Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: REFILLABLE CASING FOR POWDERY COSMETIC PRODUCT Technical field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a case for a powdered cosmetic product comprising a base and a cover for closing the base, the base comprising:
[0002] - a base comprising a housing opening axially upwards, a section upper part of the housing being delimited radially by a cylindrical wall and axially downwards by an annular bearing face;
[0003] - a container enclosing a cavity which contains said product, the container being received removably in the housing, the container having an axial opening surrounded by a rim which rests on the bearing face;
[0004] - a ring for fixing the container by tightening the rim of the container against the face of scope. Technical background
[0005] Various examples of the design of a case (or container) intended to receive a powdered cosmetic product, such as loose powder or other similar products used for makeup, are known from the state of the art.
[0006] In particular, housings are known in which the cavity containing the cosmetic product is delimited by flexible walls so that a bottom wall of the cavity can be lifted without significant effort by a user's finger. This thus makes it possible to bring the desired quantity of cosmetic product to a sieve which is stretched in the opening of the cavity.
[0007] Such a cavity is very advantageous because it allows the desired quantity of cosmetic product to be obtained without the risk of spilling it next to the case and without any particular effort. In addition, such a cavity allows access to almost all of the cosmetic product present in the cavity.
[0008] Furthermore, to best preserve the environment, it is preferable to avoid having to buy an entire box when you want to renew or change your cosmetic product.
[0009] To solve this problem, it has already been proposed to produce boxes capable of being refilled with cosmetic product containers. Such containers contain little material and are therefore simpler to manufacture and then recycle.
[0010] However, current containers have walls that are sufficiently rigid to be easily handled during replacement and to properly maintain the cosmetic product during use.
[0011] However, there is a need to be able to easily and cleanly replace containers with a wall that is too flexible to be handled without deformation in existing housings. Summary of the invention
[0012] The invention relates to a case for a powdered cosmetic product comprising a base and a cover for closing the base, the base comprising:
[0013] - a base comprising a housing opening axially upwards, a section upper part of the housing being delimited radially by a cylindrical wall and axially downwards by an annular bearing face;
[0014] - a container containing a cavity which contains said product, the container being received removably in the housing, the container having an axial opening surrounded by a rim which rests on the bearing face;
[0015] - a ring for fixing the container by tightening the rim of the container against the face of scope;
[0016] The housing is characterized in that the cylindrical wall comprises at least two opposite notches which give access at least to the rim of the container, the ring being fixed by removable fixing means in the housing, two lateral gripping faces of the fixing ring being accessible through the notches, the fixing ring comprising means for angular indexing of the fixing ring by cooperation with the notches.
[0017] According to another aspect of the invention, the ring is fixed to the base by elastic fitting fixing means in an axial direction.
[0018] According to another aspect of the invention, the ring comprises two axial extension tabs which are elastically deformable in flexion and which are intended to be elastically fitted with two notches carried by the base to form said elastic fitting fixing means.
[0019] According to another aspect of the invention, the notches are arranged in line with the notches, each tab having an upper portion comprising the gripping face which is arranged in coincidence with an associated notch, the tabs being able to be forced into a state of disengagement from the notches by radial pinching of their upper portion through the notches.
[0020] According to another aspect of the invention, the angular indexing means comprise at least one projection which extends from the gripping face of each tab and which is intended to be fitted axially with the associated notch.
[0021] According to another aspect of the invention, the container comprises a flexible screen which is stretched across its opening.
[0022] According to another aspect of the invention, the sieve is fixed on the rim of the container by through a framework.
[0023] According to another aspect of the invention, the frame has at its periphery a sealing lip against which the ring is intended to be tightened.
[0024] According to another aspect of the invention, the container has at least one wall sufficiently flexible so that a bottom wall of the container can be easily lifted by a user's finger until it comes into contact with the sieve.
[0025] According to another aspect of the invention, the bottom of the base has a window for accessing the bottom wall of the container.
[0026] According to another aspect of the invention, the fixing ring is housed over its entire height in the cylindrical wall of the base masking a peripheral wall of the fixing ring.
[0027] According to another aspect of the invention, the gripping face is formed by a portion of the peripheral wall. Brief description of the figures

[0036] In the remainder of the description, elements having an identical structure or similar functions will be designated by the same reference.
