Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a transport and storage frame, in particular for the transport and storage securing of rolled goods, with at least three side wall elements which can be placed on a pallet-shaped base element to form a transport basket or which are designed to form a transport basket into which a pallet-shaped base element can be inserted, according to the preamble of claim 1, a system with the transport and storage frame according to the invention and with a pallet-shaped base element according to claim 12, and a kit with the transport and storage frame according to the invention and with the pallet-shaped base element for assembling the system according to the invention according to claim 16.

[0002] A wide variety of transport solutions for diverse goods are known from current technology. For example, individual items are securely strapped to a Euro pallet. If, on the other hand, goods are stacked on a Euro pallet, they are secured against shifting during transport by wrapping them with film. Small parts are best transported and stored in transport baskets or boxes.

[0003] By way of example, DE 10 2004 012 198 A1 discloses a large container made of plastic, in particular with a pallet-sized base, with a transport frame made of at least four side wall elements for placement on a pallet-shaped base element, which is intended to enable easy removal of transported goods.

[0004] From DE 10 2016 213 397 A1, a transport frame for a transportable superstructure is known, wherein the transport frame comprises a frame structure and at least one fastening element of the superstructure to the transport frame and a coupling structure for detachably coupling the transport frame to a substructure. The disclosed transport frame is intended to improve the transport of a superstructure.

[0005] A disadvantage of known transport or storage frames is that they have a fixed load volume, or rather, the load volume cannot be divided or subdivided. Therefore, when part of a shipment is removed from the known transport or storage frames, the remaining portion cannot be adequately secured, meaning the shipment must be transported or stored unsecured within the frames. For example, if rolled goods previously secured on a Euro pallet by wrapping them with plastic film are removed from the plastic film for use, the rolled goods fall apart and in this case cannot be transported further on the pallet, for example by a forklift, but must then be transported manually, which is both time-consuming and physically demanding. Disclosure of the invention

[0006] The object of the invention is to improve, at least partially, transport or storage frames known from the prior art. In particular, the object of the present invention is to design a transport and storage frame, especially for the transport and securing of rolled goods, which allows for the separation of the load volume in order to secure the portion of the transport or storage goods remaining in the frame for further transport or storage when some goods are removed.

[0007] The aforementioned problem is solved by a transport and storage frame, particularly for the transport and securing of rolled goods, with the features of claim 1, by a system comprising the transport and storage frame according to the invention and a pallet-shaped base element with the features of claim 12, and by a kit comprising the transport and storage frame according to the invention and a pallet-shaped base element for assembling the system according to the invention with the features of claim 16. Further advantages, features, and details of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims, the description, and the drawings.

[0008] The transport and storage frame according to the invention, in particular for the transport and storage securing of rolled goods, with at least three side wall elements which can be placed on a pallet-shaped base element to form a transport basket or which are designed to form a transport basket into which a pallet-shaped base element can be inserted, includes the technical teaching that at least one locking element is detachably attached to two parallel first and second side wall elements, wherein the locking element in a released position relative to the third side wall element can be guided along the first side wall element and the second side wall element into a freely selectable fastening position.

[0009] In contrast to known transport and storage frames, which have a fixed volume without the possibility of dividing it for the purpose of holding transported goods, the transport and storage frame according to the invention, in the form of a transport basket, can be divided in its load volume, if necessary, by at least one locking element which can be freely guided on the two parallel side walls of the transport and storage frame according to the invention and can be attached in any freely selectable position, or which can be stretched between the two parallel side walls or detachably coupled to the parallel side walls.

[0010] This has the advantage that when goods are removed from the transport and storage frame according to the invention, the goods remaining in the transport and storage frame according to the invention can be further secured by the at least one locking element, which can be positioned relative to the third side wall along the first and second side walls, by the locking element, which in this case is guided towards the third side wall in order to clamp or hold the goods between the third side wall and the locking element.

