Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for tempering a room according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] The device comprises at least one elongated heat transfer profile and at least one pipe through which a heat transfer fluid flows. The pipe and the heat transfer profile are coupled in a heat-transferring manner, with a longitudinal axis of the heat transfer profile being arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of the pipe. The heat transfer profile comprises a main profile having a channel-shaped free space for inserting the pipe. The channel-shaped free space has a longitudinal axis that runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipe. The heat transfer profile has a cover profile that, viewed in cross-section, has a central section, wherein the cover profile is produced from a sheet material by bending.

[0003] The elongated heat transfer profile in the sense of the present application is (significantly) longer than it is wide. The length frequently exceeds the width several times. If the device according to the invention comprises multiple heat transfer profiles, a pipe is assigned to each heat transfer profile. The pipes are then fluidically connected to one another, whereby it is conceivable that the pipes are coupled to one another in a harp-shaped or meandering manner. In a harp-shaped arrangement, several pipes are fluidically connected in parallel. In a meandering arrangement, the pipes are fluidically arranged in series. The pipes arranged in series consist, for example, in the area of the heat transfer profiles, of a long straight pipe section and curved connecting sections (elbows) that connect the straight sections. This means that a pipe, for example, consists of several pipes. The heat transfer profiles are preferably arranged next to one another in such a way that the respective longitudinal axes of the heat transfer profiles are parallel to one another.

[0004] For the purposes of the present application, the main profile—viewed in cross-section—has a vertical axis that typically corresponds to a vertical axis. The vertical axis of the main profile is preferably arranged perpendicular to a horizontal ceiling. The heat transfer profile is mounted directly or indirectly to a ceiling in an assembled state. The main profile further has a free space whose longitudinal axis runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline; preferably, the longitudinal axis of the free space runs coaxially to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline.

[0005] The device is designed to cool and / or heat a room. The temperature is transferred from the heat transfer fluid to the room via the pipe and the heat transfer profile. State of the art

[0006] Typically, several heat transfer profiles arranged next to one another with pipes arranged on them together form a cooling ceiling for room cooling, whereby the respective long sides of the heat transfer profiles are often arranged adjacent to one another.

[0007] Devices of this type are known from the prior art and are used primarily for cooling rooms. They consist, for example, of meandering or harp-shaped pipes (usually made of copper) through which water flows, which are in heat-conducting contact with heat transfer profiles, typically made of extruded aluminum or bent aluminum sheet.

[0008] Such heat transfer profiles are used, for example, in so-called static cooling ceiling systems. DE 196 15 419 C1 describes a heat transfer profile in the form of an extruded aluminum profile. The pipe (e.g., a copper pipe) is inserted or pushed into a specially designed channel and then, by deforming or expanding it, joined to the surrounding extruded aluminum profile to form a rigid unit with the best possible heat transfer and brought into large-area contact. Depending on the application, different geometries of extruded profiles are required and must therefore be manufactured using appropriate tools in the form of extrusion dies.

[0009] The device described in EP 3 499 167 comprises pre-perforated aluminum sheets instead of extruded profiles, which are formed into an approximate roof shape through a multi-stage forming process (using so-called roller sets). At the top of the (flattened) roof, a pipe is connected to the extruded profile in a heat-transfer manner using a contact profile. The contact profile can, for example, be a metal foil with self-adhesive properties, thus improving heat conduction from the pipe into the aluminum sheet.

[0010] DE 10 2017 130 081 A1 discloses a device for controlling the temperature of a room with an elongated heat transfer profile. A pipe for heat transfer fluid is arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis, the pipe being coupled to the heat transfer profile in a heat-transfer manner. The known heat transfer profile has a contact profile, with the pipe being arranged between the heat transfer profile and the contact profile. The known heat transfer profile can be made of sheet metal, which can be rolled into its final shape.

[0011] AT 508 561 B1 describes a heat-conducting profile comprising a heat-conducting plate and at least one holding device for a heat transfer pipe, which can itself be held by means of a hook. Pipes for a heat transfer medium are intended to be clampable.

