Description

[0001] Connecting device for connecting a wall element of a

[0002] Drawer wall with a wall profile of the drawer wall

[0003] The invention relates to a connecting device for connecting a wall element of a drawer wall to a wall profile of the drawer wall, comprising a connecting body which can be arranged at least partially within the wall profile, a drawer wall with at least one such connecting device, and a drawer with at least one such drawer wall. Furthermore, the invention also relates to a method for connecting a wall element of a drawer wall to a wall profile of the drawer wall.

[0004] Drawer walls comprising at least one wall element and a wall profile are well known in the art. Typically, both the at least one wall element and the wall profile are made of sheet metal. The wall profile can therefore be easily screwed to the at least one wall element to create a secure and stable connection between the wall profile and the wall element. A connecting device could be formed by a screw.

[0005] For production and cost reasons, it may be advantageous if at least one wall element is made of plastic. However, it has been found that a secure and stable connection of the plastic wall element to the wall profile, which is still made of sheet metal, using a conventional screw connection is difficult.

[0006] The object of the present invention is to provide a connecting device that is improved over the prior art, at least partially eliminates the disadvantages of the prior art and, in particular, enables a stable connection between a wall element and a wall profile. Furthermore, a drawer wall with such a connecting device, as well as a drawer with such a drawer wall, and a method for connecting a wall element of a drawer wall to a wall profile of the drawer wall are also to be provided.

[0007] This object is achieved by the features of claims 1, 7, 13 and 14.

[0008] In a connecting device according to the invention, it is accordingly provided that the connecting body has an elastic locking element which can be locked into an opening in the wall profile, and that a fastening means is provided, wherein in an assembled state of the connecting direction a movement of the locking element can be blocked and a force-fitting and / or form-fitting connection can be produced between the wall element and the connecting body.

[0009] By snapping the locking element into the opening in the wall profile, a connection between the wall profile and the support body can be easily established. The support body can then be connected to the wall element using the fastener. This creates a secure and stable connection between the wall element and the wall profile, which is also easy to install.

[0010] A drawer wall according to the invention comprises at least one wall element and a wall profile, wherein at least one connecting device according to the invention is provided for connecting the at least one wall element to the wall profile. A drawer according to the invention comprises at least one drawer wall according to the invention, preferably wherein the at least one drawer wall is a front panel of the drawer.

[0011] With regard to a method according to the invention, the following steps are provided:

[0012] Inserting the connecting body into the wall profile, snapping the locking element into the opening of the wall profile, and

[0013] Inserting the fastening means in such a way that movement of the locking element is blocked and a force-fitting and / or form-fitting connection is established between the wall element and the connecting body.

[0014] Further preferred embodiments are defined in the further dependent claims.

[0015] Preferably, it can be provided that the connecting body has a recess, preferably in the form of an elongated hole, for at least partially receiving the fastening means, preferably wherein one side of the recess is formed by the locking element.

[0016] The recess can serve to connect the fastening means to the connecting body. Particularly if one side of the recess is formed by the locking element, movement of the locking element can be blocked by inserting the fastening element into the recess.

[0017] It can be provided that the locking element has a, preferably beveled, locking lug, which can be locked into the opening in the wall profile. This represents a simple possibility for implementing a locking element. A beveled locking lug facilitates the insertion of the support body into the wall profile and the insertion of the locking lug into an opening in the wall profile.

[0018] Particularly preferably, it can be provided that the connecting body has an opening for introducing the fastening means into the connecting body, preferably wherein the opening is arranged on one side of the recess.

[0019] The opening in the connecting body can also be used to connect the fastening device to the connecting body.

[0020] It can also be provided that the connecting body has a stop, wherein the stop comes into contact with the wall profile in an assembled state of the connection direction.

[0021] The stop ensures that the connecting body can only be inserted into the wall element up to a predetermined position.

[0022] Preferably, the fastening means can also be designed as a screw. The screw can then be screwed into the opening in the support body and / or into the recess with the support body. This allows a simple connection between the support body and the fastening means to be established. Furthermore, the screw can also be screwed into the wall element to establish a connection between the wall element and the support body.

[0023] However, the fastening means can also be designed differently.

[0024] For example, a pin can be provided which can be locked into the recess of the support body by means of locking elements and can rest on the wall element via a projection.

[0025] Of course, a variety of other designs are also conceivable.

[0026] With regard to a drawer wall, it can be provided that the at least one wall element has at least one opening for introducing the fastening means.

[0027] This opening can be arranged essentially in alignment with the opening in the support body.

[0028] Preferably, it can be provided that the locking element is arranged between the wall profile and the fastening means, wherein a movement of the locking element is blocked.

[0029] The locking element is thus locked after the fastener has been inserted, which also prevents the connection between the support body and the wall profile from becoming loose. The connection between the wall profile and the support body, and therefore also between the wall profile and the wall element, is thus additionally secured.

[0030] Preferably, it can be provided that at least two wall elements are provided, wherein the wall profile is arranged between the at least two wall elements and connected to them.

[0031] The wall elements can serve as a finishing touch to the drawer wall.

[0032] It can also be provided that the at least two wall elements together with the wall profile jointly form a frame for receiving a decorative panel, wherein the decorative panel is at least partially received within the frame in an assembled state.

[0033] Decorative panels can be made from a variety of materials. Such decorative panels visually enhance the drawer wall.

[0034] Of course, other designs for the drawer side panel are also conceivable. For example, the wall profile can extend across the entire height of the drawer panel.

[0035] A railing could also be provided, which closes off the top of the drawer wall. The railing is spaced from the wall profile.

[0036] Particularly preferably, it can be provided that the at least one wall element has at least one fitting for connecting the drawer wall to a further drawer wall, preferably wherein the at least one wall element and the at least one fitting are formed integrally with one another.

[0037] The wall element can therefore also be used to connect another drawer wall. Therefore, no additional fittings are required to connect the drawer wall to the other drawer wall. This simplifies the design of the drawer and reduces its manufacturing costs.

[0038] With regard to a method according to the invention, it can be provided that, in order to introduce the fastening means, the fastening means is introduced, preferably screwed, into the opening of the wall element and then into the opening of the support body, wherein the fastening means is arranged at least partially in the recess.
