Description

Domaine technique

[0001] The field of the present technique is that of providing menstrual products, such as tampons or sanitary napkins. More particularly, the present technique relates to refills of menstrual products for dispensers allowing free access to such menstrual products. Art antérieur

[0002] Some companies, public bodies, or local, regional, or national authorities (faculties, colleges, high schools, university residences, etc.) wish to offer free access, for example in the restrooms of their premises, to health products, particularly menstrual products, in order to combat inequality and the precariousness of women. Indeed, menstrual products can represent a very high cost for some women in great financial difficulty.

[0003] Distributions of these products, in their marketed form (i.e. in the packaging intended for sale) are already being implemented, for example in places dedicated to mutual aid and support, thanks to previously carried out product collections.

[0004] There is also a solution for providing menstrual products in the form of dispensers with, for example, one or two compartments for storing products, which then accumulate in an open compartment allowing free access to the products.

[0005] However, this type of dispenser has at least two significant drawbacks, namely the failure to comply with certain hygiene rules that are essential for this type of product and the lack of ergonomics and practicality for the people responsible for supplying these dispensers. Indeed, these dispensers must be filled, from their upper part, with "loose" products, which is not practical. In addition, the presence of a large number of products in the open compartment, and therefore potential access to several products when taking one for one's own use, poses obvious hygiene problems, not to mention the handling of "loose" products when supplying the dispenser.

[0006] A solution for providing menstrual products, ergonomic for users as well as for the people in charge of their management, and respecting the hygiene constraints linked to this type of product, is described in patent applications WO2021008891 and FR3098970, from the same applicant as the present patent application. This solution provides a dispenser having one or more compartments intended to receive one or more refills comprising, for example, each one of a type of menstrual products (tampons, of different sizes, with or without applicator, sanitary napkins of different sizes), thus facilitating the supply of the dispenser but also the storage of the products. In fact, the staff responsible for supplying a distributor do not have to supply the distributor directly with products, available for example "in bulk" in a bag or a box, but simply have to insert one or more refills, full and closed, into the distributor, then open each refill to make the products available, as described below.

[0007] The advantages of such a dispenser, as well as the associated refills, are described in particular in the aforementioned patent application.

[0008] However, these refills have certain disadvantages, such as fragility due to the base and the upper part (allowing the refills to be filled with products) closing by gluing as well as a lack of ergonomics in assembling the refill.

[0009] There is therefore a need for robust menstrual product refills with optimized assembly. Exposé de l'invention

[0010] The present technique meets this need by proposing a refill for menstrual products, formed by a cardboard cutout (10a, 10b, 10c) having the following elements articulated together by folding lines: four side walls comprising: a first pair of opposite walls, called the front face ( F-av ) and back face ( F-ar ), rectangular in shape, of the same width, the length of said face ( F-av ) front being greater than the length of the rear face ( F-ar ), the face ( F-av ) before presenting, at an upper end, a removable part ( Ouv ) pre-cut according to a predetermined shape for the provision of the products contained in the refill, a second pair of opposite walls, called the first side ( C1 ) and second side ( C2 ) , of the same width, a self-closing bottom, called an automatic bottom, each element of which ( F1, F2, F3, F4 ) is articulated by a fold line ( P1 , P2 , P3, P4 ) respectively at a lower end of each of the four side walls, a first and a second flap ( R1, R2 ) , each articulated by a fold line ( P5, P6 ) respectively in the extension of the upper end of the front and rear faces, a first and a second closing flaps ( V1, V2 ), each articulated by a fold line ( P7, P8 ) respectively in the extension of the upper end of the first and second sides ( C1, C2 ) , the first closing shutter ( V1 ) presenting a tab ( L ) and the second closing flap ( V2 ) having a locking slot ( Fv), the first and second closing shutters ( V1, V2 ) cooperating with each other by inserting the tab ( L ) in the locking slot (Fv) to ensure a reversible locked closure of the refill, at the end opposite the automatic bottom.

[0011] In addition, the first flap ( R 1 ) is articulated by a fold line ( P5 ) to the removable part (Ouv) pre-cut from the front face ( F-av ) .

[0012] Thus, the present technique proposes a new and inventive solution for closing a refill for menstrual products formed from a cardboard cutout, providing a robust and easy-to-assemble refill. To achieve this, the refill comprises four side walls, an automatic bottom and a locked and reversible upper closure. Robustness and hermeticism are notably obtained thanks to the automatic bottom and a superposition of elements forming the locked closure and without the use of a fixing element such as glue, the known disadvantages of which lie in particular in fragility due to gluing imprecisions. In addition, this locked closure is ensured by un tab system inserted into a locking slot, allowing great simplification du assembly process and therefore un saving time and associated costs.

