Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Half-opener
[0001] The invention relates to a door chain for a dwelling door and a door strip for the same dwelling door.
[0002] A known door stay, used in particular with door strips, is described in application ES286488U. This door stay comprises in particular a slider housed in a door strip. This slider can be moved manually, directly by hand, by a user located inside the housing, between an active position and a retracted position. In the active position, a distal end of the slider cooperates with an arm secured to a fixed upright to prevent the door from moving beyond a half-open position. In the retracted position, the slider allows the door to move to a fully open position.
[0003] In addition to manually moving the slider, it is also possible to move it, using a key and from outside the housing, from its active position to its retracted position. This feature is useful for accessing the interior of the housing when the slider has been manually moved into its active position by a person who is no longer able to move it, in the opposite direction, from its active position to its retracted position.
[0004] The door chain, as described in application ES286488U, is not compatible with electronic locks which, instead of using a mechanical key, use a keypad, badge or other component to authenticate a person and then authorize them to enter.
[0005] In addition, the ES286488U application is complex and not very compact.
[0006] The invention aims to propose a door restrictor which remedies at least one of the defects of the door restrictor of application ES286488U.
[0007] The invention therefore relates to a door stay for a dwelling door, this door being movable in rotation, relative to a fixed upright, between:
[0008] - a closed position in which the door completely obstructs an opening allowing entry into the accommodation,
[0009] - an open position in which the door allows a visitor to enter inside housing, and
[0010] - a half-open position in which the door partially obstructs the opening to leave a half-opening through which the visitor is visible from inside the accommodation while being narrow enough to prevent the visitor from entering the accommodation,
[0011] this half-opener comprising:
[0012] - an elongated arm capable of being mounted for rotation on the fixed upright, and
[0013] - a slider suitable for being mounted on the door, this slider being manually de- can be moved in translation along a sliding axis, directly by hand by a user located inside the housing, between:
[0014] - an active position in which, by cooperation of shape with the arm, it is able to prevent the door from moving beyond its half-open position, and
[0015] - a retracted position in which it allows the door to move until it is open position,
[0016] in which the slider comprises teeth and the half-opener comprises an actuator capable of automatically moving, in response to an unlocking command, the slider from its active position to its retracted position when the door is in its closed position, this actuator comprising for this purpose:
[0017] - an electric motor,
[0018] - a partially toothed wheel driven in rotation by the motor, this wheel by partially toothed comprising on its periphery:
[0019] - a toothed portion capable of meshing with the teeth of the slide for the move, along its sliding axis, from its active position to its retracted position, and
[0020] - a portion without teeth which, when it is opposite the teeth of the slide, separates the wheel and the slide to allow manual movement of the slide without rotating the wheel.
[0021] Embodiments of the invention may include one or more of the following features:
[0022] 1)
[0023] - the slider extends, along the sliding axis, from one end proximal to a distal end capable of directly engaging mechanically with the arm to, by cooperation of form, prevent the movement of the door beyond its half-open position, and
[0024] - the slider has an inclined face which, when moving from the distal end of the slide towards its proximal end, rises away from the sliding axis until it reaches a cylindrical portion of the slide which extends over a length equal to or greater than the amplitude of the movement of the slide between its active and retracted positions, and
[0025] - the half-opener comprises:
[0026] - a frame capable of being fixed without any degree of freedom on the door, and
[0027] - an elastic hoop attached without any degree of freedom to the chassis so as to be located at the foot of the inclined section when the slide is in its retracted position, this elastic arch being capable of deforming elastically, when the slide is moved from its retracted position to its active position, to rise along the section inclined to finally reach the cylindrical portion on which it can slide.
[0028] 2)
[0029] - the half-opener comprises a sensor capable of detecting the presence of the portion without teeth opposite the teeth of the slide, and
[0030] - a control module capable of controlling the motor to trigger the rotation of the wheel in response to the release command and to maintain rotation of the wheel until the sensor again detects the presence of the toothless portion opposite the teeth of the slide.
[0031] 3)
[0032] - the actuator comprises a boss or a recess (198) driven in rotation by the engine, and
[0033] - the sensor comprises:
[0034] - a strip moved by this boss or this recess when the motor shaft turns, and

[0036] 4)
[0037] - the slider extends, along the sliding axis, from one end proximal to a distal end capable of directly engaging mechanically with the arm to, by cooperation of shape, prevent the movement of the door beyond its half-open position, the distal end comprising for this purpose a bulge, and
[0038] - the arm extends from an axis of rotation integral with the fixed upright to a free end, this arm comprising:
[0039] - an orifice capable of being crossed by the bulge when the door is in its position closed and the slide is moved to its active position, and
[0040] - a slot which extends, from the orifice, towards the free end of the arm, the width of this slot being less than the width of the bulge to retain the distal end of the slide trapped inside this slot as soon as this distal end slides inside this slot.
