Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Pipeline for collecting and transporting water out of an area
[0001] The invention relates to a pipeline intended to be installed in the ground of an area, for collecting and conveying water out of the area. The invention also relates to an installation comprising at least one such pipeline.
[0002] The invention applies in particular to swimming pool areas, to premises such as showers, or to any other area from which waste water must be evacuated to be directed to the recovery and treatment networks.
[0003] A type of pipeline is already known which comprises a conduit placed in the ground and a collection device mounted on the conduit so as to be flush with the surface of the ground, the water entering through orifices in the collection device and then being evacuated through the conduit.
[0004] The known pipelines, although generally satisfactory, are nevertheless complicated to implement. In addition, they do not allow for easy management of incidents that may occur during the life of the installation, such as damage to the pipeline.
[0005] The present invention aims to remedy the drawbacks mentioned above.
[0006] For this purpose, and according to a first aspect, the invention relates to a pipeline intended to be installed in the ground of an area, for collecting and conveying water out of the area. The pipeline defines a longitudinal direction and comprises: - a conduit having a substantially rectangular section and comprising a lower wall, an upper wall and two side walls, the conduit being intended to be placed under the surface of the ground with the lower wall arranged substantially horizontally, the upper wall comprising an opening extending longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit and the lower wall comprising on its inner face a groove extending longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit and forming a channel; - a collection device separate from the conduit, assembled thereto, and intended to be placed in the ground substantially flush with the surface of the ground, the collection device having a length substantially identical to the length of the conduit, having a U-shaped section and comprising an upper wall and two wings extending downwards from the upper wall, the upper wall comprising a plurality of orifices for the passage of water towards the interior of the pipe and a slot extending longitudinally and forming a rupture initiation, the collection device further comprising at least one reinforcing wall which projects inwards and connects each wing to the upper wall and which is configured to limit the inward movement of the wing.
[0007] Furthermore, the assembly of the collection device to the conduit is obtained, at least in part, by the cooperation between first assembly means provided on the conduit, on either side of the opening, and second assembly means provided on the wings of the collection device.
[0008] By providing a conduit with a rectangular cross-section, implementation is considerably facilitated. In fact, the conduit is stable and can maintain the position in which it was placed without requiring any holding means. In addition, problems of orientation around the axis of the conduit are avoided, which makes assembly between several conduits or between the conduit and another element of the installation easier. This advantageous shape of the conduit does not result in a degradation of the water conveyance function, thanks to the presence of the groove. This in fact allows for entirely satisfactory evacuation of residual water which, otherwise, could accumulate on the lower and flat interior face of the conduit, thus considerably limiting the consequences of water stagnation.
[0009] In addition, the pipeline has great robustness over time, this resulting in particular from the presence of a collection device separate from the conduit. Indeed, in the event of damage to the collection device, which is the visible element of the pipeline and therefore the element likely to be damaged, it is possible to change only this device and not the conduit as well, which would be particularly cumbersome insofar as the conduit is placed in the ground, for example embedded in mortar. The release of the collection device, difficult since it is housed in a small space that is difficult to access, is greatly facilitated by the presence of the slot forming an incipient rupture. An operator can quite simply cut the collection device along the slot and thus obtain two parts which are much easier to remove. In order that this slot does not weaken the structure of the collection device in normal use and does not generate a deformation of the collection device likely to lead to a separation of this device from the conduit, from which it is separate, the invention further provides at least one reinforcing wall. This aims to prevent a transverse narrowing of the collection device which could allow the second assembly means to no longer cooperate with the first assembly means, leading to an untimely release of the collection device from the conduit.
[0010] The collection device can be made in one piece or be formed from sections assembled together so as to obtain a total length substantially identical to that of the conduit.
[0011] The groove in the lower wall of the conduit may have a depth which is less than 50% of the thickness of the lower wall, or less than 40%, for example of the order of a third.
[0012] According to a possible embodiment, the first assembly means comprise, on each side of the opening, an arm projecting from the upper wall at a distance from the edge of the opening and upwards, the arm extending longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit, the upper end of the arm being provided with a return facing the other arm, the conduit thus forming two longitudinal grooves open towards each other.
