[0001] The present invention concerns a multi-purpose machine for body building that is improved to solve some technical problems of the prior art, where, as is known, body building is that type of physical activity performed with certain tools, aimed at improving posture and at the same time shaping the body of a person, mainly by developing his / her overall muscle tone.

[0002] In the current state of the art, a series of machines, instruments and devices are known, which are made available to athletes and sportsmen in gyms to practice a series of very specific exercises. Generally, each machine is associated with a specific exercise, with a predetermined number of movements that can be performed by a person with his / her own body.

[0003] A first evolution of technology led to the creation of multi-purpose machines that allow persons to perform a multiple number of different types of exercises.

[0004] But in their first version, these machines had very bulky structures, and their functions were poorly integrated. Rather than representing a single multi-purpose machine, many of them were just a set of classic machines grouped together in a single space, or installed on a single frame. They therefore presented problems of handling, ease of use and safety for the user, with an exercise station located inside tension cables, with significant weights that were attached to various unstable structures.

[0005] A second evolution of technology has led to the creation of more advanced multi-purpose machines for body building, such as the one described in the Italian patent for industrial invention IT 102021000032381, issued on January 8, 2024.

[0006] The respective machines described in the above said patent are able to implement a significant number of exercises for the user, with a rapid transition from one exercise to another, and are perfectly integrated in their functions, without additional components that could be useless or redundant.

[0007] Furthermore, these machines are suitable for a use at home, and they are therefore compact, economical, can be installed in correspondence with the wall of a standard apartment and are robust, stable and safe.

[0008] The same machines can be easily configured according to the choice of exercises, and they allow for various levels of load, with weights that can be added progressively, to increase the intensity and physical effort required in the exercises.

[0009] The same machines can be further assembled and disassembled quickly and easily, they are easy and convenient to transport, and even when they are packed in a transport configuration they take up limited space, so that they can be transported in the trunk of a common vehicle.

[0011] The present invention introduces some technical modifications and additions that solve some technical problems of the prior art during the assembly / disassembly and transport phases, providing greater safety and being ease for the user during the execution phase of the body building exercises, with less complexity of the overall structure of the machines and, consequently, lower economic cost for their production, manufacturing and marketing.

[0012] Therefore, it is specific subject of the present invention a multi-purpose machine for body-building, installed in correspondence of a wall, said machine comprising: a rigid supporting structure, consisting of two pairs of vertical bars that rest on the ground on their respective feet, and a pair of horizontal bars attached laterally to the same vertical bars, respectively in their upper part and in their lower part; a series of supports are hooked to the rear part of the above said vertical bars, and are stably fixed to the wall using wall plugs; a pair of movable arms, each of them interposed in correspondence with one of the respective pairs of vertical bars, fixed and hinged at the top with respective pivots, with respect to which the same movable bars are free to rotate in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction with respect to a horizontal axis passing through the pivots and parallel to the wall; said machine being characterized in that further comprising: at least two pairs of perforated half-rings, each of which is incorporated into the respective right and left lateral profile of each of the above said vertical elements; said half-rings being placed in the upper part immediately forward and under the respective pivots; inside the holes of said perforated half-rings, are installed transversely and stably some respective end-of-run brackets and some additional optional safety brackets, all the brackets being represented by respective horizontal rigid bars, in such a way that the above said end-of-run brackets define a rigid support which keeps the above said movable arms having their free end at a fixed and predetermined height from the ground; or in such a way that the above said end-of-run brackets define a limit angle with respect to which the above said movable arms can rotate, until they reach with their free end a fixed and predefined maximum height or a fixed and predefined minimum height from the ground.

It introduces to the machines for body building some technical modifications and additions that solve some technical problems of the prior art during the assembly / disassembly and transport phases, providing greater safety and ease for the user during the execution phase of the body building exercises, with less complexity of the overall structure of the machines and, consequently, lower economic cost for their production, manufacturing and marketing.

