Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an intermediate piece for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system. The present invention further relates to a valve piece for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system, as well as a closure system and a liquid container.

[0002] Beverage dispensing systems are used in restaurants, bars, on cruise ships, and in cinemas to make drinks readily available. In particular, soft drinks and fruit juices can be dispensed and usually filled directly into glasses or cups. This filling can be done by the customers or by staff. These systems typically use a syrup or other liquid, which is mixed with water and, if desired, carbon dioxide upon request. Mixing on-site reduces the amount of beverage that needs to be transported. In other words, the drinks are prepared on-site by mixing them with water and, if desired, carbon dioxide, so only the syrup needs to be transported to the point of consumption.

[0003] In this context, liquid pouches are most commonly used as containers, which are then connected to the beverage dispensing system via hoses, where the actual mixing with water takes place. The closure of such containers allows for both efficient filling in a filling machine and efficient dispensing at the beverage dispenser. Closures are widely used in this context, where a fitting is inserted into the container, for example, through an adhesive or welding process. After the container is filled, a valve can be inserted, pressed, or clicked into this fitting, creating a leak-proof connection for transporting the container. The valve then allows connection to the beverage dispensing system. For this purpose, a suitable hose can be attached to the valve using a corresponding connector, whereby the valve is pressed open upon connection.

[0004] The valves are relatively complex to manufacture, as, in addition to producing a base body using injection molding, a plunger and a spring are often required for the valve's function. These components are typically made from different materials and also require assembly. A side effect of this is that disposing of used liquid containers with valves involves sorting through various materials. For example, besides the liquid pouch and an injection-molded part of the valve, both of which can be made of polyethylene, a metal component for the spring and a different plastic for other valve components may also be necessary. Recycling then often requires material separation, which can be very costly and may also lead to violations of legal regulations or voluntary commitments by beverage suppliers.

[0005] DE7615545U1 discloses a drain spout closure for liquid containers, in particular disposable containers for liquids. The closure comprises a closure piece inserted between the drain spout and a union nut, with a closure membrane integrally molded into its through-bore.

[0006] Based on this, the present invention aims to provide an approach for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system that is compatible with existing systems and devices and enables efficient manufacturing as well as efficient disposal or reuse. In particular, it aims to provide an approach that requires no or only minor modifications to installed beverage dispensing systems and established processes at beverage suppliers and users. Furthermore, it aims to simplify the recycling of existing packaging.

[0007] To solve this problem, the present invention relates in one aspect to an intermediate piece for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system, comprising: a lower section for coupling to a connecting piece of the liquid container; and an upper section for coupling to a valve piece, the intermediate piece being designed as a rigid component without moving parts. The upper section is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis, with a diameter smaller than the diameter of a cylindrical receiving area of the valve piece, so that the upper section can be received in the receiving area of the valve piece.

[0008] In another aspect, the present invention relates to a valve piece for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system, comprising: a coupling section for coupling to an intermediate piece as previously described; a connecting section for coupling to the beverage dispensing system; and a valve arrangement for preventing liquid from escaping the liquid container in a closed state of the valve arrangement, wherein the valve arrangement preferably comprises a mounted plunger and a spring, in particular a metal spring, for exerting a force on the plunger.

[0009] Furthermore, one aspect of the present invention relates to a closure system for connecting a liquid container to a beverage dispensing system, with an intermediate piece as described above and a valve piece as described above.

[0010] Finally, one aspect of the invention relates to a liquid container with an intermediate piece or with a closure system as described above.

[0011] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims. It is understood that the features mentioned above and those to be explained below can be used not only in the combinations specified, but also in other combinations or individually, without departing from the scope of the present invention. In particular, the intermediate piece, the valve piece, the closure system, and the liquid container can be designed according to the embodiments described for the intermediate piece and the valve piece in the dependent claims.