[0011] For the purposes of the present invention, a "transport basket" is preferably understood to be a frame comprising side wall elements formed from struts, a transport box with flat side wall elements, a basket with side wall elements made of mesh mats, or a combination of at least two of the above-mentioned elements.

[0012] For the purposes of the present invention, "parallel side wall elements" can be understood to mean the side walls as well as the front and rear walls, which are connected to each other via a side wall.

[0013] A locking element, which in a released position relative to the third side wall element can be guided along the first and second side wall elements to a freely selectable fastening position, is preferably understood to be a locking bar that can be detachably attached to the side wall elements, i.e., at least frictionally coupled or connected to the side wall elements, and which can be moved or shifted along the longitudinal extent of the side wall elements to any position, or coupled to the side wall elements in any position. However, it is also conceivable to predefine positions for the locking bar along the longitudinal extent of the side wall elements, for example, in the design of a ball detent as spring-loaded pressure pieces that engage in predefined hole positions along the side wall elements. For the purposes of the present invention, a "locking element" can also be understood to be a net, a tension band or a tensioning strap which can be stretched between the parallel side wall elements at freely selectable or fixed positions in the longitudinal extension of these side wall elements in order to secure transported goods.

[0014] Preferably, the transport and storage frame, designed as a transport basket, is constructed from side wall elements formed by at least two horizontally parallel struts spaced apart from each other, which advantageously form a frame in conjunction with at least four vertically extending struts. In this design of the transport basket, at least one locking element, preferably in the form of a locking bar, is advantageously arranged on the lower and upper struts of the parallel side wall elements. When using a net, it is advantageously connected to the struts of the parallel side wall elements via detachable coupling elements, in order to stretch the net between them.

[0015] Advantageously, stop elements are designed on the vertically extending struts, allowing the transport basket to be attached to a pallet-shaped base element, particularly a Euro pallet, and connected to the pallet-shaped base element by means of fasteners, such as screws or nails. Stop elements can be understood as, for example, contact plates bonded to the vertically extending struts and resting laterally against the pallet-shaped base element. Alternatively, stop elements can be brackets that are placed over the vertically extending struts and connected to the pallet-shaped base element by means of fasteners, with the vertically extending struts being clamped between the brackets and the pallet-shaped base element. The simplest form of stop elements on the vertically running struts can be understood as feedthroughs in the struts through which, for example, screws can be guided to connect the transport basket to the pallet-shaped base element.

[0016] In another embodiment, the stop elements can have an angled cross-section with an upper leg and a side leg at an angle of 90°, wherein, when connected to a pallet-shaped base element, the upper leg rests on the surface of the pallet-shaped base element and the side leg abuts the pallet-shaped base element laterally.

[0017] For a compact design of the transport and storage frame according to the invention, which allows for economical transport and storage, the transport and storage frame is advantageously foldable. Preferably, the folding of the transport and storage frame, which is designed as a transport basket, is achieved by hinges that advantageously allow the first and second side wall elements to pivot about the vertical axis of the third side wall element.

[0018] In a design of the transport and storage frame according to the invention as a transport basket with vertical and horizontal struts, hinges are advantageously provided between at least two vertical struts and the horizontal struts in order to allow the first and second side wall elements to pivot relative to the third side wall element about the vertical axis of the vertical struts. Another embodiment with hinges or other pivoting means can provide that hinges or pivoting means are formed between the third side wall element and at least the first or the second side wall element.

[0019] The transport and storage frame according to the invention is advantageously designed for securing rolled goods during transport and storage, for example, goods that are delivered in a fixed assembly on a pallet by wrapping them with a film film. In this case, the pallet is understood as a pallet-shaped base element to which the transport and storage frame can be attached, or which can be inserted into the transport and storage frame, which is designed as a transport basket. When the film film is opened, the connection between the pallet and the individual rolls of rolled goods is released. By means of the locking element(s), the rolls can advantageously be secured or clamped between the locking element(s) and the side wall elements of the transport and storage frame, which is designed as a transport basket.

