Abstract
Description
[0001] MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING AN ARRANGEMENT FOR UNLOCKING A LOCK ON A HOOD
[0002] The invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising an arrangement for unlocking a hood, in particular a front hood. The invention also relates to such an arrangement installed in a charging flap of an electric vehicle. The invention also relates to a method for unlocking a hood of such a motor vehicle. The invention also relates to a method for recharging a vehicle equipped with a charging flap comprising an arrangement according to the invention.
[0003] In most motor vehicles, opening the front hood requires performing a manipulation inside the vehicle, including pulling a cable connected to a lock on the front hood. This technical solution has the advantage of being mechanically simple and of securing access to the engine area of the vehicle.
[0004] However, the frequency of opening the front hood of a vehicle is much greater today, particularly with regard to electric vehicles. Indeed, due to the reduced size of their engine, some electric vehicles may have, under the front hood of the vehicle, a layout that can serve as a storage compartment. Such a layout can be used in particular to store cables for connecting the vehicle to a personal or collective charging station. A problem now concerns the ease of access to such a housing, particularly for vehicles whose energy charging hatch is far from such a storage compartment.The vehicle user must then move to different areas of the vehicle, first in the passenger compartment to unlock the hood, then to the hood to retrieve the charging cables, then to the charging hatch to connect the cables to the terminal and to the vehicle.
[0005] There are technical solutions that simplify the opening of a front hood, such as unlocking electric locks via a smartphone or using electric actuators to open a front hood lock. However, implementing such solutions is costly.
[0006] The aim of the invention is to provide an arrangement for unlocking a hood, in particular a front hood of a vehicle, and a method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle which overcomes the above drawbacks and improves the arrangements for unlocking and methods for unlocking a hood known from the prior art. In particular, the invention makes it possible to produce an arrangement and a method which are simple, inexpensive and reliable and which allow simplified and secure opening of a front hood.
[0007] The invention relates to a motor vehicle comprising an arrangement for unlocking a hood lock, in particular a front hood, the arrangement comprising a gripping means and a cable connecting the hood lock to the gripping means, wherein the gripping means is accessible to a user from outside a passenger compartment of the motor vehicle and in that the cable is positioned entirely outside the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0008] The vehicle which is the subject of the invention may also include the following characteristics, taken separately or in combination with each other:
[0009] - the gripping means is located at the front or rear bonnet, or in an area close to the front or rear bonnet of the motor vehicle, in particular at the level of a front or rear wing, or a front or rear bumper, or a front grille;
[0010] - it includes a safety device intended to prevent use of the gripping means to unlock the hood lock by an unauthorized person;
[0011] - said arrangement comprises an authentication means which collaborates with the security element, so that the gripping means is usable only when an identification object of a user is authenticated by the authentication means;
[0012] - it is an electric vehicle and in that the gripping means is a door of a charging hatch of the electric vehicle; - the authentication means cooperates with a locking / unlocking device of the charging hatch of the motor vehicle, so that it is capable of unlocking the closed charging hatch, in particular the closed door of the charging hatch, after authentication of the identification object;
[0013] - the authentication means cooperates with the security element of the motor vehicle lock so that it is able to unlock the cable after authentication of the identification object, in particular to release the mechanical connection between the charging hatch and the cable;
[0014] - it comprises an identification object capable of cooperating with a locking / unlocking device of the motor vehicle to allow access or not to the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle, and in that the same identification object is capable of cooperating with the authentication means of said arrangement to make it possible to unlock the hood lock by tilting the door and / or said locking device of the load flap of the motor vehicle;
[0015] - it includes a charging cable for the battery of the electric motor vehicle positioned in a housing located under the hood of the vehicle, in particular the front hood.
[0016] The invention also relates to a method for unlocking a hood of a motor vehicle according to one of the preceding claims, comprising a step of rotating the gripping means of the arrangement, the gripping means being located outside the passenger compartment.
[0017] The invention also relates to a method for recharging an electric motor vehicle as mentioned above, according to which it comprises the following steps:
[0018] - a step of opening a load hatch door of the vehicle between a closed and stable locking position in which the cable is secured to the load hatch,
[0019] - a step of pulling the gripping means of the arrangement for unlocking a hood of the vehicle, this gripping means being the door of the load hatch;
[0020] - a step of entering a charging cable in a housing located under the hood of the vehicle,
[0021] - a step of connecting an electric vehicle charging station to a charging interface of the hatch via the charging cable,
[0022] - a step of blocking the cable during vehicle charging, all stages of the process taking place outside the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle.