[0012] According to the invention, an intermediate piece is used to connect the connector of the liquid container to a valve piece. The valve piece, or the valve itself, is therefore no longer directly connected to the connector of the liquid container, but rather coupled to an intermediate piece. In this respect, the previously two-part assembly consisting of the connector on the liquid container and the valve is replaced by a three-part assembly consisting of the connector on the liquid container, the intermediate piece, and the valve piece. This three-part structure allows for coupling, enabling the valve piece to be reused as a separate component. Because the intermediate piece is designed as a rigid component without moving parts, according to the invention, its disposal is simplified.A rigid component without moving parts is understood to be, in particular, a component that can be manufactured by injection molding without further assembly steps. The intermediate piece does not contain the moving components required for the function of a valve and can therefore be disposed of without disassembly. The resulting waste is thus homogeneous. The valve piece according to the invention can be reused multiple times. For disposal, disassembly can be provided, or disposal as a mixed component with several components made of different materials can be simplified by the fact that, compared to a liquid container with an irreversibly connected valve, the valve piece represents a significantly smaller quantity of material for disposal. The resulting quantity of waste with mixed materials is considerably reduced.

[0013] The intermediate piece according to the invention is essentially composed of two parts: a lower section and an upper section. The lower section serves to couple or connect the intermediate piece to a connecting piece of the liquid container. The resulting connection is preferably a snap-fit connection or an irreversible connection that, once established, cannot be undone without damage. In contrast, the coupling to the valve piece provided in the upper section of the intermediate piece is preferably a reversible connection that can be undone without damage, at least with regard to the valve piece.

[0014] Compared to previous approaches, this method offers advantages in terms of manufacturing complexity, resulting in cost savings. Furthermore, it improves disposal, enabling better compliance with legal regulations and even self-imposed standards by suppliers. In particular, it achieves improved recyclability and thus greater sustainability.

[0015] In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate piece consists of exactly one material, in particular polyethylene. Preferably, the intermediate piece can be manufactured by injection molding. The use of polyethylene enables its use in the food industry. Furthermore, it offers good recyclability. Manufacturing by injection molding allows for efficient production and reduces costs.

[0016] In a preferred embodiment, the upper section is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis, preferably with a diameter smaller than the diameter of a cylindrical receiving area of the valve piece, so that the upper section can be received within the receiving area of the valve piece. The longitudinal axis is, in particular, an axis of symmetry running longitudinally through the lower and upper sections. A cylindrical design allows for easy coupling to corresponding hose coupling systems. It also results in efficient manufacturing. The receiving area of the valve piece can be designed, in particular, for clicking or inserting / locking the upper section of the intermediate piece into place. For example, corresponding projections and recesses on both components can enable a click-in and locking mechanism that cannot be released without damage. This results in efficient manufacturability and efficient usability.

[0017] In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate piece comprises a fastening element arranged in the upper section for reversibly attaching the valve piece to the intermediate piece, preferably by a relative rotation between the valve piece and the intermediate piece, in particular a relative rotation about a longitudinal axis of the intermediate piece. The fastening element is preferably arranged in a region of the upper section adjacent to the lower section. The fastening element allows the valve piece to be detachably attached to the intermediate piece. The valve piece can, for example, be secured to the intermediate piece by a rotational movement. The intermediate piece is typically irreversibly connected to the connecting piece of the liquid container as soon as it is filled. The valve piece can then be secured to the intermediate piece for the purpose of connecting it to the beverage dispensing system. The fastening element itself may, for example, require a relative rotation around a longitudinal axis of the intermediate piece for securing it. A relative rotation allows for easy fastening, thus enabling simple operation by the user.

[0018] In a preferred embodiment, the fastening element comprises a radial projection on the outer circumference of the upper section, designed to interact with a receptacle on the circumference or inner circumference of the valve piece. The projection preferably includes a hook for engaging with a corresponding counter-hook in the valve piece's receptacle. The radial projection on the outer circumference of the upper section interacts with the receptacle to secure the valve piece to the intermediate piece. The radial projection particularly facilitates securing by a relative rotation between the valve piece and the intermediate piece. This can be easily achieved by using a hook that corresponds to a counter-hook. This results in both efficient manufacturability and ease of use.