[0013] Furthermore, the locked closure is designed so that the superposition of certain elements does not hinder the descent of the products into the refill during its use, for example by removing one of the layers, in this case the first flap, when opening the refill to make the products available. To achieve this, this first flap is an integral part of the pre-cut removable part provided on the front of the refill, for making the products available.

[0014] According to a particular aspect, the first and second flaps ( R1, R2 ) have a trapezoidal shape whose long length corresponds to the fold line ( P5, P6 ) with the front face (F- av ), respectively back face ( F-ar ), and the width is less than the width of the first and second sides ( C1, C2 ).

[0015] The trapezoidal shape of the flaps allows them not to rub against the sides of the refill when they are brought back towards the inside of the refill when folded to close the upper part. In addition, the width of these two flaps allows them to be superimposed with the other two elements of the reversible closure (the closing flaps) in order to reinforce the robustness of the upper part of the refill once closed.

[0016] According to a particular characteristic, the first and second sides ( C1, C2 ) have a shape composed at a lower end of a rectangle extended by a right triangle at an upper end and where the upper plane connecting the front face ( F-av ) and the back face (F-ar) has an angle less than 90° with the front face ( F-av ).

[0017] This configuration makes it easier to lower the products once the refill is installed in the dispenser, "upside down" compared to the assembly and filling phase of the refill, that is to say, the automatic bottom on top and the reversible locked closure at the bottom. In other words, once installed in the dispenser, the refill has a slope in its lower part allowing the progressive descent of the products as the users take them.

[0018] According to a variant which is not the subject of the present invention, the first flap ( R1 ) is articulated by a fold line ( P5 ) to a portion ( Br ) of the front face ( F-av ), the portion ( Br ) being substantially rectangular in shape with the side opposite the fold line ( P5 ) corresponding to one side of the removable part ( Ouv ) pre-cut from the front face ( F-av ).

[0019] For example, the angle is less than 20°.

[0020] Thus, according to this variant, the pre-cut removable part provided on the front face of the refill for the provision of products is not extended by the first flap but leaves a portion, called the retaining bar, integral with the refill, over the entire width of the front face. This variant is particularly suitable for refills containing small products such as tampons without an applicator. According to this variant, moreover, the "slope" allowing the products to descend is less than that provided for refills containing other types of products, such as tampons with an applicator or towels. Indeed, small products are more mobile in the refill and the retaining bar, as well as the slight slope, make it possible to prevent several products from descending at the same time into the provision compartment as soon as a product is removed.

[0021] Finally, due to this retaining bar, the first flap cannot be removed when opening the refill, once installed in the dispenser. However, the slope is advantageously calculated so that the products are not hindered in their descent by a flap which could accidentally be raised a little inside the refill.

[0022] According to a particular aspect, the cardboard blank (10a, 10b, 10c) is formed in a single piece. The use of a single cardboard blank to form a refill makes it possible to limit gluing when assembling the refill, thus reinforcing the robustness of the refill and the ergonomics of the assembly phase, while reducing costs by limiting the use of fixing elements such as glue.

[0023] For example, the back side ( F-ar ) is articulated with the second side ( C2 ) by a fold line ( P9 ) , the second side (C2 ) is articulated with the front face ( F-av ) by a fold line ( P10 ), the front face ( F-av ) is articulated with the first side ( C1 ) by a fold line ( P11 ) and the free edge of the rear face ( F-ar ) or on the first side ( C1 ) has a fixing flap ( Rf ) articulated by a fold line ( P12 ).

[0024] This arrangement of the different parts of the refill in the cardboard cutout allows in particular the fixing by gluing of the side walls called back face and first side, corresponding in this example to the smallest lengths, thus reducing the fragility potentially caused by this gluing. Presentation of figures

[0025] Other aims, characteristics and advantages of the proposed technique will appear more clearly on reading the following description, given as a simple illustrative example, and not limiting, in relation to the figures, among which: [ Fig 1a ] presents an unfolded view of the cardboard cutout forming a refill, according to a first embodiment of the present technique; [ Fig 1b ] presents an unfolded view of the cardboard cutout forming a refill, according to a second embodiment of the present technique; [ Fig 1c ] shows an unfolded view of the cardboard cutout forming a refill, according to another unclaimed embodiment of the present technique; [ Fig 2 ] shows a view of the cardboard cutout forming the refill according to the figure 1a , flat after gluing the vertical walls and certain elements of the automatic bottom; [ Fig 3a ] shows a perspective view of the front face of a mounted refill; [ Fig 3b ] shows a perspective view of the rear face of a mounted refill; [ Fig 4a ] illustrates a first step in closing a refill; [ Fig 4b ] illustrates a second step in closing a refill; [ Fig 4c ] illustrates a third step in closing a refill; [ Fig 4d ] illustrates a top view of a closed refill; [ Fig 5a ] shows a perspective view of a refill in the use position, according to the first embodiment of the present technique; [ Fig 5b ] shows a perspective view of a refill in the use position, according to the second embodiment of the present technique; [ Fig 5c ] shows a perspective view of a refill in the use position, according to another unclaimed embodiment of the present technique. Description détaillée de modes de réalisation de l'invention

