AI Technical Summary
Existing screening apparatuses for openings, particularly in walls, face challenges in minimizing passage obstruction in the minimum screening configuration while preventing downward flexion and insect passage in the maximum configuration, due to the limitations of compensating units and guide systems.
The screening apparatus features a sliding bar with reduced dimensions, guide channels arranged on opposite sides of a vertical plane, and a narrow compensating chain that resists flexion, allowing for a wind-resistant guide unit to maintain the screen cloth within the screening plane, thus minimizing passage obstruction and preventing insect entry.
This configuration results in a smaller, lighter, and less expensive screening apparatus that effectively maintains the screen cloth within the screening plane in both minimum and maximum configurations, reducing the tendency for the compensating unit to flex downward and preventing insect passage.

[0012] - a sliding bar (111): which is fixable to the second edge of the screen cloth (105); which comprises a first end portion (112) and a second end portion (113), which is opposite the first end portion (112); which comprises a first guide channel (116) for guiding at least a variable part of the first guide unit (107) which is decoupled from the third edge (106) of the screen cloth, wherein the first guide channel (116) originates at the first end portion (112) of the sliding bar (111) and extends along the sliding bar (111), for, at least partially, slidably receiving and flexing the variable part of the first guide unit (107) during a first activation of the sliding bar (111) along a screening plane (121) and aimed at reducing the screening of the opening to a minimum, progressively forming a first section (114) of the first guide unit (107) which is at least partially curved and a second section (115) of the first guide unit (107), which originates from the first section (114) of the first guide unit (107) which is straight and which comprises the second end (139) of the first guide unit (107); wherein the sliding bar (111) further comprises a second guide channel (117) for guiding at least a variable part of the compensating unit (110, 124), which originates at the second end section (113) of the sliding bar (111) and extends in the sliding bar (111), in order to, at least partially, slidably receive and flex the variable part of the compensating unit (110, 124) during the first activation of the sliding bar (111), progressively forming a first section (174) of the compensating unit (110, 124) which is at least partially curved and a second section (175) of the compensating unit (110, 124), which originates from the first section (174) of the compensating unit (110, 124), which is straight and which comprises the second end (141) of the compensating unit (110, 124) (see figures 6 and 9). The first guide unit is generally a guide chain.
[0013] The known screening apparatus (100) further comprises a synchronising unit for synchronising the sliding of the variable part of the first guide unit (107) in the first guide channel (116) and of the variable part of the compensating unit (110, 124) in the second guide channel (117). The synchronising unit is connected to the first guide unit (107) and to the compensating unit (110, 124) at the relative second ends (139, 141) thereof. The compensating unit (110, 124) and the synchronising unit are configured in such a way as, in use, to maintain the sliding bar (111) vertically orientated during a second, and any, activation of the sliding bar (111), along the screening plane (121) and aimed at increasing or reducing the screening of the opening along the screening plane (121). The synchronising unit, as shown in figures 6 and 9, can comprise two synchronising cables (200) and two direction inverting elements (119). The compensating unit (110, 124) can be a compensating chain (110, 124) (see, for example figures 6-8), which is flexible and which comprises a plurality of compensating chain elements, or a flexible metal strap (124) (see figures 9-10).