[0037] In the remainder of the description, an axial orientation parallel to a main axis of the housing will be adopted, without limitation, and indicated by the arrow "A" which is directed from bottom to top. Radial orientations will also be adopted which extend radially relative to the main axis of the housing, from the inside to the outside. Tangential orientations will also be adopted which are orthogonal to the axial and radial orientations.
[0038] In the embodiments of the housing shown in the figures, said main axis constitutes an axis of rotation for screwing the cover onto a base of the housing.
[0039] The terms "top" and "bottom", "above" and "below", "upper" and "lower" are used as a geometric reference in relation to the axial orientation as shown in the figures and independently of the direction of Earth's gravity.
[0040] [Fig. 1] shows a case 10 for a powdered cosmetic product in the closed position and, in [Fig. 2], the same case 10 in the open position.
[0041] A powdery cosmetic product is, for example, made up of loose powder intended to be used for makeup. It is, for example, a powdery cosmetic product applied to the face using an applicator (not shown), in particular by means of a brush or a sponge (or any other equivalent means).
[0042] Preferably, the powdered cosmetic product is intended to be applied by means of a brush which is here separate from said housing 10.
[0043] The housing 10 for a powdered cosmetic product comprises at least one cover 12 and a base 14 which are mounted to move relative to each other between at least one closed position, shown in [Fig. 1], and an open position of the housing 10, shown in [Fig. 2], in which the cover 12 is removed from the base 14.
[0044] The cover 12 is intended to be screwed onto an associated thread 34 of the base 14. The housing 10 has a main axis O determining the axial direction. The base 14 is located at the bottom and the cover 12 at the top. The cover 12 is more particularly intended to be screwed by rotation around the main axis O onto the base 14.
[0045] The cover 12 and the base 14 have a complementary shape giving the housing 10 its aesthetic appearance, particularly in the closed position.
[0046] In a non-limiting manner, the housing 10 has a generally cylindrical shape of revolution centered on said main axis O.
[0047] Alternatively, the housing could have another general shape, in particular parallelepiped, in particular a square or rectangular shape.
[0048] Advantageously, the housing 10 is a “compact” type housing, that is to say sized so that it can be transported, in particular but not exclusively in a bag, for example a user’s handbag.
[0049] Preferably, the cover 12 is removable relative to the base 14, that is to say that the cover 12 is separated from the base 14 in the open position of the housing 10 as shown in [Fig.2].
[0050] Alternatively, the cover could be connected to the base by means of a flexible fastener allowing it to be screwed and unscrewed from the base.
[0051] The base 14 comprises a cavity 16 for receiving said product, visible for example at [Fig.6]. The cavity 16 opens axially upwards through an opening 18 into a bowl 20 open axially upwards, outside the base.
[0052] A sieve 22 equipped with product passage orifices is arranged in the opening 18 to form a boundary between the cavity 16 and the bowl 20.
[0053] As shown in more detail in Figures 4 and 5, the base 14 comprises several assembled components.
[0054] The base 14 comprises a base 24, a container 26 and a ring 28 for fixing the container 26 in the base 24. This configuration makes it possible to replace the container 26 when it is empty or when it is desired to change the cosmetic product in a clean and rapid manner, while retaining the rest of the housing 10. This configuration is therefore both economical and ecological.
[0055] For this purpose, the base 24 comprises a housing 29. The housing 29 is divided into two sections. A lower section 30 of the housing 29 is intended to receive the container 26, while an upper section 31 of the housing 29 is intended to receive the bowl 20 making it possible to take powdered cosmetic product from the sieve 22 using an applicator without the risk of spreading it everywhere.
[0056] The upper section 31 of the housing 29 is delimited radially by a cylindrical wall 32. The cylindrical wall 32 has on its external face the thread 34 for screwing the cover 12. The cylindrical wall 32 has a free upper end edge 35.
[0057] At the junction between the lower section 30 and the upper section 31 of the housing 29, an annular bearing face 36 facing axially upwards is arranged. The annular bearing face 36 surrounds a passage to allow the container 26 to be housed in the lower section 30 of the housing 29, as will be explained later. This bearing wall 36 is here formed by a shoulder, the diameter of the lower section 30 being less than the diameter of the upper section 31 of the housing 29.