[0026] The general principle of the proposed technique is based on the shape and arrangement of the elements of the cardboard cutout forming a refill, allowing not only to improve the robustness of the refill but also to optimize handling for filling and closing the refill, without the use of a fixing element such as glue or a self-adhesive part.

[0027] To achieve this, it is provided on the one hand with an "automatic bottom" type closure, at one end of the refill, and on the other hand with a reversible locked closure, based on a tab system inserted into a locking slot, at the other end of the refill. These two types of closure are characterized by the absence of the use of a sticky element, which limits handling and the risks of inaccuracy due to a glue-based closure system. In addition, this also allows for a reversible closure, although locked and therefore very reliable, making it possible to open the refill without damage, for example when an error has occurred in the products inserted in the refill, or to ensure the correct number of products inserted in the refill...

[0028] In addition, robustness is achieved on the one hand thanks to the automatic bottom, a technique known to be reliable, robust and easy to implement when assembling the refill, and on the other hand thanks to the superposition of several elements forming the reversible locked closure. However, this superposition should not hinder the use of the refill itself, and therefore not hinder the descent of the menstrual products into the refill for their provision. It is thus provided, according to an alternative embodiment, that an element of the reversible locked closure can be removed when putting the refill into service. This is made possible by integrating this element into the pre-cut part of the refill, intended to be removed once the refill is inserted into the dispenser for the provision of menstrual products. Thus, the main drawbacks noted on current refills, such as the fragility of the two closure zones of the refill and the lack of ergonomics of the assembly, are overcome thanks to the proposed technique.

[0029] Indeed, the absence of gluing during assembly considerably reduces the fragility and closure imperfections due to the use of a gluing technique, which can, for example, allow products to escape during transport and insertion of the refill into a dispenser. In addition, the absence of gluing and the automatic bottom greatly optimize the ergonomics of refill assembly, thus reducing assembly time and the associated cost.

[0030] Finally, the superposition of several elements for the reversible locked closure makes it possible to reinforce the robustness of the refill, particularly when it is full, thus helping to avoid the loss of products during transport or handling of the refill before use.

[0031] THE figures 1a à 1c show an unfolded view of the cardboard cutout (respectively 10a, 10b and 10c) forming a refill, according to three embodiments of the present technique, for different menstrual products, respectively towels, tampons with and without applicator. The three embodiments illustrated in figures 1a à 1c therefore differ from each other on the one hand by the dimensions of the cardboard cutout and the different elements composing it and on the other hand by the positioning of the flap Rf intended to be glued to one of the vertical walls of the refill to obtain a volume refill. The three figures 1a à 1c are therefore not all three described in detail and illustrate non-limiting examples of the proposed technique. figure 1c also illustrates a variant of the first flap R1 forming the reversible closure and the pre-cut removable part Ouv provided on the front face, which are not part of the present invention.

[0032] According to these embodiments, and more particularly the embodiment illustrated by the figure 1a , the cardboard cutout is presented in a single piece 10a, the elements of which are hinged together via folding lines so as to obtain, once assembled, four side walls, a base and an upper closure allowing the filling of the refill with menstrual products, before its storage (if applicable) and transport (then storage again if applicable) to the place of commissioning in an associated dispenser.

[0033] So the four side walls include: a first pair of opposite walls, called the front face F-av and back side F-ar, rectangular in shape, of the same width, and designed so that the length of the face F-av front is greater than the length of the rear face F-ar. This configuration thus provides a slope that facilitates the descent of products into the refill, when it is inserted into the dispenser. In addition, the front face F-av has, at one upper end, a removable part Ouv pre-cut (illustrated with stripes) according to a predetermined shape for the provision of the products contained in the refill. In fact, for its use, the refill is inserted, full of products and closed using the locked closure described below, into the dispenser, then cut at the pre-cut part provided for this purpose, so as to allow the products it contains to come out, as and when needed by the users; a second pair of opposite walls, called the first side C1 and second side C2, of the same width, and having a shape and dimensions adapted to facilitate the descent of the products once the refill is installed in the dispenser thanks to an angle of less than 90° between the front face and the upper plane connecting the front and rear faces.

