Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a locking assembly of a door of a cold storage room according to the preamble of claim 1 or 2.
[0002] For temperature control rooms that maintain a constant temperature in their interior compared to the outside environment, for example cold storage rooms, there are essentially two types of locking assemblies.
[0003] The first type of locking assembly has a pull handle on the outside and a push handle on the inside. The door leaf usually houses a bolt connecting both handles. This bolt, via a separate mechanism, can retract a spring-loaded latch. When extended, the latch engages behind a strike plate to hold the door closed.
[0004] The second type of locking assembly is commonly referred to as a rotary push-fit lock. On both the inside and outside of the door, there is a rotatably mounted handle, with both handles connected by a bolt that passes through the door leaf. On the inside, a locking bolt is coupled to the rotary handle. In the closed position, this bolt engages a strike plate and is moved to the open position by turning the door handle along the axis of rotation defined by the connecting bolt.
[0005] When the door is locked by turning the handle, the locking bolt is moved behind the strike plate, pressing the door leaf against a seal. The handles are therefore subjected to comparatively high torques both when opening and, in particular, when closing the door. Furthermore, the handles experience a tensile or compressive force to pivot the temperature control room door into the open or closed position. Typical locking assemblies are disclosed, for example, in DE 10 2020 133 557 A1 and DE 10 2021 102 245 A1.
[0006] Prior art EP 0 374 351 A1 discloses a box lock for a sliding door, which features a bolt that swings out from the box lock. The engagement depth of the swing bolt in the strike plate on the door frame side is adjustable via a sliding seat of the bolt on a pin.
[0007] GB 1 444 555 A discloses a locking set in which the operating handle is designed to pivot about an axis parallel to the door leaf. The bolt element is directly coupled to the operating handle and its position can be adjusted via a thread.
[0008] Also of a different type is the box lock disclosed in FR 2 691 497 A, in which a slidingly mounted locking bolt is arranged on the axis of an adjusting element. The position of the locking bolt can be adjusted by means of the adjusting element.
[0009] Temperature control rooms are typically assembled from prefabricated components on site. These components typically consist of a metal support frame filled with insulating foam. The wall elements are often provided with tongue-and-groove structures at their joining surfaces, which interlock. This significantly simplifies assembly. The doors for temperature control rooms are installed on-site into appropriately prepared wall elements. The door hardware, including the locking assembly, is attached to the door panel on-site, adapted to the specific installation situation. For this purpose, the assembly personnel drill the appropriate holes and cutouts in the door panel and the associated wall elements on-site. After dismantling the door, it is adjusted within the door frame and aligned with the existing seals.Put simply, the door is moved along the X, Y, and Z axes of a geometric coordinate system by manipulating, in particular, the door hinges. The horizontal adjustment range along the X-axis is limited by the engagement of the locking mechanism with the strike plate.
[0010] The object of the invention is to improve the adjustability of the door of a cold room and in particular to enable a larger horizontal adjustment range.
[0011] The invention is solved by a locking assembly of a cold storage door having the features of claim 1 or the features of claim 2, in particular with the respective identical characterizing features, wherein the anchor section of the bolt component can assume different mounting positions in the base, in particular being radially displaceable in the base with respect to the actuation axis, and the radial projection of the bolt section relative to the base varies depending on the mounting position of the anchor section.
[0012] In its locked position, the locking component in the locking assembly according to the invention or in typical installation situations is aligned horizontally and engages behind a striking plate which is arranged on a vertical strut of the door frame. Due to the movable mounting of the anchor section of the locking component in the base, the locking component, in particular its locking section, can be pulled out of the base or pushed into the base. A horizontal change in the position of the door due to adjustment work, which changes the distance between the locking component and the striking plate, can be compensated for in this way. A secure engagement of the locking component and striking plate is thus always guaranteed, regardless of the required door adjustment. If the door is moved towards the frame part closest to the hinge during adjustment work, the locking component is pulled out of the base and fastened in the thus changed installation position. If the door needs to be moved in the opposite direction, i.e., toward the strike plate, during adjustment work, the locking component can be pushed into the base and secured in this new mounting position. This compensates for the horizontal movement of the door during adjustment work by a corresponding countermovement of the locking component in the base.
[0013] It is obvious that the locking assembly according to the invention not only compensates for horizontal movement during adjustment work. Dimensional and manufacturing tolerances can also be compensated for by changing the mounting position of the locking component.
