Abstract
Description
technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the field of garbage bags.
[0002] In particular, it relates to a garbage bag with a detachable tie, a roll of garbage bags with a detachable tie, and a method for manufacturing a garbage bag with a detachable tie. Technological background
[0003] Garbage bags can generally be differentiated according to their closure system.
[0004] Garbage bags with a tear-off tie have a tear-off tie (also called a "traditional tie" or "classic tie"), usually made of plastic, with one end welded to the bottom of the bag (at a bottom seam, such as a flat or star seam) and the other end free outside the bag. To close the bag, the user must first detach the tie from the bag and then manually tie it around the opening. Garbage bags with a tear-off tie are inexpensive but require two manual steps to close the bag as described above. Furthermore, the tear-off tie can sometimes be difficult for the user to find. It can also be lost, for example, by stepping on it, and thus end up in the environment as a pollutant.
[0005] There are garbage bags with a detachable tie from the "Practical Tie®" range by the "Handy Bag" brand, which, compared to traditional garbage bags with detachable ties, feature a detachable tie whose free end is attached to the top and outside of the bag with a sticker. However, this adhesive attachment of the detachable tie complicates the garbage bag manufacturing process.
[0006] Drawstring garbage bags have a drawstring, usually made of plastic, that is inserted into a hem at the top of the bag, near its opening. To close the bag, simply pull on the drawstring. Drawstring garbage bags are easy to close and carry thanks to the drawstring. However, they are often more expensive than garbage bags with a detachable drawstring. Furthermore, the drawstring can sometimes break if the bag is overfilled and therefore too heavy.
[0007] Garbage bags with handles typically have two or four integrated handles on each side of the bag's opening. To close the bag, simply tie the handles together. Garbage bags with handles are very easy to close and carry thanks to the handles, which provide a comfortable grip. However, garbage bags with handles offer a less secure closure than those with a detachable or drawstring closure. Furthermore, the handles can tear if the bag is overfilled and therefore too heavy.
[0008] The invention aims to further improve detachable tie garbage bags and their manufacturing processes, and in particular to remedy all or part of the above-mentioned drawbacks.
[0009] It aims in particular to further improve the sealing of garbage bags with detachable ties, to limit or even eliminate the risk for the user of not finding the detachable tie and / or to limit or even eliminate the risk of losing the detachable tie. Summary of the invention
[0010] Detachable drawstring garbage bag
[0011] The invention thus relates, according to one of its aspects, to a garbage bag with a detachable tie comprising: a first portion of a plastic film and a second portion of a plastic film, the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film overlapping, in particular totally, and being welded to each other along two lateral weld lines, in particular parallel, so as to form two lateral edges, in particular parallel, of the garbage bag, an opening, a bottom, opposite the opening, a detachable tie welded to the first portion of plastic film and / or to the second portion of plastic film at the level of at least one attachment area corresponding to, or located on, a portion of at least one of the two lateral weld lines.
[0012] By "mouth" we mean the opening of the garbage bag through which objects, such as waste, can be introduced into the garbage bag.
[0013] For example, we can also talk about the "mouth" to refer to the opening of the garbage bag.
[0014] A "detachable tie" is a tie that can be easily detached from the garbage bag by the user by pulling on it, unlike a drawstring tie. The detachable tie can then be manually knotted around the opening of the garbage bag to close it.
[0015] The detachable tie can be completely detached from the garbage bag, particularly at the attachment area(s).
[0016] The detachable tie can be configured to be completely detached from the garbage bag, particularly at the attachment area(s).
[0017] The detachable tie can be welded to the first and / or second portion of the plastic film at two attachment points corresponding to, or located on, a portion of each of the two lateral weld lines, so that it extends between the two lateral weld lines. This allows the detachable tie to have each of its ends welded to a respective lateral weld line, so that the detachable tie extends between the two lateral weld lines. This makes it easier for the user to locate the detachable tie compared to a detachable tie with one end free.
[0018] The detachable tie can be welded to the first and / or second portion of the plastic film only at a designated attachment point. In this case, the tie is preferably detachable at said attachment point.