[0034] According to this embodiment, these four side walls are articulated together by fold lines. P9, P10 And P11, such as: the back side F-ar is articulated with the second side by the fold line P9, the second side C2 is articulated with the front face F-av by the fold line P10, the front face F-av is articulated with the first side C1 by the fold line P11, and the free edge of the first side C1 has an Rf fixing flap hinged by the fold line P12 ; this fixing flap Rf (connected to the free edge of the rear face F-ar in the embodiment illustrated in figure 1b ) allows the fixing by gluing of the rear face and the first side, corresponding in this example to the smallest lengths, thus reducing the fragility potentially caused by this gluing.

[0035] Furthermore, the self-closing bottom, called automatic bottom, comprises four elements F1, F2, F3 AndF4, articulated by the fold lines P1, P2, P3 et P4 at the lower ends of each of the four side walls: the element F1 is articulated by the fold line P1 on the first side C1, the element F2 is articulated by the fold line P2 on the front side F-av, the element F3 is articulated by the fold line P3 on the second side C2 and the element F4 is articulated by the fold line P4 on the front side F-ar. This automatic background corresponds to a technique known in itself (not detailed here) and contributes greatly to the robustness of the recharge.

[0036] The cardboard blank 10a also includes elements intended to form a reversible locked closure opposite the automatic base, once the refill has been filled with the appropriate menstrual products. This reversible locked closure includes in particular the following elements: a first and a second flap R1, R2, respectively in the extension of the upper end of the front and rear faces. The first flap R1 is for example articulated by the fold line P5 on the front side F-av, and more particularly, according to this first embodiment, to the removable part Ouv pre-cut described above. In this way, the first flap R1, contributing to the robustness of the refill during transport, can be removed when using the refill so as not to hinder the descent of the products into the refill during operation. Indeed, when the pre-cut part Ouv is removed for commissioning the recharge, the first flap R1 is also removed. The second flap R2 is articulated by the fold line P6 on the back side F-ar. According to the proposed technique, the first and second flaps R1, R2 have a trapezoidal shape whose dimensions allow them not to rub against the sides of the refill when they are brought back towards the inside of the refill when they are folded to close the upper part of the refill, while providing a superposition surface with the two other elements of the reversible closure described below, so as to reinforce the robustness of the upper part of the refill once closed; a first and a second closing flap V1, V2, respectively in the extension of the upper end of the first and second sides. The first flap V1 is articulated by the fold line P7 on the first side C1 and has a tab L and the second closing shutter V2 is articulated by the fold line P8 on the second side C2 and has a locking slot Fv, so that they cooperate with each other by inserting the tab L in the locking slot Fv to ensure a reversible locked closure of the refill, at the end opposite the automatic bottom. Thus, this closure is ensured without a sticky element, having the effect not only of simplifying the assembly of the refill, but also of reinforcing the robustness of the refill thanks to a locking ensured by the locking slot (a technique known per se and not described here). In addition, a possibility of opening, without damaging the refill, is still ensured thanks to the tab and slot system, which is not the case when a sticky element is used (in general, the cardboard is damaged when two elements are peeled off).

[0037] In addition, the second flap R2 and second part V2are advantageously designed and arranged so as to optimize the shape of the cardboard cutout 10a, and to limit the points of fragility. For example, they have a pre-cut line between them Dec allowing them to be separated when assembling the refill.

[0038] So, a recharge as illustrated on the figures 1a à 1c solves the technical problem of the robustness of the refill, once assembled and filled with menstrual products, and the simplification of its assembly.

[0039] As visible on the Figure 1c , the pre-cut shape Ouv is different from those illustrated on the figures 1a And 1b, so as to adapt to the products intended for the specific refill form that are tampons without applicator having a smaller size than towels or tampons with applicator. This variant is not part of the claimed invention. In particular, this pre-cut form provides a retaining bar Br at the end of the front face, so that the products cannot come out in large numbers from the refill when it is opened once installed in the dispenser. This variant, not claimed, is particularly suitable for tampon-type products without applicators, which are small in size and tend to disperse easily through the opening of the refill, as soon as a product is taken from the provision compartment. To overcome this drawback, in addition to the retaining bar Br,it is intended that the slope of the refill (generally of the order of 45° for other types of products and embodiments of the refill) be less than 20°, and closer to the order of 5°. In this way, the products flow more slowly into the refill and do not accumulate in large numbers in the dispenser's provision compartment. According to this variant, the first flap R1 is therefore not an integral part of the pre-cut part Ouv, due to the retaining bar Br. This does not, however, affect the correct descent of the products into the refill, even if this flap were to accidentally be found slightly raised inside the refill, due to the slight slope provided.