[0019] In a preferred embodiment, two combinations of fastening element and receptacle, offset by 180° in the circumferential direction, can be provided on the intermediate piece and on the valve piece, respectively. The intermediate piece has two fastening elements, and the valve piece has two receptacles. This results in a stronger coupling and prevents fluid leakage.

[0020] In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate piece comprises a further circumferential radial projection arranged in its lower section. This radial projection is designed to secure the valve piece between the radial projection and the further circumferential radial projection. The circumferential radial projection thus acts as a bearing or stop for the valve piece. The valve piece is clamped between the radial projection and the further circumferential radial projection. This results in efficient manufacturability and ease of use.

[0021] In a preferred embodiment, the lower section is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis, particularly with a diameter smaller than the diameter of a cylindrical receiving area of the connector. The lower section can thus be received in or within the receiving area of the connector. Additionally or alternatively, when coupled, the lower section projects beyond the connector into the liquid container. The cylindrical structure along a longitudinal axis, which again preferably corresponds to a central axis of symmetry passing through the lower and upper sections, facilitates simple manufacturing. Furthermore, ease of use is achieved, as the section can be received regardless of its rotational position. The lower section can be inserted into the receiving area of the connector, resulting in a simple connection. By extending into the liquid container, efficient liquid extraction is ensured, preventing any blockage of the flow.

[0022] In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate piece comprises a circumferential radial projection and / or a circumferential radial recess arranged on the outer circumference of the lower section for coupling to a corresponding recess and / or a corresponding projection on the inner circumference of the receiving area of the connector. The interaction between the projection and recess allows for simple locking by pressing. Thus, the intermediate piece is secured within the connector by a reversible deformation of the material. The intermediate piece can be clicked into the connector. The connection is preferably irreversible and cannot be disassembled without damage. This enables both efficient manufacturing and ease of use.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the intermediate piece comprises a closure for blocking the connection between the liquid container and the beverage dispensing system in its unopened state. The closure is preferably designed for irreversible opening by means of a mandrel extension of the valve piece, particularly in a first use of the valve piece and intermediate piece. More preferably, the closure is arranged in the upper section of the intermediate piece, facing the valve piece. The closure allows the intermediate piece to be connected to the connecting piece of the liquid container after it has been filled, thus sealing the liquid container. The liquid container is therefore filled through the connecting piece and sealed by means of the intermediate piece. The closure prevents liquid from escaping from the intermediate piece. The closure is only opened when liquid is dispensed, and especially when attaching the valve piece to the intermediate piece, so that the liquid outflow is then only prevented by the valve itself. The valve, in turn, is only opened when the unit is used in the beverage dispensing system to draw liquid, thus allowing the liquid to flow into the system. This results in simple operation and efficient manufacturing.

[0024] In a preferred embodiment of the valve piece, the coupling section is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis. Preferably, the coupling section has a diameter larger than the diameter of an upper section of the intermediate piece, so that the coupling section forms a cylindrical receiving area for the intermediate piece within its interior. Corresponding to the intermediate piece, the valve piece has a corresponding design such that a receptacle in the coupling section of the valve piece receives, encompasses, or surrounds the intermediate piece. Because the diameter in the area of the valve piece is larger than the diameter in the area of the intermediate piece, an unimpeded flow of the liquid is ensured and the sealing is improved. An edge in the area of the liquid flow from the liquid reservoir towards the valve is avoided. This results in simple coupling when the relevant function is provided.

