Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a household appliance comprising a board holder which enables especially the Wi-Fi card to be mounted in a proper manner.
[0002] There are some design constraints for Wi-Fi cards to work effectively in household appliances. For example, in a household appliance, the shortest distance between the nearest metal and the Wi-Fi card should be between 4 cm and 12 cm. Moreover, no metal should be present on the side of the Wi-Fi card facing the user.
[0003] In household appliances with an entire body manufactured from metal and in embodiments where the panel opening size is smaller than the size of the Wi-Fi card, the Wi-Fi card cannot be positioned.
[0004] In a state of the art embodiment, the Wi-Fi card is disposed between the panel body and the display card and all circuit boards are positioned on the same plane.
[0005] In the state of the art European Patent Application No. WO2023199713, a top-loading washing machine is disclosed, comprising a wireless card mounted to the panel region.
[0006] In the state of the art Japanese Patent Applications No. JP2020157004 and No. JP3915897, a washing machine is disclosed, wherein a wireless module is mounted.
[0007] In the state of the art Japanese Patent Application No. JP6334109, a washing machine is disclosed, wherein a communication unit is mounted.
[0008] The aim of the present invention is the realization of a household appliance comprising a board holder which enables the Wi-Fi card to be mounted in a proper manner.
[0009] The household appliance realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention and explicated in the first and the respective claims thereof comprises a board holder which is mounted to the back of the panel so as to be positioned at an angle from the panel and whereon at least one Wi-Fi card is attached.
[0010] By means of the present invention, circuit boards, especially the Wi-Fi card, which cannot be placed parallel to the panel and therefore the opening due to the size of the circuit board, are enabled to be mounted to the household appliance with the most suitable angle between the panel and the circuit board, without creating any radiation problems. Thus, the circuit board, especially the Wi-Fi card, is mounted to the household appliance of which the body, the front wall and the upper wall are completely metal, without any radiation problems and without the need to be positioned parallel to the panel and the opening.
[0011] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the angle between the top point of the upper wall and the vertical axis is 62°. Therefore, the angle between the bottom point of the upper wall and the horizontal axis is 28°. In this embodiment of the present invention, the angle between the board holder and the upper wall is 40°. Thus, the angle between the top point of the board holder and the vertical axis is 22° and the design angle of the board holder is 50°. Consequently, the circuit board mounted to the board holder is enabled to make the most ideal and the most suitable radiation.
[0012] In an embodiment of the present invention, the household appliance comprises a panel group whereon the panel is mounted. In this embodiment of the preset invention, the board holder is attached to the panel group. In the embodiment of the present invention, a display card is attached to the panel group and a Wi-Fi card, as the circuit board, is attached to the board holder disposed behind the display card.
[0013] In an embodiment of the present invention, the board holder comprises a base and two side walls parallel to each other on both sides of the base. The circuit board is seated on the base in parallel and the movement thereof to the right and left is limited by both side walls.
[0014] In another embodiment of the present invention, the board holder comprises at least one support on the lower edge of the base. The circuit board bears against the said support from the lower edge thereof and the circuit board is prevented from sliding and separating from the board holder.
[0015] In the embodiment of the present invention, the household appliance comprises a first wall which is parallel to the panel, a second wall which extends perpendicular to the said first wall, and a board holder which extends from the second wall towards the first wall. In the embodiment of the present invention, the length of the first wall cannot be greater than the width of the panel.
[0016] In the embodiment of the present invention, the panel is attached onto the panel group and the circuit board is attached onto the board holder. Then, the panel group is moved parallel to the opening on the upper wall together with the board holder and is attached in place through the opening. In this case, the projection of the board holder does not exceed the width of the upper wall. Thus, the assembly and disassembly of the board holder and the circuit board mounted thereon to the household appliance is performed quickly and safely. Consequently, the board holder and the circuit board placed thereon can be serviced quickly and safely.
[0017] In the embodiment of the present invention, the household appliance is a washing machine.
[0018] By means of the present invention, the circuit boards with dimensions not compatible with the opening and the panel group are enabled to be attached to the household appliance by means of the board holder. Thus, the Wi-Fi card used especially as the circuit board is enabled to be mounted in the most proper manner without blocking the transmission thereof.
