Description

[0001] The invention relates to a piece of cabinet furniture with at least one body element forming a compartment.

[0002] The wall space available for the installation of cabinetry is increasingly limited by the use of televisions with a large-format flat screen that has to be hung on the wall and therefore takes up a considerable amount of wall space.

[0003] The object of the invention is to create a cabinet that allows better use of the available wall space.

[0004] This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cabinet furniture has a sliding fitting with a guide rail which extends at least with part of its length in the opening of the compartment and on which a holder for a screen is guided.

Claims

1. Cabinet furniture with at least one body element (10; 120) forming a compartment (12; 130), characterized in that the cabinet furniture has a sliding fitting, with a guide rail (16) which extends at least with part of its length in the opening of the compartment (12) and on which a holder (18) for a screen (20; 124) is guided.

2. Cabinet furniture according to claim 1, in which the guide rail (16) is displaceable across the width of the compartment (12), and the holder (18) for the screen (20) is displaceable from one side of the compartment to the other.

3. Cabinet furniture according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the screen (20) extends in height beyond the cabinet furniture (10).

4. Cabinet furniture according to one of the preceding claims, in which the guide rail (16) has an integrated drive (24, 44) which enables a motor-driven displacement of the screen (20).

5. Cabinet furniture according to claim 4, wherein the drive (24, 44) is arranged in a central region of the compartment (12) in such a way that it is concealed by the screen (20) in any position thereof.

6. Cabinet furniture according to one of the preceding claims, in which an electronic image display device (26) is accommodated in the compartment (12), which controls the screen (20) wirelessly or via a cable.

7. Cabinet furniture according to claim 6, with a cable guide chain (28) for an orderly tracking of the cable.

8. Cabinet furniture according to one of the preceding claims, in which the holder (18) has rollers (42) which engage in the guide rail (16) and are guided therein.

9. Cabinet furniture according to claim 8, wherein the guide rail (16) has a running surface in the form of a bead (38) and the peripheral surfaces of the rollers (42) have grooves which overlap the bead.

10. Cabinet furniture according to claim 9, wherein a second bead (40) of the guide rail (16) located above the rollers (42) can form a safety device which prevents the rollers from emerging from the guide rail.

11. Cabinet furniture according to one of the preceding claims, in which, in addition to the guide rail (16), a support rail (22) is provided, on which the holder (18) is supported in such a way that the tilting moment of the screen (20) is absorbed.

12. Cabinet furniture according to claim 11, wherein the support rail (22) is arranged in a separate compartment (14).

13. Cabinet furniture according to claims 7 and 12, in which the separate compartment (14) accommodates the cable chain (28) and a brush (54) covers the opening of the compartment (14).

14. Cabinet furniture with an integrated screen (124), characterized in thatthe cabinet has a body element (120) which can be closed by a sliding door (122) and forms the compartment (130), that the screen (124) is mounted in front of the sliding door (122) and can be moved with the sliding door and projects beyond the sliding door in the direction perpendicular to the direction of displacement, and that the displacement path of the sliding door (122) is at least half the dimension of the screen (124) in this direction.

15. Cabinet furniture according to claim 14, wherein the sliding door (122) projects beyond the screen (124) in the sliding direction.

16. Cabinet furniture according to claim 14 or 15, wherein the direction of displacement is the horizontal direction.

17. Cabinet furniture according to one of claims 14 - 16, in which at least some body elements which are adjacent to the body element (120) which can be closed by the sliding door (122) can be closed by flaps (126) or pivoting doors (128) and in which the displacement path of the sliding door (122) is so large that the screen (124) releases a part of the flaps (126) and pivoting doors (128) in an open position.

18. Cabinet furniture according to one of claims 14 to 17, in which the sliding door (122) can be moved into an open position in which it projects beyond the outer boundary of the body of the cabinet furniture.

19. Cabinet furniture according to one of claims 14 - 18, in which the sliding door (22) can be moved in both directions out of its closed position.