[0019] Alternatively, the detachable tie is welded to the first and / or second plastic film sections only at two attachment points: one corresponding to, or located on, a portion of one of the two lateral weld lines, and the other corresponding to, or located on, a portion of the other lateral weld line. In this case, the tie is preferably detachable at each attachment point.
[0020] In one embodiment, the detachable tie extends between the first and second sections of plastic film. This allows the detachable tie to be positioned inside the garbage bag. Compared to a detachable tie positioned outside the garbage bag, this can limit or even eliminate the risk of losing the tie, for example, by stepping on it. It also allows the detachable tie to be positioned outside the bin when the garbage bag is placed inside the bin and the bag's opening covers the top of the bin. This makes it easier for the user to access the detachable tie when the garbage bag is inside the bin.
[0021] Preferably, the detachable tie extends across the width of the garbage bag, specifically between the two lateral weld lines.
[0022] Preferably, the detachable tie extends inside the garbage bag, specifically between the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film.
[0023] The attachment area(s) may be located at the upper third, preferably at the upper quarter, of the height of the garbage bag.
[0024] By "upper third of the height of the garbage bag" or "upper quarter of the height of the garbage bag", we mean respectively the third or quarter of the height of the garbage bag which is located at the level of the mouth of the garbage bag.
[0025] This allows the detachable tie to be positioned at the top of the bin bag, specifically at its opening. This can be advantageous, for example, when the bin bag is placed inside a bin and the opening of the bag covers the top of the bin, as the detachable tie is then positioned outside the bin. This makes it easier for the user to access the detachable tie when the bin bag is inside.
[0026] For example, the attachment area(s) is / are located over a distance less than or equal to 30 cm, preferably less than or equal to 20 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 10 cm, starting from the mouth and going towards the bottom of the garbage bag while following a lateral edge of the garbage bag.
[0027] In an example embodiment, the attachment area(s) is / are located over a distance less than or equal to 5 cm, preferably less than or equal to 4.5 cm, more preferably less than or equal to 4 cm, even more preferably less than or equal to 3.5 cm, starting from the mouth and going towards the bottom of the garbage bag while following a lateral edge of the garbage bag.
[0028] The mouthpiece may have two free edges.
[0029] The free edges are preferably parallel to each other.
[0030] The free edges are preferably perpendicular to the lateral edges.
[0031] In one example of the design, the mouthpiece is without a hem.
[0032] In another embodiment, the opening has a hem on both the first and second sections of plastic film. This can improve the strength of the garbage bag at its opening, which can be useful, for example, when the garbage bag is placed inside a bin and the opening of the bag covers the top of the bin. Furthermore, the presence of hems at the opening of the garbage bag, for example, hems extending outwards, can make it easier for the user to grip the bag, both for opening it and for inserting it into a bin.
[0033] Hems may have a height of 10 cm or less, preferably 7 cm or less, more preferably 6 cm or less, even more preferably 5 cm or less, or even 4 cm or less.
[0034] Additionally, hems may have a height greater than or equal to 2 cm.
[0035] For example, hems have a height between 2 cm and 7 cm, preferably between 2 cm and 6 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 5 cm, and even more preferably between 2 cm and 4 cm.
[0036] The hems may be 5 cm or less high, preferably 4.5 cm or less, more preferably 4 cm or less, and even more preferably 3.5 cm or less, in particular 3 cm or less, or even 2.5 cm or less. Thus, the hems can be reduced in height. This can allow for the use of less plastic film when making a garbage bag of a given height, or it can limit the reduction in the garbage bag's height caused by the presence of hems when making a garbage bag with a given quantity of plastic film.
[0037] The hems may have a height of between 1 cm and 5 cm, preferably between 1.5 cm and 4.5 cm, more preferably between 2 cm and 4 cm, even more preferably between 2.5 cm and 3.5 cm.
[0038] In one example of the design, the hems have a height between 1.5 cm and 3.5 cm, preferably between 1.7 cm and 3.3 cm, more preferably between 1.9 cm and 3.1 cm, even more preferably between 2.1 cm and 2.9 cm, especially between 2.3 cm and 2.7 cm.