[0040] The dimensions of the refills illustrated on the figures 1a à 1c are the following, given here as simple non-limiting examples: refill 10a: the width of the front and back faces is ten centimeters; the height of the front face is thirty-eight centimeters; the width of the first and second sides is eleven centimeters; the total width of the cutout is approximately forty-eight centimeters and the total height of the cutout is approximately fifty-three centimeters. refill 10b: the width of the front and back faces is sixteen centimeters; the height of the front face is twenty-five centimeters; the width of the first and second sides is eleven centimeters; the total width of the cutout is approximately sixty-six centimeters and the total height of the cutout is approximately forty-five centimeters. 10c refill: the width of the front and back sides is five centimeters; the height of the front side is twenty centimeters; the width of the first and second sides is eleven centimeters; the total width of the cutout is approximately thirty-five centimeters and the total height of the cutout is approximately twenty-eight centimeters.

[0041] There figure 2 illustrates a flattened 10a' refill shape whose side walls have been assembled, for example by gluing the fixing flap Rf on the first side C1 inside the free edge of the back face F-ar, as well as by gluing the elements of the automatic background, according to a known principle and not described here. The shape thus obtained after gluing was flattened (we can in fact see a portion of the first panel V1 with a portion of the tongue L in the back plane, while the front face F-av and the second side are in the foreground), for storage and transport to the assembly and filling workshop of the refill. In this way, part of the assembly of the refill is carried out, for example in the workshop for manufacturing and cutting the cardboard delivering the blank 10a, respectively 10b and 10c (illustrated in figures 1 to 1c), by gluing the side walls and the automatic bottom parts, so as to be able to limit the last assembly steps to the upper closure of the refill, once it has been filled with menstrual products. In addition, this flattened shape allows for optimal transport and storage in terms of space requirements, optimizing logistics.

[0042] THE figure 3a et 3b illustrate, respectively in front view and rear view, an example of mounted refill 11a, by simple deployment of the flattened shape 10a' illustrated in figure 2 . Indeed, a gesture is enough to form the refill, so that the elements of the automatic bottom cooperate to close one end of the refill and thus obtain a refill that stands flat, vertically, on the closed automatic bottom and has an upper opening intended for filling the products. The automatic bottom has the advantage of being flat and therefore of facilitating the filling of the refill, unlike the refills of certain current solutions whose beveled base is first closed by gluing and constitutes the bottom of the refill, so that the products are inserted into an inclined refill, which makes filling more complicated. Indeed, according to the present technique, the bottom can rest on the work surface so that the refill stands vertically during filling, the specific reversible locked closure of the present technique thus being on top of the full refill.

[0043] Once the refill is filled with the appropriate menstrual products, it must be closed to ensure that it is securely closed and reversible, before transporting and / or storing it to the place of use.

[0044] THE figures 4a à 4d illustrate, by means of top views of the refill, different stages of the assembly of the elements ensuring this reversible locked closure of the refill.

[0045] A first step, illustrated in figure 4a , consists of bringing each of the first and second flaps towards the inside of the refill R1 And R2, by folding along the two respective fold lines P5 And P6 , according to the direction of the arrows. A second step, illustrated in figure 4b , then consists of bringing back the second closing shutter V2 (featuring a locking slot) towards the inside of the refill, in the direction of the arrow, over the two flaps R1 And R2.The first closing shutter V1 is then also brought back over the shutter V2, according to the direction of the arrow, during a third step illustrated in figure 4c , and the flap tab V1 is inserted into the shutter locking slot V2. The four elements allowing the reversible locked closure of the refill are therefore superimposed, as illustrated in the figure 4d , so as to ensure a reliable, robust and easy-to-implement closure of the refill once filled with the products. In addition, as already indicated, it is still possible to open the refill without damaging it by carefully removing the tab from the locking slot. However, the particular shapes of the tab and the corresponding locking slot (characteristics known per se) require a specific action to be able to open the refill, while preventing its accidental opening without specific action.

[0046] THE figures 5a à 5c illustrate refills 11a, 11b and 11c (respectively according to the first and second embodiments, and according to a third unclaimed embodiment), obtained by mounting and closing a cardboard cutout according to the proposed technique, in their position of use, i.e. the automatic bottom at the top and the pre-cut part at the bottom for making available the products contained in the refills. These refills are therefore intended to be inserted into a menstrual product dispenser, for example as described in the aforementioned patent application, and more particularly in compartments for receiving these refills.