[0014] In this known screening apparatus (100), the screening plane (121), along which the screen cloth can unwind, vertically and entirely sections both the first guide channel (116) and the second guide channel (117) (figure 8). This means that the first guide channel (116) and the second guide channel (117) are adjacent along a majority of the longitudinal extension of the sliding bar (111) along an activating direction (D) of the sliding bar (111) (see figures 6, 8 and 9). Therefore, the dimension (D1) of the sliding bar (111), measured along the activating direction (D), will also depend on the dimensions (D2, D3) of the first guide channel and the second guide channel (117), measured along the activating direction (D). This inevitably has an effect on the size of the screening apparatus in its minimum screening configuration (see figure 4). This size partially limits the passage through the opening, in particular when the compensating unit (110, 124) is a compensating chain (110) (see figures 6-8). Further, when the compensating unit (110, 124) is a compensating chain (110), the relative compensating chain elements have a first dimension (D2), measured along the activating direction (D) which is smaller than the dimension (D4), measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (121), and therefore to the activating direction (D). This means that the compensating chain (110), when a known screening apparatus (100) is in the maximum screening configuration, it has a greater tendency to flex in a downwards direction, especially if the activating mode on the part of the user extends a compression action of the compensating chain. This, as well as having an influence on the activation of the sliding bar (111), can also have an unpleasant aesthetic effect, especially in the case of rather large openings.
[0015] It should be noted that making the compensating unit (110, 124) more rigid, in order to oppose the flexion thereof, would lead to the use of a greater quantity of material. This would inevitably lead, as well as to an increase in the relative production cost, also to an increase in the weight of the compensating unit (110, 124). In this way the relative advantage of the increase in rigidity would be annulled. Further, in the maximum screening configuration, the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth (105), which is opposite the third edge (106), can move from the screening plane (121), for example, if it is windy, as it is not adequately guided and / or at the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth (105) with the consequent probability of passage of insects.
[0016] In this matter, note the pair of brushes (147) visible in figures 7 and 10, which is fixed to a second housing (142). This is arranged on a second horizontal side of the opening. The pair of brushes (147) has longer bristles than a traditional guide unit with brushes. The latter is known in the technical sector as a “windproof guide unit” and has short and stiff brushes to adequately guide the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth.
[0017] Further, as it is necessary to enable the second end portion (113) of the sliding bar (111) to slide between the pair of brushes (147) during the relative activation, the bristles of the pair of brushes (147) canno be rigid, otherwise they would obstruct the activation. Consequently, the long and soft bristles of the pair of brushes (147) do not ensure a suitable guide of the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth (105) as they have a guide efficiency that is evidently modest. For this reason, the insects can cross the opening, at the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth (105), when the known screening apparatus (100) has a compensating unit (110) as illustrated in figures 1-10.
[0018] In practice, in the screening apparatuses of the prior art, it is not possible to have both a compensating unit, which compensates the first guide unit, following the activation of the sliding bar, and a second guide unit that is effective for guiding the fourth edge (108) of the screen cloth (105).
[0019] The need therefore exists for a screening apparatus that, in its minimum screening configuration, does not overly limit the passage through the opening; and which, in the maximum screening configuration, has a structured compensating unit so that the tendency to flex in a downwards direction will be modest.
[0020] Further, it would be advantageous to have a screening apparatus that compensates the activation of the sliding bar and, contemporaneously, also ensures a suitable guide to the fourth edge of the screen cloth, while preventing the fourth edge from displacing from the screening plane, preventing passage of insects in proximity of the fourth edge.
[0021] SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0022] The aim of the present invention therefore consists in finding other solutions, more effective, in the face of the above-described drawbacks of the known screening apparatuses having a compensating unit.
[0023] In particular, the main aim of the invention is to provide a new screening apparatus which, in the minimum screening configuration, does not overly limit the passage across the opening.
[0024] An additional aim of the invention consists in making available a new screening apparatus which, in the maximum screening configuration, has a compensating unit which tends to flex downwards in a smaller measure, with respect to the known screening apparatuses.
[0025] A further aim of the invention consists in providing a screening apparatus which at the same time enables compensating the first guide unit following the activating of the sliding bar, and effectively guiding the fourth edge of the screen cloth to prevent it moving out of the screening plane also preventing passage of insects in proximity of the fourth edge.
[0026] The above aims and mentioned objective have been obtained by means of a screening apparatus for screening an opening, preferably made in a wall, according to claim 1.
