[0001] The invention relates to a shading device with a rotatably mounted winding shaft from which a shading element can be unwound, wherein at least one edge of the shading element is attached to a profile of the shading device.

[0002] Such shading devices are known. Attaching an edge of the shading element to a profile of the shading device serves, in particular, to secure the shading element to an extension profile. For this purpose, the shading element is folded over and a loop is sewn, into which a rod is inserted. The loop with the inserted rod is then inserted into a keder receptacle in the profile.
