Description

Description Title: VALVE HOLDER DOME FOR REFILLABLE TANK OF REFILLABLE DISPENSER BOX Technical field

[0001] This disclosure relates to the field of refillable tanks for pressurized product dispenser boxes and boxes comprising such tanks. It applies in particular to pressurized aerosol, liquid or pasty product dispenser boxes comprising a container containing the product to be dispensed and a valve-holder dome, said container and said dome being able to be separated. Prior art

[0002] Document EP3019420 B1 in the name of the applicant relates to a pocket or refill tank for pressurised product dispensing boxes which has the advantage, on the one hand, of facilitating the manufacture of these tanks or refills and, on the other hand, of making it easier to empty the pockets when dispensing the product they contain.

[0003] This device, which has the primary advantage of securing the bag to the dome and not to the valve, which facilitates filling the bag and handling the refill or container containing the product to be sprayed, is satisfactory for filling containers or bags through the housing of the valve-holder cup and for handling bags in automated manufacturing lines where the dome serves as a support for the advancement of the bags in the filling line and for crimping the cup onto the dome. Technical problem

[0004] This solution has the disadvantage of having to manufacture a dome per pocket and not being able to reuse the domes and / or the pockets separately, which can be useful for certain areas such as small series manufacturing, pocket refilling or packaging of products by individuals by examples and to reduce the amount of plastic thrown away when the bag is empty by keeping the dome for example. Furthermore, such a system is not suitable for rigid type containers that can be separated from a valve dome. Statement of the invention

[0005] In view of this situation, the present disclosure firstly proposes the production of a dome provided with means for fixing a container provided with complementary fixing means, the container and the dome being able to be separated, for example to fill the bag several times.

[0006] To do this, the present disclosure proposes a valve-holder dome, in particular for a pocket reservoir, comprising a bowl provided with a rim for crimping a valve-holder cup which comprises a nozzle constituting a foot part of the dome, provided with first means for fixing a container intended to contain a product to be sprayed and comprising a channel forming a passage for transferring said product to said valve.

[0007] The dome is suitable for receiving various types of container provided that the latter include fixing means complementary to said first fixing means.

[0008] Said first fixing means may in particular consist of a helical rib on the external surface of the end piece at the end of the foot of the dome.

[0009] The dome may include a peripheral collar for securing the dome to an upper rim of a tubular housing.

[0010] The crimping rim advantageously comprises an annular bead for watertight fixing of said cup.

[0011] The dome advantageously comprises, between the end piece and the bowl, a widened tubular passage whose external wall, at one end connecting with said end piece, forms a support shoulder for a terminal rim of a conduit of said container.

[0012] A tubular section of the tip may be shaped to receive at least one anti-crush rod.

[0013] The present disclosure also relates to a pocket reservoir for liquid or pasty product comprising a pocket secured to a connector, for filling and emptying the pocket, said connector comprising a conduit for the passage of the product provided with a longitudinal axis, for which the connector comprises second fixing means so as to fix it in a removable manner on the end of a valve-holder dome provided with said first fixing means, said second fixing means being complementary to said first fixing means.

[0014] The pocket may comprise a neck welded to a foot of the connector, said foot being shaped as a “sealing eye” provided with wings extending in a direction perpendicular to said longitudinal axis.

[0015] Said second fixing means may comprise a helical rib on an internal wall of the conduit.

[0016] The connector may include operating ears extending in a direction perpendicular to said axis.

[0017] The pocket tank advantageously comprises a closure shutter for closing said tank, said shutter comprising a cap part provided with third fixing means complementary to said second fixing means and an operating head.

[0018] The present disclosure further relates to a liquid or pasty product dispenser housing comprising a tubular housing for receiving the pouch reservoir assembled with a dome for which the pouch is received in the tubular housing assembled at its connector with the dome, for which a rim of the annular collar of the dome is applied to an upper rim of the tubular housing by means of an annular ring screwed onto the housing, said tubular housing comprising a filling valve for pressurizing an internal free space of the housing by means of a gas for pressurizing the pouch. [0025] The following drawings and description contain elements which may not only serve to better understand the present invention, but also contribute to its definition, where appropriate.

[0026] Figure 1 represents a valve-carrying dome 30 intended to receive a rigid or flexible container to produce a reservoir with a diffuser and in particular a pocket reservoir as will be described below.

[0027] The dome comprises a bowl 34 provided with a rim 36 for crimping a cup 70 carrying a valve 75 and comprises, opposite the bowl, an end piece 31 constituting a foot part of the dome 30, provided with first fixing means 32 for a container 10 intended to contain a product to be sprayed and comprises a channel 33 forming a passage for transferring said product to said valve.

[0028] Figure 2 represents a particular case of use of the dome to produce a pocket reservoir for liquid or pasty product comprising a flexible pocket type container 11 secured to a connector 20 assembled with a dome 30.

[0029] The connector 20 shown in particular in figures 2 and 5 is a connector for filling and emptying the container and for this purpose comprises a conduit 21 for the passage of the product provided with a longitudinal axis A.