[0014] In addition to a continuous adjustment of the mounting position with a force-locking fixation of the locking component in the base, it is also conceivable for the anchor section and the base to have corresponding form-locking elements that interlock in the respective mounting position. A form-locking fixation has the significant advantage of reliably preventing an unintentional change in the position of the locking component, for example, due to collision with objects when entering or exiting the temperature control room.
[0015] The mounting position can be changed particularly easily if the anchor section is provided with axially facing elongated holes through which fastening means for arranging the anchor section in the base pass and along which the anchor section is mounted in the base so that it can be displaced in the radial direction in order to assume different mounting positions.
[0016] Particularly preferred is an embodiment in which the radially outer end of the locking portion is provided with a spring-loaded latch, wherein the latch in particular forms the locking portion.
[0017] In the locking assembly with a pull handle, as described above, a locking element with a latch is the usual design. In the locking assembly described above as a rotary-press lock, locking bolts are generally used. These bolts are pivoted about a pivot axis from a horizontal locking position to an open position, in which the engagement between the locking bolt and the strike plate is released. The invention provides that such a locking bolt has a locking section designed as a latch. This makes it possible to easily close a door with a rotary-press lock if the locking bolt is in its locking position when the door is open.
[0018] The invention therefore provides for the use of a locking element whose mounting position can be changed or adjusted both in locking assemblies with a pull handle and in locking assemblies in the form of a rotary-press lock.
[0019] Further advantages of the invention, as well as a better understanding of it, will become apparent from the following description of an exemplary embodiment. The figures show: Figure 1 shows a first exploded view of a locking assembly of the first embodiment with the inner base facing the viewer, Figure 2 shows a second exploded view of a locking assembly of the first embodiment with the outer base facing the viewer, Figure 3 shows a rear view of the outer base according to Fig. 2 with attached handle part, Figure 4 a front view of the outer base Fig. 2with attached handle part, Figure 5 an exploded view of the inner part of the locking assembly of the first embodiment on the front side, Figure 6 the exploded view according to Figure 5 in a rear view. Figure 7 a perspective view of a second embodiment of the invention, Figure 8 a perspective view of the inner base of the second embodiment, Figure 9 an exploded view of the inner base according to Fig. 8 , Figure 10 a top view of the inner base after Fig. 8 , Figure 11 a sectional view of the inner base according to section line AA in Fig. 10 , Figure 12 a top view of the trap of the second embodiment, Figure 13 a bottom view of the anchor section of the second embodiment.
[0020] The invention is illustrated by two embodiments. The first embodiment is shown in the Figures 1 to 6 The second embodiment shows the Figures 7 to 13 .
[0021] In the figures, a locking assembly of the first embodiment is provided with the reference number 10. The Figures 1 and 2 The locking assembly 10, shown in various exploded views, is constructed in two parts. It comprises a first base 11, also referred to as the outer base. Its rear side 12 rests on a door surface, preferably on the outside of the door. It is mounted there for rotation about an actuating axis (B) in the form of a pivot and protrudes from the door surface in the axial direction of the pivot axis D.
[0022] The first base 11 carries a first handle part 13, also referred to as an outside handle, and spaced it from a door leaf (not shown). For this purpose, the first handle part 13 is fixed in the area of the front side of the first base 11, facing away from the rear.
[0023] The first handle part 13 is detachably arranged on the first base 11. For this purpose, the first base 11 has a radially oriented pin 14, which is received by a form-complementary pin receptacle 15 of the first handle part 13. Fastening elements 16, in the form of screws, serve to fasten the first handle part 13 to the pin 14 of the first base 11. The form-complementary reception of the pin 14 in the pin receptacle 15 ensures a reliable torque transmission from the first handle part 13 to the first base 11.
[0024] The first spindle 14 has a first support bolt 17. This support bolt 17 extends axially from the first spindle 14 towards the rear 12 of the first base 11 and bears against the outer circumference of the first base 11. Compressive forces applied to the first handle part 13 in the direction of the door leaf (not shown) or in the direction of the plane spanned by the rear 12 of the first base 11 are absorbed by the first support bolt 17 and reliably transferred to the first base 11. This ensures that the door (not shown) can be closed by applying pressure to the first handle part 13 without damage.
[0025] Finally, the base 11 forms a first, radially directed support surface 18, which corresponds to a first counter-support surface 19 arranged at the end of the handle part 13 near the base. When the door (not shown) is pivoted open, a tensile force is applied to the first handle part 13 away from the plane foamed by the rear side 12 of the first base 11. This tensile force is absorbed, among other things, by the pairing of the first support surface 18 and the first counter-support surface 19 and transferred to the door via the first base 11.