[0027] According to the invention, the sliding bar of the screening apparatus of the invention can have a dimension, measured along the activating direction which is advantageously smaller, with respect to the prior art. Consequently, the screening apparatus of the invention, in the minimum screening configuration, has a smaller size than the known screening apparatuses wherein a compensating unit is also present, in particular when the compensating unit is a compensating chain.
[0028] According to the invention, the first guide channel and the second guide channel are entirely arranged on opposite sides with respect to a vertical plane passing through the sliding bar and parallel to the screening plane (see figure 20). Therefore, the fourth edge of the screen cloth, which is opposite the third edge of the screen cloth and which is located on the screening plane, is accessible. It is therefore possible to use a second guide unit, including of the traditional type, wind-resistant and with brushes, to guide it. In this way, in the maximum screening configuration of the screening apparatus, the fourth edge does not move out of the screening plane and therefore does not allow passage of insects.
[0029] According to the invention, it is possible to use the compensating unit, in particular a narrow compensating chain, having a small dimension which is measured perpendicularly to the screening plane. The compensating chain is extended in the height direction so as to offer a resistance to high degrees of flexion, resulting definitively smaller and lighter with respect to those present in the known screening apparatuses. Therefore, according to the invention, the compensating unit will be lighter and will tend to flex less in a downwards direction when the screening apparatus is in the maximum screening configuration. Further, it will be less expensive as it is lighter and less material will be required to manufacture it.

[0098] - a second guide unit (37) (see figures 17, 18, 21 , 24, 28, 32, 37 and 41-44) for superiorly guiding the screen cloth (5), which second guide unit (37): is couplable with the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5), which is opposite the third edge (6) of the screen cloth (5); extends in a longitudinal direction; comprises a first end (440); comprises a second end (441) opposite the first end (440); is positionable, (and is preferably positioned) horizontally at a second side (62) of the opening, which originates from the upper part of the first side (3) of the opening, laterally to the compensating unit (10), with the first end of the second guide unit (37) being fixed to the frame, in proximity of the upper part of the first side (3) of the opening or fixed to the upper part of the first side (3) of the opening, and with the second end of the second guide unit (37) being fixed to the frame, in proximity of the upper part of a third side (61) of the opening, which is opposite the first side (3) of the opening, or fixed to the upper part of the third side (61) of the opening. Optionally, the embodiment can further comprise a second housing (42) (see figures 11-13, 21, 24, 28 and 32), which is part of the frame, and which is positionable horizontally at the second side (62) of the opening; wherein, in the second housing (42), when present and positioned horizontally, the following are contemporaneously housable: at least partially, the compensating unit (10), positioned horizontally; the second guide unit (37), positioned horizontally and laterally to the compensating unit (10); and, at least partially, the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar (11), with freedom to slide relatively between the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar (11) and the second housing (42).
[0099] Note that the first guide unit (7) and the second guide unit (37) can guide, respectively, the third (6) and the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5), housing and preferably containing them.
[0100] In a preferred aspect of the invention, the first guide unit (7) (which can preferably be a guide chain) can comprise first engaging elements, arranged at the screening plane (21) and engageable to the third edge (6) of the screen cloth (5). The first engaging elements preferably comprise or are (and preferably are) a first seat (43): which extends in a longitudinal direction; and which has a first access aperture (46) (see figures 17, 24 and 28), which extends in a longitudinal direction, which is positionable (and is preferably positioned) along the screening plane (21) and has a first width, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21). In this case, the third edge (6) of the screen cloth (5) is housable in the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements and comprises a first plurality of projecting retaining elements, wherein each projecting retaining element (44, 45) of the first plurality of projecting retaining elements has a first thickness, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), that is greater than the first width so as to prevent the third edge (6) of the screen cloth (5) from exiting from the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements through the first access aperture (46) of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements.
