[0004] Pull handles are used on a variety of surfaces, e.g., doors, cupboards, drawers. Typically, wood screws, grub screws and / or various fitting kits using grub screws are used to install the pull handles.

[0006] According to various, but not necessarily all, examples there is provided a pull handle arrangement for a door surface. The pull handle arrangement comprises a handle, a fastener comprising a first threaded surface, a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener, and a connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to fixedly connect the handle to a door surface. The connector comprises a third threaded surface for engaging with a portion of a threaded rod for fixedly connecting the connector to the door surface, a hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener, and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface. The handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion, by engaging the threaded rod with the third threaded surface, when the threaded rod extends through the door surface, and by engaging the first threaded surface of the fastener with the second threaded surface when the at least a portion of the fastener is received in the hole of the connector.

[0051] Embodiments of the invention relate to a pull handle arrangement. The pull handle arrangement is to be connected to a surface, such as a door or a drawer. In the following description the surface is referred to as being a door or a door surface, but other surfaces for connecting a pull handle are envisaged.
[0052] FIG. 1 shows a cross-section of a first example pull handle arrangement 100 in an assembled configuration and connected to a surface 110. In particular, FIG. 1 illustrates a portion of the first example pull handle arrangement 100. As illustrated in FIGs. 2A and 2B, the first example pull handle arrangement 100 is to be connected to the door 110 at two points on the door 110. For the purposes of clarity, FIG. 1 illustrates just one of these points of contact.
[0053] The first example pull handle arrangement 100 illustrated in FIG. 1 comprises a handle 120, a fastener 130 comprising a threaded surface 132, a connector 140, a threaded rod 150 and a back plate 160. The connector 140 is a single piece, i.e., is integrally formed. In the illustrated example, the handle 120 is a bar handle, and the fastener 130 and the connector 140 are elongate. In FIG. 1 , the assembled first example pull handle arrangement 100 forms a T-bar pull handle.

In some examples, an internally threaded grommet (not shown) may be located on the threaded rod 150 and inside the door 110 when the handle 120 is fixedly connected to, and fixedly spaced from, the door 110.

The threaded surface 142 of the connector 140 extends into the connector 140 from the distal end. In other words, the hole 146 may be orientated perpendicularly to the threaded surface 142 for engaging the threaded rod 150. In the illustrated example, the hole 146 comprises a threaded surface. Therefore, the handle 120 is fixedly connectable to the door 110, and fixedly spaceable from the door 110 using the elongate spacing portion 144 of the connector 140, by engaging the threaded rod 150 with the threaded surface 142 of the connector 140, when the threaded rod 150 extends through the door 110, and by engaging the threaded surface 132 of the fastener 130 with the threaded surface of the hole 146 of the connector 140 when at least a portion of the fastener 130 is received in the hole 146 of the connector 140.

In FIG. 3, the illustrated second example pull handle arrangement 200 differs from the illustrated first example pull handle arrangement 100 in that a further handle 260 is located on the other side of the door 210, rather than a back plate.