[0012] The document US 4 766 951 A describes an extruded aluminum heating panel which can be assembled from individual parts, wherein a copper pipe for conducting a fluid can be inserted into a suitable recess in the panel.

[0013] Finally, EP 4 113 013 A1 discloses a cladding system for ceilings or walls intended to include a heating and / or cooling device. For this purpose, the system comprises a heat-conducting profile, which is intended to be designed as an extruded aluminum profile. Task

[0014] The present invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device which allows the production of different profile shapes for different purposes and which, despite high performance, can still be produced cost-effectively. Solution

[0015] The underlying object is achieved according to the invention by means of a device having the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments emerge from the associated subclaims.

[0016] The heat transfer profile of the device according to the invention has a cover profile. This cover profile is manufactured from sheet metal by bending. The cover profile is preferably dimensionally stable after bending, i.e., it does not plastically deform from its initial shape during the intended use of the device. In particular, the cover profile is not a metal foil.

[0017] With regard to the desired heat transfer between the heat transfer profile and the room air, it is advantageous that the main profile, viewed in cross-section, has a wing section extending approximately perpendicular to the central section of the cover profile. A longitudinal axis of the wing section of the main profile is preferably arranged parallel, more preferably coaxially, to the vertical axis of the heat transfer profile and extends perpendicularly into the room. The room air thus not only flows along the cover profile, but additional heat transfer takes place between the wing section of the main profile and the room air. The main profile wing is also effective with regard to increased radiation output.

[0018] Advantageously, an embodiment of the invention provides that the main profile is produced in the form of an extruded profile, preferably in the form of an aluminum extruded profile.

[0019] The at least two-part design of the heat transfer profile allows the combination of a single main profile (and thus producible in large quantities), preferably manufactured using the cost-effective extrusion process, more preferably using aluminum extrusion, with several variants of a roof-shaped cover profile, individually produced using bending. Production by forming, for example, using roller sets, enables the efficient production of a wide variety of cover profile types, even in smaller quantities, since the tooling costs for roll forming are lower than for extrusion. Even though extrusion is a cost-effective manufacturing process, the tooling costs are not insignificant, and small quantities can only be produced at considerable additional cost.In order to be able to offer various profile types, it is therefore advantageous for the heat transfer profile according to the invention to be formed in at least two parts and for the cover profile to be manufactured by bending. Different profile variants then always have the same main profile but each have a different type of cover profile.

[0020] The cover profile is made from sheet metal and preferably has a constant sheet thickness. The thickness of the heat transfer profile is preferably 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm, more preferably 0.7 mm to 1.0 mm. Forming the heat transfer profile from sheet metal offers the advantage that the sheet can be rolled into its final shape. In an alternative embodiment of the heat transfer profile according to the invention, it is made from sheet metal provided with perforations present at least in sections or regions. In the heat transfer profiles manufactured by extrusion as known from the prior art, the application of perforations is only possible to a limited extent, since these can only be introduced by subsequent mechanical processing. This is very complex and correspondingly cost-intensive with extruded profiles.

[0021] For the purposes of the present application, the heat transfer profile is preferably between 8 cm and 20 cm wide and preferably between 100 cm and 500 cm long, more preferably between 100 cm and 400 cm long. If several heat transfer profiles are arranged next to each other, the clear distance between the heat transfer profiles, measured in the horizontal direction, is between 0 cm and 20 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 10 cm.

[0022] Preferably, the main profile and / or the cover profile of the heat transfer profile are made of aluminum or an aluminum alloy. Aluminum or an aluminum alloy are particularly suitable for the two aforementioned manufacturing processes. Furthermore, aluminum and an aluminum alloy offer the advantage of good thermal conductivity, thus ensuring good heat transfer not only between the pipe and the heat transfer profile, but also between the room air and the heat transfer profile. The room air can be cooled or heated accordingly.

[0023] In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the cover profile is positively connected to the main profile. This means that the main profile and the cover profile interlock. It is conceivable that the main profile and the cover profile can be joined in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the heat transfer profile. The main profile is then inserted into the cover profile over a longer distance. This has the advantage that, depending on the shape of the main profile and the cover profile, no additional fastening elements are required to positively connect the main profile and the cover profile and to fix them together in the connected state.