[0041] The invention also relates to a door strip capable of being mounted on an interior face of a door of a dwelling, this door being movable in rotation, relative to a fixed upright, between:
[0042] - a closed position in which the door completely obstructs an opening allowing entry into the accommodation,
[0043] - an open position in which the door allows a visitor to enter inside housing, and
[0044] - a half-open position in which the door partially obstructs the opening to leave a half-opening through which the visitor is visible from inside the accommodation while being narrow enough to prevent the visitor from entering the accommodation,

[0055] - a partially toothed wheel driven in rotation by the motor, this wheel by partially toothed comprising on its periphery:
[0056] - a toothed portion capable of meshing with the teeth of the slide for the move, along the sliding axis, from its active position to its retracted position, and
[0057] - a portion without teeth which, when it is opposite the teeth of the slide, separates the wheel and the slide to allow manual movement of the slide without rotating the wheel.
[0058] Embodiments of this door strip may comprise an electronic central unit configured to, in response to receiving an unlocking command, control the actuation system to move the bolt mechanism from its projecting state to its retracted state, this central unit comprising a control module capable, in response to receiving the release command, of controlling the actuator so that it automatically moves the slide from its active position to its retracted position.

[0068] In these figures, the same references are used to designate the same elements. In the remainder of this description, the characteristics and functions well known to those skilled in the art are not described in detail.
[0069] In this description a detailed example of an embodiment is first described in a chapter I with reference to the figures. Then, in a chapter II, variants of this embodiment are introduced. Finally, the advantages of the different embodiments are specified in a chapter III.
[0070] Chapter I: Example of embodiment
[0071] [Fig.l] represents a system 2 for controlling access to a dwelling. The system 2 ensures that an unauthorized person cannot enter the accommodation or can do so with great difficulty.
[0072] Subsequently, by way of example, a person located outside the dwelling and who wishes to enter is called a "visitor". The person who is located inside the dwelling is called a "resident". The resident is also a person authorized to enter the dwelling. For example, the resident is the owner of the dwelling.
[0073] For this purpose, system 2 comprises:
[0074] - an entrance door 4,
[0075] - a portable terminal 6 intended to be used by the resident, and
[0076] - an electronic lock 8 mounted on the door 4.
[0077] Subsequently, the lock 8 is described in the particular case where it is a strip of door. Therefore, the numerical reference 8 is also used to designate the door strip.
[0078] Door 4 is located at the entrance to the dwelling. This door 4 delimits the interior of the dwelling from the exterior of the dwelling. Hereinafter, the terms "interior" and "exterior" are used to designate what is located, respectively, inside and outside the dwelling. For example, door 4 is a landing door of an apartment or a house or any other dwelling. Door 4 has an interior face facing the interior of the dwelling and, on the opposite side, an exterior face. The interior and exterior faces extend mainly in parallel vertical planes. Door 4 is movable between a closed position, a half-open position and an open position shown in [Fig.l]. In the closed position, door 4 completely obstructs an opening 10 allowing entry to the interior of the dwelling. In the closed position, the visitor cannot therefore enter the interior of the dwelling. It also cannot be seen by the resident because the door 4 is opaque. In the half-open position, the door 4 partially obstructs the opening 10 to leave a half-open gap through which the visitor is visible from inside the dwelling by the resident. This half-open gap is narrow enough to prevent the visitor from entering the dwelling. In the open position, the visitor can enter the dwelling and therefore move from outside the dwelling to the inside.
[0079] Terminal 6 is a mobile terminal that the resident carries with him. It is therefore generally located inside the dwelling when the resident is inside and outside the dwelling when the resident is outside. Terminal 6 may be several kilometers away from the dwelling. Typically, terminal 6 is a smartphone or smart phone. To simplify [Fig.l], only one terminal 6 is shown. However, in practice, there are often several copies of terminal 6 that operate in the same way.
[0080] The terminal 6 is capable of receiving the messages sent to it by the strip 8, via a telecommunications network 28. The terminal 6 is also capable of sending commands to the strip 8 via the network 28. For this, the terminal 6 comprises a human-machine interface.
[0081] The strip 8 is a multi-point door strip. The strip 8 is mounted, without any degree of freedom, on the inner face of the door 4.
[0082] The strip 8 is in the form of a single piece inside which the various components described with reference to [Fig.2] are housed. For this purpose, the strip 8 is in the form of a rigid housing 30 inside which its various components are fixed. The housing 30 is here fixed along the vertical edge of the door 4 located on the side opposite the hinges. The housing 30 is fixed to the inner face of the door 4, for example, using screws. Thus, advantageously, the strip 8 can be installed on the inner face of a pre-existing door.