[0039] In another example of implementation, the hems have a height between 2.5 cm and 4.5 cm, preferably between 2.7 cm and 4.3 cm, more preferably between 2.9 cm and 4.1 cm, even more preferably between 3.1 cm and 3.9 cm, notably between 3.3 cm and 3.7 cm.
[0040] The hems can be made towards the inside of the garbage bag or towards the outside of the garbage bag.
[0041] In one example, the hems are made on the outside of the garbage bag. The presence of such hems at the opening of the garbage bag can make it easier for the user to identify the opening.
[0042] The inside of the garbage bag can be black and / or the outside of the garbage bag can be grey.
[0043] In one example, the inside of the garbage bag is black and the outside is gray. Therefore, the first and second sections of plastic film can each have one black side and one gray side.
[0044] In one embodiment, the inside of the garbage bag is black, the outside is gray, and the opening has a hem on both the first and second sections of plastic film, with the hems extending outwards. In this embodiment, the visible hems on the outside of the garbage bag are therefore black, while the rest of the exterior is gray. This color difference makes it easier for the user to identify the opening of the garbage bag.
[0045] Preferably, each hem is welded, specifically only, along the two lateral weld lines.
[0046] Preferably, the detachable link is welded onto the portions of the side weld lines onto which the hems are welded.
[0047] Preferably, each hem is not welded along a line extending between the two side weld lines.
[0048] In a preferred embodiment, each hem is welded only along the two side weld lines. Thus, each hem is not additionally welded along a line extending between the two side weld lines, unlike the hems of drawstring garbage bags.
[0049] The attachment area(s) may be located at a portion of at least one, preferably each, of the two lateral weld lines which is located at the hems.
[0050] Therefore, the detachable tie is preferably welded at the hems. This is particularly advantageous as it can reinforce the garbage bag at the attachment point(s), thus limiting or even eliminating the risk of tearing the garbage bag at the side seams when the user detaches the tie from the garbage bag.
[0051] Ideally, the bottom of the garbage bag should not have a bottom seam. This can help to improve the bag's leak-proof seal.
[0052] The first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film can be defined by the same plastic film.
[0053] The said plastic film can be folded back on itself along a fold line so that the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film are on either side of the fold line.
[0054] The fold line can form the bottom of the garbage bag.
[0055] The detachable link may have a width less than or equal to 10 mm, preferably less than or equal to 8 mm, more preferably less than or equal to 7 mm, even more preferably less than or equal to 6 mm, or even less than or equal to 5 mm.
[0056] For example, the detachable link has a width of 8 mm, 5 mm, 4.5 mm or 4 mm.
[0057] In one example of an embodiment, the detachable link has a width between 7 mm and 9 mm, preferably between 7.2 mm and 8.8 mm, more preferably between 7.4 mm and 8.6 mm, even more preferably between 7.6 mm and 8.4 mm, in particular between 7.8 mm and 8.2 mm.
[0058] The first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film may have a thickness between 15 µm and 80 µm, preferably between 20 µm and 40 µm, more preferably between 24 µm and 37 µm.
[0059] The thickness of the first and second layers of plastic film can be chosen according to the desired strength, resistance, and leak-proofness. Indeed, the greater the thickness of the first and second layers of plastic film, the stronger, more resistant, and more leak-proof the garbage bag will be.
[0060] Preferably, the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film should have the same thickness.
[0061] The detachable link can have a thickness between 15 µm and 35 µm, preferably between 20 µm and 30 µm, more preferably between 24 µm and 28 µm.
[0062] The first portion of plastic film, the second portion of plastic film and the detachable link can each be made of a hot melt material, preferably chosen from a polyethylene and / or polypropylene-based material, more preferably chosen from a polyethylene-based material, even more preferably chosen from a low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and / or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)-based material, or even chosen from a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and / or high-density polyethylene (HDPE)-based material.
[0063] The hot melt material, preferably chosen from a polyethylene and / or polypropylene-based material, more preferably chosen from a polyethylene-based material, even more preferably chosen from a low-density polyethylene (LDPE), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and / or linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE)-based material, or even chosen from a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and / or high-density polyethylene (HDPE)-based material, may be a material that is at least partly recycled or not.