[0024] Alternatively, the main profile and the cover profile are joined in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the heat transfer profile. This has the advantage of a correspondingly short joining path, simplifying handling during the assembly process.

[0025] Furthermore, it is conceivable for the main profile or the cover profile to have lugs that engage into at least one groove of the corresponding other main profile or cover profile for fastening. The main profile is then inserted into the cover profile, for example, under pre-tensioning of the cover profile, or the cover profile is inserted into the main profile under pre-tensioning of the main profile.

[0026] An alternative embodiment of the invention provides for the main profile and the cover profile to be manufactured with such a precise fit that a clamp connection is created between the main profile and the cover profile. This means that the main profile and the cover profile remain connected to each other by friction. When the heat transfer profile is assembled, it is impossible for the main profile to slip within the cover profile without external influences.

[0027] With regard to the composition of the heat transfer profile from the individual components, a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the cover profile, viewed in cross-section, has a central section in which it is connected to the main profile. Preferably, the main profile—viewed in cross-section—has a central section in which it is connected to the cover profile, wherein the central section of the main profile is preferably enclosed by the central section of the cover profile. Further preferably, the central section of the main profile is approximately rectangular, and the central section of the cover profile is approximately U-shaped, wherein the central section of the cover profile preferably has a base and two longitudinal sides.

[0028] The groove-shaped free space for inserting the pipeline is formed in the rectangular central section of the main profile. The free space is preferably arranged in a central region of the central section and is preferably at least semicircular; more preferably, the free space has a circular section of at least 180°, more preferably at least 200°. An opening of the free space is oriented toward the ceiling in an installed position of the heat transfer profile. Preferably, the pipeline is enclosed by walls of the groove-shaped free space to at least 50%, more preferably at least 60%.

[0029] The main profile is advantageously mirror-symmetrical along its vertical axis, with a center point of the free space preferably being located on the vertical axis when viewed in cross-section. At an upper end and a lower end of the free space, two legs are formed on either side, giving the central section a rectangular shape. This means that on a side of the main profile facing the ceiling, two horizontal legs are arranged in the free space, and on a side facing away from the ceiling, two horizontally arranged legs are arranged in the free space. Due to the mirror symmetry, there are therefore two legs arranged parallel to one another on either side of the vertical axis. The legs opposite each other along the vertical axis are preferably of the same length. The legs preferably have lugs at their ends facing away from the free space, with the lugs of two adjacent legs arranged on the same side of the free space preferably facing each other. The distance between the two opposing lugs is between 2 mm and 7 mm, more preferably between 3 mm and 6 mm.

[0030] The aforementioned clamping connection between the main profile and the cover profile can be implemented particularly well if the two legs facing the ceiling can be inserted into the cover profile with a slight play and the two legs facing the room are in surface contact with the cover profile.

[0031] The main profile is preferably shaped in such a way that, during its production by extrusion, no floating core is required, which must be used, for example, in the production of a hollow rectangular or round profile part with a closed outer contour. A floating core is required, for example, in the production of the extruded profiles according to DE 196 15 419 C1. A floating core must be laboriously positioned and held during the production of a profile part. This is preferably eliminated in the production of the main profile according to the invention, since the main profile is formed in one piece in such a way that the extrusion tool is also formed in one piece.

[0032] The central section of the cover profile is advantageously U-shaped. A base of the central section advantageously runs parallel to a room ceiling. At the base of the central section are two long sides, preferably in the form of legs, which preferably protrude vertically into the room. The base and the two long sides frame the central section of the main profile so that only the underside of the main profile is visible. The opening in the free space into which the pipe is installed is preferably closed by the base of the cover profile. The pipe is advantageously pressed onto the main profile and cover profile in such a way that the pipe is in surface-to-surface heat-transfer contact with both the cover profile and the main profile. It is also conceivable for the pipe to be first inserted into the free space and pressed into place there, and only then is the cover profile connected to the main profile in a form-fitting manner. In an assembled state, the pipe preferably has a D-shaped cross-section, with a flattened side preferably facing the ceiling.