[0083] In [Fig.l], only the components of the strip 8 which protrude from the housing 30 on the inner side or cross the vertical edge of this housing 30 are visible. Thus, only the following components of the strip 8 are visible in [Fig.l]:
[0084] - a 36 half-turn bolt,
[0085] - a handle 38,
[0086] - deadbolts 42,
[0087] - a touch screen 44,
[0088] - a lock cylinder 46, and
[0089] - a slider 48 of a motorized half-opener 50.
[0090] The bolt 36 is movable by the handle 38 from an extended position (shown in [Fig.l]) to a retracted position. The bolt 36 is permanently pushed back to an extended position by a return spring. The distal end of the bolt 36 is beveled so that when the door 4 is slammed from its open position to its closed position, by shape cooperation between the beveled end and an upright 40, the bolt 36 sinks inside the housing 30 against the force of the return spring in order to allow the door 4 to reach its closed position. The upright 40 is fixed, without any degree of freedom, on the frame of the door 4.
[0091] Each of the deadbolts 42 is movable between an extended position and a retracted position. In the extended position, each bolt 42 is received in a corresponding cavity provided in the jamb 40 to lock the door 4 in its closed position. In its retracted position, each bolt 42 is retracted inside the housing 30 and located outside the cavity provided in the jamb 40. Thus, when all the bolts 42 are in their retracted position, the door 4 is unlocked and can be freely moved from its closed position to its open position after pressing the handle 38. Here, the strip 8 comprises at least five bolts 42.
[0092] In [Fig.l], four deadbolts 42 are shown in their extended position to make them more visible even if the door 4 is in its open position. For example, each bolt 42 is a cylindrical bar that can be moved in translation between its extended and retracted positions. Unlike the bolt 36, the distal ends of the bolts 42 are not beveled.
[0093] The touch screen 44 and the cylinder 46 are accessible by the resident located inside the accommodation.
[0094] The half-opening ur 50 also comprises an elongated arm 52 mounted on the upright 40. The slider 48 can be moved manually, directly by hand, by the resident located inside the accommodation between an active position and a retracted position. In the active position, the slider 48 is capable, by cooperation in shape with the arm 52, of preventing the door 4 from moving beyond its half-open position. Conversely, in its retracted position, the slider 48 allows the door 4 to move to its open position.
[0095] [Fig. 1] also represents an orthogonal XYZ reference frame. The Z direction of this reference corresponds to the vertical. The X and Y directions are horizontal. The X direction is parallel to the vertical plane in which the door 4 mainly extends when it is in its closed position. The X direction is directed from the edge of the door along which the strip 8 is fixed, towards the hinges of this door. The Y direction is directed from the inside of the housing towards the outside of the housing. This same XYZ reference is also used to orient figures 3 to 13.
[0096] [Fig.2] schematically represents the interior architecture of the strip 8 as well as different elements of the system 2 connected to this strip 8.
[0097] The strip 8 comprises, mainly housed inside the housing 30, a bolt mechanism 54 and a system 56 for actuating the mechanism 54.
[0098] The mechanism 54 includes the bolts 42 as well as the linkage necessary to move them between their extended and retracted positions.
[0099] The actuating system 56 moves the mechanism 54 from a protruding state to a retracted state and vice versa. In the protruding state, at least one bolt 42 is in its extended position. Here, in the protruding state, all the bolts 42 are in their extended position. In the retracted state, all the bolts 42 are in their retracted position. In this embodiment, the system 56 does not allow the bolt 36 to be moved. The bolt 36 can only be moved using the handle 38.
[0100] To move the mechanism 54 between its protruding and retracted states, the system 56 comprises an electric motor 60 and the cylinder 46.
[0101] The cylinder 46 makes it possible in particular to move the mechanism 54 from its protruding state to its retracted state even in the event of unavailability of the electric motor 60. The motor 60 is said to be "unavailable" when it cannot be used to move the mechanism 54 from its protruding state to its retracted state. Such unavailability may result from a failure of the motor 60 or another element of the actuation system 56. This unavailability may also result, for example, from a cut in the electrical power supply to the motor 60.
[0102] In this embodiment, the cylinder 46 is a mechanical cylinder devoid of any electronic component that requires power to operate. Here, the cylinder 46 is a European-format mechanical cylinder. In this embodiment lisation, it comprises an inner half-cylinder and an outer half-cylinder accessible, respectively, from the inner and outer sides of the door 4. Thus, the cylinder 46 can be used both from the outer side of the door 4 and from its inner side. For this, the strip 8 comprises a housing passing right through the housing 30 in the Y direction and into which the inner half-cylinder of the cylinder 46 is inserted. This housing is located opposite a hole passing through the door 4 in the Y direction and into which the outer half-cylinder of the cylinder 46 is inserted.