[0020] Metal tubes with round or square cross-sections and in various material grades and thicknesses can advantageously be used as materials for constructing the transport and storage frame according to the invention. The side wall elements can also be made entirely of plastic or of plastic or metal mesh panels.

[0021] A further aspect of the present invention is a system comprising a transport and storage frame according to the invention and a pallet-shaped base element. The term "pallet-shaped base element" is advantageously understood to mean a pallet, in particular a Euro pallet. The pallet can be a plastic or wooden pallet to which the transport and storage frame, designed as a transport basket, is connected. The complete system designed in this way allows for the insertion of a pallet loaded with goods, which advantageously has the same dimensions as the pallet-shaped base element. After insertion or placement of the pallet loaded with goods, it can be secured in the transport basket by means of the locking element or elements. For example, if rolled goods delivered on a pallet are placed in the transport basket along with the pallet, individual rolls can be removed from the pallet for use and the rolls remaining on the pallet can be secured by moving the locking element or locking elements longitudinally along the two parallel side wall elements towards the third side wall element, which is orthogonal to them, and by fixing the locking element or locking elements to the side wall elements in such a way that, despite the reduced load volume of the transported goods, they are still secured against slipping or tipping.

[0022] In principle, the system according to the invention can be designed in such a way that it can serve to secure different types of transported goods.

[0023] For the purposes of the present invention, a system can also be understood as a transport basket that is monolithic, i.e., designed in one piece with the pallet-shaped base element.

[0024] Finally, another aspect of the present invention is a kit comprising the transport and storage frame according to the invention and a pallet-shaped base element. The kit offers the advantage that the system according to the invention can be transported and stored economically for shipping, and then assembled after shipment. Preferred embodiments:

[0025] Further measures improving the invention are described in more detail below with reference to the figures and preferred embodiments of the invention. The features mentioned in the claims and in the description can be essential to the invention individually or in any combination. It should be noted that the embodiments shown in the figures are for descriptive purposes only and are not intended to limit the invention in any way.

[0026] They show: Fig. 1 shows a transport and storage frame according to the invention in the form of a transport basket, which is formed from vertical and horizontal struts, in a frontal view of the third side wall element; Fig. 2 shows the transport and storage frame made of Figure 1 in a side view of the first side wall element; Fig. 3 the transport and storage frame made of Figure 1 and from Figure 2Top view of the three side wall elements; Fig. 4 the transport and storage frame made of Figure 3 with a pallet inserted therein, top view; Fig. 5 the transport and storage frame made of Figure 4 with a pallet loaded with rolled goods inserted therein, which is connected to a pallet-shaped base element to form a system; and Fig. 6 the transport and storage frame made of Figure 5 with a pallet loaded with rolled goods placed inside it, shown in a top view.

[0027] In the different figures, identical parts are always marked with the same reference symbols, which is why they are usually only described once.

[0028] Fig. 1Figure 1 shows a transport and storage frame 1 according to the invention in the form of a transport basket 1.1, the side wall elements 2, 3 and 4 of which are formed from vertical struts 8, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 and from horizontal struts 7 and 7.1. The vertical strut 8.3 formed on the second side wall element 3, which lies parallel to the vertical strut 8.1, is in the Figure 2In the frontal view of the third side wall element 4, behind the upper strut 7 and the lower strut 7.1, from which the first side wall element 2, the second side wall element 3 and the third side wall element 4 are formed, locking elements 6 in the form of locking bars 6.1 are guided in freely selectable fastening positions 8 along the longitudinal extent of the first side wall element 2 and the second side wall element 3. The locking bars 6.1 engage with a grip 6.2 the struts 7 and 7.1 of the first side wall element 2 and the second side wall element 3. By means of a screw guided through the grips 6.2, the screw engaging an internal thread which is in or through the positive locking connection with a lock nut on the grips 6.2 is designed such that, by turning the screw using the associated lever 6.3, the screw, after passing through the grip 6.2, abuts the strut 7 or 7.1, thereby holding the locking bolts 6.1 in the illustrated fastening position 8. Stop elements 9 are provided on the vertical struts 8 and 8.2, at the lower end of the vertical struts 8 and 8.2 in the figure. These stop elements are connected to the vertical struts 8, 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3 by a material bond, for example, by gluing or welding. The stop elements 9 serve to attach and connect the transport and storage frame 1, designed as a transport basket 1.1 or as a storage basket, to a pallet-shaped base element 5 or 5.1.

