Abstract

The present invention relates to a table (10) comprising: - a main top (12) which extends generally in a transverse plane, - a base (14) which supports the main top (12), - at least one upper housing (20) and one lower housing (26) which are arranged one above the other and which are supported by the base (14), each housing (20, 26) having generally the shape of a transverse slot, - at least one support element (28) capable of supporting accessory holders (30), the support element (28) comprising an upper fixing plate (32) and a lower fixing plate (34) which are arranged one above the other and which are intended to be received respectively in the upper housing (20) and the lower housing (26). [0002] The invention relates more particularly to a modular table capable of having several configurations for several uses. Technical background

[0003] Modular tables are already known, for example extending tables which allow a table to be changed from a first dimension to a larger dimension, for example by means of auxiliary trays mounted in an articulated manner relative to a main tray.

[0004] An object of the present invention is to propose a new model of modular table which is both simple and economical, and which has a multiplicity of uses. Summary of the invention

[0005] The invention provides a table comprising: - a main plateau which extends generally in a transverse plane, - a base which supports the main top, - at least one upper housing and one lower housing which are arranged one above the other and which are carried by the base, each housing having the overall shape of a transverse slot, - at least one support element capable of carrying accessory holders, the support element comprising an upper fixing plate and a lower fixing plate which are arranged one above the other and which are intended to be received respectively in the upper housing and the lower housing.

[0007] - each fixing plate has a thickness substantially equal to the thickness corresponding to the associated housing, so that the support element can be held on the table by embedding the fixing plates in the housings;

The thickness of the upper fixing plate 32 is close to the vertical thickness of the upper housing 20 delimited by the main tabletop 12 and the peripheral frame 18.

The first and second accessory holders 30 are here replaced by a double accessory holder configured to carry small cylindrical containers such as bottles for condiments of the salt, pepper, oil, vinegar type.

Claims

1. Table (10) comprising: - a main top (12) which extends generally in a transverse plane, - a base (14) which carries the main top (12), - at least one upper housing (20) and one lower housing (26) which are arranged one above the other and which are carried by the base (14), each housing (20, 26) having generally the shape of a transverse slot, - at least one support element (28) capable of carrying accessory holders (30), the support element (28) comprising an upper fixing plate (32) and a lower fixing plate (34) which are arranged one above the other and which are intended to be received respectively in the upper housing (20) and the lower housing (26).

Table (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that each fixing plate (32, 34) has a thickness substantially equal to the corresponding thickness of the associated housing (20, 26), so that the support element (28) can be retained on the table (10) by embedding the fixing plates (32, 34) in the housings (20, 26).

3. Table (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the support element (28) comprises at least one pillar (38) which connects the two fixing plates (32, 34) together.

4. Table (10) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the pillar (38) comprises an upper end section which extends above the upper fixing plate (32) and which carries at least a first accessory holder (30).

5. Table (10) according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the pillar (38) comprises an intermediate section, located between the two fixing plates (32, 34), which carries at least one second accessory holder (30).

6. Table (10) according to one of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that each accessory holder (30) comprises a hooking portion (44) in the form of a plate provided with a through orifice (36) which allows the pillar (38) to pass through the hooking portion (44).

7. Table (10) according to one of claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the support element (28) comprises two or three parallel pillars (38).

8. Table (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a peripheral frame (18), or a secondary top, arranged under the main top (12) so as to form the upper housing (20).

9. Table (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises two intermediate tops (22, 24) superimposed and carried by the base (14) so as to form the lower housing (26).

10. Table (10) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises at least one removable extension tray (44) which is mounted by embedding in the upper housing (20) or the lower housing (26).