[0103] The cylinder 46 comprises a rotor 62 rotatably mounted inside a fixed stator 64. The stator 64 is fixed, without any degree of freedom, to the door 4. The cylinder 46 also comprises a key bit 68 driven in rotation by the rotor 62. The rotor 62 can be driven in rotation only when an authorized key is inserted into its key channel 62 and then turned. It is then the rotation of this key bit 68 which actuates the movement of the mechanism 54 towards its retracted state.
[0104] The motor 60 comprises a drive shaft 70. When the motor 60 is commanded to move the mechanism 54 to its retracted state, it is the rotation of the shaft 70 which activates the movement of the mechanism 54.
[0105] The system 56 comprises an output shaft 72 and a mechanism 74 for mechanically coupling the bit 68 and the shaft 70 to this shaft 72 to drive it in rotation. The shaft 72 moves the mechanism 54 from its protruding state to its retracted state when it is rotated in one direction and from its retracted state to its protruding state when it is rotated in the opposite direction.
[0106] The coupling mechanism 74 is, for example, identical to one of those described in the French patent application filed under number FR2203725 on 04 / 21 / 2022 by the company COGELEC.
[0107] To control the motor 60, the strip 8 comprises an electronic central unit 80. The central unit 80 comprises:
[0108] - a memorandum 82,
[0109] - a programmable microprocessor 84,
[0110] - a transmitter / receiver 86, and
[0111] - an information transmission bus 88 which connects the different components of the central unit 80.
[0112] The central unit 80 is connected to the touch screen 44.
[0113] The transmitter / receiver 86 is capable of establishing a wireless communication link with Terminal 6 via Network 28.
[0114] Memory 82 is a non-volatile memory containing the instructions to be executed by the microprocessor 84. Memory 82 contains all the instructions and data necessary to execute the various functions described in this text.
[0115] The housing 30 of the strip 8 also includes the motorized portion of the half-opener 50. This motorized portion comprises in particular, in addition to the slide 48, an electric actuator 90, an angular position sensor 94 and a module 96 for controlling the half-opener 50. Here, the module 96 is in particular capable of receiving an unlocking command transmitted from the terminal 6 and, in response, of controlling the actuator 90 to automatically move the slide 48 into its retracted position. In this embodiment, the control module 96 is a software module implemented in the central unit 80. For this, the memory 82 comprises the instructions of the control module 96.
[0116] Here, the system 2 comprises an access control unit 110. This unit 110 is capable of establishing whether a person authorized to enter is present in front of the door 4 and, if so, of unlocking the door 4. For this purpose, the unit 110 comprises:
[0117] - an access rights reader 112,
[0118] - an access control module 116, and
[0119] - a database 118 containing access rights authorized to unlock the door 4.
[0120] The reader 112 is used to acquire the access rights of a person located on the outside of the door 4 and transmit them to the access control module 116. Here, the reader 112 is capable of reading the access rights contained on a mechanical medium that can be transported, by hand, by a human being. In this exemplary embodiment, this medium is a badge 120 comprising an electronic memory 122 in which access rights are recorded. For example, the badge 120 is a transponder badge that transmits the access rights contained in its memory 122 only when it is presented near the reader 112. For example, the reader 112 is located on the outside of the door 4.
[0121] The module 116 establishes whether a person present in front of the door 4 is authorized to enter. For this purpose, here, the module 116 establishes that an authorized person is present in front of the door 4 if the access rights read in the badge 120 correspond to authorized access rights pre-recorded in the base 118.
[0122] If the access rights read in the badge 120 correspond to authorized access rights pre-recorded in the base 118, the module 116 controls the motor 60 to move the mechanism 54 into its retracted state. Otherwise, the mechanism 54 remains in the protruding state.
[0123] In this embodiment, the module 116 is also implemented in the form of a software module executed by the microprocessor 84. Its instructions are stored in the memory 82.
[0124] The central unit 80 is also connected to a videophone device 140 to establish videophone communication with a person located on the outside of the door 4. The device 140 comprises a camera, a loudspeaker and a microphone. This device 140 is, for example, mounted on the outer face of the door 4. The unit 80 is for example configured here to establish videophone communication between the device 40 and the terminal 6. During this videophone communication, the resident who uses the terminal 6 can trigger the sending of an unlocking command to the unit 80. In response to the reception of this unlocking command, the unit 80 controls the motor 60 to move the mechanism 54 into its retracted state.
[0125] Figures 3 and 4 show the arm 52 in more detail. The arm 52 is rotatably mounted on the upright 40. More specifically, the arm 52 is rotatably movable about an axis 140 between a folded position, shown in [Fig. 3], and an unfolded position, shown in [Fig. 4]. The axis 140 is integral with the upright 40 and parallel to the X direction. In the folded position, the arm 52 extends mainly vertically from the axis 140 to a free end 142. In the unfolded position, the arm 52 extends mainly parallel to the Y direction.
[0126] The arm 52 has an orifice 144 and a slot 146. The orifice 144 is sized to be traversed by a distal end of the slider 48. The orifice 144 is closer to the axis 140 than to the free end 142.
