Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Two-compartment insulated water bottle technical field
[0001] The invention described in this document relates to a reusable stainless steel (BPA-free) insulated water bottle comprising two sealed compartments welded together. This water bottle is accompanied by two insulated cups, designed to hold beverages intended for personal consumption. Technical description of the invention:
[0002] Description: The 2-compartment insulated water bottle is a reusable stainless steel water bottle of novel design comprising 2 separate leak-proof and insulated compartments (1 and 1') intended to hold liquids such as "drinks", as well as 2 screw-on caps (3 and 3') fitted with thick silicone seals (6 and 6') to ensure leak-proofness, and 2 lids corresponding to 2 cups (5 and 5'), also screw-on, and "customizable" (according to fashion, certain sporting events or other highlights, everyone's hobbies...).
[0003] The two leak-proof compartments (1 and 1') can have the same or different capacities. They are made of 18 / 10 stainless steel (BPA-free - Bisphenol A), and welded to each other at their base (2). They are regularly cylindrical in shape, except for the neck (4 and 4') of each compartment (1 and 1') which has a smaller diameter than the body of the bottle, in order to accommodate a screw-on closure cap (8 and 8') for each compartment (1 and 1') as well as the screw-on cup (5 and 5') that covers it.
[0004] Vacuum air insulation (9 and 9') is used in association with a copper lining (10 and 10') covering the inside of the insulating walls containing the air, up to each of the 2 necks (4 and 4'), in order to guarantee very good preservation of the temperature of the stored liquids (hot and cold drinks).
[0005] A screw-on stainless steel cap (3 and 3') hermetically seals each compartment (1 and 1') of the bottle using a thick silicone seal (6 and 6').
[0006] Each cap (3 and 3') is covered with an insulated cup (5 and 5') also benefiting from the same manufacturing technologies and therefore the same properties in terms of insulation and sanitary safety (Stainless steel, vacuum insulation).
[0007] Each associated cap (3 and 3') has a thick silicone seal (6 and 6') to ensure a perfect seal. It has raised circular notches (7 and 7') on its external part allowing it to be screwed onto each neck (4 and 4').
[0008] Each of the 2 necks of the gourd (4 and 4') is characterized by complementary interlocking circular notches (11 and 11') which will allow each cap (3 and 3') to be screwed onto the neck (4 and 4') of the gourd.
[0009] The two associated cups (5 and 5') shall have raised circular notches (12 and 12') on their upper inner part, allowing them to be easily and quickly screwed onto each distal part of the flask, i.e., onto the two necks (4 and 4'). Each of the two necks of the flask (4 and 4') is characterized by complementary interlocking external circular notches (13 and 13') which allow the cups to be screwed onto the two compartments of the flask (1 and 1'), on the neck sides (4 and 4'). [0027] 13 and 13': external circular notches located at the neck (4 and 4') of each compartment (1 and 1') and complementary to the raised circular notches (12 and 12') of the cups (5 and 5') (therefore nestable). Materials used: 18 / 10 stainless steel (BPA-free)
[0028] • Water bottle: Stainless steel (Lightweight, high weight-to-strength ratio, shock-resistant) and corrosion-resistant, 100% recyclable, non-toxic, easy to manufacture, finishable, waterproof, and odorless) for each compartment. This stainless steel has, among other properties, the ability to slow down heat transfer and thus ensure better insulation (isothermal effect). Stainless steel is an alloy metal resulting from the high-temperature fusion of its various components. The main components are chromium, iron, and carbon. To prevent all forms of oxidation such as rust, the alloy contains a minimum of 13% chromium and a maximum of 1.2% carbon. • 2 compartments: double-walled stainless steel vacuum (air) insulation with Copper lining covering the inside of the two walls containing the air up to the level of each neck. The two compartments are welded together at their base. • Cups (x2): Stainless steel, double-walled vacuum (air) insulation with a copper lining between the two inner walls containing the air. Screw onto each neck using notches. • Sealing gaskets (x2): silicone (perfectly waterproof, resists high temperatures and aging well, recyclable and redistributable). • Closure caps: Stainless steel, screw-on thanks to notches at each neck. • Temperature maintenance time: approximately 12 hours depending on the temperature of the liquids introduced (1 full day) Other additional data about product #:
[0029] • Product dimensions: (depending on the chosen model and its capacity) • Diameter = between 7 and 9.5 cm approximately • Height = between 25 and 35 cm approximately • Product weight: between 300 and 450 grams approximately (depending on the model chosen and its capacity).
[0030] Choice of model several different models can be easily produced technically, quickly, at lower costs, and distributed by many brands (In France and abroad).
[0031] Different models can be made: • Depending on the capacity of the water bottle: (for compartments of equal capacity) • 2 x 25 cl = 0.50 liters total filling capacity • 2 x 33 cl = 66 dm³ total filling capacity • 2 x 50 cl = total filling capacity • Depending on the capacity of the 2 compartments: • Equal compartments (50% each) • One large and one smaller compartment (75% and 25%) • For a 50 cl water bottle: 12.5 cl and 37.5 cl • For a 66 cl water bottle: 16.5 cl and 49.5 cl • For a 1.00 liter water bottle: 25 cl and 75 cl
[0032] Requirements and possible applications of this water bottle: • Can be used by a single person who wants to have 2 different drinks (hot and / or cold) in the same bottle (e.g., tea and fruit juice) • Can be used in a healthy and hygienic way by 2 different people (Ex: a couple, siblings, 2 friends...), each choosing the type and temperature of their drink. • To be used daily, whatever the activity (e.g., commuting between work and home, during the day, sports activities, while travelling...) • To be fair: • Meets the needs of children, adults, and seniors. (Different models with varying capacities, ease of use, etc.) • Meeting the needs of both men and women (Personalization, customization of the caps) • Be strong, durable, and lightweight (High quality) • Be practical and lightweight: carry only one water bottle instead of 2 different bottles in your bag. • Eco-responsible (Meeting regulatory requirements, using clean and easily recyclable materials such as stainless steel and silicone, being attentive and caring towards respecting human beings and their rights throughout the manufacturing process) • Be accessible (Distribution methods and price) • Easily customizable (caps = derivative products) to follow desires, fashion, major events (football, Olympics, MBA...) • To possess a strong “ethical” dimension (human and environmental) and to suggest, to induce the notion of union, unity, and sharing.
[0033] Thus, due to the possibilities offered by the use of this "double" gourd and its customizable and fashionable aspect, it could become an ideal daily companion for millions of people around the world.
[0034] What problems does this technological innovation address?
[0035] This technological innovation, the 2-compartment insulated water bottle, applied to insulated water bottles, provides a technical solution to the following twofold problem:
[0036] - "How to receive and store (for several hours in a healthy way, hygienic, and at a constant temperature) hot or cold liquids (or both), for consumption within the following hours, and carrying and using only one lightweight, durable, and compact container (a water bottle)?
[0037] - "When there are 2 people, how can they consume at the same time (or at (at a different time) each person a different drink (at a different temperature if desired) or the same drink in a healthy and hygienic way by carrying only one small, lightweight container (such as a bottle, flask, thermos...)?