[0058] The container 26 here encloses the cavity 16 which contains said cosmetic product. The container 26 is removably received in the housing 29 of the base 24.
[0059] The cavity 16 is delimited radially by a peripheral wall 38 and axially downwards by a bottom wall 40, visible for example in [Fig.6]. The screen 22 is intended to be fixed on an upper end edge 42 of the peripheral wall 38. The edge 42 radially delimits the axial opening 18 of the cavity 16 upwards.
[0060] In the embodiment shown in the figures, at least one of the peripheral wall 38 and the bottom wall 40 is made of a material that is sufficiently flexible for a user to be able to lift the bottom wall 40 in order to bring it into contact with the sieve 22 by simply pressing on the bottom wall 40 with a finger of the hand. For this purpose, the housing 29 of the base 24 is closed downwards by a bottom 41 which is perforated with a window 43 for access to the bottom wall 40 of the container 26.
[0061] Such an arrangement thus makes it possible to pass cosmetic product above the sieve 22 by lifting the bottom wall 40, without having to tip the container 26 to drop the cosmetic product.
[0062] The sieve 22 is here a flexible sieve which is for example produced in the form of a grid, made of nylon or other material, consisting of a set of meshes each delimiting one of the orifices for the passage of the powdered cosmetic product out of the cavity.
[0063] The screen 22 is stretched across the opening 18 of the container 26. To maintain this tension despite the flexibility of the wall 38 of the container 26, the screen 22 is here carried by a frame 44 of a shape complementary to that of the contour of the opening 18, here of circular shape, centered on the main axis O. The frame 44 is made of a material much more rigid than the peripheral wall 38 and / or the bottom wall 40 of the container 26. The frame 44 is sufficiently rigid to maintain the tension in the screen 22.
[0064] The frame 44 is for example made of a plastic material overmolded on the periphery of the sieve 22.
[0065] The screen 22 is mounted on the edge 42 of the container 26 by means of the frame 44. The frame 44 is more particularly mounted by elastic interlocking on the upper edge 42 of the container 26. Thus, the container 26 and the screen 22 are fixed to each other to form a single component that is easy to house in the base 24 and to replace. The frame 44 makes it possible to give the upper end of the peripheral wall 38 greater rigidity. The container 26 thus retains an opening 18 of the same shape, here circular, permanently during use of the housing 10.
[0066] The container 26 further comprises a rim 46 which surrounds the opening 18, as shown in FIGS. 5 and 6. The rim 46 projects radially outward from the upper edge 42 of the peripheral wall 38. The frame 44 of the screen 22 makes it possible to stiffen the structure of the peripheral wall 38 at the edge 42, as well as at the rim 46.
[0067] When the container 26 is positioned in its housing 29, it rests by means of its rim 46 which rests on the bearing face 36 of the base 24, as shown in [Fig.6]. The peripheral wall 28 is here entirely masked by the base 24.
[0068] Since the container 26 has a very flexible structure, it would be complicated to extract it from the top of the housing 29 by exerting pressure through the window 43 without spreading the rest of the powder it contains outside. It is therefore preferable to be able to grasp it by a more rigid part, namely by the rim 46, made more rigid by the frame 44.
[0069] To allow the container 26 to be easily grasped by the frame 44 and / or the rim 46, the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24 has at least two radially opposite notches 48 which provide access at least to the rim 46 of the container 26. The notches 48 are made in the upper edge 35 of the cylindrical wall 32. They extend downwards to the bearing face 36. Each notch 48 allows a user to grasp the rim 46 by squeezing it diametrically with the pads of two fingers.
[0070] The ring 28 for fixing the container 26 is fixed by removable fixing means in the housing 29 by tightening the rim 46 of the container 26 against the bearing face 36, as illustrated in [Fig. 6]. The ring 28 thus firmly holds the container 26 in its housing 29.
[0071] The fixing ring 28 comprises a peripheral wall 50 which has an external diameter slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24 so that the ring 28 is received in the upper section 31 of the housing 29 with radial clearance allowing its assembly and disassembly, as illustrated in [Fig. 3]. The ring 28 being received in the cylindrical wall 32, it does not interfere with the thread 34 located on the external face of the cylindrical wall 32, as shown in [Fig. 7].