[0127] The slot 146 extends from the orifice 144 to near the free end 142. Here, the slot 146 is narrower than the orifice 144 in the Z direction. Thanks to this, the slot 146 can trap the distal end of the slider 48.
[0128] Figures 5, 6 and 7 show in more detail the motorized portion of the half-opener 50 housed in the housing 30 of the strip 8. In [Fig.5] the slider 48 is in its active position and in Figures 6 and 7, it is in its retracted position. In [Fig.7], to improve the readability of this figure, the housing 30 of the strip 8 is not shown.
[0129] The slider 48 slides in translation along an axis 150 parallel to the direction X. For this, the half-opener 50 comprises two rings 152, 154 inside which the slider 48 is slidably mounted. The rings 152, 154 are fixed, without any degree of freedom, to the housing 30 and each centered on the axis 150. Here, the ring 152 is closer to the proximal end of the slider than to its distal end. Conversely, the ring 154 is closer to the distal end than to the proximal end. The rings 152 and 154 are made of a material which limits friction with the slider 48. For example, the rings 152, 154 are made of plastic.
[0130] Here, the slide 48 is a solid of revolution whose axis of revolution coincides with the axis 150. In this embodiment, the slide 48 can rotate on itself around the axis 150. For this purpose, the cross sections of the holes in the rings 152, 154 in which the slide 48 is received are circular. To obtain precise guidance, the slide 48 comprises two cylindrical portions 156 and 158 received, respectively, in the hole of the ring 152 and the hole of the ring 154. The cross-section of each of these cylindrical portions 156, 158 is circular. The diameter of each of these cylindrical portions 156, 158 is slightly smaller than the diameters of the holes of the rings, respectively, 152 and 154 to leave only a clearance which allows the sliding of the slide 48 along the axis 150. The length of each of these portions 156, 158 is equal to or greater than a distance D, where the distance D is equal to the distance traveled by the slide 48 when it moves from its retracted position to its active position. Thus, the rings 152, 154 guide the movement of the slide 48 over the entire length of its movement.
[0131] On the proximal end side, the slider 48 has a shoulder 160 which forms a stop which limits the travel of the slider 48 when it moves towards its active position. Here, the shoulder 160 comes into abutment against the ring 152 when the slider 48 reaches its active position.
[0132] In this embodiment, the proximal end also includes a handle 162 which is located after the shoulder 160 while moving in the X direction. This handle projects outside the housing 30. This handle allows the resident to manually move the slider 48 between its active and retracted positions.
[0133] The distal end of the slider 48 is received inside the orifice 144 when the slider 48 is in its active position and the door 4 is in its closed position. Conversely, in the retracted position, the distal end is located outside the orifice 144. For example, in the retracted position, the distal end is received, at least in large part, inside the housing 30.
[0134] The distal end of the slider 48 has a bulge 164 ([Fig.7]) followed, in the X direction, by a cylindrical portion 166 ([Fig.7]). The bulge 164 is sized to be able to pass right through the orifice 144 in order to be behind the arm 52 when the slider 48 is in its active position. The height of the bulge 164 in the Z direction is greater than the height of the slot 146. The height of the slot 146 corresponds to the width of this slot in the Z direction when the arm 52 is in its unfolded position and extends mainly parallel to the Y direction. Here, the cross-section of the bulge 164 is circular.
[0135] The cylindrical portion 166 here has a circular cross-section. Unlike the bulge 164, the diameter of the cylindrical portion 166 is less than the height of the slot 146. For example, the diameter of the cylindrical portion 166 is here less than the diameter of the cylindrical portion 158. Thus, in the active position, the cylindrical portion 166 slides inside the slot 146 when the door 4 is moved to its open position. At the end of its travel, the cylindrical portion 166 abuts against the end 142 of the arm 52, which prevents the door 4 from being moved beyond its half-open position. Furthermore, once the cylindrical portion 166 is engaged within the slot 146, the bulge 164 is located behind the arm 52 and keeps the distal end engaged with the arm 52. The distal end is then trapped within the slot 146. The distal end can only be disengaged from the arm 52 by first returning the door 4 to its closed position. In the closed position, the bulge 164 is again opposite the orifice 144, which makes it possible to move the slider 48 to its retracted position.
[0136] At the end of the cylindrical portion 158, going towards the distal end, the slide 48 has a notch 170. Here, the notch 170 forms a groove centered on the axis 150 and which goes completely around this axis 150. The notch 170 has an inclined face 172 which forms one of the sides of this notch. This inclined face 172 rises, from the bottom of the notch 170 to the cylindrical portion 158 going in the direction X. For example, the inclination of this inclined face 172 relative to a plane perpendicular to the axis 150 is greater than 45° or 60° and less than 80°.