[0013] The strip of the upper wall which is adjacent to the opening and located between the edge of the opening and the arm, may form a support wall for the corresponding wing of the collection device. Each of the grooves may be capable of receiving a part of a wing of the collection device, for example the second assembly means. The grooves may allow the collection device to be snapped onto the conduit or to slide longitudinally relative to the conduit. Bonding may be provided once the collection device 4 is mounted on the conduit 2, to improve the relative retention of the two parts.
[0014] The slot in the upper wall of the collection device may have a depth that is less than 35% of the thickness of said upper wall, or less than 25%, for example 20%. The slot may extend longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit. The slot may be provided on the inner face of the upper wall of the collection device.
[0015] According to a possible embodiment, the orifices provided in the upper wall of the collection device are oblong, with a width of less than 4 mm, for example of the order of 3 mm. Such an arrangement prevents injuries since it is not possible to accidentally insert a part of the body, even a child's finger, into such a small orifice. This also makes it possible to limit the entry into the pipe of undesirable elements such as hair, which can lead to blockages. The orifices can be provided along the entire length of the pipe.
[0016] For example, the orifices provided in the upper wall of the collection device are arranged parallel to each other and obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction. The oblique arrangement makes it possible to have a through portion on substantially any transverse segment of the collection device, which generally corresponds to the trajectory of the water to be collected heading towards the pipe. Thus, this avoids having stagnant water between two successive orifices along the longitudinal direction.
[0017] The reinforcing wall forms a spacer between the upper wall of the collection device and each of the wings. It may take the form of a generally triangular wall arranged at the angle between the upper wall and the wing concerned.
[0018] The reinforcing wall may take the form of two unconnected parts, one arranged between one wing and the upper wall of the collection device and the other arranged between the other wing and said upper wall.
[0019] Alternatively, the reinforcing wall may extend from one wing to the other. It may be arranged parallel to the orifices, between two successive orifices. The reinforcing wall may thus be arranged obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction.
[0020] The reinforcing wall has, for example, a lower edge that is substantially arch-shaped.
[0021] According to a possible embodiment, the lower end part of each of the wings of the collection device comprises an appendage having an L-shaped section with a first branch which is substantially parallel to the upper wall and projecting outwards, extended by a second branch which is substantially parallel to the wing and which extends downwards, the appendages forming the second assembly means. These appendages can each be housed in a groove of the conduit, in the assembled position of the pipeline.
[0022] Furthermore, the pipe may comprise a male member at one of its axial ends, and a female member at the other of its axial ends, to allow the assembly of two pipes identical to each other and coaxially, by male / female interlocking. These male and female members are for example arranged at the level of the upper wall of the collection device.
[0023] According to a second aspect, the invention relates to an installation comprising at least one pipeline as previously described and, in addition: - at least one housing assembled to the pipeline, the housing being substantially parallelepipedal and comprising a peripheral wall formed of four side walls, a bottom wall and an upper opening, at least one side wall of the housing comprising a hole surrounded by a sheath which projects outwards and which has a shape corresponding to that of the conduit so as to be able to receive the conduit with guidance; - a cover element removably mounted on the housing so as to close the upper opening of the housing with the exception of a passageway for water, the installation being configured so that the cover element is located substantially in the same plane as the upper edge of the housing and the upper face of the upper wall of the collection device, in the mounted position.
[0024] The water passageway preferably occupies less than 20% of the surface area of the upper opening of the housing.
[0025] According to a first embodiment, the covering element is a metal plate having substantially the same dimensions as the upper opening of the housing. The passageway for the water is then formed by orifices made in said plate. The plate rests on a support located inside the housing, such as a rim projecting from the peripheral wall of the housing inwards. The support can be arranged at the appropriate height of the housing to ensure that the metal plate is flush with the upper edge of the housing. Alternatively, a spacer can be interposed between the support and the metal plate to achieve the same result; such an arrangement can be used when the support also serves as a support for a thicker roofing element such as a tile, the spacer then serving as an adaptation member.