[0026] A first elastomer element 20 is arranged, at least in one embodiment of the first handle part 13 and the first base 11 made of plastic, in a gap between the first support surfaces 18 and 19. This initially allows dimensional tolerances to be compensated, but in particular, damage to the base 11 and / or handle part 13 under tensile forces in the area of the surface pairing of the support surfaces 18 and 19 is avoided.
[0027] The illustrated locking assembly 10 further comprises a second base 41 with a second handle part 43, an inner handle, which is designed essentially analogously to the component arrangement described above.
[0028] Here too, the second base 41 is arranged with its rear side 42 rotatably mounted on a door leaf (not shown) about the geometric axis of rotation D. The second base 41 will also be referred to later as the inner base 41. A second handle part 43, the inner handle, is attached to the second base 41. For this purpose, a second pin 44 also emerges from the second inner base 41, which is seated in a second pin receptacle 45 of the second handle part 43 and is fixed to the second handle part 43 by fastening means 46 in the form of screws. The second pin 44 also forms an axially directed second support bolt 47, which corresponds in design and function to the first support bolt 17.
[0029] A second support surface 48 on the second base 41 corresponds to a second counter-support surface 49 of the second handle part 43 in the manner already described for the first handle part 13, wherein a second elastomer member can also be inserted here in the case of a plastic version.
[0030] The first embodiment of the invention comprises a plastic base 11 / 41 and a plastic handle 13 / 43. If other materials are used, for example, at least one base made of metal, the support bar 17 / 47 can be omitted, provided the stability is sufficient.
[0031] In the first case in the Figures 1 and 2 In the illustrated embodiment of the locking assembly 10, the door leaf (not shown) is penetrated by a driver pin which forms the physical actuation axis B in the form of a rotation axis of the bases 11 and 41 and couples the bases 11 and 41 to one another in a rotationally fixed manner.
[0032] The second base 41 is provided with a radially accessible channel 51 or blind hole 51 in which a locking component R in the form of a locking bolt 52 is received. This particular design of the second base 41 will be discussed in detail later.
[0033] The Figures 3 and 4 show a representation of the base 11 / 41 and the handle 13 / 43 assembled together. As shown in the view of the back 12 / 42 of the base 11 / 41 in Figure 3 shows, the mandrel receptacle 15 / 45 of the handle part 13 / 43 receives the mandrel 14 / 44 in a form-fitting manner, so that a closed, rear surface of the handle part 13 / 43 is formed.
[0034] The front view of the unit consisting of base 11 / 41 and handle part 13 / 43 Figure 4shows the internal structure of the handle part 13 / 43. In the present embodiment, the handle part 13 / 43 is not solid, but rather a hollow body provided with various stiffening webs for force dissipation. These form nodes axially in front of the mandrel 14 / 44, through which the fastening means 16 / 46 (not shown here) are passed to fasten the handle part 13 / 43 to the mandrel 14 / 44.
[0035] An elastomer element 20 / 50 is arranged in a gap between the handle part 13 / 43 and the base 11 / 41 between the support surfaces 18 / 48 and 19 / 49, which absorbs the tilting moments of the handle part 13 / 43 when a door (not shown) is opened and transfers them to the base 11 / 41.
[0036] Finally, it should be noted that the front side of the handle parts 13 / 43 of the locking assembly 10, which are shown as being completely open, is provided with an attachable cover after being attached to the pin 14 / 44 of the base 11 / 41 in order to provide a completely closed front surface.
[0037] The Figures 5 and 6 show an exploded view of the inner base 41 and the inner handle 43 in view of their front side ( Figure 5 or reverse side Figure 6 ).
[0038] The focus here is on the channel 51 and the locking bolt 52 in order to explain in more detail its advantageous design in the sense of the invention.
[0039] As can be seen in particular Figure 5As can be seen, the locking bolt 52 has two elongated holes 53 arranged one behind the other in the radial direction, which are arranged in its anchor section 54. These anchor sections 54 are intended to be inserted into the channel 51. The anchor section 54 is secured there by two fastening bolts 55. The anchor section 54 can be fixed in different mounting positions with regard to its radial insertion depth, whereby the elongated holes 53, via their unspecified end stops, define the maximum insertion depth or the maximum extension position of the anchor section 54 in the channel 51.