[0023] The attached drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of an arrangement for unlocking according to the invention and an embodiment of an unlocking method according to the invention.

[0033] An example of a vehicle 100 equipped with an embodiment of an arrangement for unlocking a front hood is described below with reference to FIG. 1.
[0034] The motor vehicle 100 is a motor vehicle of any type, including a passenger vehicle or a utility vehicle. The motor vehicle 100 may be equipped with a thermal and / or electric engine.
[0035] In the remainder of the document, the figures are defined with reference to a direct orthonormal reference frame (X, Y, Z) represented by figure 2, the X axis being parallel to the longitudinal axis of the motor vehicle 100 and oriented towards the rear of the motor vehicle 100, and the Z axis being vertical and oriented towards the top of the vehicle.
[0036] The motor vehicle 100 comprises a passenger compartment 4 and a front hood 2. The front hood comprises at least one lock 21 which secures the opening of the hood 2. The lock 21 is connected to an arrangement 1 for unlocking the lock 21.
[0037] In one embodiment, the motor vehicle 100 may comprise an arrangement that can serve as a storage compartment 23, in particular for storing cables for connecting the vehicle to a charging station. The storage compartment 23 is located in a compartment made accessible by opening the front hood 2.
[0038] The arrangement 1 comprises a gripping means 11 and a cable 12 connecting the lock 21 to the gripping means 11. The gripping means 11 is accessible to a user from outside the passenger compartment 4 and no portion of the cable is located in the passenger compartment 4 of the vehicle 100. Thus, the cable is entirely positioned outside the passenger compartment 4.
[0039] The gripping means 11 is located at a hatch 6 located in an area close to the front hood 2 of the vehicle, in particular at a front wing 5 or a front bumper or a front grille of the vehicle. In an advantageous embodiment, the vehicle 100 is an electric vehicle and the gripping means 11 is a charging hatch 6 of the vehicle 100.
[0040] The hatch 6 comprises a door 61 having an appearance part 611 visible from the outside and an interior trim 612. The hatch 6 further comprises an interior wall or bowl 62. As can be seen in particular in Figures 4, 5 and 8, the bowl 62 is a rigid bottom wall 621 supporting in particular an interface 622 of an electric charging gun. The bottom wall 621 comprises for this purpose an opening of a shape complementary to that of the interface 622 which is intended to be connected to an electric charging gun 7, as can be seen in Figure 7. The bowl 62 is shaped according to an opening provided on the front wing so that it can be mounted from the outside so that in the closed position of the charging hatch 6, the latter comes flush with the front wing 5 as illustrated in Figure 3.
[0041] The load hatch 6 consists of a door 61 pivotally hinged on a bowl 62 about the axis AA. The door 61 in the closed position is connected to the bowl via a locking / unlocking device 30 which is commonly called a “push-pull mechanism”, located opposite the axis AA of rotation. Under the effect of pressure on the door 61 in line with the locking mechanism, a retractable finger comprising radial fins moves back and pivots, causing a 90-degree rotational movement of the fins, thus releasing the connection between the door 61 and the locking mechanism. When the pressure is released, the retractable finger exerts a pushing force in order to place the door 61 in the half-open position, which then makes it easier for a user to grasp.
[0042] The locking / unlocking device 30 is assembled to a bottom wall 621 of the bowl 62, as can be seen in FIG. 5 in particular.
[0043] The arrangement 1 and the lock 21 collaborate so that a pulling force exerted by a user on the cable 12 via the gripping means 11 unlocks the lock 21. Thus, after exerting a pulling force on the gripping means, the user moves towards the front hood 2 which is located close to the gripping means 11. In one embodiment of the front hood 2, the user can then directly open the front hood 2. Alternatively, the hood 2 may, for example, further comprise a latch 22. In this case, when the lock 21 is unlocked, the hood opens slightly. To fully open the front hood 2, the user must then unlock the latch 22 by passing his hand through the half-opening opening of the hood.
[0044] An embodiment of an arrangement 1 is represented by figures 3 to 8. According to this arrangement 1, the gripping means 11 is the door 61 of the hatch, it can also be described as a handle or paddle operable by a hand of a user.
[0045] The gripping means 11 is connected to the cable 12 which is concealed by its sheath 122.
[0046] The arrangement 1 advantageously comprises a security element 13 intended to prevent unauthorized use of the gripping means 11.
[0047] In the rest of the document,
[0048] - the safety element 13 is said to be “deactivated” when it allows the use of the gripping means 11; and
[0049] - the safety element is said to be “activated” when it prevents the use of the gripping means 11 to unlock the hood lock.