[0026] According to a second embodiment, the covering element is a tile having dimensions smaller than those of the upper opening of the housing, so as to provide an open peripheral space forming the passageway for the water, the tile resting on a support located inside the housing.
[0027] It is possible to provide a single support for a metal plate and a tile, the support then having to have discontinuities at its periphery to allow water to pass around the tile.
[0028] According to a possible embodiment, at least two of the side walls of the housing comprise a hole surrounded by a sheath and intended to be placed in fluid communication with a pipe.
[0029] It is thus possible to provide housings having one, two, three or four holes and, in the case of a housing having two holes, an arrangement of the holes in opposite side walls or in adjacent side walls. In such a set of housings of different configurations, an operator can choose the housing suitable for producing the desired installation. These different types of housings can be produced relatively simply with a single mold. The invention thus provides great flexibility.
[0030] Furthermore, the bottom wall of the housing may comprise a hole, the installation comprising a siphon configured to be inserted into said hole and / or a shutter making it possible to close said hole.
[0031] Several possible embodiments of the invention are now described, by way of non-limiting examples, with reference to the appended figures:

[0046] [Fig.l] represents an installation 100 intended to be installed in the ground 101 of a zone 110, for the collection and transport of water out of the zone 110. The zone 110 is for example a room such as the showers of a swimming pool.
[0047] As illustrated in Fig. 4, the floor 101 may typically comprise a mortar 102 having a substantially horizontal upper face 103, and floor tiles 104 - or other covering - glued to the mortar 102. The floor tiles 104 define the surface 105 of the floor, which is substantially horizontal or with a very slight slope towards the elements of the installation 100, in order to promote water collection.
[0048] The installation 100 is described in the position it occupies in the installed state, i.e. placed in the ground 101. It is with reference to this position that the terms “lower”, “upper” and the like are used.
[0049] The installation 100 comprises a pipe 1, or more generally several pipes 1 assembled together in the desired arrangement.
[0050] As seen in Figures 3 and 4, the pipe 1 defines a longitudinal direction X which is horizontal in the installed state, and a transverse direction also horizontal in the installed state, and orthogonal to the longitudinal direction X. The vertical direction is noted Z.
[0051] The pipeline 1 comprises a conduit 2 and a collection device 4 which is separate from the conduit but assembled to it. In other words, the conduit 2 and the collection device collection 4 are made separately; they are initially separate parts. However, it is not excluded that the conduit 2 and the collection device 4 may form a single part in the assembled position, depending on the nature of the assembly.
[0052] The conduit 2 and the collection device 4 may be made of plastic material, preferably recycled, for example by extrusion. The conduit 2 and the collection device 4 are in the form of profiles. The conduit 2 may for example have a length of approximately 2 m, which simplifies transport and reduces deflection and bending. The collection device 4 may be formed of sections of approximately 50 cm assembled together so as to obtain a total length substantially identical to that of the conduit 2.
[0053] The conduit 2 has a substantially rectangular section. It comprises a lower wall 21, an upper wall 22 and two side walls 23. In the installed state, as seen in [Fig. 4], the conduit 2 is placed under the surface 105 of the ground, embedded in the mortar 102, the lower wall 21 being arranged substantially horizontally. The conduit 2 has a plane of symmetry P parallel to the side walls 23. The junction zones between the walls 21, 22, 23 of the conduit 2 preferably have a rounded inner wall so as to avoid water stagnation.
[0054] The upper wall 22 comprises an opening 24 which extends longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit 2. The opening 24 is preferably centered relative to the plane P, and may have a width - along the transverse direction Y - of the order of a third of the width of the conduit 2. The opening has two edges 25 oriented longitudinally.
[0055] On either side of the opening 24, the conduit 2 comprises an arm 26 which projects from the upper wall 22, at a distance from the edge 25 of the opening 24 and upwards. The arm 26 extends longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit 2. In addition, the upper end of the arm 26 comprises a return 27 which is turned towards the other arm 26 and which may comprise on its upper face, on the inner side, a ramp 28 oriented towards the lower wall 21 and towards the plane P. In the transverse direction Y, the return 27 has a free end further from the plane P than the edge 25 of the opening 24.