[0029] Figure 2 shows the transport and storage frame 1 from Figure 1In a side view of the first side wall element 2, two locking elements 6 in the form of locking bars 6.1 are detachably connected to the upper strut 7 and the lower strut 7.1, which is spaced apart from and parallel to the upper strut 7.1. The locking bars 6.1 run orthogonally between the first and second side wall elements 2 and 3 and can be guided along the first side wall element 2 and the second side wall element 3 relative to the third side wall element 4 in the longitudinal direction of the first and second side wall elements 2 and 3 towards the third side wall element 4 or in the opposite direction to separate or delimit the cargo space between the third side wall element 4 and the locking elements 6 or between the two locking elements 6 arranged one behind the other. In the stop elements 9 at the lower end of the vertical struts 8, 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, feedthroughs 9.1 are provided for the insertion of fasteners, for example screws or nails (not shown here), by means of which the transport and storage frame 1, designed as a transport basket 1.1, can be connected to a pallet-shaped base element 5 or 5.1 at least force-fit. The upper strut 7 and the lower strut 7.1 extend longitudinally beyond the connection points with the vertical struts 8, 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3, whereby in particular the section of the upper strut 7 and the lower strut 7.1 extending to the right beyond the vertical strut 8.2 in the figure serves to secure a pallet 5.1 fully loaded with cargo into the transport basket 1.1 against slippage by means of locking elements 6 arranged on this section. Advantageously, the pallet 5.1 is inserted into the transport basket 1.1 via the open side. Figure 3 , 4 and 6lying on the right side of transport basket 1.1, placed in transport basket 1.1 with the cargo.

[0030] In the Figure 3 is the in Figure 2 The illustrated transport and storage frame 1 is shown in a top view from above, looking down at the upper struts 7 of the three side wall elements 2, 3, and 4. In the illustrated embodiment, the first side wall element 2 and the second side wall element 3 correspond to the longitudinal side of a pallet 5.1, with the third side wall element 4 being designed as the rear wall of the transport basket 1.1. Alternatively, an end wall and a rear wall can also form the parallel side wall elements to which the locking element 6 or locking elements 6 can be detachably coupled.

[0031] The Figure 4 shows the transport and storage frame 1 from Figure 3with a pallet 5.1 inserted therein, shown in a top view. Below the pallet 5.1, a pallet-shaped base element 5, which is identical to the inserted pallet 5.1, is connected to the transport and storage frame 1, designed as a transport basket 1.1, via the stop elements 9.

[0032] The Fig. 5 shows the transport and storage frame 1 from Figure 4 with the pallet 5.1 placed therein and loaded with 20 roll goods. The transport and storage frame 1, designed as a transport basket 1.1, forms a system 100 according to the invention in conjunction with the pallet-shaped base element 5. As also shown in the top view, see. Fig. 6As shown, the transport and storage frame 1, designed as a transport basket 1.1, is only one-third filled with the rolled goods 20 standing on the pallet 5.1. This prevents the rolled goods 20 from slipping and ensures they remain secure for storage or transport, for example, when the transport and storage frame 1 is moved by a forklift truck whose forks engage the pallet-shaped base element 5. Between the Figure 5 and 6 A second clamping space can be formed between the rear locking elements 61 (located on the right in the figures) and the front locking elements 60 (located on the left in the figures), which can be used to secure additional rolled goods 20 or other transported goods separately from the securing of the rolled goods 20 shown.