[0137] The slide 48 also comprises a toothing 176. Here, this toothing 176 is located between the cylindrical portions 156 and 158. In this embodiment, each tooth of this toothing 176 forms a rib centered on the axis 150 and which goes completely around the axis 150. Thus, the toothing 176 is invariant by rotation of the slide 48 on itself around the axis 150.
[0138] The slider 48 is made of a material resistant to shearing attempts. Typically, it is made of metal such as stainless steel. The arm 52 is generally made of the same material.
[0139] The half-opener 50 comprises an elastic hoop 178 ([Fig.7]). The hoop 178 has two ends attached, without any degree of freedom, to a frame 180 of the housing 30. Between its fixed ends, the hoop 178 goes around the slide 48. The location where the hoop 178 is attached is chosen so that, when the slide 48 is in its retracted position, the hoop 178 is received inside the notch 170. Thus, in the retracted position, the hoop 178 is located at the foot of the inclined section 172. The hoop 178 is able to deform elastically, when the slide 48 begins its movement towards its active position, to first rise along the inclined section 172 until it reaches the cylindrical portion 158. Then, while the movement of the slide 48 from its retracted position towards its active position continues, the hoop 178 slides on the cylindrical portion 158. For example, the 178 hoop is a coil spring.
[0140] The joining of the arch 178 and the inclined face 172 forms a mechanism for retaining the slide 48 in its retracted position. More precisely, the force that must be exerted by the resident who pushes the slide 48 towards its active position is initially greater because the arch 178 must be deformed so that it reaches the cylindrical portion 158. Then, the force exerted to continue the movement of the slide 48 towards the active position is less because only the friction of the hoop 178 on the cylindrical portion 158 remains.
[0141] The actuator 90 is fixed, without any degree of freedom, on the frame 180 ([Fig.6]) of the housing 30. The actuator 90 comprises an electric motor 182, a shaft 184 driven in rotation by the motor 182 and a partially toothed wheel 186 ([Fig.7]). The motor 182 is connected to the central unit 80 to be controlled by the control module 96.
[0142] The wheel 186 is driven in rotation by the shaft 184. This wheel 186 is located opposite the toothing 176. The wheel 186 comprises on its periphery, successively, a toothed portion 190 and a portion 192 without teeth. These portions 190 and 192 are mainly visible in [Fig. 5]. However, in this [Fig. 5] the other components of the actuator 90 have not been shown. The toothed portion 192 is capable of meshing with the toothing 176 to move the slide 48, along the axis 150, from its active position to its retracted position. The portion 192 is devoid of teeth to separate the wheel 186 and the slider 48 when this portion 192 is opposite the teeth 176. When the slider 48 is separated from the wheel 186 this allows manual movement of the slider 48 without rotating the wheel 186 and therefore without this movement being hindered by the actuator 90.
[0143] The sensor 94 is visible in [Fig. 6] and now described with reference to [Fig. 8].
[0144] The shaft 184 rotates on itself about an axis 196 contained in a plane perpendicular to the axis 150. Here, the shaft 184 is a cylinder, of circular section, in which a recess has been provided to locate its angular position. For example, here, this recess is a flat 198. The flat 198 reduces the diameter of the shaft 184 only in a limited angular portion.
[0145] The sensor 94 comprises a strip 200 and a transducer 202. The strip 200 is permanently urged against the periphery of the portion of the shaft 184 in which the flat 198 is arranged. More precisely, the strip 200 is arranged relative to the shaft 184 so that its movement reaches a maximum when it rubs only on the flat 198 and a minimum when it rubs on the remainder of the periphery of the shaft 184. Here, the flat 198 is placed on the periphery of the shaft 184 so that the movement of the strip 200 passes through its maximum when the portion 192 without teeth is opposite the teeth 176.
[0146] The transducer 202 converts the movement of the blade 200 into an electrical signal which is transmitted to the central unit 80 to be processed by the control module 96. This electrical signal makes it possible to know whether the portion 192 without teeth is opposite the teeth 176.
[0147] The operation of the half-opener 50 will now be described with reference to the Figures 9 to 13. To simplify these figures, only the slide 48, the rings 152, 154 and the wheel 186 are shown.
[0148] Initially, in [Fig. 9], the slide 48 is in its retracted position. It is held in this retracted position by the retaining mechanism formed by the inclined face 172 and the hoop 178. The wheel 186 is in its angular rest position, that is to say its angular position where the portion 192 without teeth is opposite the teeth 176. In this state, the actuator 90 is mechanically disengaged from the slide 48 because the wheel 186 does not touch the slide 48.
[0149] It is now assumed that the door 4 is in its closed position. The resident pushes, by hand, the handle 162 towards the arm 52 until the slider 48 reaches its active position shown in [Fig. 10]. During this manual movement of the slider 48, the wheel 186 is in its rest position so that the actuator 90 does not hinder this movement in any way.