[0050] In Figures 4, 6, the security element 13 is shown in the “activated” state, in Figure 8 in the “deactivated” state. The security element comprises a fixed part 131 and a movable part 132.
[0051] The fixed part 131 is assembled to the load hatch bowl 62 which for this purpose comprises a fixing interface 623 forming a fixed and rigid structure of the bowl 62. The fixed part 131 contains the mechanism which controls the mobile part 132.
[0052] The movable part 132 comprises a retractable finger which is able to move perpendicular to the cable 12, as will be detailed later.
[0053] The fixing interface 623 comprises a receiving groove 6231 at the end of the cable sheath 12. The groove has a substantially cylindrical profile, through which extend radially projecting two ribs forming axial retaining stops against the movement of the cable sheath 122.
[0054] The safety element 13 is arranged under the receiving groove 6231 so that the movable part 132 comes close to the cable 12 in the active state of the safety device 13.
[0055] The cable 12 comprises a flexible strand 121, in particular metallic, on which a slider 123 is crimped as illustrated in FIGS. 4, 6 and 8. The slider 123 is of substantially rectangular geometry and has an arrangement 113, in particular an opening, for example a through hole, intended to receive the mobile part 132 in the active state of the safety device 13.
[0056] The safety device 13 is connected to the on-board electronic network by a connector 124 in order to enable control between the “activated” and “deactivated” states. This connector 124 can be connected to a control unit which can be linked to an authentication means 3 or a remote control (not shown).
[0057] The movable part 132 is intended to collaborate with an arrangement made in the cable 12 to together form a connecting means between the safety element 13 and the cable 12. The arrangement provides a female part of the cable 12 and the movable part 132 provides a male part of the connecting means.
[0058] The cable 12 comprises a flexible strand 121, in particular metallic, on which a slider 123 is crimped, as illustrated in FIGS. 4, 6 and 8. The slider 123 is of substantially rectangular geometry and has an arrangement, in particular an opening, for example a through hole, intended to receive the mobile part 132 in the active state of the safety device 13.
[0059] When the safety element 13 is activated, as illustrated in Figures 4 and 6, the retractable finger of the movable part 132 is held projecting inside the slider 123. The cable is fixed to the safety element 13, which prevents the cable 12, or at least immobilizes the strand 121 to the safety element 13 secured to the fixed and rigid structure of the bowl 62. Thus, when the safety element 13 is activated, it is impossible to move the strand 121 relative to the cable sheath 12.
[0060] Conversely, when the safety element 13 is deactivated, as illustrated in FIG. 8, the slider 123 is no longer engaged with the safety element 13 so that the strand 121 is free to move relative to the sheath 122 of the cable 12.
[0061] Door 61 can take three positions:
[0062] - closure in which the electric charging gun interface 622 is made inaccessible, as can be seen in Figure 3,
[0063] - stable opening in which the interface 622 is made accessible for the electrical connection of a charging gun, as can be seen in Figure 5, the door 61 is parallel to the axis BB,
[0064] - maximum opening for unlocking the front hood lock, as seen in Figures 7 and 8, the door 61 is offset by an opening angle [3 which is greater than the angle a that the door occupies in a stable position, relative to its closed position.
[0065] The stable open state of the door 61 is obtained by immobilizing the door 61 by the cable 12 then retained by the safety device 13.
[0066] The transition from the stable opening position to the maximum unlocking position of the front hood lock is achieved by a manual action, i.e. a force according to the arrow F in Figure 7 which causes a rotation of the door around the axis AA. This has the effect of pulling the cable strand 121 relative to the sheath 122 for unlocking the hood lock. The interior trim 611 of the door 61 comprises for this purpose an indexing wall 6111 located near the hinge area. The indexing wall 6111 of the cable through which the cable strand 121 extends.
[0067] The role of the 6111 indexing wall is twofold:
[0068] - along a first angular travel between the closing position of the door 61 and the stable opening position, the strand 121 of cable 12 is mounted to slide freely through the indexing arm
[0069] - along a second angular travel, between the stable opening position and the maximum opening position, the indexing wall 6111 exerts a tensile force on the cable strand 121 by means of an end stop, in particular a spherical stop, also referred to as an end olive with regard to its geometry.
[0070] In the closed state, the indexing wall 6111 is located close to, or even resting against, the fixing interface 623 forming a fixed, rigid and projecting structural part of the bowl 62, as is made visible in FIG. 4.