[0056] The portion of the upper wall 22 of the conduit 2 which is located between the edge 25 of the opening 24 and the arm 26 defines a strip 29 extending longitudinally opposite and below the return 27.
[0057] The strip 29, the arm 26 and the return 27 thus form a groove 30 extending longitudinally and open towards the plane P. In other words, the conduit 2 forms two longitudinal grooves 30 open towards each other.
[0058] Furthermore, the lower wall 21 of the conduit 2 has on its inner face a groove 31 which extends longitudinally over the entire length of the conduit 2. The groove 31 can be substantially centered, that is to say equidistant from the two side walls 23 of the conduit 2.
[0059] The groove 31 forms a channel, that is to say a small-sized conduit allowing the water to flow. The groove 31 has, for example, a depth p31 which is less than 50%, or even 40%, of the thickness e21 of the lower wall 21. Apart from in the vicinity of the groove 31, the lower 21, upper 22 and side 23 walls of the conduit 2 preferably have the same substantially constant thickness e21.
[0060] The collection device 4 has a length substantially identical to that of the conduit 2. It has a U-shaped section and comprises an upper wall 41 and two wings 42 extending from the upper wall 41 downwards.
[0061] The assembly of the collection device 4 to the conduit 2 is obtained, at least in part, by the cooperation between: - first assembly means provided on the conduit 2, on either side of the opening 24, these first assembly means comprising the two arms 26; - and second assembly means provided on the wings 42 of the collection device 4.
[0062] The first and second assembly means are complementary. They can allow the production of a removable assembly, that is to say allow the disengagement of the collection device 4 with respect to the conduit 2 without damaging one or other of these parts, at least when the pipe 1 is not in the installed state, that is to say when the conduit 2 is not embedded in the mortar 102. Alternatively, an irremovable assembly could be provided, that is to say where the separation of the collection device 4 and the conduit 2 could only be done with a tool and / or by significantly degrading or even breaking one or other of these parts.
[0063] According to a possible embodiment, the second assembly means are formed by appendages of the collection device 4. More specifically, the lower end part of each of the wings 42 may comprise an appendage 43 having an L-shaped section with a first branch 44 which is substantially parallel to the upper wall 41 and projects outwards, extended by a second branch 45 which is substantially parallel to the wing 42 and which extends downwards. In addition, the lower end of the appendage 43 may comprise on its lower face, on the outer side, a ramp 48 oriented towards the lower wall 21 and towards the plane P.
[0064] In the mounted position of the collection device 4 on the conduit 2, as illustrated in FIGS. 3 and 4, each of the appendages 43 is engaged in a groove 30. Due to the return 27 and the outwardly projecting position of the appendages 43, the collection device 4 cannot move unexpectedly upwards to disengage. lidarize the conduit 2. Furthermore, the strip 29 of the upper wall 22 of the conduit 2 can form a support wall for the corresponding wing 42 of the collection device 4.
[0065] The assembly of the collection device 4 and the conduit 2 can be carried out by snap-fastening, the cooperation between the ramp 28 provided on the conduit and the ramp 48 provided on the collection device 4 allowing the appendages 43 to pass beyond the return 27 and then to be housed in the grooves 30. Alternatively, the collection device 4 can be mounted on the conduit 2 by engaging the appendages 43 in the grooves 30 from an axial end of the conduit 2 and then longitudinal sliding of the collection device 4 relative to the conduit 2, this sliding being guided by the grooves 30. These assembly methods are simple and can be carried out by an operator on a construction site. It is not necessary to provide for factory assembly.
[0066] In the installed state of the pipe 1, as seen in [Fig. 4], the upper face 103 of the mortar 102 is located above the conduit 2, opposite the wings 42 and above the appendages 43. In addition, the upper face 41 of the collection device 4 is substantially flush with the surface 105 of the ground, possibly very slightly below this surface 105 of the ground. In addition, a space 106 is provided between the floor tiles 104 and the collection device 4, to accommodate any deformations. The space 106 is of reduced width, for example less than 1 mm.