[0072] The peripheral wall 50 is received in a peripheral gap which is reserved between the rim 46 of the container 26 and the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24.
[0073] A lower end edge of the peripheral wall 50 of the fixing ring 28 is here intended to come into contact with an annular shoulder face of the upper section 31 of the housing 29 which is stepped above towards the outside relative to the bearing face 36 when the fixing ring 28 is mounted in the base 24.
[0074] The fixing ring 28 also comprises an annular upper wall 52 inclined towards the opening 18 of the container 26 which radially delimits the bowl 20. The upper wall 52 extends radially inwards from an upper end edge of the peripheral wall 50. The upper wall 52 thus forms a funnel which allows the cosmetic product to slide towards the sieve 22. For this purpose, the upper wall 52 has an internal diameter which is substantially equal to the diameter of the sieve 22.
[0075] The fixing ring 28 is housed over its entire height in the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24, that is to say that it does not protrude above the upper edge 35 of the cylindrical wall 32. For this purpose, the fixing ring 28 here has a height less than or equal to the height between the shoulder face 49 and the upper end edge 35 of the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24. The peripheral wall 50 is thus masked by the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24. Thus, only the upper face of the upper wall 52 of the fixing ring 28 is visible.
[0076] As illustrated in Figures 5 and 6, the upper wall 52 has a lower annular face 54 which is intended to press against the rim 46 of the container 26 over its entire periphery when the fixing ring 28 is mounted in the base 24. The annular face 54 here presses on the rim 26 via the frame 44 of the sieve 22. Thus, the fixing ring 28 firmly holds the container 26 in position in its housing 29. The rim 46 is axially clamped between the fixing ring 28 and the bearing face 36.
[0077] The fixing ring 28 is mounted in a sealed manner around the container 26. For this purpose, the frame 44 has a flexible sealing lip 56 which extends radially outwards from the periphery of the frame 44. An annular bead 57 which extends from a lower face of the upper wall 52 of the fixing ring 28 is intended to come into tight axial contact against the lip 54 to guarantee a good seal preventing the cosmetic product from passing between the container 26 and the fixing ring 28 when the fixing ring 28 is mounted on the base 24.
[0078] The fixing ring 28 is here fixed to the base 24 by elastic fitting fixing means in an axial direction. For this purpose, the fixing ring 28 comprises two elastically deformable axial extension fixing lugs 58 in flexion. Each fixing lug 58 is provided at its free lower end with a stud 60 which is intended to be fitted, here radially outwards, in a notch 62 of the base 24. Thus, each fixing lug 58 is flexible between a state of fitting the stud 60 into its notch 62, towards which it is elastically returned, as shown in [Fig. 6], and a state of disengagement, in which it is bent radially inwards and in which it is stressed against the elastic return force, not shown.
[0079] An upper portion of the fixing lugs 58, ensuring the connection with the rest of the ring 28, is formed by a part of the peripheral wall 50 delimited, along the circumference of the ring 28, by two axial slots 64 which are made in the peripheral wall 50 and which open downwards, as shown in [Fig. 5]. These two slots 64 thus promote the flexibility of each fixing lug 58.
[0080] Each clamp 60 is arranged at a lower end of a lower portion of each fixing tab 58 which extends axially projecting from a lower edge of the upper portion formed in the peripheral wall 50.
[0081] The fixing lugs 58 are here two in number and they are arranged diametrically opposite relative to the main axis O of the housing 10.
[0082] The notches 62 are here arranged in line with the notches 48 as shown in [Fig. 6]. The notches 62 are more particularly arranged below the bearing face 36. The notches 62 are accessible to the lugs 58 via passages made in the shoulder face 49. The upper portion of each lug 58 is arranged to coincide with a notch 48. This upper portion has a lateral face 65 for gripping the fixing ring 28 which is accessible through the notch 48. Each lateral gripping face 65 is thus formed by a portion of the external face of the peripheral wall 50 of the fixing ring 28. This dis position allows a user to urge the fixing tabs 58 into their disengaged state by urging them directly with their fingers through the notches 48 by radial pinching. Thus, the fixing ring 28 is easily removable.