[0071] The indexing wall 6111 comprises an end face 6112 which extends substantially radially to the hinge zone of the interior trim 611 of the door 61, as is made visible in particular in FIG. 5. The end face 6112 is extended towards the rear by a disc portion 6113 whose flank comprises a groove 6114 inside which the strand 121 is able to be housed during the operation of the gripping means 11. The geometry of the indexing wall 6111, that is to say the position of the end face and / or the radius of the disc portion 6113 is thus defined according to the useful travel of the strand 121 to unlock the front hood lock.
[0072] In the closed state, the end stop of the strand 121 is distant from the end face 6112 of the indexing wall 6111, as can be seen in FIG. 4.
[0073] Between the closed position of Figure 4 and the stable open position of Figure 6, the cable strand 121 slides along the end face while concomitantly being placed inside the groove 6114 of the disc portion 6113 in such a way that in the stable state, the end stop of the strand 121 bears against the end face 6112.
[0074] In the “activated” state of the safety device 13, the cursor is secured to the structure of the bowl 62 by means of the retractable finger of the movable part 132 of the safety device then in the deployed position.
[0075] In the “deactivated” state of the safety device 13, the tilting of the gripping means 11 from the stable opening position to the maximum position is made possible, which has the consequence of pulling on the strand 121 in order to manually unlock the front hood lock by tilting the door 61 of the load hatch 6. For example, pulling on the gripping means 11, a sliding movement of 20 millimeters of the strand 121 in its sheath 122, allows the lock to be unlocked, which corresponds approximately to <t>=[3-a between 10° and 20° around the AA axis.
[0076] In a preferred embodiment, the motor vehicle further comprises a means 3 for authenticating a user of the vehicle which controls the security element 13, so that
[0077] - if a vehicle user is authenticated near the vehicle, security element 13 is deactivated,
[0078] - otherwise the security element 13 is activated.
[0079] Thus, the gripping means 11 can be used for unlocking the front lock only when a person located near the vehicle is recognized by the authentication means 3 as being a user of the vehicle.
[0080] Said means of authentication 3 of a user of the vehicle is also in relation with a locking / unlocking device 30 of the load hatch 6 of the vehicle 100.
[0081] Said authentication means 3 thus controls the locking / unlocking device 30, so that
[0082] - if a user of the vehicle is authenticated near the vehicle, the locking / unlocking device 30 in the “deactivated” state, so that it makes it possible to unlock the closed hatch 6,
[0083] - otherwise the locking / unlocking device 30 is in the “activated” state, the charging hatch 6.
[0084] The user authentication means 3 can, for example, recognize a magnetic card or key, more generally any object for identifying a person, allowing automatic unlocking of the vehicle when a user is located within a given perimeter around the vehicle 100, for example less than two meters from the vehicle. In this embodiment, the authentication means could allow the use of the gripping means only when the openings of the vehicle are unlocked.
[0085] Other embodiments of the authentication means 3 are conceivable. The bowl 62 may comprise an opening 623 through which the indexing wall 6111, at least the end face 6112, is able to circulate freely such that the geometry of the bowl has no impact on the geometry of the unlocking device.
[0086] In the case of a forced passage resulting in the breakage of the door 61 and the indexing wall 6111, the cable can be released but not actuated because the safety device 13 remains engaged with the slider 123, which prevents any relative movement of the strand 121 with respect to the sheath 122 of cable 12.
[0087] According to an alternative embodiment not shown, the indexing wall 6111 is shaped so as to move continuously behind the bowl 62 so that the latter does not have the aforementioned opening. This makes it possible to make the cable 12 and the security element 13 inaccessible, which are then protected from any fraudulent use, when the door 61 is in the stable open state.
[0088] The spring of the front hood lock exerting a force opposite to that applied by the gripping means 11 for unlocking, the strand 121 tends to return the door 61 from the maximum opening position to the stable opening position. As a result, as soon as the gripping means 11 is released by the user, the gripping means 11 is thus automatically repositioned in its stable opening position. The cable slider 123 can again be positioned in line with the retractable finger of the movable part 132 so that in the absence of authentication by the user, the retractable finger resumes its projecting position inside the slider.
[0089] An embodiment of a method for unlocking a front hood 2 of a motor vehicle 100 comprising an arrangement 1 according to the invention is described below with reference to FIG. 9.
[0090] The method comprises an unlocking step E14 in which the user exerts a pulling force on the gripping means 11 of the arrangement 1, the gripping means 11 being located outside the passenger compartment 4, it is in particular a door 61 of the load hatch 6. To be able to exert a pulling force, the user must, in a first sub-step E11, deactivate the security device 13 of the arrangement 1. In one embodiment, the deactivation is carried out using a magnetic badge or a magnetic key which can be the key or the badge, more generally any identification object, used to unlock the vehicle. Then, the user must, in a second sub-step E12, exert pressure on the gripping means 11, so as to release it from the loading hatch opening, the gripping means 11 then being in the half-open position to make it possible for a user to manipulate it.