[0040] The radial displacement of the anchor section 54 within the channel 51 allows the radial projection of the locking section 56 of the locking bolt 52 to be defined. This ensures that the locking section 56 securely engages behind the striking plate (not shown) in a locking manner, regardless of the material and assembly tolerances.
[0041] In a preferred embodiment, the locking bolt 52 can be provided with a spring-loaded latch at its free end facing away from the inner base 41, in order to be able to engage behind the strike plate even in the closed position when a door is slammed or closed. The locking bolt shown here in Figures 1 and 2 as well as 5 and 6 has a latch receiving space 57 at its free end, which is closed by a plug 58 (see Figures 1 and 2) is closed if a latch is omitted. If, however, a latch is to be installed on the locking bolt 52, it can be inserted into the latch receiving space 57 instead of the sealing plug, so that one and the same locking bolt 52 can be used both with and without a latch. Alternatively, a locking bolt 52 without a latch can be replaced with a locking bolt 52 with a latch.
[0042] The Figure 6It can then be seen that the locking bolt 52 has a positive-locking contour 59 in the region of its anchor section 54, which has a plurality of positive-locking elements of ribs aligned parallel to one another. Within the channel 51 there is a counter-contour into which the positive-locking contour 59 of the locking bolt 52 engages in order to establish a positive connection when the locking bolt 52 is fastened in the selected installation position in the channel 51 and to prevent the locking bolt 52 from being accidentally inserted into the channel 51. In this way, it is ensured that the selected installation position of the locking bolt 52, in particular the radial projection of the locking section 56, is secured with regard to the striking plate after the adjustment has been carried out and the locking function is guaranteed.
[0043] The locking assembly 10 is used to be mounted on a cold storage door. The locking assembly 10 allows the cold storage door to be locked and unlocked, as well as opened and closed. For this purpose, the outer base 11 is fixed to the outside of the door and the inner base 41 to the inside of the door. Both bases 11 / 41 are connected to each other by a drive pin, so that a rotational movement of the outer base 11 results in a rotational movement of the inner base 41 and vice versa. In this way, the locking bolt 52 can be moved from the outside between its open and closed positions.
[0044] The invention advantageously demonstrates the possibility of providing a base 11 / 41 with different handle parts 13 / 43, both with regard to technical requirements and individual design requirements, by detachably arranging the handle parts 13 / 43 on the base 11 / 41.
[0045] Furthermore, the invention demonstrates how the locking component R, in the form of a locking bolt 52, can be positioned variably within the inner base 41 to compensate for manufacturing and assembly tolerances relative to the strike plate. Finally, it has been shown that the same locking bolt 52 can be used to enable both latching and latchless locking mechanisms. It is also conceivable that different locking bolts 52 can be accommodated by the inner base 41.
[0046] All in all, the first embodiment of the invention discloses a modular locking assembly 10 adapted to individual needs and individual assembly and operating situations.
[0047] The Figures 7 to 13 show a second embodiment of the invention. Here, the locking assembly is provided with the cover 110.
[0048] The locking assembly 110 of the second embodiment also includes a first base 111, also referred to as the outer base. The outer base 111 includes a handle part 113, also referred to as the outer handle 113, which represents an actuating handle within the meaning of the claims.
[0049] Part of the locking assembly 110 of the second embodiment is also a second base 141, which is also referred to as the inner base 141 and which carries a second actuating handle in the form of a push handle 143. The push handle 143 is also an actuating handle within the meaning of the claims.
[0050] As can be seen from the overall view Figure 7As can be seen, the outer handle 112 is connected to the push handle 143 by an actuating axis B. In the assembled state, the first base 111 is arranged on the outside of a door (not shown), whereas the second base 141 is arranged on the inside of the door. The actuating axis B passes through the door leaf to connect the outer handle 112 to the push handle 143.
[0051] The second base supports a transom component 152, whose transom section 156 is designed as a transom latch F. In Figure 7 Only the trap F of the bolt component 152 is visible. To remove the bolt trap F from its position in Figure 7To move the bolt in the depicted radially projecting position relative to the base 141 into an open position, the outer handle 112 is pulled axially with respect to the actuating axis B. This induces a corresponding axial movement of the actuating axis B, which moves the bolt latch F into the second base 141 and thus into its open position.
[0052] The Figures 8 Figures 1 to 13 primarily show the inner base 141 and its individual parts. The features of the locking assembly 110 according to the invention will now be discussed with reference to these figures.