[0101] An embodiment is particular preferred of the screening apparatus (1) in which the second guide unit (37) comprises second engaging elements arranged at the screening plane (21) and engageable to the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5). The second engaging elements preferably comprise (and preferably are) a second seat (343): which extends in a longitudinal direction; and which has a second access aperture (346) (see figures 17, 24 and 28), which extends in a longitudinal direction, which is positionable (and preferably is positioned) along the screening plane (21) and has a second width, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21); and wherein the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) is housable in the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements and comprises a second plurality of projecting retaining elements, wherein each projecting retaining element (44, 45) of the second plurality of projecting retaining elements has a second thickness, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), which is greater than the second width so as to prevent the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) from exiting from the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements through the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements.
[0102] It is, further, preferable for each projecting retaining element (44, 45) of the first plurality of projecting retaining elements is a tooth (45) to be a zipper (or “zip closure”), since this simplifies the production of the screen cloth (5) and enables easy wrapping thereof about the winding roller (4) (see figures 28-29). Further, it is preferable for each projecting fixing element (44, 45) of the second plurality of the pluralities of projecting retaining elements to be a tooth (45) of a zipper.
[0103] Advantageously, the first access aperture (46) of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements and, when present, second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements is arranged symmetrically with respect to the screening plane (21), as, in this case it makes a more effective engagement. Further, each projecting fixing element (44, 45) of the first, or, when present, of the plurality of projecting retaining elements, projects symmetrically from the two sides of the screen cloth (5). The projecting retaining elements (44, 45) can be advantageously constituted by press-studs (44) (enabling the creation of a stud retainer), or by teeth (45) of a zipper (enabling the zip retainer) but can also be constituted by other types of projecting retaining elements (44, 45).
[0104] With the aim of ensuring a correct positioning of the screen cloth, according to an embodiment of the invention in which the second engaging elements are present, the screening apparatus (1) of the invention can preferably comprise regulating elements (not illustrated) for supporting the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements with the possibility of regulating the distance of the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements from the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) housed in the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements. The regulating elements can advantageously be housed in the second housing (42).
[0105] As the thickness of the teeth (45) is smaller than the other types of projecting retaining elements (44, 45) of the first and second plurality of the pluralities of projecting retaining elements (for example with respect to the press-studs (44)), it is necessary that, in the presence of the teeth (45), the first access aperture (46) of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements and the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements, are made with a minimal tolerance of measurement. For this purpose, relatively to the first engaging elements, an embodiment of the invention is preferred (see figures 28-31) in which the first guide unit (7) is a guide chain (7) comprising a plurality of guide chain elements, wherein each of the guide chain elements of the plurality of first guide chain elements (see figures 30, 31) comprises:
[0106] - a bottom wall (50);
[0107] - a first external lateral wall (51) and a second external lateral wall (52), which originate from opposite sides of the bottom wall (50) (and which are preferably parallel to one another);
[0108] - a first internal wall (53) and a second internal wall (54), which are arranged between the first external lateral wall (51) and the second external lateral wall (52), which originate from the bottom wall (50), and which are positionable (and are preferably positioned) parallel to the screening plane (21), which are separated from the first external lateral wall (51) and from the second external lateral wall (52) (and which, preferably, are parallel to one another);
[0109] - a first retaining wall (55), which originates distally from the first internal wall
[0110] (53), which is projecting from the first internal wall (53); and which is facing towards the second internal wall (54); and
[0111] - a second retaining wall (56), which originates distally from the second internal wall (54); which is projecting from the second internal wall (54), and which is facing towards the first internal wall (53); wherein the first internal wall (53), the second internal wall (54), the first retaining wall (55) and the second retaining wall (56) together define a section of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements and wherein the first retaining wall (55) and the second retaining wall (56) together define a section of the first access aperture (46) of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements. Obviously these sections are understood to be transversal with respect to the screening plane (21).
