Abstract
Cargo Box and Coupling System. The invention relates to new logistics and combined transport systems scaled to the city level, enabling the inclusion of river transport in last-mile delivery. To this end, the invention relies, firstly, on a multimodal cargo box (1) equipped with corner attachments allowing the box to be joined with two other identical boxes to form a single unit (100) with a footprint comparable to a standard shipping container. Secondly, it relies on a coupling system for last-mile delivery of the cargo box, comprising a linkage system for attaching it to a vehicle and a receiving structure for securing the cargo box. This structure includes a guidance system with at least one stop and / or guide cones to aid in positioning the cargo box on the vehicle. (See Fig. 7 for abbreviated version.)
