Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a furniture fitting for mounting on at least one furniture part, comprising: at least one base body, at least one adjusting part movable relative to the base body, wherein the at least one base body has at least one fastening section with a fastening side which can be placed at least partially against the furniture part during assembly of the furniture fitting on the at least one furniture part, wherein the at least one fastening section has at least one, preferably circular, opening for the passage of a fastening means, preferably a screw.

[0002] EP 2 429 340 B1 shows a furniture fitting in the form of a drawer slide, wherein a base body in the form of a cabinet rail is to be attached to a furniture carcass. The adjusting part is formed by a drawer rail (not shown) which is mounted so as to be movable relative to the stationary cabinet rail. The base body in the form of the cabinet rail has a fastening section with circular openings for the passage of screws through which the cabinet rail can be screwed to the furniture carcass. Other relevant documents are DE 10 2019 111292 A1, DE 20 2009 003459 U1, DE 24 27 811 A1, AT 508 129 A4, WO 2019 / 040954 A1 and DE 10 2010 060583 A1.

[0003] A general problem is the amount of metal required to manufacture furniture fittings. High material usage leads to high weight and increased costs in serial production. It is therefore desirable to use as little metal as possible, especially since resource-efficient use of raw materials brings both ecological and economic benefits.

[0004] One measure to save metal is the use of thin-walled metal sheets, which also advantageously reduces the weight of the furniture fitting. However, when using thin-walled metal sheets, it can happen that the peripheral edge of the opening through which the fastener, particularly a screw, passes becomes damaged during installation of the furniture fitting to the furniture part. The risk of damaging the opening is further increased by using a cordless screwdriver with high torque. Once the peripheral edge of the opening has broken out or become excessively deformed, the screw head will no longer have a hold. The furniture fitting can then only be attached to the furniture part with additional installation effort, or may not be attached at all.

[0005] When using thin-walled metal sheets, there's also no space to countersink the screw head due to the thin wall thickness. In such a case, the screw heads protrude beyond the opening, which not only creates an unsightly appearance but also poses a risk of personal injury and collision with objects.

[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide a furniture fitting of the type mentioned at the outset while avoiding the disadvantages discussed above.

[0007] This is achieved according to the invention by the features of patent claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the present invention are specified in the dependent claims.

[0008] According to the invention, it is provided that the at least one opening on a second side spaced from the fastening side by a material thickness of the fastening section is surrounded by a bead which projects transversely from the second side of the fastening section.

[0009] In other words, the opening on the side of the fastening section facing a screw head is surrounded by a preferably annular bead, which is intended to at least partially accommodate the screw head. The screw head can therefore be countersunk at least partially, preferably substantially completely, within the bead.

[0010] The bead also reinforces the peripheral edge of the opening, meaning the force exerted by the underside of the screw head can be distributed over a larger area. The bead reduces the risk of the screw head sinking into the thin-walled metal of the fastening section. The risk of damage to the peripheral edge of the opening can therefore be reduced.

[0011] If the bead is produced, for example, in the form of an embossed pattern, a corresponding recess is created on the fastening side of the fastening section, into which the chip material protruding from the furniture part can be at least partially accommodated. This also reduces the risk of the chip material penetrating between the fastening side of the fastening section and the furniture part, thus leading to an undesirable spacing of the fastening section from the furniture part.

[0012] Preferred embodiments: the bead is substantially toroidal in cross-section, and / or the fastening section has a material thickness of between 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm, preferably a material thickness of 0.7 mm, and / or the bead is formed integrally with the at least one fastening section, and / or the bead is produced in the at least one fastening section by embossing, and / or the fastening section has at least one stiffening bead, wherein the at least one opening is arranged adjacent to the at least one stiffening bead, and / or the fastening section has at least two stiffening beads spaced apart from one another, wherein the at least one opening is arranged between the at least two stiffening beads.

[0013] Further details and advantages of the present invention will become apparent from the following description of the figures.