[0112] The fact that the first internal wall (53) and the second internal wall (54) are separate from the first external lateral wall (51) and from the second external lateral wall (52) enables greater dimensional control of the first access aperture (46) of the first seat (43) of the first engaging elements which is to retain the teeth (45) of the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5), in particular when each of the first chain elements of the plurality of first chain elements are obtained by injection moulding, in which there are alway small deformations during the cooling step following the moulding.
[0113] In order to guarantee that the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements is made with a minimal tolerance of measurement, when the second guide unit (37) having second engaging elements is present, the second guide unit (37) preferably comprises (and is preferably constituted by): a profiled element (see figure 28): which extends in a longitudinal direction and which comprises a body (57), which has an open ring transversal section, which internally defines the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements, which comprises the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements; wherein the profiled element further comprises a first longitudinal wing (58) and a second longitudinal wing (59), which are solidly constrained to the body of the profiled element and arranged on opposite sides with respect to the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements;
[0114] - a support element (60) which extends in a longitudinal direction; which is positionable (and is preferably positioned) horizontally at the second side (62) of the opening in order to support the profiled element horizontally with the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements facing downwards at the screening plane (21), inferiorly abutting the first longitudinal wing (58) and the second longitudinal wing (59) of the profiled element.
[0115] In this case, the screening apparatus (1) of the invention can preferably comprise regulating elements (not illustrated) for supporting the second seat (43) of the second engaging elements with the possibility of regulating the distance of the second access aperture (346) of the second seat (343) of the second engaging elements from the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) housed in the second seat (43) of the second engaging elements. The regulating elements can advantageously be housed in the second housing (42).
[0116] According to a preferred aspect of the invention, the first guide unit (7) can comprise third engaging elements, arranged at the screening plane (21) and engageable to the third edge (6) of the screen cloth (5). In this case, when present, the second guide unit (37) can comprise fourth engaging elements, arranged at the screening plane (21) and engageable to the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5). The third engaging elements (47), and, when present, the fourth engaging elements, preferably comprise a pair of brushes (47, 347) (see figures 21-23, 32-34 and 37) positionable (and preferably positioned) substantially symmetrically, with respect to the screening plane (21), with the relative bristles being: facing towards the screening plane (21); terminating thereat. In this case, the screen cloth (5) comprises a fabric the weft of which is engageable with the bristles.
[0117] Note that in figure 32 the first guide unit (7) is a guide chain a chain element (407 of which is illustrated in figures 33 and 34.
[0118] The bristles of the pair of brushes (47) of the first guide unit (7) are preferably arranged inclined downwards, and the bristles of the pair of brushes (347) of the second guide unit (37) are arranged inclinate upwards (figures 21-23 with respect to the screening plane (21) as in this way the weft of the screen cloth (5) is more effectively engaged.
[0119] In a preferred aspect of the invention, the second guide unit (37) can advantageously, alternatively to the second engaging elements and the fourth engaging elements, comprise fifth engaging elements (see figures 41-43), which in turn comprise a third seat (443), which extends in a longitudinal direction; and which has a third access aperture (446), which extends in a longitudinal direction, which is positionable (and is preferably positioned) horizontally along the screening plane (21) and has a third width, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21); wherein the fifth engaging elements further comprise a cantilever element (445), which extends in a longitudinal direction, which is arranged in the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements, which has a first end (450), which is fixable (and, preferably, fixed) to the frame, in proximity of the upper part of the third side (61) of the opening, or is fixable (and, preferably, fixed) to the upper part of the third side (61) of the opening; which has a second free end (449); and which has a third thickness measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), that is greater than the third width; and wherein the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) comprises a hem (448) in turn comprising, an annular opening (447) (see figure 41) arranged in proximity, or at, the second edge (9) of the screen cloth (5) in which the cantilever element (445) is insertable (and preferably, inserted) (from the second free end (449) thereof), so as to prevent the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5), in the hem (448) of which the cantilever element (445) is inserted, (through the annular opening (447) of the hem (448)), from exiting from the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements through the third access aperture (446) of the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements.