[0064] Preferably, the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film are made of the same hot-melt material.
[0065] The first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film, on the one hand, and the detachable link, on the other hand, can be made of the same hot melt material or be made of different hot melt materials.
[0066] For example, the first portion of plastic film and the second portion of plastic film are made of a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) based material.
[0067] For example, the detachable link is made of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) based material.
[0068] The garbage bag can have a capacity between 5 L and 150 L, including a capacity of 10 L, 20 L, 30 L, 40 L, 50 L, 100 L or 130 L.
[0069] The width of the garbage bag is equal to the distance between the side edges of the garbage bag.
[0070] The height of the garbage bag is equal to the distance between the bottom and the mouth of the garbage bag, specifically the distance between the fold line and the free edges of the garbage bag.
[0071] In one example, the detachable tie has a length equal to the width of the garbage bag.
[0072] This is particularly advantageous because the detachable tie is shorter than that of prior art detachable tie garbage bags, which are generally the same length as the height of the bag. The garbage bag according to the invention can therefore reduce the length of the detachable tie, thus saving material and resulting in less plastic waste.
[0073] Preferably, the detachable link is free from any line or incipient tear, in particular a pre-cut line.
[0074] Such a line or tear line, in particular a pre-cut line, can allow the detachable link to be broken into two separate parts.
[0075] Preferably, the detachable link should not be breakable into two separate parts.
[0076] The lateral weld lines are preferably continuous.
[0077] The width of the lateral weld lines can be between 0.5 mm and 3 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 2.5 mm, more preferably between 1.5 mm and 2 mm.
[0078] Welding methods can include induction welding, high-frequency welding, ultrasonic welding, conduction welding, laser welding, or hot gas heating.
[0079] Preferably, the garbage bag complies with the NF EN 13592 standard, particularly in terms of opacity, mechanical resistance, leak-proofness, and resistance of the detachable tie.
[0080] Roll of garbage bags with detachable tie
[0081] The invention also relates, according to another of its aspects, to a roll of garbage bags with detachable ties as defined above.
[0082] The roll of garbage bags can contain between 3 and 100 garbage bags, preferably between 4 and 50 garbage bags, more preferably between 5 and 35 garbage bags.
[0083] In one embodiment, the garbage bags are pre-cut and rolled around an axis parallel to the lateral weld lines of the garbage bags so as to form a continuous roll of pre-cut garbage bags.
[0084] In another embodiment, the garbage bags are detached from each other and wound around an axis parallel to the lateral weld lines of the garbage bags so that the garbage bags overlap within the roll (also called a "bag-to-bag", "interleaf" or "interleaved" roll). Method for manufacturing a garbage bag with a detachable tie
[0085] The invention also relates, according to another aspect, to a method for manufacturing a garbage bag with a detachable tie as defined above, the method comprising the steps of: a) to have a plastic film in the form of a half-sheath, the plastic film comprising: a fold line, a first portion and a second portion, separated by the fold line, the plastic film being folded back on itself along the fold line so that the first portion and the second portion overlap, in particular completely, b) to position the detachable tie between the first portion and the second portion of the plastic film at the level of a first lateral weld line, preferably perpendicular to the fold line of the plastic film, c) to make a weld along the first lateral weld line so as to, on the one hand, weld the detachable tie to the first portion and to the second portion, and on the other hand, weld the first portion to the second portion thus forming a first lateral edge of the garbage bag, d) to extend the detachable tie from the first lateral weld line to a second lateral weld line, preferably distinct and parallel to the first lateral weld line, between the first and second portions of the plastic film, preferably in a direction parallel to the fold line, e) make a weld along the second lateral weld line so as to, on the one hand, weld the detachable tie to the first and second portions, and on the other hand, weld the first portion to the second portion, thus forming a second lateral edge of the garbage bag.
[0086] Preferably, the fold line forms the bottom of the garbage bag.
[0087] Preferably, the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath has two free edges, opposite the fold line.
[0088] Preferably, the two free edges are parallel to each other and parallel to the fold line.
[0089] Preferably, the free edges form the opening of the garbage bag.
[0090] Preferably, the detachable link is packaged in the form of a reel.