[0150] Conversely, as long as the wheel 186 is in its rest position, the resident can also move the slider 48 by hand from its active position to its retracted position. As previously described, in this case too, the actuator 90 does not hinder the movement of the slider 48 in any way.
[0151] It is now assumed that the slider 48 is in its active position and that the resident is located outside the dwelling and wishes to move the slider 48 to its retracted position in order to be able to enter the dwelling. To do this, the resident uses his terminal 6 to trigger the sending of the unlocking command to the central unit 80. The module 96 receives this unlocking command and, in response, controls the motor 182 to rotate the shaft 184 and the wheel 186 in the direction which moves the slider 48 to its retracted position. As illustrated in [Fig.l 1], in response, the wheel 186 begins to rotate which brings the toothed portion 190 into contact with the toothing 176. Then, the rotation of the wheel continues and, as illustrated in [Fig.12], the toothed portion 190 meshes with the toothing 176, which moves the slider 48 from its active position to its retracted position. Finally, the rotation of the wheel 186 continues in the same direction, which brings the portion 192 without teeth back opposite the teeth 176 as illustrated in [Fig. 13]. At this stage, the sensor 94 detects that the portion 192 is again opposite the teeth 176 and, in response, the module 96 commands the stopping of the motor 182. The half-opener 50 has then returned to its initial position shown in [Fig. 9].
[0152] In this embodiment, the actuator 90 is not capable of moving the slider 48 from its retracted position to its active position. Here, the actuator 90 only allows movement of the slider from its active position to its retracted position. Movement in the opposite direction can only be carried out manually.
[0153] Chapter II: Variants:
[0154] Variants of the aperture:
[0155] The slide handle may have other shapes. For example, the handle may also take the form of a knob that extends primarily perpendicular to the sliding axis. Typically, in this case, the knob slides in a slot passing through the front face of the door strip.
[0156] The teeth of the portion 190 of the wheel and the slider are not necessarily straight teeth. These teeth can also be oblique.
[0157] Alternatively, the slider cannot rotate on itself around the axis 150. For example, for this, the cross section of the rings 152, 154 and of the slider 48 are rectangular or oblong. In this case, the teeth 176 of the slider may be present only on the face of the slider facing the wheel 186. The other faces of the slider are devoid of teeth. Thus, in this particular embodiment, the teeth of the slider do not extend over the entire periphery of the slide. Similarly, when the slider cannot rotate on itself, it is not necessary for the inclined face 172 to completely circle the axis 150. Thus, as a variant, the inclined face is arranged over only a portion of the periphery of the slide.
[0158] Other mechanisms for retaining the slide 48 in its retracted position are possible. For example, in a simplified embodiment, the inclined face 172 is omitted. In this case, the slide is held in its retracted position by the friction between the elastic hoop 178 and the cylindrical portion 158. Thus, in this simplified embodiment, the force which retains the slide in its retracted position is the same as that which retains this slide in its active position. Under these conditions, at the start of the movement of the slide 48 towards its active position, the resident does not have to push the handle 162 with a force greater than that subsequently necessary to continue the movement of the slide to its active position.
[0159] The elastic hoop 178 is not necessarily a helical spring. For example, as a variant, the hoop 178 is replaced by a hoop made of elastomer.
[0160] Alternatively, the elastic arch 178 is replaced by a pin and a spring which permanently urges this pin towards the axis 150. In this case, when the notch 170 is opposite the pin, the spring pushes the pin inside the notch 170 which keeps the slide 48 in its retracted position. Conversely, if the handle 162 is pushed towards the arm 52, the pin is pushed back by the inclined face 172 into a depressed position and then rubs on the cylindrical portion 158.
[0161] In another embodiment, the retaining mechanism comprises an additional inclined face symmetrical to the inclined face 172 with respect to a vertical plane passing through the foot of the inclined face 172.
[0162] In a very simplified variant, the mechanism for retaining the slide 48 in its retracted position is simply omitted.
[0163] The recess which is rotated by the shaft 184 of the motor 182 may take other forms than that of a flat. For example, as a variant, the recess is curved towards the axis 196 of rotation of the shaft 184. The recess may also be replaced by a boss rotated by the shaft 184. This boss is then arranged to modify the position of the blade 200 as a function of the angular position of the shaft.
[0164] Other embodiments of the sensor 94 are possible. For example, as a variant, the sensor is a proximity sensor capable of detecting, without contact, the presence of the portion 192 without teeth opposite the teeth 176 of the slide. Such a contactless proximity sensor may be an optical sensor or a magnetic sensor.
[0165] Sending the unlocking command to the actuator 90 can be triggered in different ways. For example, as a variant, the door strip comprises a button that can be operated by the user located inside the housing. In response to pressing this button, the unlocking command is transmitted to the actuator 90. In such an embodiment, it is not necessary for the unlocking command to be transmitted to the door chain 50 from outside the housing or by the terminal 6. In another embodiment, this button is integrated into a remote control separate from the door strip and transportable by the resident. In the latter case, the door strip comprises a wireless receiver capable of receiving the unlocking command transmitted by the remote control in response to pressing the button.