[0120] In this case it is preferable that the screening apparatus (1) of the invention can comprise regulating elements (not illustrated) for supporting the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements with the possibility of regulating the distance of the third access aperture (446) of the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements from the fourth edge (8) of the screen cloth (5) housed in the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements. The regulating elements can advantageously be housed in the second housing (42).
[0121] The hem (448) can advantageously be made by sewing, welding (in the case of plastic material) or by the fixing of a flexible tubular element which extends in a longitudinal direction and can be rolled.
[0122] The third access aperture (446) of the third seat (443) of the fifth engaging elements is advantageously arranged symmetrically, with respect to the screening plane (21), as, in that case, it makes a more effective engagement.
[0123] With the aim of reducing the size of the sliding bar (11) and preventing the flexion of the compensating unit in the maximum screening configuration, a screening apparatus (1) is preferred according to the invention in which:
[0124] - the first guide channel (16) has a width, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21);
[0125] - the second guide channel (17) has a width, measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), which is smaller than the width of the first guide channel (16);
[0126] - wherein the first guide unit (7) has a fourth thickness (S4), measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), and the compensating unit (10) has a fifth thickness (S5), measured perpendicularly to the screening plane (21), which is smaller than the fourth thickness (S4) (see figure 20).
[0127] In this case, the first guide unit (7) can be a further guide chain (7): which comprises a plurality of further guide chain elements; and the compensating unit (10) can be a further compensating guide chain: which comprises a plurality of further compensating chain elements.
[0128] In a case where the second side (62) of the opening is particularly large, in order to entirely screen the opening it may be necessary to have two screening apparatuses (1) according to the invention. In order to obtain the relative maximum screening configuration thereof, it will be necessary to activate the sliding bar (11) of the first screening apparatus from the first side towards the centre of the opening, and it will be necessary to activate the sliding bar (11) of the second screening apparatus from the third side (61) of the opening towards the centre of the opening. As the sliding bar (11) described up to this point has the first guide channel (16) and the second guide channel (17) not arranged symmetrically, with respect to the screening plane (21), the two sliding bars (11) flanked at the centre of the opening will not be completely aligned. The above is true unless there are: two screening apparatuses (1) according to the invention which are identical to one another and which are completely symmetrical with respect to the screening plane (21); or, alternatively, a pair of screening apparatuses (1) according to the invention, in which one of them is specifically designed to be fixed to the right side of the opening and the other specifically designed to be fixed to the left side of the opening with the two sliding bars (11) of the one and the other aligned at the centre of the opening. The following is a description of an embodiment of the screening apparatus (1) according to the invention wherein the sliding bar (11) comprises two specific housings, in each of which the compensating unit can be housed. In this embodiment the screening apparatus (1) according to the invention is symmetrical with respect to the screening plane (21). In this embodiment the sliding bar (11) further comprises a third guide channel (18) (see figure 37) for guiding at least a variable part of the compensating unit (10), which third guide channel (18): originates at the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar (11); extends in the sliding bar (11), in order to, at least partially, slidably receive and flex the variable part of the compensating unit (10) during the first activation of the sliding bar (11); is arranged, with respect to the first guide channel (16) (and therefore also with respect to the screening plane (21)), on the opposite side of the second guide channel (17). This is with the purpose of being able to house the compensating unit (10) in the second guide channel (17) or in the third guide channel (18). This enables housing the compensating unit (10) of the first screening apparatus (1) in the second guide channel (17) thereof and the compensating unit (10) of the second screening apparatus (1) in the third guide channel (18) thereof. In this way, the two sliding bars (11) of the two screening apparatuses will be aligned, with respect to the screening plane (21), at the centre of the opening in the maximum screening configuration of the screening apparatuses (1). The third guide channel (18) is preferably identical to the second guide channel (17).
