Description

Title of the invention: MOTOR VEHICLE SECURED AGAINST REPAIRABLE IMPACT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SUCH A VEHICLE

[0001] The invention relates to the field of safety of motor vehicles with respect to a front impact.

[0002] To reduce the problems of repairing motor vehicles, a standardized impact called "frontal repairability impact" has been put in place. During this impact, an expert makes a list of all the damaged parts, and comes up with an objective estimate of the car's repair problems. The more damaged parts there are, the more repair problems there are.

[0003] To make the vehicle more aerodynamic, a system has been designed that closes the air intake of the bumper, illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. This system includes a part called the piloted air intake module M.

[0004] This organ is fixed on the front of the vehicle on a cross member T, and has sails V which open and close according to the needs of the vehicle.

[0005] On certain platforms, in the event of a repairability impact CR, the controlled air intake module M is designed to be able to move backwards in a programmed manner. This prevents the module M from being damaged by contact with the cross member T.

[0006] On certain vehicles of the prior art called 308 (P51), and DS4, a power supply harness of the actuator A of the sails V, is located in a lower and lateral zone. In this case, the harness does not interfere during the repairable impact.

[0007] Unfortunately on some new platforms, the actuator is in the upper central position of the frame of the piloted air inlet module M as illustrated in [Fig.3]. The beam F of the actuator A is now in the upper part of said frame. It was not possible to pass the beam F from the bottom.

[0008] However, during a front left repairable impact, the M module slides 40 mm towards the rear of the vehicle under the T crossmember of the front. A connector of the F harness then collides with the T crossmember of the front. Thus, there is a risk of damaging the T crossmember of the front. This creates an additional repair problem.

[0009] An objective of the present invention is to remedy the defects of the prior art, and in particular to propose a solution for protecting the facade crosspiece as well as the beam arranged at an interface between the controlled air inlet module and the crosspiece.

[0010] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a motor vehicle in a reference frame in space comprising an axis of movement along a direction of travel. vehicle placement, a lateral axis perpendicular to the axis of movement, and a vertical axis perpendicular to the axis of movement and to the lateral axis, the motor vehicle comprising: - a bumper comprising a front panel delimiting an air inlet, the front panel comprising at least one cross member; - a controlled air inlet module fixed in front of the air inlet with reference to the axis of movement, the controlled air inlet module comprising sails, a sail control actuator and an actuator power supply harness, the controlled air inlet module comprising an interface edge arranged in front of the crosspiece with reference to the axis of movement and below the crosspiece with reference to the vertical axis, the beam being arranged on the interface edge, characterized in that the beam comprises a connector equipped with a first slide relief; the interface edge comprising a second slide relief cooperating with the first slide relief to move the connector forward with reference to the axis of movement; the cross member comprising a forward-facing pusher structure cooperating with the connector to push the connector forward with reference to the axis of movement.

[0011] Advantageously, in the case of a vehicle according to the invention, in the event of a front repairable impact, the controlled air intake module can move back, for example, by 40 mm along the X axis of movement. The connector of the harness of the controlled air intake module contacts the pusher structure of the crossmember and slides forward in the slide, without damaging the front crossmember or the connector.

[0012] According to a variant, the connector comprises a rounded portion, and the pusher structure comprises a hollow end cooperating by shape cooperation with the rounded portion to push the connector.

[0013] This allows for a form fit between the pusher structure and the connector to further limit the risk of damage to the cross member or connector.

[0014] According to a variant, the first slide relief comprises a tongue, and the second slide relief comprises a rectilinear groove arranged forward along the axis of movement.

[0015] This makes it easier to move the connector in an appropriate direction and sense so as not to damage the cross member or the harness.

[0016] According to a variant, the first slide relief and the second slide relief are clipping structures fixed to each other.

[0017] This allows the connector to be secured to the interface edge.

[0018] The invention further relates to a method of manufacturing a motor vehicle according to the invention, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: - a step of installing a connector equipped with a first slide relief, on the harness; - a step of placing a second slide relief on the interface edge, so that the second slide relief cooperates with the first slide relief to move the connector forward with reference to the movement axis; - a step of placing a pusher structure on the cross member, so that the pusher structure is oriented forward, and cooperates with the connector to push the connector forward with reference to the displacement axis.

[0019] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a view in space and a top view of a controlled air intake module and a corresponding front crossmember in a vehicle of the prior art, before a repairability impact; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates views similar to the previous ones of the vehicle of the prior art, after the repairability shock; - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates a view in space similar to the previous ones in a vehicle according to the invention, before the repairability impact; as well as a top view similar to the previous ones in a vehicle according to the invention, after the repairability impact; - [Fig.4] schematically illustrates an exploded view in space of a controlled air intake module, a harness and a corresponding front crossmember in a vehicle according to the invention.

[0020] The invention relates to a motor vehicle secured against front impacts, in particular for repairable impacts.

[0021] The motor vehicle is defined in a reference frame in space comprising a movement axis X following a direction of movement of the vehicle, a lateral axis Y perpendicular to the movement axis X, and a vertical axis Z perpendicular to the movement axis X and to the lateral axis Y.

[0022] The motor vehicle comprises a bumper comprising a front panel delimiting an air inlet. The front panel comprises at least one cross member T.

[0023] The motor vehicle further comprises a controlled air intake module M fixed in front of the air intake with reference to the movement axis X. The controlled air intake module M comprises sails V, an actuator A for controlling the sails V and a power supply harness F for the actuator A.

[0024] The controlled air inlet module M further comprises an interface edge I arranged in front of the crosspiece T with reference to the movement axis X and below the crosspiece T with reference to the vertical axis Z.

[0025] In the event of a repairability shock, the module M is pushed backwards by the shock CR and the interface edge I passes from the front of the cross member to the underside of the cross member T.

[0026] In the new arrangement of certain vehicles, the harness F is arranged on the interface edge I as illustrated in [Fig. 3]. Thus, the interface edge I carries the power supply harness F.

[0027] According to the invention, the harness F comprises a particular connector C. The connector C is equipped with a first slide relief Gl, preferably in the form of a tab as illustrated in [Fig.4].

[0028] Furthermore, the interface edge I comprises a second slide relief G2, preferably in the form of a rectilinear groove arranged parallel to the displacement axis X. The second slide relief G2 cooperates with the first slide relief G1 to move the connector C forwards with reference to the displacement axis X.

[0029] The aim is to avoid changing the facade T crosspiece following a CR repairable impact.

[0030] Furthermore, the cross member T comprises a forward-facing pusher structure P. The pusher structure P cooperates with the connector C to push the connector C forward with reference to the movement axis X.

[0031] In particular, the connector C comprises a rearwardly oriented rounded portion C1 visible in [Fig.4], and the pusher structure P comprises a hollow end C2 open towards the front and cooperating with the rounded portion C1 to push the connector C.

[0032] In particular, the modification within the scope of the invention essentially comprises a modification of the clipping direction of the connector C of the harness F of the frame of the module M. Thus, the first slide relief G1 and the second slide relief G2 are clipping structures fixed to each other.

[0033] In other words, within the framework of the invention, to avoid damaging the crosspiece T, it is proposed to clip the beam onto the top of the controlled air intake module frame M along the movement axis X only; and not along the lateral axis as in the prior art.

[0034] During a repairable impact CR front left, the harness F will unclip when it contacts the front crossmember T.

[0035] The invention has the effect of reducing the contact force between the connector C of the harness F and the facade crosspiece T. The connector C unclips under a low contact force with the facade crosspiece T without creating any risk of having to to change.