[0166] The door stay 50 can also be housed in another housing independent of the housing 30 of the strip 8. In this case, the door stay 50 can be installed on a door without this door also being equipped with a door strip.
[0167] Variants of the access control system:
[0168] In a simplified variant, the reader 112 is omitted and the motor 60 is also omitted. In this case, the door 4 can only be unlocked using the cylinder 46 and an authorized key.
[0169] The mechanical cylinder 46 can also be replaced by an electronic cylinder such as that disclosed in application EP3431684 from the company COGELEC.
[0170] Conversely, in another simplified embodiment, the cylinder 46 is omitted. In this case, the door 4 can only be unlocked using the reader 112 and the motor 60.
[0171] The access rights reader 112 is not necessarily fixed to the door. It can also be fixed next to the door, for example, on an exterior wall located near the door 4.
[0172] Other embodiments of the badge 120 are possible. For example, the badge 120 is implemented in a smartphone. In this case, it is the smartphone's memory that constitutes the mechanical medium containing the access rights. When the key is a smartphone, typically, the reader acquires the access rights stored in the smartphone's memory via a wireless connection established in accordance with a short-range wireless communication standard such as a BlueTooth® connection. In this case, the access rights reader is a reader compliant with the BlueTooth® standard. The badge 120 can also be implemented in the form of a card in the memory of which the access rights are stored.
[0173] In other embodiments, instead of using access rights contained on a mechanical medium, biometric characteristics of the users are used to authorize access. In this case, the access control system comprises a reader of a biometric characteristic which makes it possible to uniquely identify a human being. For example, it may be a fingerprint reader or a facial recognition system.
[0174] Other variants:
[0175] The number of bolts 42 may be less than five or greater than five. In a simplified variant, the mechanism 54 comprises a single bolt 42.
[0176] The door strip does not necessarily include the half-turn bolt 36 and the handle 38. For example, in this case, the bolt 36 and the handle 38 are directly fixed to the door and not housed in the lock. In a simplified variant, the bolt 36 and / or the handle 38 are omitted.
[0177] The door strip may include additional components. For example, the door strip may also be arranged to trigger the signaling of an attempted break-in in the event that an unauthorized person breaks into the dwelling.
[0178] The lock may take other forms than that of a door strip. For example, in another embodiment, the lock is not a multi-point lock so that on the inside, it does not form a strip that extends over the entire height of the door. In this case, typically, the door chain 50 and the lock are not located in the same housing.
[0179] In a simplified variant, the videophone device 140 is omitted.
[0180] The terminal 6 can also be omitted. In this case, the unlocking command is generated by another means, such as, for example, using a button that can be operated by the resident and / or by a sensor that detects the rotation of the shaft 72 and, in response, systematically triggers the generation of the unlocking command.
[0181] Several of the variants described above can be combined in the same embodiment.
[0182] Chapter III: Advantages of the described embodiments:
[0183] The use of the arm 52 and the slider 48 to prevent the door 4 from moving beyond its half-open position makes it possible to obtain a much more robust door stay than those using a chain. Indeed, it is much simpler to cut a chain using pliers than to cut the slider 48 which is in the form of a bar.
[0184] Retaining the ability to manually move the slider 48 between its active and retracted positions ensures that even if the actuator 90 is unavailable, the door stay remains usable at least from inside the housing. Unavailability of the actuator 90 may result from a failure of the motor 182 or a power outage.
[0185] The use of the teeth 176 on the slide and the partially toothed wheel 186 makes it possible to achieve a particularly simple and compact motorization of the movement of the slide 48 from its active position to its retracted position without hindering the manual movement of this slide between its active and retracted positions. In particular, it is not necessary to use levers such as the levers 11 and 16 of EP286488U and a stop such as the stop 19 of EP286488U.
[0186] The use of the elastic hoop 178 and the inclined face 172 on the slide makes it possible to produce a mechanism for retaining the slide in its retracted position that is both simple and compact.
[0187] The use of the sensor 94 to detect the presence of the portion 192 without teeth opposite the teeth 176 of the slider makes it possible to stop the rotation of the shaft 184 of the motor 182 as soon as the slider has reached its retracted position.
[0188] The use of the mechanical displacement of the strip 200 to detect whether the portion 192 without teeth is opposite the teeth 176 of the slider makes it possible to detect in a simple and very robust manner this angular position of the portion 192 of the wheel 186.
[0189] Incorporating the control module 96 into the central unit 80 of the door strip simplifies the production of the strip 8 because the same central unit is then used to control the actuation system 56 and the half-opener 50.