Claims

1. Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, installed in correspondence of a wall (218), said machine (200) comprising: - a rigid supporting structure, consisting of two pairs of vertical bars (219, 220) that rest on the ground on their respective feet (206, 207), and a pair of horizontal bars (212, 213) attached laterally to the same vertical bars (219, 220), respectively in their upper part and in their lower part; a series of supports are hooked to the rear part of the above said vertical bars (219, 220), and are stably fixed to the wall (218) using wall plugs; - a pair of movable arms (201, 202), each of them interposed in correspondence with one of the respective pairs of vertical bars (219, 220), fixed and hinged at the top with respective pivots (214, 215), with respect to which the same movable bars (201, 202) are free to rotate in a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction with respect to a horizontal axis passing through the pivots (214, 215) and parallel to the wall (218); said machine (200) being characterized in that further comprising: - at least two pairs of perforated half-rings, (203a, 203b) and (203c, 203d), each of which is incorporated into the respective right and left lateral profile of each of the above said vertical elements (219, 220); said half-rings being placed in the upper part immediately forward and under the respective pivots (214, 215); inside the holes of said perforated half-rings, (203a, 203b) and (203c, 203d), are installed transversely and stably some respective end-of-run brackets (217a, 217c) and some additional optional safety brackets, all the brackets being represented by respective horizontal rigid bars, in such a way that the above said end-of-run brackets (217a, 217c) define a rigid support which keeps the above said movable arms (201, 202) having their free end at a fixed and predetermined height from the ground; or in such a way that the above said end-of-run brackets (217a, 217c) define a limit angle with respect to which the above said movable arms (201, 202) can rotate, until they reach with their free end a fixed and predefined maximum height or a fixed and predefined minimum height from the ground.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to previous claim, said machine (200) characterized in that comprising: - at least two further pairs of perforated half-rings, having the same hole pattern and being laterally coaxial to the previous ones, each half-ring incorporated into a respective internal plate, (221a, 221b) and (221c, 221d), connected internally to the respective right and left lateral profile of each of the above said vertical elements (219, 220); said further half-rings being placed in the upper part immediately forward and under the respective pivots (214, 215); inside the holes of the above said perforated half-rings, (203a, 203b) and (203c, 203d), and of the above said additional perforated half-rings on an internal plate, (221a, 221b) and (221c, 221d), the respective end-of-run brackets (217a, 217c) and the additional optional safety brackets are installed transversally and stably, all the brackets being represented by respective horizontal rigid bars, so that the overall structure of the improved machine (200) is particularly robust, and the end-of-run switch brackets (217a, 217c) with additional optional safety brackets are able to support significant loads, taking into account both the weights installed on the machine (200) for body building activities, and the weight of the person who in some exercises may lift himself on the above said arms (201, 202) of the machine, of the force exerted by a possible impact due to the free fall of the same arms (201, 202) on the end-of-run switch brackets (217a, 217c) and on the additional optional safety brackets.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to one or more of previous claims, said machine (200) characterized in that: - the hole pattern of the above said perforated half-rings, (203a, 203b) and (203c, 203d), and of the above said additional perforated half-rings on an internal plate, (221a, 221b) and (221c, 221d), approximately follows the design of a letter "J", more precisely the straight line tangent to the mathematical curve identified by the sequence of holes can be, in some critical points, perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the respective movable arms (201, 202), so that the end-of-run switch brackets (217a, 217c) with additional optional safety brackets are able to support the loads exerted on their surface more efficiently.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to one or more of previous claims, said machine (200) characterized in that: - the above said pivots (214, 215), with respect to which the above said movable arms (201, 202) are free to rotate clockwise or anti-clockwise, are made up of respective ball bearings, so as to decrease friction during the rotation of the arms (201, 202), increase the maneuverability and convenience of use of the machine (200) during the execution of body building exercises by a person, maintain a more precise overall balance of the weights, decrease wear of the materials and therefore increase the efficiency and operating life of the machine (200).

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to one or more of previous claims, said machine (200) characterized in that further comprising: - at least one pair of load bars (210, 211), each of which is rigidly installed in correspondence with a respective movable arm (201, 202), and perpendicular to it; - at least two sets of weights, comprising metal discs perforated in the center, each of which is installed and fixed stably in correspondence with the respective load bars (210, 211) through special locking stops; said installed weights being in a free number to be chosen among those available, in such a way that the weights constitute an additional load to the weight of the above said respective movable arms (201, 202), oppose their lifting, and define body-building exercises characterized by different levels of difficulty and physical strength required for the user.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to previous claim 5, said machine (200) characterized in that: - the above said load bars (210, 211), include a respective installation and removal mechanism, by screwing / unscrewing or by interlocking actions, so that they can be installed on the movable arms (201, 202), when an operation requiring the installation of weights is required, or they can be removed from the movable arms (201, 202), when it is necessary to reduce the overall space occupied by the machine, for example with the arms raised to the maximum height, positioned at almost 180 degrees and almost parallel to the wall.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to one or more of previous claims, said machine (200) characterized in that further comprising: - at least one pair of handlebars (204, 205), each of which is rigidly installed at the front end of one of the respective movable arms (201, 202), and extending forward with respect to such end; in a first configuration, said pair of handlebars (204, 205) is oriented outwards with respect to said movable arms (201, 202); in a second configuration, said pair of handlebars (204, 205) is oriented inwards with respect to said movable arms (201, 202); each of said handlebars (204, 205) comprises a mechanism for switching from the inward configuration to the outward configuration and vice versa.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to previous claim 7, said machine (200) characterized in that: - the above said mechanism for switching from the inward configuration to the outward configuration and vice versa, comprises a perforated base element (222) connected to the handlebar (204); the perforated base element (222) is inserted inside the movable arm (201) at its respective front end, and it is fixed at a pre-established distance using locking stops that intercept respective holes chosen from those present inside the perforated base element (222); - the procedure for switching from the inward configuration to the outward configuration and vice versa, involves: removing the locking stops; extracting the handlebar (204) with the perforated base element (222) from the movable arm (201); rotating the handlebar (204) with the perforated base element (222) by 180 degrees with respect to its longitudinal axis; inserting the handlebar (204) with the perforated base element (222) into the movable arm (201); the insertion of the locking stops.

Multi-purpose machine (200) for body-building, according to previous claim 7, said machine (200) characterized in that: - the above said movable arms (201, 202), as a consequence of the above said extension mechanism of the respective handlebars (204, 205), which are connected to the same movable arms (201, 202) via their base element perforated with the movable stops, constitute telescopic arms that can be extended up to a pre-established maximum length.