[0091] Step b) can be implemented by introducing a tube, in particular a metallic one, for example made of aluminium, between the first portion and the second portion of the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath, with the detachable link located inside the tube.
[0092] Thus, the tube can act as a guide for the detachable link as it scrolls.
[0093] The tube can be inserted at the free edges of the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath, preferably perpendicular to the fold line.
[0094] Preferably, the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath is wound around an axis perpendicular to the fold line so as to form a roll.
[0095] Preferably, the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath is obtained from a plastic film in the form of a sheath, in particular by cutting the sheath along a cutting line extending along the longitudinal axis of the sheath.
[0096] In an example embodiment, the process includes, before step a), the steps of: have a plastic film in the form of a sleeve, then cut the sleeve along a cutting line extending along the longitudinal axis of the sleeve, so as to form two plastic films in the form of half a sleeve.
[0097] In this embodiment example, the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath from step a) is one of two plastic films in the form of a half-sheath obtained after the sheath cutting step.
[0098] In this example of implementation, the sheath cutting step can allow the creation of two free edges on each of the two plastic films in the form of half-sheaths obtained.
[0099] Preferably, the plastic film in the form of a sheath has two parallel fold lines extending along the longitudinal axis of the sheath.
[0100] The cutting line is located between the two fold lines, preferably halfway between the two fold lines.
[0101] Preferably, the cutting line and the two folding lines are parallel to each other.
[0102] Preferably, the plastic film in the form of a sleeve is wound around an axis perpendicular to the cutting line so as to form a roll.
[0103] In an example embodiment, the process includes, between steps a) and b), the step consisting of: to create a print on the plastic film in the form of a half-sheath.
[0104] The printout may include one or more alphanumeric characters and / or one or more logos.
[0105] Preferably, the printing process is carried out in a marked manner.
[0106] For example, a cylinder is used around which the garbage bag is wound, the perimeter of the cylinder's base being equal to the width of the garbage bag. Thus, when the cylinder makes one revolution, it corresponds to the impression of a garbage bag.
[0107] In one embodiment example, the process includes, after step e), the step of: f) making at least one pre-cut along the first lateral weld line and / or the second lateral weld line.
[0108] Step f) can make it easier to cut between 2 adjacent garbage bags, and in particular to cut the detachable link between 2 adjacent garbage bags. Brief description of the figures

Description of method(s) of implementation
[0110] In the figures, and unless otherwise specified, identical elements shall bear the same reference symbols.
[0111] An example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is shown in the figure 1 .
[0112] The garbage bag 1 comprises: a first portion 2 of a plastic film and a second portion 3 of a plastic film, the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film overlapping, in particular totally, and being welded to each other along two lateral weld lines 4, 5, in particular parallel, so as to form two lateral edges 6, 7, in particular parallel, of the garbage bag 1, an opening 8, a bottom 9, opposite the opening 8, a detachable link 10 welded to the first portion 2 of plastic film and / or to the second portion 3 of plastic film at the level of at least one attachment area 11 corresponding to, or located on, a portion of at least one of the two lateral weld lines 4,5.
[0113] In the example illustrated in the figure 1 , the detachable link 10 has one end welded at the attachment area 11 and a free end 12.
[0114] In this example, the detachable tie 10 extends between the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film. The detachable tie 10 is thus positioned inside the garbage bag 1.
[0115] In this example, the mouthpiece 8 has two free edges 13, 14.
[0116] As illustrated in the figure 1, the attachment zone 11 is located at the upper third of the height of the garbage bag 1, and therefore in the upper part of the garbage bag 1.
[0117] Another example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is shown in the following: figures 2 to 4 .
[0118] In the example illustrated in figures 2 to 4 , the detachable link 10 is welded to the first portion 2 of plastic film and / or to the second portion 3 of plastic film at two attachment areas 11, 15 corresponding to, or located on, a portion of each of the two lateral weld lines 4, 5, so as to extend between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.
[0119] As illustrated in figures 2 to 4 , the attachment zones 11, 15 are located at the upper third of the height of the garbage bag 1, and therefore in the upper part of the garbage bag 1.