[0129] In this case, and advantageously, the second housing (42), when present (and, preferably it is present) is positioned horizontally and can comprise: a fourth seat (63), which extends longitudinally; a fifth seat (64), which extends longitudinally which is identical to the fourth seat (63); wherein the fourth seat (63) and the fifth seat (64) are parallel to one another and are arranged (preferably symmetrically) on opposite sides of the screening plane (21) in order to house: the compensating unit (10) in the fourth seat (63) or in the fifth seat (64) (see figure 37).
[0130] In this case, when the second guide unit (37) is also present, and the second housing (42) is present and positioned horizontally, it further comprises a sixth seat (65) for horizontally housing the second guide unit (37), wherein the sixth seat (65) extends longitudinally, is interposed between the fourth seat (63) and the fifth seat (64), and is parallel thereto, and is sectioned longitudinally by the screening plane (21) (see figure 37). In that case the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar (11) in the vertical position, can advantageously comprise a terminal plate (500) (see figure 32), which is sectioned longitudinally by the screening plane (21) and is slidably received in the second guide unit (37) arranged in the sixth seat (65).
[0131] It is understood that the screen cloth (5) of the screening apparatus (1) according to the invention can be selected from a group constituted by: a screen cloth (5) for screening against insects, a screen cloth (5) for at least partially screening the light; a waterproof screen cloth (5), a cloth for curtains, a cloth for awnings, a screen cloth (5) that is waterproof and at least partially transparent to visible light.
[0132] Figure 36 illustrates an embodiment of the screening apparatus (1) according to the invention, wherein the first guide unit (7) comprises a first indentation (66) which, when the second end (39) of the first guide unit (7) is arranged in the first guide channel (16), is facing towards the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar (11), and the compensating unit (10) comprises a second indentation (67) which, when the second end (41) of the compensating unit (10) is arranged in the second guide channel (17), is facing towards the first end portion (12) of the sliding bar (11), and wherein the synchronising unit comprises:
[0133] - a lower gear (68), which is arranged in the sliding bar (11) (preferably, in the first end portion (12) of the sliding bar (11)) and which is enmeshable with the first indentation (66) (obviously when the second end (39) of the first guide unit (7) is arranged in the first guide channel (16), and facing towards the second end portion of the sliding bar);
[0134] - a lower synchronising roller (69) which is coaxial and solidly constrained to the lower gear (68);
[0135] - an upper gear (70), which is arranged in the sliding bar (11) (preferably in the second end portion (13) of the sliding bar) and which is enmeshable with the second indentation (67) (obviously when the second end (41) of the compensating unit (10) is arranged in the second guide channel);
[0136] - an upper synchronising roller (71), which is coaxial and solidly constrained to the upper gear (70); - a connecting element (218) which is conformed in a looped shape, which can flex to have a figure of “8” shape, wherein a lower portion of the connecting element (218) is arranged beneath the lower synchronising roller (69) and in direct contact therewith, and wherein an upper portion of the connecting element (218) is arranged above the upper synchronising roller (71) and in contact therewith so as to stretch the connecting element (218) in the figure of “8” shape and draw it along a path in the figure of “8” shape, when the lower gear (68) and the upper gear (70) are enmeshed, respectively with the first indentation (66) and with the second indentation (67) and rotate in opposite directions during the second activation of the sliding bar (11).
[0137] The connecting element (218) can advantageously be a strap, a cable, a wire, an indented strap with the ends joined to one another.
[0138] The first guide unit (7) and the relative first and third engaging elements, the compensating unit (10), the second guide unit (37) and the relative second, fourth and fifth engaging elements, and the second housing (42) can have a relative extension, measured parallel to the screening plane (21) which is at least equal to or greater than the extension of the screening portion of the cloth, also measured parallel to the screening plane (21).
[0139] It is understood that the above has been described by way of non-limiting example and that any constructional variants are considered to fall within the protective scope of the present technical solution, as claimed in the following.