Claims
CLAIMS1. A pull handle arrangement for a door surface, the pull handle arrangement comprising: a handle; a fastener comprising a first threaded surface; a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener; and a connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to fixedly connect the handle to a door surface, comprising: a third threaded surface for engaging with a portion of a threaded rod for fixedly connecting the connector to the door surface; a hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion, by:(i) engaging the threaded rod with the third threaded surface, when the threaded rod extends through the door surface; and(ii) engaging the first threaded surface of the fastener with the second threaded surface when the at least a portion of the fastener is received in the hole of the connector.
2. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the third threaded surface of the connector is located in the elongate spacing portion of the connector.
3. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the pull handle arrangement comprises a further fastener and a further connector for fixedly connecting the handle to, and fixedly spacing the handle from, the door surface.
4. The pull handle arrangement according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the pull handle arrangement comprises: a further fastener comprising a fourth threaded surface;a fifth threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the fourth threaded surface of the further fastener; and a further connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to fixedly connect the handle to the door surface, comprising: a sixth threaded surface for engaging with a portion of a further threaded rod for fixedly connecting the further connector to the door surface; a hole for receiving at least a portion of the further fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is further fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion of the further connector, by:(i) engaging the further threaded rod with the sixth threaded surface of the further connector, when the further threaded rod extends through the door surface; and(ii) engaging the fourth threaded surface of the further fastener with the fifth threaded surface when the at least a portion of the further fastener is received in the hole of the further connector.
5. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the pull handle arrangement comprises a back plate arranged to engage with a portion of the threaded rod on the other side of the door surface from the handle.
6. The pull handle arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 4, wherein the pull handle arrangement comprises a further handle arranged to be fixedly connectable to the door surface on the other side of the door surface from the handle.
7. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the handle is at least partially hollow.
8. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the fastener is an elongate fastener.
9. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the first threaded surface of the fastener extends from a non-threaded portion.
10. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein at least a portion of the fastener abuts against the handle when the handle is fixedly connected to the door surface and fixedly spaced from the door surface.
11. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the pull handle arrangement comprises an internally threaded grommet to be located on the threaded rod and inside the door surface when the handle is fixedly connected to, and fixedly spaced from, the door surface.
12. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the third threaded surface is aligned with a first axis and the hole is aligned with a second axis, wherein the first axis is substantially perpendicular to the second axis.
13. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein at least a portion of the fastener abuts against the handle when the handle is fixedly connected to the door surface and fixedly spaced from the door surface.
14. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the handle comprises a hole to receive at least a portion of the connector.
15. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the second threaded surface is located in the hole of the connector.
16. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, according to claim 15 when dependent on 14, wherein the second threaded surface is positioned inside the handle when the hole of the handle receives the at least a portion of the connector.
17. The pull handle arrangement according to any preceding claim, wherein the connector comprises: a coupler comprising the third threaded surface of the connector and the hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener; anda spacer comprising the elongate spacing portion.
18. The pull handle arrangement according to claim 17, wherein the spacer comprises a hole for receiving a portion of the threaded rod to be received by the third threaded surface of the coupler.
19. The pull handle arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 16, wherein the handle comprises the fastener.
20. The pull handle arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 16, wherein the fastener comprises a hole to receive at least a portion of the handle.21 . The pull handle arrangement according to any of claims 1 to 14, wherein the second threaded surface is located in the handle.
22. A pull handle arrangement for a door surface, the pull handle arrangement comprising: a handle; a fastener comprising a first threaded surface; a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener; and a connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to be fixedly connectable to a door surface, comprising: a through hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion, when the at least a portion of the fastener extends through the through hole of the connector and the first threaded surface of the fastener engages with the second threaded surface.

A pull handle arrangement for a door surface, the pull handle arrangement comprising: a fastener comprising a first threaded surface;a handle comprising a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener; and a connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to be fixedly connectable to a door surface, comprising: a hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion, by engaging the first threaded surface of the fastener with the second threaded surface of the handle when the at least a portion of the fastener is received in the hole of the connector.
24. A pull handle arrangement for a door surface, the pull handle arrangement comprising: a fastener comprising a first threaded surface; a handle comprising a hole for receiving at least a portion of the fastener; and a connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to be fixedly connectable to a door surface, comprising: a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portion, by engaging the first threaded surface of the fastener with the second threaded surface of the connector when the at least a portion of the fastener is received in the hole of the handle.
25. A pull handle arrangement for a door surface, the pull handle arrangement comprising: a handle; a fastener comprising a first threaded surface; a first connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to be fixedly connectable to a door surface, comprising:a second threaded surface arranged to engage with at least a portion of the first threaded surface of the fastener; and an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; and a second connector, arranged to be removably connectable to the handle and arranged to fixedly connect the handle to a door surface, comprising an elongate spacing portion arranged to fixedly space the handle from the door surface; wherein the handle is fixedly connectable to the door surface, and fixedly spaceable from the door surface using the elongate spacing portions of the first and second connectors, by engaging the first threaded surface of the fastener with the second threaded surface of the first connector when at least a portion of the handle is connected to the second connector.