[0120] As illustrated in the figure 4 , the detachable link 10 has a width l and a length L.
[0121] The width l of the detachable link 10 is preferably less than or equal to 10 mm, preferably less than or equal to 8 mm, more preferably less than or equal to 7 mm, even more preferably less than or equal to 6 mm, or even less than or equal to 5 mm.
[0122] The length L of the detachable tie 10 is preferably equal to the width of the garbage bag, i.e. equal to the distance between the lateral edges 6,7 of the garbage bag.
[0123] THE figures 5, 6 And 7 are sections according to planes VV, VI-VI and VII-VII, respectively, of the figure 4 .
[0124] As illustrated on the figure 7 , the bottom 9 of garbage bag 1 is without a bottom weld.
[0125] Indeed, the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film are defined by the same plastic film, this plastic film being folded over itself along a fold line 90 so that the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film are on either side of the fold line 90, the fold line 90 then constituting the bottom 9 of the garbage bag 1.
[0126] Another example of a garbage bag 1 with a detachable tie according to the invention is shown in the following: figures 8 to 10 Compared to the detachable tie-side garbage bag 1 shown in the figures 2 to 4 , the 1-piece detachable tie garbage bag shown in figures 8 to 10 includes an opening 8 having a hem 20 on each of the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film.
[0127] Thus, the garbage bag 1 with detachable tie shown in figures 8 to 10has 20 hems at its mouth.
[0128] The hems 20 are made towards the outside of the garbage bag 1. One of the hems 20 is formed by folding the first portion 2 of plastic film over itself, and the other hem 20 is formed by folding the second portion 3 of plastic film over itself.
[0129] The hems 20 have a height h less than or equal to 5 cm, in particular a height between 2.5 cm and 4.5 cm, preferably between 2.7 cm and 4.3 cm, more preferably between 2.9 cm and 4.1 cm, even more preferably between 3.1 cm and 3.9 cm, in particular between 3.3 cm and 3.7 cm.
[0130] Each hem 20 is welded only along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5. Thus, each hem is not welded, additionally, along a line extending between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5, unlike the hems of drawstring garbage bags.
[0131] As illustrated in the Figure 10 , the detachable link 10 has a width l and a length L.
[0132] The width l of the detachable link 10 is preferably between 7 mm and 9 mm, preferably between 7.2 mm and 8.8 mm, more preferably between 7.4 mm and 8.6 mm, even more preferably between 7.6 mm and 8.4 mm, in particular between 7.8 mm and 8.2 mm.
[0133] The length L of the detachable tie 10 is preferably equal to the width of the garbage bag, i.e. equal to the distance between the lateral edges 6,7 of the garbage bag.
[0134] THE figures 11, 12 , 13 and 14are sections according to plans XI-XI, XII-XII, XIII-XIII and XIV-XIV, respectively, of the Figure 10 .
[0135] As illustrated in Figures 11 and 12 , the hems 20 are welded along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.
[0136] As illustrated in the figure 12 , the detachable link 10 is welded, at each of its ends, to the first portion 2 of plastic film and to the second portion 3 of plastic film at two attachment areas 11, 15.
[0137] The attachment area 11 is located on a portion of the lateral weld line 5, this portion being located on the height of the hem 20.
[0138] The attachment area 15 is located on a portion of the lateral weld line 4, this portion being located on the height of the hem 20.
[0139] Thus, the detachable link 10 is welded along the two lateral weld lines 4, 5 at the hems 20.
[0140] As illustrated in the figure 12 , the detachable link 10 extends between the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film, that is to say it extends inside the garbage bag between the two lateral weld lines 4, 5.
[0141] As illustrated on the figure 14 , the bottom 9 of garbage bag 1 is without a bottom weld.
[0142] Indeed, the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film are defined by the same plastic film, this plastic film being folded over itself along a fold line 90 so that the first portion 2 of plastic film and the second portion 3 of plastic film are on either side of the fold line 90, the fold line 90 then constituting the bottom 9 of the garbage bag 1.
[0143] As illustrated in the figure 14, the hems 20 are not welded along a line extending between the two side weld lines 4, 5, unlike the hems of drawstring garbage bags.
