AI Technical Summary
The existing methods for fixing a knitted textile cap to a motor vehicle seat padding block require a reciprocal fixing element on the reverse side, which complicates the production process, often involving gluing or sewing.
Incorporating an additional mesh of anchor loops in the knitted textile cap that intersects with structural loops, allowing the hooks of the flexible support layer to be anchored directly within these loops, eliminating the need for a separate fixing element on the reverse side.
This simplifies the manufacturing process by integrating a reciprocal fixing means into the cap itself, reducing production complexity and maintaining comfort and appearance by minimizing additional thickness.

Description
[0001] DESCRIPTION
[0002] Title: Automotive vehicle seat padding
[0003] The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat padding and a motor vehicle seat comprising such padding.
[0004] It is known to produce padding for a motor vehicle seat, said padding comprising:
[0005] • a padding block having a face for receiving an occupant of said seat,
[0006] • a knitted textile cover covering said receiving face, said cover having a mesh consisting of a plurality of structural loops intersecting by structural crossing points connecting them together,
[0007] • at least one element for fixing said cap to said block, said element being formed by a flexible support layer provided on a first face with a plurality of hooks projecting from said face, said element being fixed, by a second face opposite said first face, to said receiving face.
[0008] In order to ensure the fixing of the cover on the padding block, it is known to associate on the back of the cover a reciprocal fixing element based on fibers forming loops allowing the hooks to anchor themselves in them.
[0009] However, such an achievement requires fixing the reciprocal fixing element on the reverse side of the headdress, such fixing being done for example by gluing or sewing, which complicates the creation of the padding.
[0010] The invention aims to overcome this drawback.
[0011] To this end, and according to a first aspect, the invention proposes a padding for a motor vehicle seat, said padding comprising: • a padding block having a face for receiving an occupant of said seat,
[0012] • a knitted textile cover covering said receiving face, said cover having a mesh consisting of a plurality of structural loops intersecting by structural crossing points connecting them together,
[0013] • at least one element for fixing said cover to said block, said element being formed by a flexible support layer provided on a first face with a plurality of hooks projecting from said face, said element being fixed, by a second face opposite said first face, to said receiving face, said padding also having the following characteristics:
[0014] • said cap is further provided with at least one additional mesh of anchoring loops resulting from knitting of said cap, said anchoring loops intersecting with said structural loops by additional crossing points connecting them together, an anchoring loop extending between two additional crossing points,
[0015] • said additional mesh extends opposite said fixing element so that said hooks are anchored in said additional loops.
[0016] With such an arrangement, the cap is fixed directly to the fixing element without the addition of a reciprocal fixing element fixed on the reverse side of said cap, the additional mesh forming a reciprocal fixing means integrated into the cap.
[0017] This results in a simplification of the manufacture of the padding.
[0018] According to a second aspect, the invention provides a motor vehicle seat comprising such padding.
[0019] Other features and advantages of the invention will appear in the following description, given with reference to the attached figures, in which: [Fig.1] is a partial schematic front view of the reverse side of a cap according to one embodiment,
[0020] [Fig.2] is a schematic view in partial section of a padding provided with the cover of figure 1,
[0021] [Fig.3] is an overall schematic front view of the reverse side of the cap of figure 1, according to one embodiment.
[0022] With reference to the figures, a padding 1 for a motor vehicle seat is described, said padding comprising:
[0023] • a padding block 2 having a receiving face 3 for an occupant of said seat,
[0024] • a cover 10 made of knitted textile covering said receiving face, said cover having a mesh consisting of a plurality of structural loops 11 intersecting by structural crossing points 12 connecting them together,
[0025] • at least one fixing element 4 of said cover on said block, said element being formed by a flexible support layer 5 provided on a first face 6 with a plurality of hooks 7 - in particular of the Velcro type - projecting from said face, said element being fixed, by a second face 8 opposite said first face, on said receiving face, said padding also having the following characteristics:
[0026] • said cap is further provided with at least one additional mesh 13 of anchoring loops 14 resulting from knitting of said cap, said anchoring loops intersecting with said structural loops by additional crossing points 15 connecting them together, an anchoring loop 14 extending between two additional crossing points 15,
[0027] • said additional mesh extends opposite said fixing element so that said hooks are anchored in said additional loops.
[0028] According to the embodiment shown, the developed length of an anchor loop 14 is greater than the developed length of structural loop wire 11 between two successive structural crossing points 12, so that said anchor loop has a developed length sufficient to receive one or more hooks 7.
[0029] According to the embodiment shown, an anchoring loop 14 extends opposite a plurality of structural loops 11.
[0030] According to one embodiment, partially illustrated in figure 3, the padding 1 comprises a plurality of fixing elements 4 each cooperating with a respective additional mesh 13.
[0031] In particular, a fixing element 4 and the corresponding additional mesh 13 are in the form of a strip, so as to ensure a substantially linear fixing of the cap 10 on the block 2.
[0032] According to another embodiment not shown, a fixing element 4 and the corresponding additional mesh 13 are in the form of a medallion with a maximum dimension of less than 50 mm, so as to ensure substantially point-specific fixing of the cap 10 on the block 2.
[0033] According to one embodiment, the fixing element 4 is fixed to the block 2 by gluing.
[0034] According to another embodiment, the block 2 is made from molded foam - in particular polyurethane - and the fixing element 4 is fixed to said block by overmolding.
[0035] According to one embodiment, the support layer 5 has a thickness of less than 1 mm, so as not to generate any significant excess thickness between the block 2 and the cover 10, in order to optimize the comfort and appearance of the padding 1.
[0036] Finally, a description is given, in a manner not shown, of a motor vehicle seat comprising a metal frame, a suspension sheet associated with said frame and padding 1 as described previously, said padding being mounted on said sheet.