[0067] The upper wall 41 of the collection device 4 comprises a plurality of orifices 46 for the passage of water towards the interior of the pipe 1, with a view to its evacuation via the conduit 2. The orifices 46 are for example oblong and of reduced width 1, less than 4 or even 3 mm.
[0068] According to a possible embodiment, the orifices 46 are arranged parallel to each other and obliquely relative to the longitudinal direction X. They are preferably substantially regularly distributed, and may extend over the entire length of the collection device 4.
[0069] Furthermore, the upper wall 41 of the collection device 4 comprises a slot 47 which extends longitudinally. The slot 47 may extend over the entire length of the collection device 4; it may be continuous; it may be centered along the transverse direction Y; it is preferably provided on the inner face of the upper wall 4L. The slot 47 forms a break initiation intended to facilitate the cutting or breaking of the upper wall 21 in order to remove the collection device 4 from the first assembly means provided on the conduit 2, typically when the collection device 4 is damaged and must be changed. The slot 47 has for example a depth p47 which is less than 35%, or even 25% of the thickness e41 of the upper wall 41 of the collection device 4. As can be seen in [Fig.6], apart from in the vicinity of the slot 47, the upper wall 41 and the wings 42 of the device collection device 4 preferably have the same substantially constant thickness e41.
[0070] The collection device 4 further comprises at least one reinforcing wall 50 which projects inwards and connects each wing 42 to the upper wall 41. The reinforcing wall 50 aims to prevent or limit the movement of each wing 42 inwards, for example by bending around a longitudinal axis located in the vicinity of the edge between the wing 42 and the upper wall 4L Such a transverse narrowing of the collection device 4 could lead to its disengagement from the grooves 30. This could be the consequence of structural deformations of the zone 110, in particular following expansions, leading for example to a transverse thrust of the tiled tiles 104 against the collection device 4. The reinforcing wall 50 also makes it possible to improve the resistance to the passage of maintenance machines.
[0071] In the embodiment shown by way of example, the collection device 4 comprises several reinforcing walls 50 spaced from one another and distributed along the length of the collection device 4. Furthermore, each reinforcing wall 50 forms a single piece which extends from one wing 42 to the other. Each reinforcing wall 50 can be arranged parallel to the orifices 46, between two successive orifices 46.
[0072] The reinforcing wall 50 may comprise for each wing 42 a plate of generally triangular shape arranged at the angle between said wing 42 and the upper wall 41, these two plates being connected by a central bar. In addition, the reinforcing wall 50 may have a lower edge 51 substantially in the shape of an arch.
[0073] In an installation 100, such as that shown in [Fig.l], several pipes 1, preferably identical, can be assembled to each other substantially coaxially. For this purpose, a sleeve 60 can be provided to be placed around two adjacent conduits 2, the sleeve 60 having for example a C-shaped cross-section corresponding to the rectangular section of the conduits 1. In the installed state, the sleeve 60 is not visible because it is embedded in the mortar 102.
[0074] In addition to this assembly of the conduits 2, the collection devices 4 of the adjacent pipes 1 can also be assembled to each other.
[0075] For this purpose, the collection device 4 comprises a male member at one of its axial ends, as illustrated in [Fig. 9], and a female member at the other of its axial ends, as illustrated in [Fig. 8]. The male and female members are configured to cooperate with each other to allow the assembly of two collection devices 4 identical to each other and coaxially, by male / female interlocking. Such interlocking also ensures the correct mutual positioning of the assembled devices. In the embodiment shown by way of example, the male member is in the form of a tongue 52 projecting longitudinally from the upper wall 41, and the female member is in the form of a notch 53 of a shape substantially identical to the tongue 52, formed in the wall upper 41. A transverse stop 54 can also be provided at the bottom of the notch 53.
[0076] Two pipes 1 can also be connected to each other via a housing 70. An example of a housing is illustrated in [Fig. 10].
[0077] The housing 70 is substantially parallelepipedal and comprises a peripheral wall formed of four side walls 71, a bottom wall 72 and an upper opening 73. In the installed state, the bottom wall 72 of the housing 70 is substantially horizontal. The housing 70 further comprises a rim 80 projecting from the peripheral wall of the housing 70 inwards, at a distance from the upper edge 79 of the housing.