[0091] Then, in a third sub-step E13, the user exerts a rotation force on the door 61 so that the strand 121 of cable 12 takes place within an indexing wall 6111, the door 61 then being moved from the half-open position to the stable open position.
[0092] Then, in a fourth sub-step E14, the user exerts an additional force, greater than that of step E13 and which tends to overcome the resistance emitted by the spring of the hood lock, thus moving the strand 121 inside the sheath 122, which unlocks the front hood lock. The door 61 is then moved between the stable opening position and the maximum opening position.
[0093] The movement of the strand 121 is of the order of a few centimeters, for example two centimeters, so that the angular travel of the door 61 between the stable opening position and the maximum opening position is greater than the few centimeters required to unlock the front hood lock. Once the hood is unlocked, the tension exerted by the strand 121 on the gripping means 11 of the door 61 type tends to mechanically return the gripping means 11 to the stable opening position, upon release by the user of the door. The lock 21 of the front hood 2 is then unlocked.
[0094] An embodiment of a method for recharging an electric motor vehicle 100 according to the invention is described below with reference to FIG. 10. In a first step E21, the user opens the charging hatch 6 of the motor vehicle 100. In one embodiment, the opening of the hatch 6 is secured by a means of authenticating the user, using, for example, a magnetic badge or a magnetic key.
[0095] In a second step E22, the user exerts a traction force on the gripping means 11 of the arrangement 1 to unlock a front hood 2 of the vehicle.
[0096] The second step E22 is broken down into four sub-steps E11 to E14, which were previously described in the mode of execution of the method for unlocking a front hood. As a remark, the sub-step E11 of deactivating the security element 13 can advantageously be carried out by the same means as the unlocking of the hatch 6 carried out in step E21. In other words, it is the same badge or the same magnetic key, more generally any identification object, which makes it possible to unlock the hatch 6 and to deactivate the security element 13. At the end of step E22, the lock 21 of the front hood 2 is unlocked.
[0097] In a third step E23, the user grasps a charging cable in a housing 23 located under the front hood 2 of the vehicle. To do this, the user moves from the hatch 6 to the front hood 2 of the vehicle. He then opens the front hood 2 (which was previously unlocked during step E22) to grasp the cable and closes the front hood 2. Opening the front hood 2 may require the tilting of an additional safety lever, of the unlocking latch type 22 which is embedded on the lock 21.
[0098] In a fourth step E24, the user connects an electric vehicle charging terminal to a charging interface 622 of the hatch 6 via the charging cable.
[0099] In a fifth step E25, the connection of the charging cable to the charging interface 622 causes the strand 121 to be blocked on the hatch 6. During this step, the user can move away from his vehicle while the hatch 6 remains open for recharging the vehicle. When the user moves away from his vehicle, the authentication means 3 detects the absence of the user and activates the security element 13 of the arrangement, so that the strand 121 connecting the front hood lock 21 to the gripping means 11 cannot be used to unlock the front hood of the vehicle while it is being recharged. Finally, the arrangement 1 according to the invention makes it possible to install a front hood unlocking system outside the passenger compartment 2. Such an arrangement thus avoids a user who has already left the vehicle having to return to the passenger compartment to operate a hood opening mechanism.
[0100] Thus, a user who has left his vehicle, for example, to operate a charging station, does not need to return to the vehicle's passenger compartment if he wants to retrieve charging cables stored under the front hood of the vehicle. Advantageously, arrangement 1 can be installed in an electric charging hatch, which reduces the number of trips the user has to make around his vehicle when recharging the vehicle.
[0101] In the case where the arrangement 1 is installed near the front hood, the invention further makes it possible to reduce the length of the cable strand 121 connecting the hood lock to the door 61 used as a gripping means 11, and also to reduce the length of the sheath of this cable. A smaller cable allows a better action on unlocking, the cable tension can be lower and the cable travel can be reduced.
[0102] The embodiments of the arrangement 1 also make it possible to secure access to the engine compartment. In particular, the invention blocks attempts to fraudulently use the arrangement 1.
[0103] Furthermore, the cost of implementing the invention is limited. Indeed, the invention does not modify the technical characteristics or the design of the front hood 2 and the lock 21. Furthermore, the proposed solution reuses mechanisms already present on the vehicle, in particular the “push-pull” type system used as an opening element for the door 61 of the hatch 6 which is used to secure the door of the hatch 6 in the closed state.< / t>