[0033] With regard to the desired heat transfer between the heat transfer profile and the room air, it is particularly advantageous if the cover profile, viewed in cross-section, has a central section in which it is connected to the main profile, and has a wing section on each of its long sides, with each wing section projecting beyond a respective longitudinal edge of the main profile. The two wing sections increase the area of the heat transfer profile against which the room air flows, thereby improving convective heat transfer between the heat transfer profile and the room air. Furthermore, the wing sections also increase the effective area through thermal radiation.

[0034] The respective longitudinal edge of the main profile is formed by two pairs of legs, each parallel to each other and pointing in the same direction away from the vertical axis. When the heat transfer profile is installed, both longitudinal edges are connected to one longitudinal side of the central section of the cover profile. The respective wing section preferably projects beyond the two longitudinal edges of the main profile.

[0035] According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, each wing section has an inclined connecting section and an end section, wherein the connecting section adjoins the central section on the one hand and the end section, which preferably runs perpendicular to the base of the cover profile, on the other hand. The end section is accordingly arranged parallel to the vertical axis of the main profile. A surface of the inclined connecting section is arranged at an angle α of 30° to 60° to a surface of the base of the cover profile. This means that an acute angle β between a transverse axis of the connecting section and the vertical axis of the main profile is between 30° and 60°.

[0036] Advantageously, the end section running perpendicular to the base of the cover profile is folded or folded at its end facing the room. This has the advantage that the end of the heat transfer profile facing the room is not wavy along its longitudinal axis. Furthermore, the cover profiles then do not have unsightly and potentially sharp cut edges.

[0037] Preferably, the aforementioned perforations are arranged in the connecting areas of the cover profile. A free cross-section is preferably 10 to 40%, more preferably 15% to 30%. A cover profile with perforations offers the advantage that the sound generated in the room can be directed to the at least one optional sound absorber arranged above the heat transfer profiles.

[0038] Furthermore, with regard to the desired heat transfer between the heat transfer profile and the room air, it is advantageous if the main profile with its wing section is positioned centrally in a space formed between the two wing sections of the cover profile. Thus, the room air not only flows along the two wing sections of the cover profile, but also heat transfer takes place between the wing section of the main profile and the room air.

[0039] According to an advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention, it is provided that, in an assembled state, at least one elongated heat transfer profile is fastened to at least two cross members, wherein a longitudinal axis of the respective cross member is preferably arranged perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the heat transfer profile, wherein preferably several heat transfer profiles are fastened adjacent to one another on at least two cross members such that their longitudinal axes are arranged parallel to one another. The heat transfer profile is preferably fastened to the cross member with screws, for example sheet metal screws, or rivets. Advantageously, the main profile and the cover profile are connected to one another by the screws or rivets. This is particularly advantageous because the material of the main profile and the cover profile can expand and contract due to temperature fluctuations, although the main profile and cover profile do not necessarily expand or contract by the same amount. Accordingly, it is conceivable that an initial clamp connection between the cover profile and the main profile could loosen. This is advantageously prevented by screwing or riveting the main profile and cover profile to the cross member. The cross member therefore preferably serves to suspend the heat transfer profile from a room ceiling and also create a connection between the cover profile and the main profile.

[0040] The at least two crossbeams are preferably arranged at a distance from the ceiling; for example, suspension from steel cables is conceivable here. Advantageously, several heat transfer profiles are first attached parallel to each other to the respective pipeline. The device, with the several adjacent heat transfer profiles, is then mounted on the at least two crossbeams.

[0041] Advantageously, the cross members and at least one heat transfer profile are connected to one another in a heat-transfer manner, and in particular, are in surface contact with one another. The cross members are preferably also indirectly in heat-transfer contact with the pipeline via the cover profile. Consequently, the cooled area over which the room air flows is even larger. The cross member is advantageously made of a thermally conductive metal, preferably steel, aluminum, or an aluminum alloy.

[0042] Finally, it should be noted that the various features of the subclaims can be implemented individually or in groups in any combination in variants of the invention. Example