[0083] To enable the fixing ring 28 to be correctly positioned relative to the base 24, the fixing ring 28 comprises angular indexing means by cooperation with the notches 48.
[0084] The angular indexing means comprise at least one projection 66 which extends radially outwards from the lateral gripping face 65 of at least one fixing lug 58, here of the two fixing lugs 58. The projection 66 is axially fitted with the associated notch 48. These projections 66 abut against the upper edge 35 of the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24 when they are not aligned with a notch 48. Each projection 66 here has a thickness equal to the thickness of the cylindrical wall 32 of the base 24. This makes it possible in particular to prevent the projection 66 from interfering with the screwing of the cover 12.
[0085] The projections 66 also make it possible to immobilize the ring 28 in rotation around the main axis O relative to the base 24.
[0086] The cover 12 for closing the housing 29 is intended to be screwed onto the thread 34 of the base 24 between a completely unscrewed position, as shown in [Fig.2], and a completely screwed position, as shown in [Fig.1], in which it is axially brought closer to the screen 22 to allow the cavity 16 to be sealed. The screwing is carried out by rotating the cover 12 around the main axis O of the housing 10.
[0087] To facilitate the recycling of the housing 10, the fixing ring 28 and the base 24 are made of one or more materials which can be processed by the same recycling process.
[0088] Preferably, the base 24 and the fixing ring 28 are made of a plastic material.
[0089] The plastic material may be chosen from polypropylene (PP), recycled polypropylene (R-PP), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), recycled polyethylene terephthalate (R-PET), a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), polyethylene (PE), such as low density polyethylene (LDPE) and / or high density polyethylene (HDPE), a composite material, a post-consumer recycled material (PCR and / or a similar material). Preferably, it is recycled or non-recycled polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.
[0090] Advantageously, all the parts, namely the base 24, the fixing ring 28 and the cover 12 are made of plastic material chosen from polypropylene and / or polyethylene terephthalate.
[0091] Furthermore, the use of plastic materials, in particular plastic materials similar for the entire pot makes recycling easier. In particular, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate are two plastics whose recycling cycle is well known.
[0092] The base 24, the fixing ring 28 and the cover 12 can be produced by 3D printing. Such a printing method makes it possible in particular to produce these parts very freely, presenting patterns and shapes contributing to the aesthetic appearance of the housing 10.
[0093] The fixing ring 28 and the base 24 are for example made of polypropylene (PP).
[0094] When replacing a container 26, the cover 12 of the housing 10 is first removed. Then the user places the base 14 by its bottom 41 in one hand, leaving the cylindrical wall 32 accessible. With the other hand, he pinches between two fingers the upper portions of the diametrically opposed fixing lugs 58 through the notches 48. This same action allows the user to grasp the fixing ring 28. With the lugs 58 thus forced into their disengaged state, the user can freely slide the fixing ring 28 axially upwards so as to extract it from the housing 29.
[0095] Then, after having removed the fixing ring 28, the user grasps the container 26 between two fingers of his free hand by its edges 46 through the notches 48. He can then lift the container 26 equipped with its sieve 22 to extract it from its housing 29. Given that the frame 44 makes the upper edge 42 of the container 26 sufficiently rigid, the container 26 does not deform and the cosmetic product remaining inside the container 26 does not spill outside.
[0096] This arrangement therefore makes it possible to handle the flexible-walled container 26 without risk.
[0097] The user can then insert a new container 26 equipped with its sieve 22 into the housing 29 by grasping it by its rim 46 between two diametrically opposed fingers. The fingers can accompany the container 26 by passing through the notches 48 until it is placed on the bearing face 36.
[0098] The user can then insert the fixing ring 28 into the upper section 31 of the housing 29 to fix the new container 26 in place. The projections 66 make it possible to correctly orient the fixing ring 28 so that the fixing tabs 58 are introduced in coincidence with the notches 48 to be automatically elastically fitted with their notch 62. To do this, the user only has to push the fixing ring 28 axially downwards. For this purpose, the crampons 60 are for example provided with an inclined ramp which allows them to flex automatically by contact by sliding towards the notch 62 before being elastically returned to their fitted state once they are opposite the notch 62.
[0099] The invention therefore allows a user to cleanly and quickly replace a container 26 with a very flexible wall.