[0053] The base 141 has two handle wings 170. These handle wings 170 allow the door to be opened or closed from the inside via the locking assembly 110 according to the invention. Furthermore, in Figure 8 to recognize that the push handle 143 is arranged to be axially displaceable in the inner base 141.
[0054] Figure 9Figure 1 shows an exploded view of the inner base 141. This shows that the actuating axis B extends through the inner base 141 and into the push handle 143. In this embodiment, it is secured there by a hexagonal nut 171. The push handle 143 itself consists of a handle body 172 and a handle cover 173, which is secured to the handle body 172 by screws shown but not further labeled. The handle body 172, located in the inner base 141, is held in its axially extended position by a handle body spring 174. When, as described above, the push handle 143 is moved axially into the inner base 141 to move the locking component 152 into its open position, the handle body spring 174 ensures a counter-movement to its initial position after the push handle 143 has been actuated.
[0055] In the second embodiment of the locking assembly 110, the bolt component 152 initially consists of the aforementioned bolt latch F. This forms a seat 175 for a latch spring element 176. In the locking assembly 110, the bolt latch F serves as the bolt section 156.
[0056] Part of the locking component 152 is also an anchor section 154, which is equipped at its end facing the latch F with two parallel and spaced-apart guide webs 177, which accommodate the latch F between them. A roller element 178 mounted in the anchor section 154 reduces the friction between the anchor section 154 of the locking component 152 and the ejection lug 179 of the push handle 143. Part of the locking component 152 is then an abutment 180, which provides a threaded section for the retaining screw 181 and helps to hold the locking latch F in a selected mounting position.
[0057] Figure 12Figure 1 shows a top view of the bolt latch F. At its end facing the anchor section 154, the bolt latch F is provided with an approximately U-shaped cutout 182. Below the cutout 182, a retaining plate 183 is arranged, the surface of which facing the viewer is provided with a positive-locking contour 159. In the present embodiment, these are applied positive-locking ridges 184. Furthermore, the retaining plate 183 has a through-hole 185, which allows the passage of the retaining screw 181.
[0058] Figure 13shows a view from below of the armature section 154. At its end facing away from the locking latch F, the armature section 154 carries a bearing eye 186 for the roller element 178. The armature section 154 is also equipped with a retaining tongue 187 which extends between the guide webs 177 in the direction of the locking latch F. The surface of the retaining tongue 187 facing the viewer is also provided with a positive-locking contour 159 which corresponds to the positive-locking contour 159 of the locking latch F. Form-locking webs 184 have also been selected here. Finally, the retaining tongue 187 is penetrated by an elongated hole 188 whose longitudinal extent is directed radially with respect to the actuating axis B or parallel to the path of movement of the locking latch F. When assembled, the elongated hole 188 is aligned with the through hole 185 of the bolt latch F.
[0059] Figure 11 shows a sectional view along section line AA in Figure 10. The section is therefore along the path of movement of the locking latch F or along the longitudinal extension of the locking component R. Figure 11 One can first see that the ejection lug 179 of the push handle 143 engages the anchor portion 154 of the locking component R and slides there on the roller element 178. An axial movement of the push handle 143 into the inner base 141 thus leads to a retraction of the locking component R from its control position into an open position.
[0060] However, special attention must be paid to the deadbolt F and its arrangement on the anchor section 154. First, it is evident that the latch spring element 176 is supported on the seat 175 of the latch F on the one hand and on an unspecified wall section of the inner base 141 on the other. When the deadbolt F is retracted into the inner base 141, i.e., when the deadbolt F is moved from its normal position into an open position, the latch spring element 176 is placed under tension and, after reaching the open position, moves the deadbolt F back into the normal position.
[0061] The retaining tongue 187 of the anchor section 154 rests on the retaining plate 183 of the latch F, with the positive-locking contours 159 of both elements facing each other and engaging one another. The abutment 180 supports the retaining plate 183 and provides a thread for the retaining screw 181. In the assembled state, the elongated hole 188 of the retaining tongue 187, the through-hole 185 of the latch F, and the thread of the abutment 180 are aligned. The retaining screw 181 presses the retaining tongue 187 and the retaining plate 183 together with its positive-locking contours, so that when the retaining screw 181 is tightened, relative movement of the latch F and the anchor section 154 of the bolt component R is reliably prevented. However, if the retaining screw 181 is loosened, the locking latch F can be moved radially relative to the anchor section 154 with respect to the actuating axis B, i.e. can be pulled out of the inner base 141 or pushed into it.In this way, the latch bolt F can be adjusted relative to the strike plate (not shown) for optimal engagement.
