given.

[0029] In addition to the changing device 14, an auxiliary device 15 is provided, which is held laterally on the machine frame 1.

[0030] To explain aid facility 15, in addition to the Figure 3 Reference is made to the Figure 3The auxiliary device 15 is shown schematically in a top view. Unless otherwise specified, the following description applies to all figures.

[0031] The auxiliary device 15 has a support 18 that extends parallel to the spool spindles 3.1 and 3.2. The support 18 is held on a swivel arm 17, which can be moved back and forth between a rest position and an operating position by a motion actuator 16. The swivel arm 17 is pivotally mounted on the machine frame 1. In the illustration of Figure 1 and 2 The swivel arm 17 is in an operating position with the support 18.

[0032] In the exemplary embodiment, the means with a shape-variable dispensing area is a brush 19. Here, the bristles 22 of the brush form the shape-variable dispensing area.

[0033] As can be seen from the illustration in Figure 3As can be seen, several brushes 19 are held at intervals on the carrier 18. For this purpose, a bristle holder 21 of each brush 19 is attached to the carrier 18. The brushes 19 on the carrier 18 have a flat contact surface 30, with a brush width being at least three times the brush thickness.

[0034] Each brush 19 is associated with a fluid dispenser 20. The fluid dispenser 20 is connected to each brush 19 via a hose 23. In this unclaimed embodiment, the hoses 23 have an open end 24, which terminates directly at the bristle holder 21 and is associated with the contact surfaces 30 of the brushes 19. The hoses 23 are connected to a metering pump 27, which is connected to a fluid reservoir 28 on one suction side. The metering pump 27 can be controlled by a control unit (not shown) such that a fluid, preferably water, can be supplied to the brushes 19 at intervals via the hoses 23.

[0035] As can be seen from the illustration in Figure 1 and 2As can be seen, in the winding stations 4.1 to 4.3 the respective brush 19 is guided to the circumference of the full bobbin, which is held in the change area by the winding spindle 3.1. After the thread has been separated between the winding spindles 3.2 and 3.1, the brush 19 is guided with its contact side 30 to the circumference of the full bobbin 13 and supplied with a fluid via the fluid dispenser 20. In this situation, the brush 19 is held with its contact side 30 on the circumference of the full bobbin in the area of a final winding 29, in which the loose thread end 31 is located. Only after the winding spindle 3.1 with the full bobbins 13 has been braked, is the brush 19 returned to its rest position by pivoting the pivot arm 17. The full bobbins 13 are now ready to be pulled off the winding spindle 3.1.

[0036] In order to ensure a more uniform fluid supply, particularly in the area of the contact side 30, across the entire brush width of the brush 19, the following is to be done in Figure 4An embodiment of the auxiliary device 15 according to the invention is shown. Figure 4 Only a section of a front view of the auxiliary device 15 is shown. In the illustration of Figure 4 The brush 19 is shown with a plurality of bristles 22. The bristles 22 are held in a planar arrangement by the bristle holder 21 such that a brush width B is at least three times greater than a brush thickness D. The brush width B and the brush thickness D are in the Figure 4The bristle holder 21 is shown schematically. It is held on the support 18. A pipe section 25, closed at one end, is arranged above the bristle holder 21. The hose 23 is connected to the opposite end. The hose 23 connects the pipe section 25 to the fluid dispenser (not shown). On one side facing the brush 19, the pipe section 25 has several outlet bores 26. The pipe section 25 is arranged such that a fluid jet exiting each outlet bore 26 strikes the bristles 22 of the bristle holder 21 directly. This ensures uniform wetting, particularly of the contact side 30 of the brush 19. The contact side 30 is directly adjacent to the outlet bores 26.

[0037] The invention is illustrated by an embodiment of the winding machine in which three winding stations are provided for winding threads. In principle, the invention is not limited to a specific number of winding stations. Thus, the invention is suitable for winding machines with one winding station as well as for winding machines with a plurality of winding stations. The essential feature is that the fluid application for fixing a loose thread end to the circumference of the full spool is carried out by a brush. List of reference symbols