[0025] In a preferred embodiment of the valve piece, the valve piece comprises a receptacle arranged in the coupling section for a fastening element of the intermediate piece for reversibly attaching the valve piece to the intermediate piece, preferably by a relative rotation between the valve piece and the intermediate piece, in particular a relative rotation about a longitudinal axis of the valve piece. Additionally or alternatively, the valve piece comprises a mandrel extension for irreversibly opening a closure of the intermediate piece, preferably during a first connection of the valve piece and the intermediate piece, wherein the mandrel extension is designed, in particular, as a projection in the axial direction in the receiving area of the valve piece. Additionally or alternatively, the valve piece comprises a circumferential radial projection and a circumferential radial recess arranged in the coupling section for interaction with a coupling for connecting to the beverage dispensing system. The receptacle for the intermediate piece's fastening element can, for example, include a type of counter-hook for a hook that serves as the intermediate piece's fastening element. The hook and counter-hook can correspond to each other, so that engaging them results in a secure connection. Thus, the relative rotation causes the intermediate piece to engage with a receptacle designed as a counter-hook in the coupling section of the valve piece. It is particularly advantageous if a relative rotation can be used for connecting or coupling. This ensures easy operation when connecting and disconnecting the valve piece and intermediate piece. The intermediate piece's locking mechanism can be opened by means of the mandrel extension. For example, a predetermined breaking point can be provided on the intermediate piece, which is opened by the mandrel extension.During the initial connection of the valve piece to the intermediate piece, the mandrel can release this predetermined breaking point, allowing liquid to flow from the intermediate piece into the valve piece. The valve arrangement within the valve piece blocks the flow of liquid until the liquid container is connected to the beverage dispensing system, for example, via a suitable hose or hose connector. This allows the liquid container, complete with attached connector and intermediate piece, to be manufactured and delivered without any liquid leakage. This results in simple handling and lower production costs, as a separate valve piece or valve typically does not need to be supplied. A circumferential radial protrusion and recess facilitate coupling to a corresponding counterpart on the beverage dispensing system. The connection is made to a hose of the beverage dispensing system. Such indentations and protrusions are typical coupling points, which can be used, for example, by means of a click-in or snap-in mechanism through stretching and tension, possibly with the use of a spring force. The connection section in the valve piece designed in this way ensures compatibility with existing systems, thus reducing replacement costs and eliminating the need for modifications to the beverage dispensing system. In this respect, overall costs can be minimized, and the inventive approach with intermediate piece and valve piece can be easily implemented.

[0026] In a further embodiment of the intermediate piece, the intermediate piece includes an additional circumferential radial projection arranged in its lower section, which extends at least partially radially beyond the outer wall of the receiving area of the connecting piece. This projecting radial projection forms a kind of bearing, thus enabling easy attachment of the intermediate piece to the connecting piece. Furthermore, it facilitates simple manufacturing of the intermediate piece. This results in cost reduction and ease of use, potentially even in an automated filling system, where the connecting piece is sealed to the liquid container by inserting or clicking the intermediate piece into place.

[0027] In this context, a liquid container is understood to mean, in particular, a syrup container for use in soft drink or juice beverage dispensing systems. Sections refer to adjoining segments or sub-areas. The relative terms "top" and "bottom" or "upper section" and "lower section" serve only for descriptive purposes and delimitation. It is understood that the relative position may also be reversed depending on the orientation of the intermediate piece, and that "top" and "bottom" may be interchanged. "Coupling" in this context refers to both an irreversible and a reversible connection of two parts. By coupling or connecting, a fluidic connection is created, allowing fluid, in particular liquid, to flow from the liquid container into or through the various components.Moving components are components that are not rigidly connected and can perform a (relevant) relative movement to the remaining component without causing damage. Moving components perform relative movements to each other, for example, by sliding against or away from each other, etc.

