Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sectional door comprising panels that are hingedly connected to each other, said sectional door being provided with a wicket door fitting in a wicket door profile of the sectional door and connected to the sectional door with hinges, wherein the wicket door fits into the wicket door profile with the exterior sides of the wicket door and the sectional door essentially being flush with respect to each other.
[0002] EP 1 876 317 provides an example of such a sectional door, and discloses that the wicket door allows passage through the sectional door without having to move the entire sectional door. The wicket door can be opened and closed manually and can therefore also be actuated if a drive of the sectional door fails. Furthermore, wicket doors can be opened quickly and reliably in emergency situations, which is why sectional doors whose door leaves have a wicket door are particularly suitable for industrial applications and for garages and halls that do not have an additional exit in addition to the sectional door.
[0003] DE 20 2006 003 330, EP 3 051 051 and EP 4 098 836 each disclose a sectional door according to the preamble of claim 1, wherein the wicket door snugly fits into the wicket door profile and the hinges are fitted onto the sectional door and onto the wicket door such that the hinges are free from a visible connection with the wicket door.
[0004] It is a known problem that, generally speaking, wicket doors of the prior art have a limited opening angle which restricts the user in making full use of a wicket door in every feasible situation.
[0005] It is therefore an object of the invention to increase the maximum angle to which the wicket door, which is mounted in a sectional door, can be opened, whilst avoiding the use of usually visible mounting features for the wicket door in the form of cover plates. In particular this requirement to avoid cover plates limits the theoretical options according to which the object to increase the opening angle of the wicket door can be achieved.

[0007] In a first aspect of the invention wherein each hinge comprises a first hinge part mounted on the wicket door, said first hinge part comprising a hinge door leaf part which is connected to a wicket door profile, said wicket door profile is provided with a connecting element which attaches a diabolo shaped locking element to the wicket door profile, and the hinge door leaf part is equipped with a set screw which engages the diabolo shaped locking element so as to clamp the hinge door leaf part and the wicket door profile onto each other.

This makes the accurate mounting of the wicket door in the sectional door an easy task, so as to guarantee s snug fit of the wicket door in the sectional door, whilst maintaining the ability to open the wicket door over a wide angle.

Claims
1. Sectional door (1) comprising panels (2) that are hingedly connected to each other, said sectional door (1) being provided with a wicket door (3) fitting in a wicket door frame (4) of the sectional door (1) and connected to the sectional door (1) with hinges (5), wherein the wicket door (3) snugly fits into the wicket door frame (4) with the exterior sides of the wicket door (3) and the sectional door essentially being flush with respect to each other, and the hinges (5) are fitted onto the sectional door (1) and onto the wicket door (3) such that the hinges (5) are free from a visible connection with the wicket door (3), characterized in that each hinge (5) comprises a first hinge part (5') mounted on the wicket door (3), said first hinge part (5') comprising a hinge door leaf part (6) which is connected to a wicket door profile (7), which wicket door profile (7) is provided with a connecting element (8) which attaches a diabolo shaped locking element (13) to the wicket door profile (7), and the hinge door leaf part (6) is equipped with a set screw (10) which engages the diabolo shaped locking element (13) so as to clamp the hinge door leaf part (6) and the wicket door profile (7) onto each other.
2. Sectional door according to claim 1, characterized in that the connecting element (8) is one element selected from the group comprising a blind rivet, a threaded bush with bolt, a thread-forming parker.
3. Sectional door according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the diabolo shaped locking element (13) fits into an aperture (9) of the hinge door leaf part (6) on a side facing the wicket door profile (7).
4. Sectional door according to any one of claims 1-3, characterized in that the set screw (10) is provided with a forward point (11) engaging an oblique surface (12) of the diabolo shaped locking element (13).
5. Sectional door according to any one of claims 1-4, characterized in that the wicket door profile (7) is provided with a tongue (7') which abuts an upstanding ridge (6') provided on the side of the hinge door leaf part (6) facing the wicket door profile (7).
6. Sectional door according to claim 5, characterized in that the upstanding ridge (6') is provided on the hinge door leaf part(6) distant from the set screw (10).