[0078] At least one of the side walls 71 of the housing 70 comprises a hole 74, the hole 74 being surrounded by a sheath 75 which projects outwards and which has a shape corresponding to that of the conduit 2 so as to be able to receive the conduit 2 with guidance. Thus, the sheath may have a main part having a C-shaped section to surround the conduit 2, the ends of which are extended by two tabs 76 capable of cooperating with the appendages 43 of the wings 42 of the collection device 4 mounted on the conduit 2. The edge of the hole 74 may comprise, in the lower part, a groove 77 similar to the groove 31 formed on the conduit 2.
[0079] [Fig. 10] illustrates a housing in which each of the four side walls 71 has a hole 74, for the cross connection of four pipes 1. However, the invention also provides housings 70 having one, two or three side walls 71 provided with a hole 74, depending on the desired arrangement of the installation 100.
[0080] The presence of a housing 70 may be useful for a non-coaxial assembly of the pipes 1, but not only. Indeed, the housing can serve as an inspection hatch. It can also be provided with a siphon 61 ([Fig. 11]) which is inserted into a hole 78 made in the bottom wall 72 of the housing 70. Such a siphon 61 makes it possible to prevent odors from rising. In the absence of a siphon, the hole 78 can be blocked by a shutter 62, illustrated in [Fig. 12].
[0081] The installation 100 also comprises a cover element which is removably mounted on the housing 70 so as to close the upper opening 73, with the exception of a passageway for water. The installation 100 is configured so that the cover element is located substantially in the same plane as the upper edge 79 of the housing 70 and the upper face of the upper wall 41 of the collection device 4, in the mounted position.
[0082] It is also possible to provide a housing 70 whose side walls 71 are all solid, that is to say none of the side walls 71 have a hole 74. Such a housing is therefore not intended to be connected to a pipe. On the other hand, it can be used with a siphon such as that shown in [Fig.l 1], in particular in areas where it is not possible to install a pipe. Such a housing then makes it possible to collect the water, via the passageway provided in or around the covering element, to evacuate it towards a recovery network, and to avoid the rise of odors.
[0083] According to a first embodiment, shown in Figures 2 and 13, the cover element is a metal plate 81 having substantially the same dimensions as the upper opening 73 of the housing 70. Orifices 82 are provided in the plate 81, and form the passageway for the water. Preferably, these orifices 82 take the same shape as the orifices 46 provided in the collection device 4, such as oblong holes arranged obliquely. Other embodiments are however possible. In addition, the plate 81 rests on the rim 80 of the housing, by means of a spacer 83 which allows a height adjustment to ensure that the plate 81 is flush with the upper edge 79 of the housing 70.
[0084] According to a second embodiment, shown in [Fig. 14], the covering element is a tile 104 having dimensions smaller than those of the upper opening 73 of the housing 70. In this way, an open peripheral space is provided around the tile 104 and forms the passageway for the water. The tile 104 rests on a support 84 located inside the housing 70. For example, this support 84 comprises a base 85 resting on the bottom wall 72 of the housing 70, and a central shelf 86 for receiving the tile 104. In addition, the shelf 86 is surrounded, at a distance, by a centering edge 87 cooperating with the inner face of the peripheral wall of the housing 70. Between the shelf 86 and the centering edge 87 is therefore provided an open peripheral space 88 allowing the passage of water towards the interior.
[0085] The free end of a pipe 1, not connected to another pipe or to a housing 70, can be closed by a plug 63.
[0086] In addition, the water collected and conveyed by the pipe 1 can be evacuated by means of a device 64 comprising a base surrounding a conduit 2 connected to a pipe. The evacuation is carried out by the pipe, via an orifice provided in the lower wall 21 of the conduit 2 and an orifice provided in the base of the device 64, both communicating with the pipe.
[0087] Thus, the invention provides a decisive improvement to the prior art, by providing an installation that is simple to set up, robust over time, easily repairable if necessary, modular, and of reduced cost. The invention offers a global, versatile and adaptable solution.