[0028] The invention is described and explained in more detail below with reference to some selected embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. These show: Figure 1 is a schematic representation of a beverage dispensing system with a liquid container and closure system according to the invention; Figure 2 is a schematic representation of the operation of a closure system according to the invention on a liquid container; Figure 3 is a schematic representation of an intermediate piece according to the invention; Figure 4 is a schematic representation of a valve piece according to the invention; Figure 5 is a schematic representation of a closure system according to the invention; Figure 6 is a further schematic representation of a closure system according to the invention; Figure 7 is a schematic perspective view of a closure system according to the invention; Figure 8 is a schematic representation of a further embodiment of a valve piece according to the invention; and Figure 9 is a schematic representation of a further embodiment of a closure system according to the invention.

[0029] In Figure 1A schematic diagram of a beverage dispensing system 10 is shown. Such systems are used, for example, in restaurants, cinemas, or on cruise ships to serve drinks to a large number of people. In the illustrated embodiment, a beverage container 12 can be placed under a dispensing spout 14. A beverage can then be dispensed by pressing a button 16. It is understood that other operating methods are also possible. Soft drinks, juices, or alcoholic beverages can be dispensed, for example. In many cases, both carbonated and non-carbonated beverages can be dispensed.

[0030] In such beverage dispensing systems, water is typically mixed with syrup or another liquid preparation agent. For example, the mixture may be in a ratio of 1:3 or less. Mixing with water reduces the amount of supplied material compared to a delivery of ready-made beverages. The syrup or beverage ingredient is usually connected to the beverage dispensing system 10 via a hose 20 in a liquid container 18. It is understood that other types of connections are also possible. For example, the liquid container 18 can also be suspended directly in a suitable fixture within the beverage dispensing system 10. In the case of a hose connection, the liquid container 18 can, for example, be stored on a suitable shelf in a designated room.According to the invention, a new locking system 22 is provided for connecting the liquid container 18 to the beverage dispensing system 10.

[0031] In this context, Figure 2A schematic representation of a closure system 22 according to the invention is shown. The illustration is to be understood as a schematic perspective view. The closure system 22 comprises an intermediate piece 24 and a valve piece 26. The intermediate piece 24 is connected to a connecting piece 28 of the liquid container 18. For clarity, the components are shown separately. The connection is made in the direction of the dashed arrow. For use, the components of the closure system 22 are connected to the connecting piece 28 of the liquid container 18. The valve piece 26 and the intermediate piece 24 are each arranged along longitudinal axes (central axes), the longitudinal axes corresponding to each other when the intermediate piece 24 is connected to the valve piece 26.

[0032] To fill the liquid container 18 in a filling system, the contents are typically introduced into the container through the connecting piece 28. In previous designs, a valve was installed in the connecting piece 28 of the liquid container to seal it before the container 18 was delivered. This valve then seals the liquid container 18 and / or the connecting piece 28. Furthermore, it allows for connection to a beverage dispensing system, for example, via a hose with a corresponding fitting.

[0033] According to the invention, the previously one-piece valve is replaced by a two-piece assembly consisting of an intermediate piece 24 and a valve piece 26. Due to this two-piece design, the intermediate piece 24 does not need to provide a valve function, thus enabling, on the one hand, a design made from only a single material (since different materials for providing the valve function can be dispensed with) and, on the other hand, a design without moving components (because no valve function is required). This results in improved recyclability of the intermediate piece 24. Furthermore, the valve piece 26 can be reused multiple times. Finally, compatibility with existing beverage dispensing systems is maintained.

[0034] According to the invention, the intermediate piece 24 allows the liquid container 18 to be sealed after filling. The liquid container 18 can then be delivered sealed and transported to the place of use. Only at the place of use can the valve function be activated by coupling the intermediate piece 24 with the valve piece 26, thus enabling connection to a beverage dispensing system.

[0035] In Figure 3 Figure 24 schematically illustrates an embodiment of the intermediate piece according to the invention. A side view is shown on the left.