[0030] This connector 20 comprises operating ears 25 extending in a direction perpendicular to said axis.

[0031] Returning to Figure 2, the pocket 11 has a neck 12 welded or glued to a foot 23 of the connector 20.

[0032] With reference to Figure 1, the foot of the connector is shaped as a “sealing eye” provided with wings 24 extending in a direction perpendicular to said longitudinal axis A to allow a sealed connection between the pocket and the connector.

[0033] For the assembly of the connector 20 under the dome 30, the connector 20 comprises second fixing means 22 complementary to said first fixing means 32 so as to fix it in a removable manner on the termination of the dome provided with said first fixing means 32.

[0034] According to the example shown in particular in Figures 2, 3 and 5, the second fixing means and the first fixing means are complementary helical ribs which allow the connector to be screwed onto the dome, the conduit 21 of the connector being provided with a first helical rib screwing onto the tubular end piece 31 of the dome comprising the first fixing means 32 consisting of a second annular rib complementary to the first to allow the connector to be screwed onto the end piece of the dome. Other embodiments of the fixing means are possible, such as an annular rib with an inclined slope on the end piece which snaps into place with a second annular rib in the conduit.

[0035] According to Figure 1 and Figure 3, the end piece 31 constitutes a foot part of the dome adapted to be inserted into the conduit 21 of the connector and comprises a channel 33 forming a passage for transferring the product to an outlet of the dome.

[0036] According to Figure 3 in particular, the bowl 34 is surrounded by a peripheral collar 35 for fixing the dome to an upper edge of a tubular housing 50 as shown in Figure 4.

[0037] A circular peripheral wall of the bowl 34 is terminated at the level of said outlet of the dome by a rim 36 provided with an annular bead 36a of watertight fixing of the cup 70 supporting the valve 75 which are shown in figure 5. The watertight fixing is carried out for example in a known manner by crimping a folded edge of the cup onto the bead.

[0038] The dome comprises, according to the example, between the end piece 31 and the bowl 34, an enlarged tubular passage 37 whose external wall, at one end of connection with said end piece, forms a support shoulder 38 for a terminal rim 26 of the conduit 21 of the connector or of the neck of a rigid container screwing onto the foot of the dome.

[0039] The dome can, however, be designed differently to directly receive a valve without a cup, the enlarged tubular passage in this case extending to the top of the dome to directly receive the valve.

[0040] Returning to Figure 1, at the opposite end of the bowl 34, the end piece 31 receives, according to the example where the container 11 is a flexible bag, a rod 40 for preventing the bag from crushing which is inserted into the bag 11 as shown in Figure 2 when the bag reservoir is secured to the dome. The anti-crushing rod comprises, according to the example, a tubular termination 41 which is inserted into the tubular termination 33 of the base of the dome.

[0041] Figure 4 represents a liquid or pasty product dispenser housing comprising a tubular housing 50 for receiving the pocket reservoir, comprising the pocket 11 and the connector 20 assembled with the dome 30. The dome is secured in a sealed manner to the housing, a rim 35a of the annular collar 35 of the dome being applied to an upper rim 51 of the tubular housing by means of an annular ring 80. To do this, the annular ring 80 comprises a support collar on the periphery of the annular collar of the dome and comprises an internal thread 81 which screws onto an external thread 81 of the housing.

[0042] To allow the housing to be filled with a gas such as air to pressurize the bag and allow the product it contains to exit when the product outlet valve 75 is opened, the tubular housing comprises a filling valve 52 for pressurizing the internal free space of the housing using the gas pressurizing the bag 11.

[0043] Returning to Figure 1, the anti-crushing rod comprises two arms 40a, 40b connected by curved crosspieces 40c to keep the two faces of the pocket apart and allow the passage of the product into the conduit 33 even when the pocket is crushed under the action of the gas contained in the housing.

[0044] To allow the pouch to be kept filled when not assembled with the dome, a pouch reservoir closure shutter 60 as shown in Figure 5 is provided.

[0045] This shutter comprises an operating head 61, here a knurled operating head, and a plug portion 62 provided with third fixing means 63 complementary to said second fixing means 22. These third fixing means 63 are here a helical rib identical to that provided as second fixing means on the end piece of the dome. Here again, other types of fixing means adapted to hold the shutter with the plug pressed into the conduit of the connector can be provided.

[0046] The dome of the present invention is particularly well suited to receiving a pocket provided with a connector as described previously but can also be used with a rigid or semi-rigid container.

[0047] The invention is not limited to the examples described above, only by way of example, but it encompasses all the variants that a person skilled in the art may envisage in the context of the protection sought. In particular, the dome can be used with a type of container other than a bag with connector, for example a bag with fixing ring or a rigid or semi-rigid container. Furthermore, the first and second fixing means are not limited to helical ribs or ramps but these means can for example be produced with an annular rib inside the conduit and an O-ring arranged in a groove on the end piece and positioned to pass behind the annular rib and be retained by the latter in the assembly position of the connector with the dome.