[0036] A corresponding sectional view is shown on the right. In particular, the intermediate piece 24 comprises an upper section 34 and a lower section 36. In the illustrated embodiment, the intermediate piece 24 is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis 30. Both the upper section 34 and the lower section 36 are cylindrical. The (cylindrical) diameter in the upper section 34 is smaller than in the lower section 36. The intermediate piece 24 is preferably made of polyethylene and can be manufactured by injection molding. Manufacturing it from polyethylene results in good recyclability.

[0037] In its lower section 36, the intermediate piece 24 includes a further circumferential radial projection 38, which serves as a stop when connecting the intermediate piece 24 to the connecting piece. When connecting the intermediate piece 24 to the connecting piece, the intermediate piece 24 is inserted into the connecting piece (see Figure 3). Figure 2On the outer circumference of the cylindrical lower section 36, a circumferential radial projection 40 and an adjacent circumferential radial recess 42 are arranged, designed to enable the intermediate piece 24 to be secured in the connecting piece. In particular, the circumferential radial projection 40 has at least a partially wedge-shaped cross-section, so that when the intermediate piece 24 is pressed into the connecting piece, it undergoes elongation or deformation followed by relaxation as it passes corresponding projections / recesses on the inner circumference of the connecting piece. This deformation ensures that the intermediate piece 24 is secured. Once the intermediate piece 24 and the connecting piece are joined, they cannot be separated without damage. The liquid container 18 can therefore be sealed after it has been filled by the intermediate piece 24.In the illustrated embodiment, a closure 43 is provided in the upper section 34 to block a liquid connection. This closure 43 must be opened before liquid can be withdrawn.

[0038] A fastening element 44 is provided for securing the valve piece to the intermediate piece 24. The fastening element 44 allows the valve piece to be reversibly attached to the intermediate piece 24. In the illustrated embodiment, the fastening element 44 is designed in the form of a hook and is arranged on the outer circumference of the upper section 34. The fastening element 44 is designed as a radial projection and extends beyond a circumferential surface of the intermediate piece 24 in the upper section 34. The fastening is achieved by a rotation about the longitudinal axis 30.

[0039] In Figure 4 A schematic representation of an embodiment of a valve piece 26 according to the invention is shown. Figure 4Figure 26 shows a side view on the left and a sectional view on the right. In the illustrated embodiment, the valve piece 26 is cylindrical along a longitudinal axis 32. A coupling section 46 allows for connection to an intermediate piece. A connecting section 48 allows for connection to a corresponding coupling of a beverage dispensing system or a hose with a corresponding coupling.

[0040] In the illustrated embodiment, a valve assembly 50 is located in the connecting section 48. This valve assembly prevents liquid from escaping the liquid container as long as the liquid container with the closure system is not connected to the beverage dispensing system. The valve assembly comprises a plunger 52 and a spring 54. The plunger 52 exerts a force on a closing element 56, which closes a liquid path and may, for example, comprise a diaphragm. The material of the plunger 52 is typically different from the material of the other components of the valve assembly 26. The spring 54 can, in particular, be a metal spring and thus also comprise a different material.

[0041] In the coupling section 46, the valve piece 26 includes a receptacle 58, which in the illustrated embodiment is designed in particular as a counter hook. The receptacle 58 allows the fastening element of the intermediate piece to be received. A connection between the valve piece 26 and the intermediate piece can be established and released again by a rotation about the longitudinal axis 32.

[0042] In the illustrated embodiment, the valve piece 26 has a diameter in the coupling section 46 that is larger than the diameter of the upper section of the intermediate piece. This allows the coupling section 46 to form a cylindrical receiving area 60 for the intermediate piece within its interior.

[0043] Within the receiving area 60, a mandrel extension 62 is formed in the illustrated embodiment. When connecting the valve piece 26 to an intermediate piece, the mandrel extension 62 enables the cutting of a closure at a corresponding point on the intermediate piece. In particular, a kind of predetermined breaking point can be created, allowing the liquid container to be opened upon initial use or when first opened. In the illustrated embodiment, the mandrel extension 62 is arranged as a projection in the axial direction within the receiving area 60 of the valve piece 26.

[0044] Furthermore, the valve piece 26 includes a recess 64 in its connecting section 48, which is designed to receive a sealing ring. The sealing ring ensures a liquid-tight connection when coupled to a corresponding receptacle 58 of the beverage dispensing system or when a receptacle 58 is connected to a hose of the beverage dispensing system.

[0045] In Figure 5 Figure 1 shows a schematic sectional view of the closure system 22 according to the invention, including an intermediate piece 24 and a valve piece 26. On the left side, a sectional view orthogonal to the longitudinal axes 30, 32 is shown in the area of the transition between coupling section 46 and connecting section 48 of the valve piece 26. On the right side, a sectional view along the longitudinal axes 30, 32 is shown. Intermediate piece 24 and valve piece 26 correspond to those shown in the Figures 3 and 4The embodiments shown. To avoid repetition, a renewed description of the previously mentioned embodiments is omitted. Figures 3 and 4 Features already described have been omitted.

[0046] In Figure 5 As can be seen in the illustration on the right, in particular, the upper section 34 of the intermediate piece 24 engages in the coupling section 46 of the valve piece 26 when connected or coupled. The cylinder diameter is therefore smaller in the upper section 34 than in the coupling section 46. Furthermore, the illustration shows that the mandrel extension 62 can be used to push open or cut the closure 43.

[0047] In the Figure 6 Further views of the closure system 22 are shown. A side view is shown on the left. A perspective view is shown on the right. Intermediate piece 24 and valve piece 26 again correspond to those in the Figures 3, 4 and 5embodiments shown.

[0048] In particular, in Figure 6 The function of connecting the intermediate piece 24 and the valve piece 26 can be traced. The fastening element 44 of the intermediate piece 24 is inserted into the receptacle 58 of the valve piece 26. By a rotational movement about the longitudinal axis 30, 32 (see the arrow in the left-hand illustration in Figure 6 The connection can be established (and released) by the interaction between fastening element 44 and receptacle 58. This results in a kind of twisting action. Fastening element 44 and receptacle 58 interact like a hook and counter-hook, thus causing a locking action between valve piece 26 and intermediate piece 24.

[0049] In particular, deformation of the corresponding material components can be utilized to create a spring force for locking. For this purpose, a front area of the fastening element 44 can have a greater extension in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis 30, 32 than a central area. Correspondingly, there is also a correspondingly shaped recess in the receptacle 58. Through this interaction, locking in the sense of a click or latch is made possible.

[0050] In Figure 6 The illustration on the right indicates that in the depicted embodiment, two combinations of fastening element 44 and receptacle 58 are provided, offset by 180° in the circumferential direction. The use of two combinations strengthens the coupling and prevents liquid leakage.

[0051] In Figure 7Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the coupling between intermediate piece 24 and valve piece 26 in a closure system 22 according to the invention. In the illustrated example, intermediate piece 24 is coupled to connecting piece 28. The arrow on the left side of the illustration visualizes the rotational movement performed for the connection. On the right side, a connected state is shown in which the fastening element 44 engages in the receptacle 58.

[0052] In Figure 8 An alternative embodiment of a valve piece 26 according to the invention is shown schematically. The valve piece 26 is designed for coupling to a different type of coupling of a beverage dispensing system. In contrast to the embodiment in the Figure 4 is the embodiment of the valve piece 26 in the Figure 8The connection section 48 is slightly longer, thus enabling coupling with a different type of beverage dispensing system. Essentially, however, the same functionality is provided.

[0053] Analogous to the embodiment described above in the Figure 4 The valve piece comprises 26 in Figure 8 A coupling section 46 for coupling to an intermediate piece and a connecting section 48 for coupling to the beverage dispensing system. A corresponding receptacle 58 is provided in the coupling section 46, which corresponds to the fastening element of the intermediate piece.
